Brand visual design is not only an essential bridge for companies to convey their ideas and values but also a key factor in shaping the brand image and enhancing market competitiveness.However,a pervasive concern has arisen in society that many recent graduates in brand design and visual design cannot immediately meet the demands of the design industry.Despite attempts by scholars to reform courses and teaching philosophies,there are still significant shortcomings and gaps.Therefore,based on market orientation and supply-demand concepts,this study collected in-depth recruitment demands for brand design from 74 companies and conducted systematic summarization and analysis.It synthesized a demand model consisting of three major modules and 55 content points required by companies for brand design students.Based on these demands,adjustments and plans were made to the curriculum content,aiming to construct a teaching system that not only meets market demands but also enhances students’comprehensive qualities.The goal is to cultivate more outstanding talents capable of quickly adapting to and excelling in brand design work. 展开更多

After a summary of central problems concerning the German health sector and its current challenges, the study design behind the systematic content analysis as well as its criteria are presented. Selected results describe characteristics of expert literature for employer attractiveness in general, the attractiveness of German hospitals as employers (“hospital employer attractiveness” for short) as well as employer attractiveness from a medical doctor’s point of view. An International Journalism Model of Professionalism in News Production: The Concepts and the Measurements

This study aimed to contribute in establishing an international journalism model of professionalism in the production of the news. The main purpose is to explore the degree to which this model predicts the professional values in the media content. In particular, this model was tested on the content of a leading news organization in the Middle East, AI Jazeera, to identify whether or not AI Jazeera reflected professional values in news production or other non-professional values. A total of 592 news stories--234 from AJE and 358 from AJA--published from January I, 2014, to April 30, 2014, were analyzed. The findings of this study indicate that AI Jazeera reflects professional values to a substantial degree. The professional values were reflected highly and nearly two thirds of the stories had professional values in the content. The chi square tests shows there are frequency/percentage differences, but overall the patterns are similar, with no statistically significant differences in the AJA and AlE. Scholarly implications, future studies and limitations were presented in this study. 展开更多

The integration of ideological and political theory courses in primary and secondary schools needs to be based on a certain theoretical foundation and follow the necessary principles of teaching practice.In the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities,there are practical problems such as“cross-duplication of teaching materials”,“unreasonable application of teaching methods”,and“evaluation of teaching integration”.This paper is based on solving the practical problems of“cross-duplication of textbook contents”,“unreasonable application of teaching methods”,and“evaluation of teaching integration”in the teaching of ideological and political theory studies in colleges and universities under the integration,and proposes to use the textbook as a carrier for the integration of teaching contents and to make the teaching of Civic and Political Studies in colleges and universities more efficient.We put forward the“three teaching and three reforms”teaching reforms,such as the integrated reform of teaching contents carried by teaching materials,the integrated reform of teaching methods oriented to students,and the integrated reform of teaching evaluation based on the concept of OBE(Outcome Based Education),with a view to solving the teaching problems in the integrated reform of ideological and political theory courses in universities. 展开更多

A recent short course organized in the University of Lisbon, actualized with the most relevant achievement based in master research, was offered to professionals of the industry, namely, architects and civil engineers coming from diverse engineering areas, environment, construction, maintenance, consult and patrimonial enterprises and also from public organizations like city councils. The proposed action covers the areas of construction (conflict analysis, planning and materials take-off), structures (interoperability, analyses and transfer of information between software) and the most recent Heritage Building Information Modelling (HBIM) topic. The course aims to contribute to the dissemination of the potential of BIM in the areas of designing, construction and refurbishing of historical buildings. This study attempts to investigate if and how students' perceptions regarding the first accounting course related with the selection of accounting as a major. Moreover, it examines students' initial perceptions and course performance regarding the introductory accounting course. Participants in this study were 120 students from Technological Educational Institute of Kavala, School of Business and Economics (3 departments), who were asked to complete a survey instrument. The instrument used eleven statements regarding students' perceptions (such as difficulty and motivation of the course) of the first accounting course. The main factors affect students' decisions to follow accounting and seem to be similar with other researchers' findings (Geiger & Ogilby, 2000). Future research could be used larger sample from different countries and the survey could also be used for a longer time period. 展开更多

In the paper, the authors present their experience and results related to the design and management of the on-line course "Development of e-learning resources based on the EUCIP (The European Certification of Informatics Professionals) certification scheme", which was organized under the auspices of the international Leonardo da Vinci project Sloop2desc (Sharing learning objects in an open perspective for development of European skills and competences). The course was primarily aimed at teachers of informatics. Out of 64 participants that applied for the course, slightly less than 50% managed to reach the last course module. In line with other research, the authors' experience showed that in order to minimize participants' drop-out rate, a sustained communication flow between tutors and participants was necessary and specific assignments had to be provided by the tutors, along with guidance. The authors expect the participants who successfully finished the on-line course to become a some kind of ambassadors for the introduction of the EUCIP scheme in Slovenia. 展开更多

Satisfied employees in healthcare services who have opportunities to develop their professional competence by reflecting on professional challenges play an important role in the quality of care. The aim of the present study was to describe the employees’ experience of the benefits of participating in a person-centred clinical supervision setting. The supervision, guided by a professional supervisor, was carried out with a group of six day- and night-shift municipal healthcare professionals for a period of four months during their mandatory work hours. Data were obtained from written individual evaluations and group interviews shortly after the last session and again twelve months later. The results showed that the participants experienced that their internal resources and coping skills had been strengthened by the supervision. They developed abilities to meet the challenges more constructively than before. New understandings gave them the opportunity to alternative actions in practice. Further intervention studies of person-centred clinical supervision must focus on such clinical outcomes as patient safety and professional development. 展开更多
