China’s Perspectives on the Modern Educational Value of Critical Information Literacy

Critical information literacy is a new and important direction of information literacy education for university students in the new media era.By comparing critical information literacy between China and the West,combining with the research on information literacy education in China in the past 20 years,and based on the three major relationships that Chinese philosophy is concerned about that people need to face in the world of life,i.e.,the individual and the self,the individual and nature,and the individual and the society,this paper defines critical information literacy as that individuals,as information subjects,discover,select,confirm,and evaluate the information they are exposed to by obtaining and discriminating the content elements of the information world(information sources,information,and information assets)and using critical thinking skills and methods,creatively interpret or solve the relevant problems arising from the interaction between individuals and self,individuals and nature,individuals and society,and form the literacy that represents the knowledge,ability,attitude,habit,and level of the information subject through continuous reflection and practice.In order for human beings to better understand the world and construct it responsibly,critical information literacy can play a greater role and educational value.It not only helps contemporary college students build knowledge of“good questioning”and enhance their“reasoning”skills,but also encourages them to maintain a“firm standpoint,”cultivate a habit of“healthy skepticism,”and enhance their“decision-making”skills.

Research on the Path of Integrating Ideological and Political Courses into College Physical Education Courses Under the Background of Cultivating Moral Character and Cultivating People

The national education department clearly pointed out in the“Guidelines for the Construction of Ideological and Political Curriculum in Colleges and Universities”that colleges and universities need to take on the fundamental task of cultivating moral character and cultivating people in the process of education,and reasonably integrate ideological and political courses into the curriculum to promote the overall improvement of students’ideological and political quality.This article outlines the connotation of ideological and political courses in the context of cultivating moral character and cultivating people,analyzes and summarizes the significance of integrating ideological and political courses into college physical education courses,summarizes existing problems in the construction of ideological and political courses in college physical education,and explores the path of integrating ideological and political courses into college physical education courses under the background of cultivating moral character and cultivating people,with a view to providing guidelines for teachers.

Critical Thinking in the Teaching of University English

Critical thinking is a fundamental skill for today’s college students,since it aids in the acquisition of knowledge,correct judgements,and self-adjustment.However,traditional English teaching in China only focuses on the development of students’language skills and the inculcation of language knowledge,rather than the cultivation of students’critical thinking skills.This study addresses the aforementioned problem and discusses the definition and significance of critical thinking.Subsequently,it analyzes the causes of L2 students’ineffective critical thinking and proposes several procedures for the training of students in English reading,listening,speaking,and writing.

Universality Class of the Nonequilibrium Phase Transition in Two-Dimensional Ising Ferromagnet Driven by Propagating Magnetic Field Wave

The purpose of this work is to identify the universality class of the nonequilibrium phase transition in the two-dimensional kinetic Ising ferromagnet driven by propagating magnetic field wave. To address this issue, the finite size analysis of the nonequilibrium phase transition, in two-dimensional Ising ferromagnet driven by plane propagating magnetic wave, is studied by Monte Carlo simulation. It is observed that the system undergoes a nonequilibrium dynamic phase transition from a high temperature dynamically symmetric (propagating) phase to a low temperature dynamically symmetry-broken (pinned) phase as the system is cooled below the transition temperature. This transition temperature is determined precisely by studying the fourth-order Binder Cumulant of the dynamic order parameter as a function of temperature for different system sizes (L). From the finite size analysis of dynamic order parameter ?and the dynamic susceptibility , we have estimated the critical exponents and ?(measured from the data read at the critical temperature obtained from Binder cumulant), and (measured from the peak positions of dynamic susceptibility). Our results indicate that such driven Ising ferromagnet belongs to the same universality class of the two-dimensional equilibrium Ising ferromagnet (where and ), within the limits of statistical errors.

The Basics of Flat Space Cosmology

We present a new model of cosmology which appears to show great promise. Our flat space cosmology model, using only four basic and reasonable assumptions, derives highly accurate Hubble parameter H0, Hubble radius R0 and total mass M0 values for our observable universe. Our model derives a current Hubble parameter of , in excellent agreement with the newly reported (lower limit) results of the 2015 Planck Survey. Remarkably, all of these derivations can be made with only these basic assumptions and the current CMB radiation temperature . The thermodynamic equations we have generated follow Hawking’s black hole temperature formula. We have also derived a variety of other useful cosmological formulae. These include angular velocity and other rotational formulae. A particularly useful hyperbolic equation, , has been derived, which appears to be an excellent fit for the Planck scale as well as the current observable universe scale. Using the flat space Minkowski relativistic formula for Doppler effect, and a formula for staging our cosmological model according to its average mass-energy density at every Hubble time (universal age) in its expansion, a persuasive argument can be made that the observable phenomena attributed to dark energy are actually manifestations of Doppler and gravitational redshift. Finally, a theory of cosmic inflation becomes completely unnecessary because our flat space cosmology model is always at critical density.

