Material Analysis of Traditional Folk Dwellings and Its Modern Inheritance:A Case Study of Traditional Folk Dwellings in Hunan Province

Traditional folk dwellings contain rich cultural connotations and plain architectural techniques.In architecture,material is the most fundamental thing,different materials can demonstrate different architectural forms,and reflect local characteristics and change of the time.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the material selection of traditional Chinese folk dwellings.The paper took traditional folk dwellings in Hunan for example to analyze the regional materials and construction of these dwellings,discussed the application of traditional materials in modern architecture,used some cases to explore the innovative application of traditional materials,so as to figure out the new direction of applying traditional materials,and provide references for the construction of modern architecture.

Relation and Relationships Between Folk Literature and Classical Literature:Taking Autochthony as a Case Study

According to current discipline classification,folk literature is usually categorized as an individual research field,distinguished from classical literature or classical canon,which leads to the fact that in current research,the study of folk literature is often separated from the study of classical texts,or even opposed to it.This paper intends to review the relations and relationships between the two and argues that,at least,in ancient Greek world of culture,there is a considerable intersection between folk literature and classical literature.In many cases,a myth appeared both in the two literary fields,and thus these two fields were often intertwined and in conversation.Taking Athenian autochthony as a case study,this paper shows that this myth not only appeared as a folk story in daily occasions such as symposium,architecture,and vase painting,but also entered classic texts such as the tragic works of the three great tragedians and even Plato’s philosophical works,becoming one part of“classical literature”.By examining the application of the myth in folk literature and classical literature,it can be seen that in ancient Greece,folk and classical literature not only communicated and borrowed from each other,but also formed a dialogue between the two,thus constructing a lively and living literary world.

On the Folk Song as the Symbol of Ethnic Identity

This paper investigates and explores how the folk song operates in the Bai society from the theoretical perspective of pragmatics.In order to explore the deep relationship between a kind of langue use and the symbol of ethnicity among ethnic group members,this empirical study is carried out in the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan province where the majority of the Bai concentrate.According to this field survey,it is found that the content and performance of the Bai folk song can serve as a form of social behavior as well as a symbol of ethnic identity.

The Importance of Breathing Training in Folk Dance Teaching

The importance of breathing training in dance teaching is reflected in the two aspects of enhancing the quality of dance movements and sublimating the connotation of dance movements.For example,high-quality breathing can help performers complete the dance movements and improve the coordination of the movements;at the same time,the unique body rhythm formed by breathing can strengthen the visual effect of the performance and convey its spirit and soul to the audience.This requires folk dance teachers to carry out relevant training and teaching activities based on the categories and skills of dance breathing,such as changing students’ideological cognition,developing periodic breathing training courses,providing personalized guidance to students,and allowing students to adjust their learning and practice methods in the evaluation.

This study explores the application of the contextual teaching method in Sichuan folk song education and its impact on students’musical expressiveness.By incorporating contextual teaching methods in music classes,this research investigates the effectiveness of this approach in enhancing students’understanding of Sichuan folk songs and improving their musical expressiveness and emotional expression.A mixed-method research approach is employed,utilizing classroom observations,questionnaires,interviews,and statistical analysis to assess the practical outcomes of contextual teaching in folk song education.

后期现代已成为当今人文科学研究的重要话语语境。网络文学及其IP衍生是“现代学”民俗的两个重要领域。随着融合媒介的成熟,按照其所蕴涵的三层逻辑,网络文学及其IP衍生两个领域中的民俗符号在技术层、主体层、空间层分别发生了表达转向。民俗符号化再现媒介从由语言系统规训的网络文学这一需要深读的“记谱媒介”转换为IP衍生中更符合当今图像化追求的“感官性媒介”;民俗话语主体发生变动,网络文学作者群作为民俗符号表达的话语主体在文学范围外让位于商业精英群,民俗文化产业的边界不断拓宽;民俗符号是文化空间中具有民俗性和艺术性的符号,其经由审美从网络文学“准不可能世界”化入实在世界的“日常生活”,使民众达到“超脱庸常”的境界。“现代学”层面的民俗符号在将来会激活更多意想不到的妙处,而民俗学研究也需要“新尺度和新形态”。

民俗体育旅游同质化问题分析与评价体系构建

民俗体育旅游的同质化是制约民俗体育可持续发展和旅游产业多样化的关键因素。通过文献梳理,将民俗体育旅游同质化的表现归纳为产品内容与形式的相似性、受众需求和审美的趋同化、产品符号的简化与雷同,以及文化体验的单一化。进一步分析指出,人文环境资本化、旅游产品符号化、民俗体育旅游意象均质化是导致民俗体育旅游同质化的主要原因。采用德尔菲法构建了包括3个系统层、6个子系统层和18个指标层的评价体系,以科学评估民俗体育旅游发展的同质化水平。旨在为民俗体育旅游产业的政策制定与市场优化提供依据。

