As an classical book which disputes endlessly on the completed time but systematic and detailed record on official function, rituals and sacrificial vessels, Zhouli (Rites of Zhou) has become a paradoxical existence: on the one hand, it’s a crucial reference document frequently quoted for reconstructing the propriety in the past dynasties and explaining the ritual remains in modern archeology;on the other hand, its authenticity and edition age are always questioned. So the completed time of Zhouli is still a bottleneck problem and cannot be ignored. This article focuses on the tradition of sacrificial jade Bi and Gui based on the written documents and archeological findings, demonstrate once again that Zhouli was completed in early Han dynasty. 展开更多

The national image is a comprehensive concept with a distinct political feature, including the international image presented to the outside world, and also encompassing the national identity of the people. With the development of globalization, international cultural communication has become a crucial part of shaping the national image, and the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics has become an important opportunity for China to showcase its national image to the world in the post-pandemic era.Based on Forceville’s multimodal metaphor theory, this paper examines the metaphorical phenomena contained in the performance and their functions, effects, and purposes in the construction of the national image. It is found that there are many scenes, images, and narratives in the opening ceremony, including war metaphor, competition metaphor, personification metaphor, and other conceptual metaphors. The focus of this paper is on multimodal metaphor in a broad sense, mainly encompassing auditory and visual modes.Through the use of these multimodal metaphors, the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics builds an image of a vibrant,peace-loving,and responsible country, which not only demonstrates China’s cultural self-confidence,but also expresses the Chinese people’s beautiful vision for the early reunification of the motherland. 展开更多

This study provided foundational data for use in nursing interventional methods for improving nurse-patient relationships. This was a descriptive study on the effectiveness of a Japanese tea ceremony (in Japanese: chado) intervention for improving nurse-patient relationships. I conducted a Japanese tea ceremony and examined changes in nurses’ awareness regarding interactions with patients after this intervention. The tea ceremonies were conducted with the cooperation of an Urasenke tea ceremony lecturer. A quiet environment with chairs and tables was provided for all participants while they provided written answers to a descriptive survey, which was administered before and after the intervention;they required approximately 20 min to complete the survey. The mean length of each nurse’s description was 800 characters. The tea ceremony was effective in bringing about definite changes in nurses’ awareness concerning interactions with patients. This study is useful in that it suggests how nurses can maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients. 展开更多

The earliest known image of the binding of Isaac, known as the Akedah,is on a Torah shrine in a synagogue in Dura Europos,Syria dating before 244(fig.1).It shows a fully developed iconography of a young Isaac on the altar with the burning wood, the ram by the tree,Abraham holding the knife, and the hand of God issuing from a cloud.Though the visual narrative is largely based on the account of the Akedah in Genesis 22,it also relies on details found in other Jewish literary sources that include the Talmud,Targum Onkelos,Targum Pseudo-Jonathan,commentary on Genesis by Rashi,Midrash account of Pirkei De Rabbi Eliezer, and Genesis Rabbah. This paper will present unexplored Jewish sources for the iconography of the Akedah/Sacrifice of Isaac in art of Late Antiquity. 展开更多

Self-sacrificial template, which is freshly precipitated Ni(OH)2 colloid, is used to fabricate ultrafine core-shell nickel spheres. The size distribution, morphology, chemical and catalyzed properties of the synthesized spheres can be controlled by regulating the preparation conditions. The varying conditions are: initial nickel ion concentration, the pH value of the solution, the scouring agent and the anion in saline solution. With very little Ni2+ concentration in the solution, the hollow spheres are formed. The higher the alkali content, the more the ultrafine colloidal cores. 展开更多
