In this paper, an efficient methodology for synthesizing the indirect work exchange networks(WEN) considering isothermal process and adiabatic process respectively based on transshipment model is first proposed. In contrast with superstructure method, the transshipment model is easier to obtain the minimum utility consumption taken as the objective function and more convenient for us to attain the optimal network configuration for further minimizing the number of units. Different from division of temperature intervals in heat exchange networks,different pressure intervals are gained according to the maximum compression/expansion ratio in consideration of operating principles of indirect work exchangers and the characteristics of no pressure constraints for stream matches. The presented approach for WEN synthesis is a linear programming model applied to the isothermal process, but for indirect work exchange networks with adiabatic process, a nonlinear programming model needs establishing. Additionally, temperatures should be regarded as decision variables limited to the range between inlet and outlet temperatures in each sub-network. The constructed transshipment model can be solved first to get the minimum utility consumption and further to determine the minimum number of units by merging the adjacent pressure intervals on the basis of the proposed merging methods, which is proved to be effective through exergy analysis at the level of units structures. Finally, two cases are calculated to confirm it is dramatically feasible and effective that the optimal WEN configuration can be gained by the proposed method. 展开更多

The Impact of Nursing Staff’s Work Attitude on the Fear of Patients Recovering from Benign Tumors:Family Support as a Mediating Variable

The perception of nursing staff’s attitude influences patient fear.Understanding this dynamic is crucial for fostering a supportive environment conducive to patient well-being and effective healthcare practices.The purpose of this research is to investigate how the attitudes and behaviours of nursing staff influence the fear and anxiety levels of patients recovering from benign tumors,aiming to improve patient care and recovery outcomes.Data was collected from a sample of 100 participants,comprising 20 nursing staff and 80 patients recovering from benign tumors.Surveys were administered to gather quantitative data on attitudes and fear levels.Participants were selected randomly from hospital records and outpatient clinics.Our analysis encompassed nursing staff attitude,patient fear levels,the influence of family support,progression of tumor recovery,patient-reported satisfaction,and the quality of healthcare services provided.The quantitative aspect utilized PLS-SEM software to perform regression analysis,evaluating both direct and indirect effects.Statistical analysis assessed the relationships between nursing staff attitudes,patient fear during benign tumor recovery,and the mediating role of family support.The findings of the study demonstrate that better nurse attitudes(Hypothesis 1,β=0.45,p<0.001)and stronger family support(Hypothesis 2,β=0.32;p<0.001) are linked to lower levels of patient fear.Partially mediating the relationship between nurse attitudes and patient fear,according to Hypothesis 3(β=0.28,p<0.002),is family support.Patients’perceptions of family support are highly influenced by nursing behaviour,as demonstrated by Hypothesis 4(β=0.38;p<0.001).Our research showed a strong relationship between the attitudes of nursing personnel and patient fear levels.Family support demonstrated a strong mediating effect on patient fear.Patient-reported satisfaction is positively correlated with family support.However,no significant relationship was found between healthcare service quality and patient fear. 展开更多

To assist an amputee in regaining his or her daily quality of life,based on analysis of the motion characteristics of the human hip,a 2-UPR/URR parallel mechanism with a passive limb was designed.The inverse kinematics of this mechanism was analyzed based on a closed-loop vector method.The constrained Jacobian matrix and kinematic Jacobian matrix of each limb were then analyzed,and a 6×6 fully Jacobian matrix was constructed.Based on this,kinematic performances were analyzed and summarized.Finally,the dynamic model of the mechanism was constructed based on the virtual work principle,and its theoretical solution was compared with the numerical results,which were obtained in a simulation environment.Results showed that the prosthetic mechanism had a larger rotating workspace and better mechanical performance,which accorded a range of motion and bearing capacity similar to that of the human hip in multiple gait modes.Moreover,the validity of the dynamic model and inverse kinematics were verified by comparing the theoretical and simulation results.Furthermore,with flexion and extension,the torque change in the hip prosthetic mechanism was similar to that of the human hip,which demonstrated the feasibility of the hip prosthetic mechanism and its good dynamic performance. 展开更多

In the last few decades, academic and industrial settings employ this type of analysis to set a suitable standard for a system's safety feasibility, and as a result reduce human-based errors. The thermal-structural coupled element and contact element were introduced. In the simulation of work roll temperature field, the convert boundary condition and the transient thermal contact between the roll and strip were studied. Besides, the dynamic variation of the work roll temperature and the transient temperature distribution of the work roll during hot rolling were investigated. Background: Based on the experience of hospital nurses, the aim of this study is to explore the phenomenon of how work-engaged nurses stay healthy in relationally demanding jobs involving very sick and/or dying patients. Method: In-depth interviews were conducted with ten work-engaged nurses employed at the main hospital in one region in Norway. The interviews were interpreted using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis method (IPA). Results: The results indicate the importance of using the personal resources: authenticity and a sense of humour for staying healthy. The nurses’ authenticity, in the sense of having a strong sense of ownership towards their personal life experiences, and a sense of having a meaningful life in line with their own values and interests, was an important element when they considered their own health to be good in spite of repetitive strain injuries and perceived stress. These personal resources seem to be positively related to their well-being and work engagement, which serves as an argument for including them among other personal resources, often conceptualized in terms of Psychological Capital (PsyCap). The results also showed that the nurses worked actively and intentionally with conditions that could contribute to safeguarding their own health. Conclusion: The results indicated the importance of stimulating the nurses’ area of knowledge about caring for themselves in order to enable them to maintain good physical and mental health. A focus on self-care should be part of the agenda as early as during nursing education. 展开更多

