The interannually varying BLT exhibits a zonal seesaw pattern across the equatorial Pacific during ENSO cycles. This phenomenon has been attributed to two different physical processes. During E1 Nifio (La Nifia), the barrier layer (BL) is anomalously thin (thick) west of about 160°E, and thick (thin) to the east. In the western equatorial Pacific (the western part: 130°-160°E), interannual variations of the BLT indicate a lead of one year relative to those of the ENSO onset. The interannual variations of the BLT can be largely attributed to the interannual temperature variability, through its dominant effect on the isothermal layer depth (ILD). However, in the central equatorial Pacific (the eastern part: 160~E- 170~W), interannual variations of the BL almost synchronously vary with ENSO, with a lead of about two months relative to those of the local SST. In this region, the interannual variations of the BL are significantly affected by the interannually varying salinity, mainly through its modulation effect on the mixed layer depth (MLD). As evaluated by a onedimensional boundary layer ocean model, the BL around the dateline induced by interannual salinity anomalies can significantly affect the temperature fields in the upper ocean, indicating a positive feedback that acts to enhance ENSO.展开更多

However, the structure mechanism in canopy is still unclear. We conducted a two-year field experiment on runoff plots, exploring whether the interaction between vegetation layers reduce soil erosion in maize and potato intercropping systems. The maize, potato, and weed layers in the intercropping system were removed by a single layer, two layers and three layers, respectively(total of 8 treatments including all layers removed as the control). Then, throughfall, runoff and sediment were measured at the plot and row scale on a weekly basis. Based on the difference between each treatment and the control, we calculated and found a relative reduction of runoff and sediment by any combination of the two vegetation layers greater than the sum of each single layer. In 2016 and 2017, the highest relative reduction of runoff reached 15.65% and 46.73%, respectively. Sediment loss decreased by 33.96% and 42.77%, respectively. Moreover, runoffand sediment reduced by the combination of all vegetation layers(no layers removed) was also larger than the sum of that by each single layer. In 2016 and 2017, the highest relative reduction of runoff reached 7.32% and 3.48%, respectively. So, there were synergistic effects among multi-level(two or three layers) vegetation layers in terms of decreasing soil erosion on sloping land. Maize redistributes more throughfall at the maize intra-specific row and the maize and potato inter-specific, which is favorable for the synergistic effect of reducing soil erosion. This finding shows an important mechanism of maize and potato intercropping for soil and water conservation, and may promote the application of diverse cropping systems for sustainable agriculture in mountainous areas.展开更多

RESULTS: The mean ages were 68.0±7.5 and 69.1±7.7 years in the IVR and IVB groups, respectively (P =0.55). They underwent (6.3±1.9) and (5.1±1.3) injections (P = 0.07) over (13.6±2.1) and (14.05±2.6) months (P =0.45) in the IVR and IVB groups, respectively. Changes in overall and temporal RNFL thickness in IVR-treated eyes (105.3± 6.9μm and 74.4±11.2μm) were not different from those in untreated eyes in the IVR group (104.6±8.4μm and 75.1±12.6μm) (P =0.57 and P =0.41, respectively). Similarly, overall and temporal RNFL thickness in IVB-treated eyes (105.8±8.1μm and 74.5±11.8μm) were not different from those in untreated eyes in the IVB group (104.6±8μm and 74.8±12.9μm) (P=0.42 and P=0.80, respectively). The frequencies of IOP rise (P=0.60) and changes in RNFL thickness from baseline (P =0.16) were comparable between groups. CONCLUSION: Repeated intravitreal injection of ranibizumab or bevacizumab does not seem have adverse effects on RNFL thickness or IOP in wet AMD patients.展开更多

As Po2 increases from 10% to 30%, it is found that the device shows enhanced bias stress stability with significantly reduced threshold voltage drift under positive gate bias stress. Based on the x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement, the concentration of oxygen vacancies (Or) within the a-IGZO layer is suppressed by increasing Po2. Meanwhile, the low-frequency noise analysis indicates that the average trap density near the channel/dielectric interface continuously drops with increasing Po2. Therefore, the improved interface quality with increasing Po2 during the channel layer deposition can be attributed to the reduction of interface Ov-related defects, which agrees with the enhanced bias stress stability of the a-IGZO TFTs.展开更多

