According to different studies, such difficulties were different in scale in different cities depending on the demographic attributes of the people. This phenomenon has created the essence of the current study to examine the health conditions in terms of their mental health, lifestyle, and demographic attributes during and immediate past of the COVID-19 era. Method: It was a cross-sectional study covering the people of Dhaka City Corporation. For this purpose, a multistage sampling method was applied, under which the respondents were selected randomly and a self-administered structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The questionnaire was developed based on the DASS 21, as it was suitable to measure the components of mental health in the form of depression, anxiety, and stress. Descriptive analysis and cross-tabulation were applied to find out the association between dependent and independent variables, whereas, a chi-square test was performed to examine the hypothesis. Finally, multivariate analysis was done to find out the risk factors. Three logistic regression models were developed for three dependent variables. Result: The findings of the analysis revealed that the lifestyle of people had severely influenced the components of their mental health conditions during and immediate past of COVID-19 in the Dhaka City Corporation, which varies to some extent depending on the demographic attributes of those. Conclusion: The above findings are statistically significant enough to conclude about the essence of taking preventive measures regarding mental health issues in the future. However, the limitations of this study-keeping it within the urban areas and the educated people, have also created the venue for future researchers to move with their research endeavors in the rural areas nationwide and thus generalize the results.展开更多

Framed in the so-called “safety culture” developed by the WHO, based on the Protocol for its implementation of the CABA and attentive to its frequent use in CABA by different hospital services (medical clinic, geriatrics, intensive care and medical guards) we consider it necessary its study in terms of compliance with the risks it entails and its management. Objectives: Identify regulatory compliance with the GCABA Mechanical restraint (MR) Protocol from a patient safety perspective, as well as describe the clinical and medicolegal aspects, and propose the usefulness of a tool for its management and control. Methodology: Observational, descriptive, transversal and prospective work through the analysis of Clinical Records with indication of MR using a rubric-type form. 177 cases were analyzed between September-November 2023 from three hospitals of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, statistical parameters were applied and graphs were made. Results: Only 12.99% complied with the Protocol. In the mental health specialized hospital compliance was almost 5 times greater than in the general one, and in the emergency services compliance was 12 times greater than in Inpatient services. We found that the start or end time of MR was not recorded and only 43% described the causes/justifications for the indication (mostly in Emergency and Specialized hospitals), with the MR average time being shorter in Emergency. Conclusions: Only 1.3 out of 10 patients reliably completed the Protocol and it was mostly in the mental health specialized hospital and the emergency services. The results show non-compliance behavior in the application and management of the risk that the use of mechanical restraints entails, being causes for criminal litigation. We consider that the checklists are useful to complete the Protocol and thus provide security to patients and professionals.展开更多

MSWM encompasses a range of interdisciplinary measures that govern the various stages involved in managing unwanted or non-utilizable solid materials, commonly known as rubbish, trash, junk, refuse, and garbage. These stages include generation, storage, collection, recycling, transportation, handling, disposal, and monitoring. The waste materials mentioned in this context exhibit a wide range of items, such as organic waste from food and vegetables, paper, plastic, polyethylene, iron, tin cans, deceased animals, byproducts from demolition activities, manure, and various other discarded materials. This study aims to provide insights into the possibilities of enhancing solid waste management in the Farmgate area of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC). To accomplish this objective, the research examines the conventional waste management methods employed in this area. It conducts extensive field surveys, collecting valuable data through interviews with local residents and key individuals involved in waste management, such as waste collectors, dealers, intermediate dealers, recyclers, and shopkeepers. The results indicate that significant amounts of distinct waste categories are produced daily. These include food and vegetable waste, which amount to 52.1 tons/day;polythene and plastic, which total 4.5 tons/day;metal and tin-can waste, which amounts to 1.4 tons/day;and paper waste, which totals 5.9 tons/day. This study highlights the significance of promoting environmental consciousness to effectively shape the attitudes of urban residents toward waste disposal and management. It emphasizes the need for collaboration between authorities and researchers to improve the current waste management system.展开更多

