Cobalt nanoparticles(NPs)catalysts are extensively used in heterogeneous catalytic reactions,and the addition of alkali metal promoters is a common method to modulate the catalytic performance because the catalyst'...Cobalt nanoparticles(NPs)catalysts are extensively used in heterogeneous catalytic reactions,and the addition of alkali metal promoters is a common method to modulate the catalytic performance because the catalyst's surface structures and morphologies are sensitive to the addition of promoters.However,the underlying modulation trend remains unclear.Herein,the adsorption of alkali metal promoters(Na and K)on the surfaces of face-centered-cubic(FCC)and hexagonal-closest packed(HCP)polymorphous cobalt was systematically investigated using density functional theory.Furthermore,the effect of alkali promoters on surface energies and nanoparticle morphologies was revealed on the basis of Wulff theory.For FCC-Co,the exposed area of the(111)facet in the nanoparticle increases with the adsorption coverage of alkali metal oxide.Meanwhile,the(311),(110),and(100)facets would disappear under the higher adsorption coverage of alkali metals.For HCPCo,the Wulff morphology is dominated by the(0001)and(1011)facets and is independent of the alkali metal adsorption coverage.This work provides insights into morphology modulation by alkali metal promoters for the rational design and synthesis of cobalt-based nanomaterials with desired facets and morphologies.展开更多

With their similar but distinct characteristics, VR and MR offer a variety of functionality to the architecture and construction industry that often confuses practitioners on what to choose to best fit their needs. To clarify this confusion, this paper investigates the available technologies of VR and MR in terms of both hardware and software and compares the functionality between the two for architecture and construction uses. While VR hardware has been developed into three categories based on their connection types and tracking methods, MR hardware has mainly focused on standalone devices. Eight VR software and nine MR software have been identified, investigated, and compared. 文摘This thesis intends to use the symbolic structure of cigar to analyze the extract Blackmail from Arthur Hailey's short novel Hotel.The function of cigar in Blackmail can be concluded as a) constructive clue of the plot progression,b) genteel carrier in making up characters.Rotating around the constructive clue,cigar,the writer of this thesis breaks down the whole story into seven parts,i.e.mystical entrance,prelude,crossfire,preparatory victory,absolute superiority,negotiation (absence of cigar) and discard.As to cigar's function of making up character,this thesis examines it from four main social and historical aspects,i.e.the origin of cigar in history,the social token of cigar,the complicated approaches of using cigar,and the historical stereotypes related to cigar smoking.
文摘By clarifying the concept and function of eco-trail,the planning principles of eco-trail in China were proposed(ecological conservation,overall accessibility,recreational sightseeing,historical and cultural implication),then the construction indexes of eco-trail were put forward,specifically,① Trail width,2-12 m,depends on actual conditions of different sections;② Width of green belt,also varies in different sections and types,such as the green belt for traffic eco-trail is around 2-5 m,for eco-trail protecting rivers 10-15 m,for natural ridge-type eco-trail should be more than 12 m,and the width of green belt for tourism cultural eco-trail is diversified according to the section it passes;③ Infrastructures of eco-trail,including barrier-free design(mainly blind pass design),water supply and drainage system(generally pipes or channels,always designed by combining with other road types in the downtown,including the layout of side-drainage,gutter inlet and linking pipe),lighting facilities(including road lighting and landscape lighting),sign system(including indicating signs and security signs).Through constructing eco-trails in cities,the harmonious unification of human beings,city and natural environment is to be achieved.
文摘Based on sine and cosine functions, the compactly supported orthogonal wavelet filter coefficients with arbitrary length are constructed for the first time. When N = 2(k-1) and N = 2k, the unified analytic constructions of orthogonal wavelet filters are put forward, respectively. The famous Daubechies filter and some other well-known wavelet filters are tested by the proposed novel method which is very useful for wavelet theory research and many application areas such as pattern recognition.
文摘Zoning system is the basic mode of establishment of overall land use planning. In this study,the zoning mode and practice in the three rounds of overall land use planning that have been carried out in China were analyzed and summarized firstly,and then some obvious problems existing in the implementation of the zoning mode were analyzed. Finally,countermeasures and suggestions were put forward to provide necessary reference for further development and improvement of the zoning mode and the development of overall land use planning at all levels in China.

