Compared to 1980-1999, after 2000, the ENSO amplitude weakened, the occurrence of the central Pacific (CP) Et Nino increased, and the eastern Pacific (EP) El Nino became suppressed. Meanwhile, the dominant period of ENSO shortened from quasi-quadrennial (QQ) to quasi-biennial (QB). The authors show that these changes in ENSO properties are evidently consistent with the change in the stability of the ENSO mode through connecting the two ENSO types with the two coupled ENSO modes, i.e. the QQ and QB modes. It is suggested that the relative activity or stability of the two ENSO modes changed after the year 2000. The intensity of both the QQ and QB mode weakened. The QQ mode, which is linked to EP ENSO and was significantly strong during 1980-1999, became much weaker after 2000 in terms of the EP type almost disappearing. Compared with the weakness of the QQ mode, the QB mode, as manifested by the CP type, remained active and became dominant in the tropical Pacific after 2000. Analysis shows that the changes in mean states in the tropical Pacific were likely responsible for the interdecadal ENSO changes around the year 2000.展开更多
The regulation of climate change risk is an important measure for China to achieve the goal of"carbon neutrality and carbon peak".Although China has built a legal regulation system for environmental risk at ...The regulation of climate change risk is an important measure for China to achieve the goal of"carbon neutrality and carbon peak".Although China has built a legal regulation system for environmental risk at the macro level,and normative and functionalism have constructed different paths for regulating climate change risk,it is necessary to analysis the two paths at the micro level,in order to examine its adaptability to climate change risk.The normative mode of climate change risk regulation emphasizes the clarity of the legal regulation system,controls the regulatory subject formally,and pays attention to the role of judicial review;The functionalist mode of climate change risk regulation emphasizes the authorization of regulatory subjects,and identifies and manages climate change risks in the way of administrative self-control.In order to regulate climate change risk,in addition to the traditional way of solving the problem of"normalization"and"functionalism",there is also a third regulatory mode,that is,to overcome the inherent shortcomings and defects of both functionalism and normalization,and to integrate the two necessary:not only pay attention to the legal normative requirements of the normative mode,but also mobilize the initiative of administrative regulation under functionalism,and strengthen the judicial prevention function,and then improve the effe ctiveness of China’s participation in global climate change governance.展开更多

In this paper,we take two geogr...The mathematical model is often used for fitting the trend of changes in cultivated land resources in the land use planning,but the fitting effect is different in different study areas. In this paper,we take two geographically adjacent cities with great differences in the economic development model,Xinghua City and Jingjiang City,as the research object. Using logarithmic model( M1),Kuznets model( M2),logistic model( M3) and multivariate linear model( M4),we fit the process of changes in cultivated land resources during the period 1980- 2009,and compare the differences in the fitting effect between different models. In terms of the model fitting effect in Xinghua City,it is in the order of M3 > M4 > M1 > M2,which is related to the fact that the local areas lay great emphasis on agricultural development,and pay close attention to ensuring the cultivated land area; in terms of the model fitting effect in Jingjiang City,it is in the order of M1 > M3 > M4 > M2,and the deep-seated cause is that its development model is dominated by extended trade expansion,and the level of intensive land use is constantly improved. In addition,we discuss the multi-stage characteristics of changes in cultivated land resources,and propose a solution of using the same model to simulate in various phases. The research results in Jingjiang City show that the coefficient of determination in the first phase( R2=0. 958) and the standard error( SE = 0. 261) are both better than those of the original model( R2= 0. 945,SE = 0. 312); the coefficient of determination in the second phase is slightly low( R2= 0. 851),but the standard error is greatly improved( SE = 0. 137). Compared with the research conclusions of other scholars,it can be believed that this method can better solve the problems that the scatter plot of logistic model presents wave-shape and the scatter plot of Kuznets model presents " M"-shape,in order to improve the applicability of mathematical models.展开更多