文摘Based on the conventional observation data and NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data, the circulation situation, influencing systems and causes of the heavy rain during September 20-21,2010 in Ulanqab City were analyzed from the evolution process of weather circulation situation and the changes of various physical quantity fields. The results show that there was an obvious frontal zone between 45-52°N,which brought strong cold air.The transport of warm and humid air outside the subtropical high and typhoon was the main water vapor source of the strong precipitation, and the southwest jet at 700 hPa transported abundant water vapor. There was a broad inverted trough to the south of 45°N,with a central value of 1000.0 hPa.Ulanqab City was on the top of the inverted trough, stable and less moved, which was conducive to the occurrence of systematic heavy precipitation. The rainstorm was a strong precipitation process caused by the intersection of cold air brought by the southward movement of the upper frontal zone and warm and humid air outside the subtropical high. After the precipitation, the invasion of strong cold air brought frost and cold wave weather to Ulanqab City.
文摘A “Forest City” (FC) is an urban area that has a significant amount of forest cover. It is now a green urban development strategy that is supported by numerous nations. This essay compares the many FC implementation strategies used in developed and developing countries and explores potential future paths for this tactic. The variations between FC in terms of measurement targets, air purification, street trees, and forestry development are thoroughly compared in this research. This essay goes on to explore FC’s potential in the future regarding policy changes and the environment based on this comparison. Therefore, this essay focuses on the necessity of considering industrial innovation, encouraging biodiversity, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, paying attention to forest restructuring, and being more responsive to the issues provided by urbanization in the future global implementation of FC.

文摘Mainstream media play a crucial role in constructing the cultural memory of a city. This study used 319 short videos released by“Hi Chengdu,”a new media product of Chengdu Radio and Television,as samples.Based on the grounded theory,a research framework encompassing“content, technology, and discourse”was established to explore the paths through which mainstream media construct the cultural memory.Regarding content, this paper emphasized temporal and spatial contexts and urban spaces, delving deep into the themes of the cultural memory and vehicles for it.In terms of technology, this paper discussed the practice of leveraging audio/visual-mode discourse to stitch together the impressions of a city and evoke emotional resonance to create a“flow”of memory. As for discourse, this paper looked at the performance of a communication ritual to frame concepts and shape urban identity. It is essential to break free from conventional thinking and leverage local culture as the primary driving force to further boost a city’s productivity,in order to excel in cultural communication.
文摘Introduction: Mechanical or physical restraint is an exceptional therapeutic resource to immobilize a subject and thus guarantee the safety of the patient and/or third parties in the face of high-risk behaviors, but it entails multiple crossings (bioethical, philosophical, medical, psychological, legal). We consider that the checklists are useful to complete the Protocol and thus provide security to patients and professionals.
文摘This investigation is focused on conducting a thorough analysis of Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM). It emphasizes the need for collaboration between authorities and researchers to improve the current waste management system.
文摘As an important part of urban construction,elderly-friendly construction is crucial to the formation of an elderly-friendly society, which has been widely recognized internationally.Especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, various organizations around the world have called for changes in public space and urban building planning, with an emphasis on the accessibility of green spaces. This underscores the complexity and difficulty of integrating vulnerable groups of the elderly into cities and using infrastructure and public space.
文摘Green space,as a medium for carrying out urban functions and guiding urban development,is becoming a scarce resource along with the urbanization process and the intensification of environmental problems. In the face of the spatial mismatch between high demand and low supply,it is of great significance to clarify the evolution mechanism of green space to undertake national spatial planning, protect the natural strategic resources in the urban fringe area, and promote the sustainable development of the“three living spaces.”The study focuses on the Zunyi City Center, selecting the 20 years of rapid development following its establishment as a city as the study period. It explores the dynamic evolution of green space and the main driving forces during different periods using remote-sensing image data. The study shows that from 2003 to 2023,the total scale of green space has an obvious decreasing trend along with the expansion of the urban built-up area.A large amount of arable land is being converted to construction land, resulting in a sudden decrease in arable land area.In the past 10 years, the comprehensive land use dynamics have accelerated.Still, the spatial difference has gradually narrowed, indicating that the overall development intensity of Zunyi City’s central urban area has increased. There is a gradual spread of the trend to the hilly areas. The limiting effect of the mountainous natural environment on the city’s development has gradually diminished under the superposition of external factors, such as economic development, industrial technological upgrading, and policy orientation so the importance of the effective protection and rational utilization of urban green space has become more prominent.
文摘This article presents an analysis of the patterns of interactions resulting from the positive and negative emotional events that occur in cities, considering them as complex systems. It explores, from the imaginaries, how certain urban objects can act as emotional agents and how these events affect the urban system as a whole. An adaptive complex systems perspective is used to analyze these patterns. The results show patterns in the processes and dynamics that occur in cities based on the objects that affect the emotions of the people who live there. These patterns depend on the characteristics of the emotional charge of urban objects, but they can be generalized in the following process:(1)immediate reaction by some individuals;(2)emotions are generated at the individual level which begins to generalize, permuting to a collective emotion;(3)a process of reflection is detonated in some individuals from the reading of collective emotions;(4)integration/significance in the community both at the individual and collective level,on the concepts, roles and/or functions that give rise to the process in the system. Therefore,it is clear that emotions play a significant role in the development of cities and these aspects should be considered in the design strategies of all kinds of projects for the city.Future extensions of this work could include a deeper analysis of specific emotional events in urban environments,as well as possible implications for urban policy and decision making.

