People with occupa-tions known to be associated with expos... Pyrophyllite (H2Al2,Si4 O22, ) dust (P-dust) is a mixture of silica (10-40% ), differentproportions of a luminium oxide (Al2O3 ), and various metal compounds. People with occupa-tions known to be associated with exposure to P-dust include miners, other industrial workersand persons engaged in artistic carving. Currently, little is known about pyrophyllite pneumo-coniosis from P-dust. This study was designed to investigate the hazardous effects of P-dustand to suggest a maximum allowable concentration (MAC) of the dust.This.study included four parts: (i) Occupational epidemiology surveys in 781 workersfrom 1 pyrophyllite mine (PM) and four pyrophyllite carving mills (PCM), with a registra-tion rate of 98 %. (ii) In vitro studies: Six groups of rats were expeed to different levels ofP-dust; the cytotoxicity of P-dust on rat alveolar macrophages (AM) was investigated by de-termining the potassium'content of AM and the activity levels of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)in AM culture fluid. (iii) Mineralogical analysis of P-dust: The contents of silica (SiO2 ), alu-minium (Al), ferrum (Fe), niikel (Ni), zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) in hath PM-dust andPCMdust were determined. (iv ) Determination of P-dust MAC: Using the life-talbemethod, an investigation of the hygiene standard of P-dust was carried out in 625 workers ex-POSed to either PM-dust or PCM-dust, uPon whom routine radiographs were Performed.The results suggest that the risk of developing pneumoconiosis from pyrophyllite dust issignificantly higher for PM workers than for PCM workers. The prevalence rate of PCM-dustpneumoconiosis is significantly higher in men than in women. The content of SiO2 and AlO3in the mixture of P-dust is the most important factor in the etiology of pyrophyllitosis. De-pending on the different P-dust MAC values, we suggest that 2 rng/m3 and 4 mg/m' shouldbe considered as the MAC for PM-dust and PCM-dust, respectively, and 3 mg/m' fOr P-dust. We believe that establishing different hygiene standards is more accurate even thoughworkers are exposured to the 'same' dust 展开更多

The maximum tolerance dose of Shenqi Wuweizi tablet in mice was studied, and its acute toxicity in mice was ex- plored. The results showed that Shenqi Wuweizi tablet did not cause the death of mice at the maximum dosage and mice did not show toxic reaction, so it could be used in livestock production and clinical veterinary treatment. The study provided a theoretical basis for application of Shenqi Wuweizi tablet in livestock production and clinical veterinary medication safety. 展开更多

Expressions are then derived in closed form for the density, hazard and quantile func-tions of the minimum or maximum. Schemes are proved to be unconditionally stable and second-order accuracy in spatial grid size for the problem with order of fractional derivative belonging to [(√17- 1)/2, 2] using the maximum modulus principle. It has broad application prospects in new energy electric vehicles, wind power generation and other fields. This paper introduces the basic structure of hybrid excitation motor with modular stator, and analyzes the operation principle of hybrid excitation motor. The cooling structure of the water-cooled plate is designed, and the effects of the thickness of the water-cooled plate and the number of water channels in the water-cooled plate on the heat dissipation capacity of the water-cooled plate are analyzed by theoretical and computational fluid dynamics methods. The effects of different water cooling plate structures on water velocity, pressure drop, water pump power consumption and heat dissipation capacity were compared and analyzed. The influence of different inlet flow velocity on the maximum temperature rise of each part of the motor is analyzed, and the temperature of each part of the motor under the optimal water flow is analyzed. The influence of the traditional spiral water jacket cooling structure and the water-cooled plate cooling structure on the maximum temperature rise of the motor components is compared and analyzed. The results show that the water-cooled plate cooling structure is more suitable for the modular stator motor studied in this paper. Based on the water-cooled plate cooling structure, the air-water composite cooling structure is designed, and the effects of the air-water composite cooling structure and the water-cooled plate cooling structure on the maximum temperature rise of each component of the motor are compared and analyzed. The results show that the maximum temperature rise of each component of the motor is reduced under the air-water composite cooling structure. 展开更多