“豆腐西施”从一则民间俗语上升为文艺创作中一个重要的、具有符号性功能的人物原型经历了漫长的过程。不同时期的创作者在借助该词携带的文化意涵的基础上通过各自的创作实践,围绕“豆腐西施”的原型叙事形成了诸多文本“变奏”,共同建构了大众文化对于这一典型人物的集体想象。可以说,“豆腐西施”是一个通过在文艺作品中一次次再现不断完成意蕴的丰富和积累最终被“制造”出来的文学原型。

Influence of patio on indoor environment in a Chinese traditional folk house in summer

A case study is performed on the influence of the patio on the indoor environment of a traditional folk house group,named Zhangguying village in Hunan province,in the summer of 2007.Measurements include indoor and outdoor air temperature,indoor and outdoor illuminance,indoor and outdoor air speed,and carried out from August 5th to 10th.The results show that the patio,acting as a ＂buffer zone＂,can reduce the ambient impacts on the indoor thermal environment of rooms because the temperature of the patio is lower than that of the outdoor temperature but higher than that of the rooms.The patio can improve the indoor lighting environment because the illuminance of the patio is lower than that of outdoor and higher than that of the rooms.But the effect is too limited,because the illuminance of the rooms is lower than the national standards.This study shows that the shading design is the primary consideration in this kind of climate.The wind speed of the patio is stable and similar to that of the hall and the stack effect of the patio is not obvious.It shows that the patio is useful for natural ventilation,caused by wind pressure,in summer.

Influence of site selection on natural ventilation in Chinese traditional folk house

The relationship between the site selection of a hilly terrain and the natural ventilation of the Dangdamen building complex,which is a traditional folk house,is revealed by a computational fluid dynamics（CFD）simulation.The wind press and speed distributions around the building in four cases with different weather conditions and topographies are simulated.The simulation results show that a hill can reduce the absolute values of the wind pressure at the windward and leeward sides of the building.The encouraging effect of the patio on the natural ventilation in a terrain with a hill is greater than that without a hill.The same situation occurs when comparing the patio effects between summer and winter.The wind speed around the building can be reduced by the hill as it is an obstacle and the degrees of the influence of the hill in summer and in winter are quite different because of different wind directions.The analysis results show that this kind of site selection,with the hill to the north,is a suitable way to settle the conflict of the natural ventilation requirements in summer and in winter under subtropical climate conditions,especially in houses with patios.

Research fruits in classical Chinese folk houses since 1980s were summarized in this study from various perspectives,such as architectural structure,spatial layout,decoration,aesthetic value,regional features and historical attributes,meanwhile,the future study orientation in this field was also discussed.

Analysis of the Spatial Features of the Traditional Folk Houses in Three Gorges Region

The spatial composition of natural environment and settlement in the Three Gorges region along the Yangtze River was analyzed from a macro perspective,which emphasized its characteristics of the interdependence among its buildings,landform and waterscape,between buildings and landscape,and integration of nature and human culture.Then the spatial features of folk houses were analyzed,while special attention was paid to its "upward","grey",and dynamic characteristics.The courtyard-type residence and stilted building in South China were taken as examples in order to explain their exterior spatial characteristics,and the interior spatial features were analyzed from the pursuit of courtyard layout,the preference of courtyard space and the emphasis of central room space.The paper exposed the builders' rational thinking about natural environment and living place conveyed through the traditional folk houses,as well as the practical value of this architectural style in the special natural environment of the Three Gorges region,and explained the artistic achievements from the integration of architecture and environment,aiming to provide references for the urban and living environment construction in this region during the "Post Three-Gorges Project Era".

Structure and Construction Pattern of Folk Dwellings of the Dai Nationality in Guanchun Village of Dehong Prefecture,Yunnan Province

Evolution pattern of folk dwellings of the Dai Nationality in Guanchun Village,Dehong Prefecture,Yunnan Province is discussed in this study,and Field Study of the anthropology is applied to study family structure and use of residential spaces in this village.The study shows that structure of traditional residence is changing,traditional buildings cannot meet demands of modern life due to the changing lifestyle;it is a trend that traditional building materials like brick and wood are to be substituted by new materials.It implies that useful elements of traditional living styles and construction patterns should be refined in the update of folk dwellings in the village ofminorities,and combined with modern building materials and techniques to satisfy the demands of modern life.