文摘Based on a total of 16 indicators selected from the tourism and transport industries,an evaluation index system of the coupling and coordination development level of tourism and transport is constructed. The entropy value method and the coupling coordination degree model are used to conduct an empirical study on the development level and coupling coordination level of the transport and tourism industries in Chengdu City from 2011 to 2020.The results show that,on the whole, the coupling coordination degree of transport and tourism in Chengdu is poor and has been in a state of mild to moderate dysfunction. The development level of tourism lagged behind the development of transport from 2011 to 2012,and the two were in a state of mild dysfunction. However, from 2013 onwards, the development level of tourism was prioritized over the development level of transport. This shift caused the coupling coordination degree of the two industries to decline sharply to 0.23305 in 2013.The development level of the tourism industry increased again, reaching 0.34206 in 2019,which marked an improvement.Consequently, the coordination degree of the transport and tourism industries evolved from moderate dislocation to mild dislocation. Finally, the results of the empirical research are analyzed, and corresponding suggestions are put forward to promote the sustainable growth of the transport and tourism industries in Chengdu City. These suggestions aim to improve the coupled and coordinated development level of the two industries.

文摘With the acceleration of urbanization, changes in the urban ecological environment and landscape pattern have led to a series of prominent ecological environmental problems. In order to better coordinate the balanced relationship between city and ecological environment,we selected land use change data to evaluate the habitat quality in Hohhot City of China, which is of great practical significance for regional urban and economic development. Thus, the integrated valuation of ecosystem services and tradeoffs(InVEST)and Cellular Automata-Markov(CA-Markov)models were used to analyze, predict, and explore the Spatiotemporal evolution path and characteristics of urban land use,and forecast the typical evolution pattern of land use in 2030.The results showed that the land use types in Hohhot City changed significantly from 2000 to 2020,and the biggest change took place in cultivated land, grassland, shrub, and artificial surface. The decrease of cultivated land area and the increase of artificial surface area were the main impact trend of land use change. The average value of habitat quality had been decreasing continuously from 2000 to 2020,and the values of habitat degradation were 0.2605,0.2494,and 0.2934 in 2000,2010,and 2020,respectively,showing a decreasing trend. The decrease of habitat quality was caused by the needs of economic development and urban construction,as well as the impact of land occupation.During this evolution, many cultivated land and urban grassland had been converted into construction land. The simulated land use changes in 2030 are basically the same as those during 2000-2020,and the habitat quality will still be declining. The regional changes are influenced by the urban rapid development and industrial layout. These results can provide decision-making reference for regional urban planning and management as well as habitat quality evaluation.
文摘In order to deal with global climate warming and practice the construction of national ecological civilization,a sponge city has become an important national plan for regional comprehensive management and development because it can systematically solve the issues of regional water resources, water security, water environment and water ecology, and provide a comprehensive plan of sustainable development for regional water control, storage and use.Sponge city construction has been carried out across the country. In this paper, taking Dalang Town as an example, and combining its local climate, geological geomorphology, hydrological conditions, current situation and future planning of urban space, management system and other characteristics, the connotation, construction strategy and objectives, index decomposition and other key contents of sponge city were discussed, and the methods of sponge city construction in the builtup area with high rainfall, abundant groundwater and high density were studied to provide reference for formulating solutions and schemes for Dalang Town and developing sponge city construction in the Pearl River Delta.
