Construction of the Style of Study in Colleges and Universities in the New Period

The Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has defined the mission of educating people for our educators.The style of study reflects the education philosophy,culture and spirit of a university from the inside to the outside. Starting from the present situation and existing problems of the construction of the style of study in colleges and universities in the new period,this paper puts forward some recommendations for the construction of the style of study in colleges and universities in the new period.

Curriculum Ideological and Political Teaching and Practice of Study Tour Course Design in Higher Vocational Colleges: A Case Study of Qingdao Preschool Education College

Curriculum ideology and politics are critical for colleges and universities to fulfill theirfundamental mission of fostering moral and intellectual development. Style and Feature Construction of Handan Chuancheng Street from the Perspective of Style and Features

Rapid urbanization and ignorance of the characteristics of the city have led to all cities in the same pattern in China,homogeneity of the urban material space,and lack of humanistic spirits.With the development and transformation,China has paid increasing attention to the characteristics of cities,and the historic and cultural block is the most representative carrier of the traditional style of a city.Taking the historic and cultural block of Chuancheng Street in Handan City as an example,this paper combined Handan's urban style and features,started from the status quo of the block,analyzed the design positioning,explored the style and feature elements,and finally proposed the style and feature construction strategy of Chuancheng Street,explored from the perspective of style and feature creation the strategies of building the traditional style for historic and cultural blocks.

A Comparative Study of the Poem Translation Styles of the German Translation of A Dream of Red Mansions From the Perspective of Corpus-Translatology

Poetry is an integral part of the artistic framework of A Dream of Red Mansions,and plays a crucial role in shaping the atmosphere,portraying characters,and reflecting social reality,therefore it has both unique artistic charm and research value.This paper takes Kuhn’s and Schwarz’s translation of A Dream of Red Mansions as the research objects,selects 19 poems that both translators have translated to make a corpus,uses the software LancsBox to compare the translations from three levels of vocabulary,syntax,and text,in order to provide a new interpretation dimension for the translation research of A Dream of Red Mansions and enrich the application of the corpus-based method in the field of translation research of Chinese classics.

Studies on the Construction Parameter of an Artificial Occluded Cell for In-situ Inspection of the Propagation Rate of Localized Corrosion

An artificial localized corrosion system is assembled and some parameters related to the localized corrosion in active dissolution state (i.e., non-passive state) have been studied. The results showed that the developed electrochemical system can satisfactorily imitate a naturally formed localized corrosion and the coupling current can indicate the maximum localized propagating rate. In this artificial system, the anodic dissolution reaction followed the auto-catalytic mechanism. The localized corrosion current density was dependent on the area ratio R of the cathode to the occluded anode. While R was equal to or more than 6, the coupling current reached at a maximum value and did not alter with the increase in R-value. Therefore, R=7 is chosen as one of these optimum parameters used in constructing the system, with which the biggest galvanic current might be obtained. In contrast, the thickness of the polymer filler separating the occluded anode area from the bulk electrolyte solution and the volume of the occluded anode area did not affect the corrosion current obviously. They might affect the response time to approach a steady state.

The Relationship between Financial Reporting System and Project Success: A Case of Construction Projects in UAE

The purpose of this paper is to deliver a better perception of the project success,and how reporting system might increase the probability of project success in construction projects in UAE.Further,it aims at exploring the relationship between effective reporting system in terms of the characteristic of its outputs(mainly effectiveness of financial reporting system)and project success.Semi-structured interviews with a number of interior auditors,accountants,and chief financial officers(CFOs)from different corporations in construction sector in UAE in order to recognize how effective reporting system in terms of the characteristic of its outputs(broad scope,timeliness,aggregation,and integration)might contribute to increase the probability of project success.There are several success factors in construction projects in UAE,thus it is very hard to capture all these factors in one paper.Hence,this paper is not considering all project success factors rather it focuses on the characteristic of outputs of the reporting system generally and the financial reporting system particularly(broad scope,timeliness,aggregation,and integration),as most of the studies in the literature considered the reporting system as a key factor of project success.This paper adds to both project management and accounting research by evidencing results from an exploration how effective reporting might impact the project success,with valuable implications for standard officials,customers,investors,stakeholders,sponsors,shareholders,CFOs,project developer,consultants,internal auditors,and accounting academics.The effective reporting system in United Arab Emirates(UAE)construction projects enables possessors,customers,and contractors of projects to get timely information about the progress of project in a brief and significant format which in turn improve the decision-making process and contribute to project success.This paper implies a contribution for both project management literature and accounting research by investigative the effectiveness of reporting system in project successes from historical point of view and contemporary point of view.

Research on the Abilities of Community Education Study Tour Instructors

Community education study tour instructors are important action elements of community education tours.It is necessary to sort out the abilities of community education study tour instructors as well as construct a scientific and reasonable professional ability index system for community education study tour instructors,so as to promote the high-quality development of community education as well as the modernization of lifelong education governance system and governance ability.Based on the practice of community education in Jiangsu and the basic theory of pedagogy,this paper puts forward five core vocational abilities of community education,including travel education and teaching ability,curriculum development ability,management and research ability,training and guidance ability,as well as study tour guarantee ability.This paper attempts to sort out the ability of community education study tour instructors through research and analysis.A three-dimensional and multi-dimensional framework of community education instructors’ability has been constructed to provide a path for the professional development of community education study tour instructors.

