On the Translation of New Words in Current Affairs

As China continues to open up to the outside world,new words in every aspect of our daily life are emerging at a rapid speed.However,the quality of translation at present is not very satisfactory.This paper analyzes the features of these words,the errors in their translation and discusses the translation strategies based on the Functional Theory of Germany.

The Application of Translation Strategies in the Chinese—Specific New Words to English

With China's all-round social development,especially entering the 21century,the social economy,science and technology and also the language changes are in a fast speed.Particularly,the growth of the Chinese-specific new words is much faster than any other periods.Along with the intercultural communication,the English translation of Chinese-specific new words has become a new research focus.Firstly,the paper is to introduce the growth background of the new lexical words,and then gives a definition and classifies them into the specific fields,after that the paper will discuss the two translation strategies-domestication and foreignization in translating the Chinese-specific new words to English.Comparing the strengthens and shortcomings of the two strategies,the paper draws a conclusion—regard the two translation strategies in a dialectical way.

A Survey and Analysis on the New Generation of Migrant Workers＇ Awareness of Internet New Words in Foshan City

50 new generation of migrant workers were randomly chosen from Yanbu Town which is in Nanhai district,Foshan city, Gua ngdong Province.They were asked to complete the questionnaires about the awareness of interact new words.The statistics show that the average awareness of new generation of migrant workers on interact new words is low as a whole. The reasons may lie in workers＇ overtime working ,relatively closed working environment, low social status,low income and education level and so on.

Solving Multi-Objective Linear Programming Problem by Statistical Averaging Method with the Help of Fuzzy Programming Method

A multi-objective linear programming problem is made from fuzzy linear programming problem. It is due the fact that it is used fuzzy programming method during the solution. The Multi objective linear programming problem can be converted into the single objective function by various methods as Chandra Sen’s method, weighted sum method, ranking function method, statistical averaging method. In this paper, Chandra Sen’s method and statistical averaging method both are used here for making single objective function from multi-objective function. Two multi-objective programming problems are solved to verify the result. One is numerical example and the other is real life example. Then the problems are solved by ordinary simplex method and fuzzy programming method. It can be seen that fuzzy programming method gives better optimal values than the ordinary simplex method.

Characteristics of Multi-Objective Linear Programming Problem and Multi-Objective Linear Fractional Programming Problem Taking Maximum Value of Multi-Objective Functions

In this paper, a new statistical averaging technique is proposed for finding an optimal solution to a multi-objective linear fractional programming problem (MOLFPP) and multi-objective linear programming problem (MOLPP) by using new arithmetic averaging method and new geometric averaging method. It is significantly noticeable same characteristics among all the technique while taking maximum or minimum among all optimized values for multi-objective functions using simplex algorithm. The characteristics provided from the problems are verified by the numerical examples.

"Gelivable" "Yumi"——A Discussion of Emerging New Words in Chinese Language

Along with the unceasingly booming of new terms in Chinese language, some people complain that it is becoming more and more difficult to understand some terms like "囧", "给力","织围脖". Recently, there is a national notice about the forbidding of using"神马","PK"and "浮云" in the composition of Chinese Subject while attending the University Entrance Examination. Some linguists are wondering shall the orthodox language absorb all of them. Should the local legislation do anything about the protection of language and characters? How long will these emerging new words lively between people's lips? This article discusses the above questions by focusing on the historical development of the term "玉米", presenting the different attitudes of common people, linguists and the government, and analyzing some common social understanding of these terms.

Wavelet Analysis of Average

The identification method in the CurveExpert-1.40 software environment revealed asymmetric wavelets of changes in the average monthly temperature of New Delhi from 1931 to 2021.The maximum increment for 80 years of the average monthly temperature of 5.1℃was in March 2010.An analysis of the wave patterns of the dynamics of the average monthly temperature up to 2110 was carried out.For forecasting,formulas were adopted containing four components,among which the second component is the critical heat wave of India.The first component is the Mandelbrot law(in physics).It shows the natural trend of decreasing temperature.The second component increases according to the critical law.The third component with a correlation coefficient of 0.9522 has an annual fluctuation cycle.The fourth component with a semi-annual cycle shows the influence of vegetation cover.The warming level of 2010 will repeat again in 2035-2040.From 2040 the temperature will rise steadily.June is the hottest month.At the same time,the maximum temperature of 35.1℃in 2010 in June will again reach by 2076.But according to the second component of the heat wave,the temperature will rise from 0.54℃to 16.29°C.The annual and semi-annual cycles had an insignificant effect on the June temperature dynamics.Thus,the identification method on the example of meteorological observations in New Delhi made it possible to obtain summary models containing a different number of components.The temperature at a height of 2 m is insufficient.On the surface,according to space measurements,the temperature reaches 55°C.As a result,in order to identify more accurate asymmetric wavelets for forecasting,the results of satellite measurements of the surface temperature of India at various geographical locations of meteorological stations are additionally required.

Chinese New-coined Words Management in P.R.C

The paper relies on the language management model. First of all, the thousands of new words coined each year in China can be roughly divided into eight groups. Besides, it exemplifies the problems that have occurred in communication. Last but not least, to reflect language management acts/processes, it reports the efforts the language authorities and governmental bodies have made in the struggle to solve the problems. It attempts to remind the language management agencies of the point that for the use of new words, the language users are always right as long as communication flows without problems in understanding.