Lake Aha, which lies in the suburbs of Guiyang City,Guizhou Province, China, is a medium-sized artificial reservoir with seasonally anoxic hypolimnion. Long-term sedimentary accumulation of iron and manganese resulted in their enrichment in the upper sediments. In the anoxic season, Fe2+ and Mn2+, formed by biological oxidation, would diffuse up to overlying waters from sedlments. However, the concentration of Fe2+ increased later and decreased earlier than that of Mn2+. Generally, sulfate reduction occurred at 6 cm below the sediment-water interface. Whereas, in the anoxic season, the reduction reached upper sediments, inhibiting the release of Fe2+. The Fe concentration of anoxic water is quickly decreased from high to low as a result of reduction Of the sulphur system.展开更多

The wind profile in the surface layer including tur-bulent dispersion is still logarithmic but the von Karman constant k is replaced by k1 = 1 -2/k, the wind increasesa little more rapidly with height.展开更多

The exact solutions for wellbore pressure and the production rate obtained from layer j for a well production at a constant rate from a radial drainage area with infinite and constant pressure and no flow outer boundary condition were expressed in terms of ordinary Bessel functions. These solutions were computed numerically by the Crump''s numerical inversion method and the behavior of systems was studied as a function of various reservoir parameters. The model was compared with the real wellbore radii model. The new model is numerically stable when the skin factor is positive and negative, but the real wellbore radii model is numerically stable only when the skin factor is positive.展开更多

The results show that when the thickness of the metal layer becomes smaller, the orbital magnetism of the charged particles which collide with the wall of the metal layer is to vary from diamagnetism to paramagnetism. The smaller the thickness of the metal layer becomes, the more particles will collide with the boundary of the metal layer, and then the paramagnetism becomes stronger. Finally, when the thickness of the metal layer becomes very small (<100 nm), all of the orbital diamagnetism will reverse to paramagnetism, and then the paramagnetization will be almost a maximum constant.展开更多

This finding shows an important mechanism of maize and potato intercropping for soil and water conservation, and may promote the application of diverse cropping systems for sustainable agriculture in mountainous areas.
文摘AIM: To determine the effect of multiple injections of ranibizumab or bevacizumab on retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD). ·METHODS: This retrospective study includes 35 eyes of 35 patients treated with intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB, 1.25mg/0.05mL) and 30 eyes of 30 patients with intravitreal ranibizumab (IVR, 0.5mg/0.05mL) who had Fast RNFL analysis (Stratus TM ); IOP measurements were taken 30 minutes and 24 hours after each injection. CONCLUSION: Repeated intravitreal injection of ranibizumab or bevacizumab does not seem have adverse effects on RNFL thickness or IOP in wet AMD patients.

文摘[Objective] The aim was to study the characteristics of the changes of the urban boundary layer thermodynamic stability induced by heat island effect and their influences on precipitation.[Method] Proceeding from the thermodynamic equation, the changes of urban boundary layer thermodynamic stability caused by the urban heat disturbance and the mean state of heat island effect were discussed. The influence of the changes of urban boundary layer thermodynamic stability on the precipitation was expounded.Combining with case study of precipitation in Xi’an,the test was verified.[Result] Under interaction between the disturbed temperature and disturbed airflow, the boundary thermal disturbed stability(θ’z) was positive in the urban zone,as well as in the upstream and downstream areas of the city. But the stability in the urban zone was weaker than the suburbs, which favored for the short-time convective precipitation. For the boundary layer mean thermal stability(θ-0-0z) under the interaction between the mean airflow and mean environmental temperature,if the city zone was in the front of the warm ridge, the stability in the upstream of the city weakened which increased the instability of the boundary layer, while it increased in the downstream of the city.It was contrary if the city zone was in the font of the cold trough. For the mean airflow(prevailing wind) and the mean horizontal disturbed temperature,if it was upward motion in the boundary layer, the boundary layer mean thermal disturbed stability(θ’-0z) was negative in the downstream and positive in the upstream.Strong precipitation occured in the upstream of the city.It was contrary if it was descending air in the boundary layer.[Conclusion] The above results served some references for the fine city forecast.

文摘The effect of oxygen partial pressure (Po2) during the channel layer deposition on bias stability of amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs) is investigated. Therefore, the improved interface quality with increasing Po2 during the channel layer deposition can be attributed to the reduction of interface Ov-related defects, which agrees with the enhanced bias stress stability of the a-IGZO TFTs.
文摘The redox cycle of iron and manganese is a major geochemical process at the boundary layers of lake sediments. The Fe concentration of anoxic water is quickly decreased from high to low as a result of reduction Of the sulphur system.
文摘New Reynolds' mean momentum equations including both turbulent viscosity and dispersion are used to analyze atmospheric balance motions of the planetary boundary layer. It is pointed out that turbulent dispersion with r 0 will increase depth of Ekman layer, reduce wind velocity in Ekman layer and produce a more satisfactory Ekman spiral lines fit the observed wind hodograph. The wind profile in the surface layer including tur-bulent dispersion is still logarithmic but the von Karman constant k is replaced by k1 = 1 -2/k, the wind increasesa little more rapidly with height.