Simulation of critical behaviour on damage evolution

Based on a damage evolution equation and a critical damage function model, this paper has completed the numerical simulation of ductile spall fracture. The free-surface velocity and damage distribution have been used to determine jointly the physical parameters D1 （the critical linking damage）, Df （the critical fracturing damage） and k （the softening rate of critical damage function model） of the critical damage function model, which are 0.11, 0.51 and 0.57 respectively. Results indicate that the parameters determined by any of shots could be applicable to the rest of other shots, which is convincing proof for the universal property of critical damage function. In our experiments, the shock pressure is about 1 GPa to 2.5 CPa. For the reason of limited pressure range, there are still some limitations in the methods of present analysis. Moreover, according to the damage evolution characteristic of pure aluminum obtained by experiments, two critical damages are obtained, which are 0.11 and 0.51 respectively. The results are coincident with the experimental ones, which indicate that the critical growth behaviour of damage occurs in the plastic metal under dynamic loading.

清朝末年,中华民族危于累卵,变革图强成为困厄时代的核心旋律。汉字繁难是阻碍教育普及的重要原因,选择表意或表音何种文字作为教育普及的基本工具、如何处理迫在眉睫的扫盲教育与渊懿浩博的国粹传承之间的矛盾关系成为考验民族智慧的重大历史抉择。“切音字运动”关于全民教育、实用教育、免费教育、强制教育、女子教育等颇富开创意义的先进理念,直接推动了近代教育的发展进程。在当前文化自信的宏观视域下,客观审视清末内忧外患悲惨际遇下的时代论断,具有重要的理论价值与实践价值。

比较词源学视阈下西方自由逻辑批判与马克思的超越

“自由”是人类共同价值追求,但人们对“自由”的诠释却未达成共识,特别是在西方存在纷繁复杂的历史迷雾。当代中国的马克思主义研究不但要批判西方自由观,还要破除笼罩西方自由的历史迷雾,这需要深入探究马克思主义最初形成的理论土壤,从而真正把握马克思对西方自由思想的批判性和革命性本质。本文通过比较词源学的分析发现,西方“自由”的两种不同词汇表达(即“freedom”和“liberty”),具有不同的词源语境,同时对西方政治思想的自由逻辑产生了历史迷雾般的影响。只有揭示这些形成历史迷雾的源流本质,才能实现对西方自由思想的批判,而马克思正是用科学世界观和方法论破除历史迷雾,才形成具有批判性与革命性的自由观,对我们在新时代新征程增强实现人自由而全面发展的信心,具有重要的现实意义。

职业型高校科学研究的逻辑省思

我国职业型高校已经发展到本科层次,但对科学研究普遍重视不够,其科学研究的逻辑基础、逻辑支撑不清,逻辑定位不准,逻辑指向不明。通过对职业型高校科学研究的逻辑省思,发现其科学研究的内在逻辑主要表现在:第一,逻辑基础应是职业高深学问。高等教育是研究高深学问的教育;职业高等教育就是研究职业高深学问的教育。高深学问是高等教育科学研究的逻辑基础;职业高等教育科学研究的逻辑基础就应该是职业高深学问。第二,逻辑支撑应是职业学科建设。专业建设的需要很难成为开展科学研究必要的逻辑支撑;由于科学研究在学科建设中占有较大权重,因而职业科学研究必要的全面逻辑支撑只能是职业学科建设。第三,逻辑定位应是职业科学研究。职业型高校如果定位在应用科学研究上,就会与应用型高校的定位相重叠。因此,职业科学研究才是其应然选择。第四,逻辑指向应是职业研究成果。职业型高校应强调根据职业发展的需求开展有组织的科研工作,解决职业发展问题,产出职业科学研究成果。职业型高校只有将职业高深学问作为其科学研究的逻辑基础、职业学科建设作为其逻辑支撑、职业科学研究作为其逻辑定位、职业研究成果作为其逻辑指向,才能形成职业型高校科学研究的逻辑发展的良性循环。