Land use suitability analysis for town development planning in Nanjing hilly areas: A case study of Tangshan new town, China

Land use suitability analysis plays an important role in sustainable land use and solving environmental problems caused by rapid urban development.A land use suitability mapping approach for town development planning in hilly areas was constructed based on two multi-criteria evaluation methods:Weighted Linear Combination(WLC)and Ordered Weighted Averaging(OWA),to comparatively evaluate and map land use suitability of Tangshan new town in Nanjing,China.Fourteen evaluation factors related to topographic,environmental,socio-economics and historical sites data were used as suitability criteria.The analytic hierarchy process(AHP)method and GIS techniques were integrated into the evaluation models to create the land use suitability map for town development planning.The results of WLC approach showed that 11.4%of the total area is highly suitable while the 48.6%is unsuitable.The results of WLC and OWA approach showed the distribution of degree of land use suitability is almost the same.The areas located at the southern and eastern flat regions are highly suitable for land use,whereas the areas close to the mountain forests,steep slopes,waters,and hot springs,have lower suitability for land use.Sensitivity analysis indicated that the suitability results of the two proposed methods are robust.Indirect validation was achieved by mutual comparison of suitability maps derived from the WLC and OWA methods.It demonstrated that the overall agreement is 90.81%and kappa coefficient is 0.81,indicating that both methods provide very similar spatial suitability distributions.By overlaying the resultant map with the previous master plan map of Tangshan new town,the overlay map once again indicated a satisfactory ecological fit between the two maps.At last,several recommendations are proposed aiming at improving the long-term town development plan for Tangshan new town.

EVOLUTION OF URBAN SYSTEM IN NEW ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES AND PLANNING COUNTERMEASURES

Urban system is the spatial reflection of the inner-deep social economic movement. New economic circumstances not only make the evolution of urban system present one brand-new landscape, but also put forward a new subject for planning of urban system. This article analyzes the properties of the traditional economic process and its essential effect on urban system; it makes a complete survey on the properties of new economic circumstances and its effect on re-forming of urban system; the complicated influential process and result are concluded into the aspects, such as new growth motive force, new economic organization, new location factor and new spatial phenomenon, and its inner effect mechanism is shown as well. In this article, the change process of urban system space is explained in four aspects: (1) dissimulation in the process of spatial agglomeration and diffusion; (2) change of “center-periphery ”effect; (3) acceleration growth of axial regions; (4) re-forming of the world and regional urban system. Based on the above theoretical analysis and the properties ＆requests of new economic circumstances, this article finally puts forward four philosophies emphasized by urban system planning, and forms the new frame for drawing-up of urban system planning.

Gluon Propagator in a New Perturbative Expansion of Quantum Chromodynamics with a Non-Perturbative Background

Using a new perturbative expansion method in Quantum Chromodynamics with a non-perturbative gluon background, the gluon propagator is calculated up to the one-loop level, and renormalized in the modified minimal subtraction scheme. The resultant renormalization constants of the quantum gluon field and the gauge parameter receive a non-perturbative contribution coming from the gluon condensate <FF> besides the usual perturbative one, respectively.

Discount Rate of China’s New Energy Power Industry

Under the dual pressures of energy crisis and environmental pollution,China’s new energy power industry has become a focal point for environmental management and requires greater investment.In this context,as a significant input of investment projects,discount rate requires a well-calibrated evaluation because new energy power investment projects are highly capital intensive.The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the discount rate of China’s new energy power industry.First,we use Moving Average to correct the parameters of capital asset pricing model(CAPM)and weighted average cost of capital,which extends the literature on the avoidance of CAPM noise information problem.Second,we study the industry-level annual discount rates of mainly China’s new energy power industries,including hydropower,nuclear power,wind power,and photovoltaic power industries for the period of 2014-2019.The results show that discount rates in China’s new energy power industries evolved differently between the years of 2014-2019 with average annual discount rates being 7.56%,5.83%,5.60%,and 8.64%,for the hydropower,nuclear power,wind power,and photovoltaic power industries,respectively.In 2019,the four annual discount rates were highest for the photovoltaic power industry(8.66%),followed by hydropower(7.17%),wind power(5.72%),and nuclear power industry(5.26%).Forecasting to 2020 from the 2019 evaluation base period,the discount rates are 6.37%,5.00%,6.57%,and 9.05%for the photovoltaic power,hydropower,wind power,and nuclear power industries,respectively.Under the different capital structures,their forecasts for the photovoltaic power,hydropower,wind power,and nuclear power industries in 2020 are,respectively,within[4.35%,9.24%],[3.92%,7.10%],[4.58%,10.40%],[5.46%,14.81%].We also discussed more details on capital structure and forecast period of discount rates for China’s new energy power industries.Our analysis shows that it is necessary to establish a new energy power industry database and steadily promote the implementation of policies.

Research on Study Strategies for the English Cyber Words

As we know, vocabulary plays an important role for English learners. With the coming of the age of Internet in 21 st century, Internet becomes the propeller to the development of society and economy, which, in turn, urshes us into a brand-new period. Meanwhile, the development of Internet also affects English vocabulary. First of all, this paper summarizes the development stages of English cyber word, followed by an introduction of the definition of the English cyber word, and then it elaborates the properties of English cyber word. Later, the paper attempts to account for the strategies of English cyber word from six approaches, which are the compounding approach, the derivation approach, using special mark approach, special mnemonics approach, transliteration approach and free translation approach. To sum up, by analyzing the traits of these words, our interest of learning English will be roused which can help us have a good knowledge of the English cyber words.