文摘By use of an auxiliary equation and through a function transformation, the Jacobi elliptic function wave-like solutions, the degenerated soliton-like solutions and the triangle function wave solutions to two kinds of Korteweg de Vries (KdV) equations with variable coefficients and a KdV equation with a forcible term are constructed with the help of symbolic computation system Mathematica, where the new solutions are also constructed.

文摘The Han Dynasty was the foundation period of Chinese feudal society and an important period for the growth and development of imperial gardens.Therefore,the Han Dynasty has always been a hot topic in the study of Chinese classical garden history.This study analyzed the background and mainstream thoughts of the Han Dynasty,compared creative ideas,construction techniques,and garden construction achievements of imperial gardens in the Han Dynasty,and elaborated on the similarities and differences between creative ideas,gardening techniques,and social functions of imperial gardens in the Han Dynasty.It is hoped that through this study,the status of the gardening art of the Han Dynasty in the history of Chinese classical gardens can be evaluated more scientifically and objectively,and some reliable theoretical basis for modern garden design is provided.

文摘Cobalt nanoparticles(NPs)catalysts are extensively used in heterogeneous catalytic reactions,and the addition of alkali metal promoters is a common method to modulate the catalytic performance because the catalyst's surface structures and morphologies are sensitive to the addition of promoters.However,the underlying modulation trend remains unclear.Herein,the adsorption of alkali metal promoters(Na and K)on the surfaces of face-centered-cubic(FCC)and hexagonal-closest packed(HCP)polymorphous cobalt was systematically investigated using density functional theory.Furthermore,the effect of alkali promoters on surface energies and nanoparticle morphologies was revealed on the basis of Wulff theory.For FCC-Co,the exposed area of the(111)facet in the nanoparticle increases with the adsorption coverage of alkali metal oxide.Meanwhile,the(311),(110),and(100)facets would disappear under the higher adsorption coverage of alkali metals.For HCPCo,the Wulff morphology is dominated by the(0001)and(1011)facets and is independent of the alkali metal adsorption coverage.This work provides insights into morphology modulation by alkali metal promoters for the rational design and synthesis of cobalt-based nanomaterials with desired facets and morphologies.

文摘This paper presents an interpolation-based method(IBM)for approximating some trigonometric functions or their integrals as well.It provides two-sided bounds for each function,which also achieves much better approximation effects than those of prevailing methods.In principle,the IBM can be applied for bounding more bounded smooth functions and their integrals as well,and its applications include approximating the integral of sin(x)/x function and improving the famous square root inequalities.
文摘Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) offer unique opportunities for the architecture and construction industry through different approaches with building information modeling (BIM). While VR offers architecture and construction practitioners the ability to personally experience the built environment in an immersive, MR with its unique ability of overlaying digital information in the real world allows practitioners to perform on-site visualization for construction planning and as-built verification. With their similar but distinct characteristics, VR and MR offer a variety of functionality to the architecture and construction industry that often confuses practitioners on what to choose to best fit their needs. To clarify this confusion, this paper investigates the available technologies of VR and MR in terms of both hardware and software and compares the functionality between the two for architecture and construction uses. While VR hardware has been developed into three categories based on their connection types and tracking methods, MR hardware has mainly focused on standalone devices. Eight VR software and nine MR software have been identified, investigated, and compared. This paper provides the latest information for architecture and construction practitioners on how VR and MR hardware and software work similarly and differently.

文摘The strict avalanche criterion(SAC)is one of the most important cryptographic criteria for substitution boxes(S-boxes)used in many symmetric encryption systems.However,there are few constructive methods for S-boxes fulfilling the SAC until now.In this paper,to construct S-boxes satisfying the SAC directly,we generalize the concatenation techniques of Boolean functions to S-boxes.Using the idea of concatenating small variable S-boxes,we present a simple yet effective construction method of S-boxes satisfying the SAC.Finally,a simple example on how to construct SAC S-boxes with large input variables by small variables SAC S-boxes is given.