Effect of continuous nursing on treatment compliance and side effect management of coronary heart disease

BACKGROUND There are relatively few studies on continuing care of coronary heart disease(CHD),and its research value needs to be further clarified.AIM To investigate the effect of continuous nursing on treatment compliance and side effect management in patients with CHD.METHODS This is a retrospective study with patients from January 2021 to 2023.The study was divided into two groups with 30 participants in each group.Self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and Self-rating depression scale(SDS)were used to assess patients'anxiety and depression,and medical coping questionnaire was used to assess patients'coping styles.The pelvic floor dysfunction questionnaire(PFDI-20)was used to assess the status of pelvic floor function,including bladder symptoms,intestinal symptoms,and pelvic symptoms.RESULTS SAS score decreased from 57.33±3.01before treatment to 41.33±3.42 after treatment,SDS score decreased from 50.40±1.45 to 39.47±1.57.The decrease of these two indexes was statistically significant(P<0.05).PFDI-20 scores decreased from the mean 16.83±1.72 before treatment to 10.47±1.3the mean after treatment,which was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The results of this study indicate that pioneering research in continuous care of CHD has a positive impact on improving patients'treatment compliance,reducing anxiety and depression levels,and improving coping styles and pelvic floor functional status.

The Application of RFID Technologies in Construction

RFID technologies have advanced greatly and deployed successfully in many industry sectors in recent years.Construction industry could benefit from the applications of RFID technologies but as yet has not found sufficient application areas.This project gives a comprehensive awareness of the RFID technologies,which focus on the investigation on the UK construction industry.The current status of RFID in construction and its potentials are specified in the analysis of questionnaires and case studies.Finally,basing on the investigations,some further tasks in developing RFID technologies are carried,including some recommendations,for the construction industry.

Evaluation of the Impact of Presence Lighting and Digital Speed Limit Trailers on Interstate Speeds in Indiana Work Zones

Work zone safety continues to be one of the important focus areas for transportation agencies. Previous studies have identified that vehicle speed and lighting conditions are significant risk factors impacting work zone safety. This study evaluated the impact of the use of presence lighting and digital speed limit trailers on nighttime motorist speeds using commercially available connected vehicle speed data. Geospatial analysis was conducted on over 500,000 connected vehicle records to linear reference nearly 18,000 records from 195 unique trajectories to study section during the study period of 2 days. Results showed that median speeds reduced by 4 to 13 mph from 11PM to 7AM during the deployment of presence lighting and speed limit trailers compared to base conditions. A Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) statistical test comparing 105 vehicles traveling through the construction zone with presence lighting and speed limit trailers with a group of 90 vehicles during base condition indicated the speeds during the deployment of presence lighting and speed limit trailers were lower than the base condition. Also, increased compliance with the 55 mph speed limit was observed when the presence lighting and digital speed limit trailers were deployed. However, there were two hours (3AM to 5AM) where speeds increased by 0 - 4 mph, perhaps due to the low volume at that hour. The encouraging results support the further deployment of presence lighting and speed limit trailers in nighttime construction zones for reducing vehicle speeds. Those future deployments should be monitored with connected vehicle speeds to collect additional data to broaden the evaluation of these speed mitigation techniques over a diverse set of construction zone activities.

Concerning the detailed analysis of the theoretical system of"One Belt and One Road",there lacks a universal theoretical framework and the foundation of the Chinese philosophy and literature."One Belt and One Road"is not only a new developmental strategy,but also a new proposition for reconstruction of our cultural status.

A Comparative Study of Chinese and American Ways of Address

From a cross-cultural pragmatic perspective, this paper makes a comparative study on American and Chinese ways of address, and finds that due to different cultural values, languages differ in the actual realization of address strategies and modifications, which leads to varied interactional styles, and thus holds that there exist distinctive cultural differences in the interactional styles of verbal behaviors, which challenges the universality of pragmatic rules among different languages and cultures.

Exploring the coupling relationship of industrial agglomeration and low-carbon economy considering spatiotemporal differentiation:An empirical study in China’s construction machinery industry

Although China’s construction machinery thrives to meet the needs of construction,a number of challenges still remain to be overcome,such as lack of thorough knowledge of regional disparities and several limitations in terms of carbon emissions and economic development.Meanwhile,a low-carbon economy was proposed and implemented in China.This research aims to investigate the differences in industrial agglomeration of construction machineries and further explore the relationship between industrial agglomeration and low-carbon economy.On this basis,spatiotemporal analysis was performed to evaluate the levels of industrial agglomeration in different regions based on the situations of China’s construction machinery industry.Furthermore,this study explored the interaction between industrial agglomeration and low-carbon economy utilizing the coupling coordination analysis method.Results showed that the coupling coordination of the two subsystems was extremely unbalanced in 2006,and it maintained an increasing trend,reaching a relatively high level in 2018.Finally,suggestions,such as establishing a policy guarantee system and implementing variable policies in different regions,were proposed to provide guidelines for the government decision-making and promote the sustainable development of China’s construction machinery industry.

PRACTICE AND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT RECONSTRUCTION DESIGN OF TRADITIONAL BUILDINGS AND GARDENS

In this paper,the author sums up some essential knowledge from the practiceabout rebuilding traditional buildings and gardens in which the author has been engagedrecently.The view points are that one should discard the dross and select the essential,re-tain the symbolic form,grasp the overall style,embody local characteristics and space outthe distance of time and space between the new and old buildings.Finally,the author con-siders that the traditional form of buildings should not be used indiscriminately at allplaces in modern times.