Recently, there is greater recognition and increased attempts to protect the rights of irregular workers within Korea and Japan, especially in Korea. This is because of more and more public awareness of the polarization in material conditions between regular workers and irregular workers. So, this study focuses on the main factors explaining awareness of irregular worker issues of each of the classes, and relationship between class consciousness in both countries. The result shows that among factors affecting awareness of irregular work issues, negative effect of subjective employment stability was significant in both countries. In regard of anti-flexibility, while strong class effect was observed in Korea, negative effect of anti-neoliberalism was observed in Japan. This is seemingly contradictory that who opposes neoliberal economic policies agrees with labor market flexibilisation. This phenomenon could be explained by labor market characteristics in Korea and Japan. Japanese labor market is characterized by low flexibility and strong segmentation, while Korean labor market is characterized by high flexibility and strong segmentation. Interaction of these two characteristics increases the labor market inequality in Korea. 展开更多

Due to the deterioration of serious energy dilemma,energy-conservation and emission–reduction have been the strategic target in the past decades,thus people have identified the vital importance of higher energy efficiency and the influence of lower carbon development.Since work exchange network is a significant part of energy recovery system,its optima design will have dramatically significant effect on energy consumption reduction in chemical process system.With an extension of the developed transshipment model in isothermal process,a novel step-wise methodology for synthesis of direct work exchange network(WEN)in adiabatic process involving heat integration is first proposed in this paper,where a nonlinear programming(NLP)model is formulated by regarding the minimum utility consumption as objective function and optimizing the initial WEN in accordance with the presented matching rules to get the optimized WEN configuration at first.Furthermore,we focus on the work exchange network synthesis with heat integration to attain the minimal total annual cost(TAC)with the introduction of heat-exchange equipment that is achieved by the following strategies in sequence:introducing heat-exchange equipment directly,adjusting the work quantity of the adjacent utility compressors or expanders,and approximating upper/lower pressure limits consequently to obtain considerable cost savings of expanders or compressors and work utility.Finally,a case taken from the literature is studied to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

An appropriate coupled cohesive law for predicting the mixed mode failure is established by combining normal separation and tangential separation of surfaces in the cohesive zone model (CZM) and the cohesive element method. The Xu-Needleman exponential cohesive law with the fully shear failure mechanism is one of the most popular models. Based on the proposed consistently coupled rule/principle, the Xu-Needleman law with the fully shear failure mechanism is proved to be a non-consistently coupled cohesive law by analyzing the surface separation work. It is shown that the Xu-Needleman law is only valid in the mixed mode fracture when the normal separation work equals the tangential separation work. Based on the consistently coupled principle and the modification of the Xu-Needleman law, a consistently coupled cohesive (CCC) law is given. It is shown that the proposed CCC law has already overcome the non-consistency defect of the Xu-Needleman law with great promise in mixed mode analyses. 展开更多

Due to the influence of multiple factors such as internal and external formation and mechanical pressure, medium corrosion and construction operation environment, a tubing collapse failure occurred in an oil well. In order to determine the failure cause of the tubing, physical and chemical tests and mechanical properties analysis were carried out on the failed tubing sample and the intact tubing. The results show that the chemical composition, ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspection, metallographic test, Charpy impact energy and external pressure mechanical property test of the failed tubing all meet the requirements of API Spec 5CT-2021 standard, but the yield strength of the failed tubing does not meet the requirements of API Spec 5CT-2021 standard. Through the analysis of the working conditions, it can be seen that the anti-extrusion strength of the tubing collapse does not meet the API 5C3 anti-extrusion strength standard. The failure type of the well tubing is tubing collapse caused by large internal and external pressure difference. 展开更多

Three-dimensional m-p-τ surface plots developed from detailed fiber element models of a W8x31 are used to develop a generalized material model for direct implementation in the virtual work method. A portal steel frame is used to illustrate the virtual work method with the nonlinear material model in a first-order, inelastic analysis implementation and in a second-order, inelastic analysis condition. The nonlinear modeling capabilities of MASTAN2 are used to verify the accuracy of the virtual work results and are found to be in very close agreement. 展开更多

Paperless reading has become a prevalent trend among global readers,leading to the accumulation of vast amounts of reading data on numerous book websites.This offers new perspectives for studying translated works.This paper utilizes Python-based data processing technology to collect and analyze reader reviews of Romance of the Three Kingdoms on Amazon and Goodreads,presenting trends in review volume,word cloud maps,and readers’emotional attitudes in a quantitative manner.The findings indicate that overseas readers generally exhibit a positive emotional tendency towards Romance of the Three Kingdoms and recognize its cultural value.However,negative opinions do exist,focusing on aspects of the book’s quality,such as printing quality and proofreading.These results provide valuable insights for the foreign translation of canonical texts. 展开更多