文摘Various satellite data,JRA-25(Japan reanalysis of 25 years) reanalyzed data and WRF(Weather Research Forecast) model are used to investigate the in situ effect of the ESKF(East China Sea Kuroshio Front) on the MABL(marine atmospheric boundary layer). The intensity of the ESKF is most robust from January to April in its annual cycle. The local strong surface northerly/northeasterly winds are observed right over the ESKF in January and in April and the wind speeds decrease upward in the MABL.The thermal wind effect that is derived from the baroclinic MABL forced by the strong SST gradient contributes to the strong surface winds to a large degree. The convergence zone existing along the warm flank of the ESKF is stronger in April than in January corresponding to the steeper SST(sea surface temperature) gradient. The collocations of the cloud cover maximum and precipitation maximum are basically consistent with the convergence zone of the wind field. The clouds develop higher(lower) in the warm(cold) flank of the ESKF due to the less(more) stable stratification in the MABL.The lowest clouds are observed in April on the cold flank of the ESKF and over the Yellow Sea due to the existence of the pronounced temperature inversion. The numerical experiments with smoothed SST are consistent with the results from the ovservations.

文摘The maximum effective hole-diameter mathematical model describing the flow of slightly compressible fluid through a commingled reservoir was solved rigorously with consideration of wellbore storage and different skin factors. The new model is numerically stable when the skin factor is positive and negative, but the real wellbore radii model is numerically stable only when the skin factor is positive.
文摘The microstructure and optical properties of a buried layer formed by O+(200keV,1.8×1018/cm2)and N+(180 keV,4×1017/cm2)co-implantation and annealed at 1200℃for 2 h have been investigated by Auger electron,IR absorption and reflection spectroscopicmeasurements. The results show that the buried layer consists of silicon dioxide and SiOx(x【 2)and the nitrogen segregates to the wings of the buried layer where it forms an oxynitride.Bydetail theoretical analysis and computer simulation of the IR reflection interference spectrum, therefractive index profiles of the buried layer were obtained.
文摘A micro-layer model is proposed to account for the lubrication effect of liquid layer near collisions of immersed particles at moderate particle Reynolds number. This new model is to allow determination of the pressure profile within the micro-layer including the fluid inertia and viscosity. Then a correction based on the micro-layer model is applied to unsteady 3-D direct simulation of a particle approaching another one.The simulation is based on a modified immersed boundary method with direct force scheme. The quantitative agreement between numerical and experimental results validates the model presented in the study. The simulation results show that the fluid is squeezed prior to contact. When a particle approaches a flat wall or another particle, the lubrication force, obtained by integrating the pressure profile over the particle surface,is increased and prevents the particle from approaching. The model predicts that the velocity of approaching particle starts to decrease when separation distance of particles is less than 0.1dp,where dp is the particle diameter.

文摘The energies and the magnetization of an electron in a piece of metal in the structure of Metal/Insulator/Metal/Insulator… (M/I/M/I…), in a magnetic field, at high temperature, and in range of quantum size thickness of the piece of metal layer have been obtained. Finally, when the thickness of the metal layer becomes very small (<100 nm), all of the orbital diamagnetism will reverse to paramagnetism, and then the paramagnetization will be almost a maximum constant.

文摘Using the PSGRN/PSCMP software and the fault model offered by USGS and on the basis of finite rectangular dislocation theory and the local layered wave velocity structures of the crust-upper-mantle, the in- fluences of crustal layering and thickness on co-seismic gravity changes and deformation of Wenchuan earthquake have been simulated. The results indicate that: the influences have a relationship with the attitude of faults and the relative position between calculated points and fault. The difference distribution form of simula- ted results between the two models is similar to that of co-seismic effect. For the per centum distribution, it' s restricted by the zero line of the co-seismic effects obviously. Its positive is far away from the zero line. For the crustal thickness, the effect is about 10% -20%. The negative and the effect over 30% focus around the zero line. The average influences of crustal layering and thickness for the E-W displacement, N-S displacement, vertical displacement and gravity changes are 18.4 % , 18.0% , 15.8 % and 16.2% respectively, When the crustal thickness is 40 km, they are 4.6% ,5.3% ,3.8% and 3.8%. Then the crustal thickness is 70 kin, the average influences are 3.5%, 4. 6% ,3.0% and 2.5% respectively.