Using the Maxwell's equations, we carry out theoretical analysis on the maximum incident and refractive angles at which negative refraction can be realized at the interfaces associated with conventional uniaxial media. In the numerical analysis, the largest incident and refractive angles at which refraction arises are obtained by optimizing directions of the optical axis of the uniaxial bicrystal. Meanwhile, the optical parameters of the ordinary uniaxial bicrystals (including homogeneity- junction and heterogeneity-junction) are given, and some representative laser wavelengths, the largest incident and refractive angles are obtained. Direct current(DC) and radio frequency(RF) performances of InP-based high electron mobility transistors(HEMTs)are investigated by Sentaurus TCAD. The physical models including hydrodynamic transport model, Shockley–Read–Hall recombination, Auger recombination, radiative recombination, density gradient model and high field-dependent mobility are used to characterize the devices. The simulated results and measured results about DC and RF performances are compared, showing that they are well matched. However, the slight differences in channel current and pinch-off voltage may be accounted for by the surface defects resulting from oxidized InAlAs material in the gate-recess region. Moreover,the simulated frequency characteristics can be extrapolated beyond the test equipment limitation of 40 GHz, which gives a more accurate maximum oscillation frequency( f;) of 385 GHz. 展开更多

At 13:46 on March 11, 2011(Beijing time), an earthquake of Mw=9.0 occurred in Japan. By comparing the tsunami data from Guanhekou marine station with other tsunami wave observation gathered from southeast coastal area of China, it was evident that, only in Guanhekou, the position of the maximum wave height appeared in the middle part rather than in the front of the tsunami wave train. A numerical model of tsunami propagation based on 2-D nonlinear shallow water equations was built to study the impact range and main causes of the special tsunami waveform discovered in Jiangsu coastal area. The results showed that nearly three-quarters of the Jiangsu coastal area, mainly comprised the part north of the radial sand ridges, reached its maximum tsunami wave height in the middle part of the wave train. The main cause of the special waveform was the special underwater topography condition of the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea area, which influenced the tsunami propagation and waveform significantly. Although land boundary reflection brought an effect on the position of the maximum wave height to a certain extent, as the limits of the incident waveform and distances between the observation points and shore, it was not the dominant influence factor of the special waveform. Coriolis force's impact on the tsunami waves was so weak that it was not the main cause for the special phenomenon in Jiangsu coastal area. The study reminds us that the most destructive wave might not appear in the first one in tsunami wave train. 展开更多

We study compact finite difference methods for the Schrodinger-Poisson equation in a bounded domain and establish their optimal error estimates under proper regularity assumptions on wave functionψand external potential V(x).The CrankNicolson compact finite difference method and the semi-implicit compact finite difference method are both of order O(h^(4)+τ^(2))in discrete l^(2),H^(1) and l^(∞) norms with mesh size h and time step τ.For the errors of compact finite difference approximation to the second derivative and Poisson potential are nonlocal,thus besides the standard energy method and mathematical induction method,the key technique in analysis is to estimate the nonlocal approximation errors in discrete l^(∞) and H^(1) norm by discrete maximum principle of elliptic equation and properties of some related matrix.Also some useful inequalities are established in this paper.Finally,extensive numerical results are reported to support our error estimates of the numerical methods. 展开更多

The moment analysis is then applied to obtain the first four moments of the responses and to observe the effects of each random variable on electromagnetic field responses. The maximum entropy theory is employed to calculate the probability density functions(PDFs) of the responses. A quasi-static electromagnetic problem and a practical electromagnetic forming problem(EMF) are performed. The proposed method successfully solves stochastic electromagnetic forming analysis under the uncertain parameters. Numerical results obtained by the proposed MSES-FEM are quite satisfactory with the ones by the Monte Carlo simulation(MCS). 展开更多