The increase of the discharging reserve capacity due to the conjugated electrochemical reactions of the oxidation of hydrogen storage alloy is estimated. The results show that the failure mode of Ni/MH batteries developed is as follows: during the increase of cycles, the hydrogen storage alloy is oxidized continuously and the charging reserve capacity is decreased rapidly while the discharging reserve capacity is increased gradually, thus the internal pressure is increasing, first H 2 leaks out from the battery, then the mixture of H 2 and O 2. The leakage of gases and the total reaction of oxidation of the alloy consume H 2O, and the surface oxides on the alloy increase, so that the internal resistance of the battery increases.展开更多
While fossil fuels greatly contribute to human society,they pose great challenges to natural resources,the environment,and climate change.Developed countries,like the United States,formulated strategic measures to ens...While fossil fuels greatly contribute to human society,they pose great challenges to natural resources,the environment,and climate change.Developed countries,like the United States,formulated strategic measures to ensure their sustainable development and leading positions in the world.These measures include new green policies,development of shale gas,revitalization of nuclear power,energy independence,reindustrialization,and new low-carbon development based on a combination of Internet technology and renewable energy.Developing countries are also trying to introduce balanced strategies of poverty alleviation and sustainable development.Globally,industrial civilization is being transformed to ecological civilization and green,low-carbon development is a global trend.Addressing climate change provides new strategic factors to further this development.China should take substantial actions to realize sustainable development in a new road:China is in the critical stage of changing its development mode,so it is vital to choose an appropriate development path.This extensive development comes at the high price of consuming too much resources and scarring the environment.Mitigation and adaptation strategies for addressing climate change can help the transition of development.Based on the analysis of the development data of developed countries,the author introduces the concept of"two-type developed countries"with an understanding that not all developed countries must take the same development mode.He also holds the view that China should achieve modernization in a more energy-saving and more carbon-efficient manner compared with that of two-type developed countries.An analysis of"two competitions"that China is facing shows that changing the developing mode is urgent and China should grasp this opportunity in the next five to ten years,which is a key period for this transition.This paper discusses the low-carbon development goals and the three-step process.Low-carbon development does not necessarily restrict economic development.It,however,can expedite the transition of the development mode and this is a low-carbon and green development path.Transition of the development mode includes implementation of China's green and low-carbon energy strategies,low-carbon society construction,development of agriculture and forestry,garbage sorting and utilization,innovation of urbanization,etc.Improvement of national infrastructure construction includes water safety,environment and climate monitoring system,intelligent energy web,basic database,etc.Addressing climate change can significantly improve the nation's basic research level.In summary,it mitigates backward production capability,extensive development,and environmental damage while promoting technological advancement,scientific development,and ecological civilization.展开更多

But each EMD decomposition theory has its advantages and disadva...Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is a data-driven and multi-scale transform theory, and it is a nonlinear and non-stationary signal processing theory. But each EMD decomposition theory has its advantages and disadvantages. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging is an important remote sensing technique to obtain the change information, and SAR image data belongs to non-stationary signal. So EMD is very suitable for SAR image processing. There are two kinds of typical EMD theories, which are the ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) and bidimensional empirical mode decomposition (BEMD). Based on the deep study of the two methods, this paper proposed a new SAR image change detection algorithm, which is called the FCD-EMD algorithm, i.e. fusion change detection based on EMD. So FCD-EMD algorithm can obtain more accurate information, which not only includes the directional information obtained by EEMD, but also can contain the spatial information got by BEMD. The main contribution of the FCD-EMD algorithm is to fuse the detail information in different directions, so that the results obtained are more accurate than the individual method. On the other hand, it can reduce the influence of speckle noise in SAR images by feature selections. The actual SAR image data verify the algorithm proposed in this paper and good experimental results are obtained, which show that the new method is feasible.展开更多

This link paves the way for seismological investigation...The temporal and spatial distributions of Antarctic sea ice play important roles in both the generation mechanisms and the signal characteristics of microseisms. This link paves the way for seismological investigations of Antarctic sea ice. Here we present an overview of the current state of seismological research about microseisms on Antarctic sea ice. We first briefly review satellite remote-sensing observations of Antarctic sea ice over the past 50 years. We then systematically expound upon the generation mechanisms and source distribution of microseisms in relation to seismic noise investigations of sea ice, and the characteristics of Antarctic microseisms and relationship with sea ice variations are further analyzed. We also analyze the continuous data recorded at seismic station BEAR in West Antarctica from 2011 to 2018 and compare the microseism observations with the corresponding satellite remotesensing observations of Antarctic sea ice. Our results show that:(1) the microseisms from the coastal regions of West Antarctica exhibit clear seasonal variations,SFM with maximum intensities every April-May and minimum intensities around every October-November;while DFM intensities peak every February-March,and reach the minimum around every October. Comparatively,the strong seasonal periodicity of Antarctic sea ice in better agreement with the observed DFM;and(2) microseism decay is not synchronous with sea ice expansion since the microseism intensity is also linked to the source location,source intensity(e. g.,ocean storms,ocean wave field),and other factors. Finally, we discuss the effect of Southern Annular Mode on Antarctic sea ice and microseisms,as well as the current limitations and potential of employing seismological investigations to elucidate Antarctic sea ice variations and climate change.展开更多

[Objective] This study was to provide basis for the scientific management of land use in Haihe River Basin (HRB) through the quantitative exploration of the land use conversion, changes of intensity and spatial dist...[Objective] This study was to provide basis for the scientific management of land use in Haihe River Basin (HRB) through the quantitative exploration of the land use conversion, changes of intensity and spatial distribution in this region. [Method] With the support of remote sensing technology and geographic information technology, the land use maps of the study area in 40 years (1970-2010) were in- terpreted and plotted. Four kinds of tupu, namely, land use change tupu, process tupu, arising tupu and evolution mode tupu were built through the spatial overlay of the land use maps to analyze the change rules of land use patterns. [Result] The conversion of arable land to construction land was the main characteristics of land use changes in HRB for the 40 years; the area of non-stable region accounted for 35% of the total, indicating that the land use changed remarkably, thus, it was nec- essary to strengthen the scientific land management in HRB; the new conversions to all land use patterns were all the lowest in 1980-1990, indicating that land use changed slowly during this period. [Conclusion] The results indicate that, compared with conventional transfer matrix method, geo-information tupu has obvious advantage in analyzing land use changes that it can demonstrate the spatial distribution of interest region, display the multi-dimensional spatial information.展开更多

文摘Teachers and students play important roles in teaching activity,and they are the most essential parts of the system.The relationship between teachers and students,the core schooling interpersonal relationship,directly determines whether the teach ing activities can go smoothly or not,and is an important index to measure the quality of teachers and students'school life,and also is an important factor that affects the social function of education.For a long time,relationship between teachers and students has been a hot topic in education and in different sectors of the society.This dissertation aims at discussing the teacher-student role changing in interactive teaching mode to provide reference for building a harmonious relationship between teachers and stu dents.

文摘[Objective] This study was to provide basis for the scientific management of land use in Haihe River Basin (HRB) through the quantitative exploration of the land use conversion, changes of intensity and spatial distribution in this region. [Method] With the support of remote sensing technology and geographic information technology, the land use maps of the study area in 40 years (1970-2010) were in- terpreted and plotted. Four kinds of tupu, namely, land use change tupu, process tupu, arising tupu and evolution mode tupu were built through the spatial overlay of the land use maps to analyze the change rules of land use patterns. [Result] The conversion of arable land to construction land was the main characteristics of land use changes in HRB for the 40 years; the area of non-stable region accounted for 35% of the total, indicating that the land use changed remarkably, thus, it was nec- essary to strengthen the scientific land management in HRB; the new conversions to all land use patterns were all the lowest in 1980-1990, indicating that land use changed slowly during this period. [Conclusion] The results indicate that, compared with conventional transfer matrix method, geo-information tupu has obvious advantage in analyzing land use changes that it can demonstrate the spatial distribution of interest region, display the multi-dimensional spatial information.
