An Empirical Study of the Socratic Method in Nongraded English Teaching in Senior High School Under the Background of the New National College Entrance Examination

With the reform of the New National College Entrance Examination(Gaokao),the nongraded education will become an inevitable trend.In senior high school,the traditional test-oriented education is popular.The knowledge is mainly taught by the teachers,and the students passively absorb it.This study examines a problem-oriented Socratic experiment in nongraded English teaching in senior high school.The teachers seek output from students,who respond by interpreting questions,fostering critical thinking,and enhancing problem-solving skills.This teaching experiment indicates that the Socratic method has a significant positive effect on cultivating nongraded senior high English students’critical thinking under the New National College Entrance Examination.

On the Current Status and Future of Self-Taught Higher Education Examination

As one of the major innovations of China's higher education system,the self-taught examination system has made brilliant achievements in its decades of development and has nurtured a large number of high-quality talents for the country and society.However,with the development of the times,various forms of higher education are emerging,which has had a great impact on self-taught exams.Some problems of self-taught exams have been exposed.Solutions to solving these problems have become the key to promoting the healthy and sustainable development of higher education self-taught exams.

Research on the Reform of College Entrance Examination Content under the Background of New College Entrance

With the aim of deepening the college entrance examination reform,this paper analyzes the orientation and role of examination evaluation in the reform of college entrance examination.Firstly,the paper expounds the implementation of the college entrance examination reform and affirms the necessity of several related educational reforms.Secondly,it expoxmds the orientation of examination evaluation.Finally,it summarizes the function of examination evaluation from four aspects:guiding the development of students*comprehensive quality,supervising teaching work,promoting the progress of teaching work,and guiding examination propositions.The advantages of examination evaluation are emphasized to promote the reform of college entrance examination and further drive the progress of the education reform in China.

Influencing program satisfaction for undergraduate students in STEM areas: The impact of interdisciplinary features, disciplinary connectedness, faculty support, and examination difficulty

Ensuring program satisfaction for undergraduate students in the areas of science,technology,engineering and mathematics(STEM)matters in student retention and education quality improvement.This study explores how four rarely examined variables support from faculty members,interdisciplinary features of STEM program courses,disciplinary connectedness of STEM program core courses,and examination difficulty impact Chinese STEM undergraduates’program satisfaction.With data from 619 Chinese STEM undergraduates,structural equation modeling shows that course satisfaction partially mediates the impact of support from faculty members on program satisfaction,while fully mediating that of interdisciplinary features of STEM program courses and disciplinary connectedness of STEM program core courses on program satisfaction.Examination difficulty exerts no significant impact on program satisfaction neither directly nor indirectly.Support from faculty members impact course satisfaction significantly stronger for junior and senior students than for freshmen and sophomores,while interdisciplinary features of STEM program courses impact course satisfaction stronger for freshmen and sophomores than for juniors and seniors.The study ends with practical implications for the higher education reform in relevant areas.

Equity in Higher Education Opportunities in China

Higher education has been developing rapidly since China implemented reforms and opening up policy.However,limitation of the government’s financial resources investment,regional development,and other factors has resulted in unfair higher education opportunities.Therefore,this study uses archival research method to analyze and study the general situation of higher education,college entrance examination system,and equity of higher education opportunities other issues in China.This study explains the connotation of equity of education and higher education opportunities,and conducts in-depth analysis of equity of higher education opportunities in starting point,process,and results.It focuses on analyzing the factors that influence the equity of higher education opportunities in China.It also analyzes the status quo and problems of equity of higher education opportunities in China.Aiming at solving these problems,this study proposes recommendations from four aspects.

职教高考制度的发展历程、瓶颈问题及破解路径——以湖北省为例

职教高考制度是优化人才层次结构、拓宽成长成才通道、完善现代职业教育体系的重要举措。作为推进职教高考改革的先行实践,湖北省积极探索职教高考制度区域模式创新的新路,逐渐从萌芽起步期迈向深化提质期,呈现出鲜明特征:在制度理念上,从“消化模仿”向“改革创新”转变;在制度主体上,从“一元主体”向“多元主体”转变;在制度内容上,从“单一松散”向“系统规范”转变。然而,湖北省职教高考在发展过程中存在一系列需要破解的难题,如晋升渠道之困境、技能评价之难题、文化素质之困囿、组织实施之窘境。因此,系统总结湖北省“技能高考”制度的发展历程,准确把握“技能高考”的目标定位,完善“技能高考”招录机制、建立健全职业技能评价体系、全面优化“文化素质+职业技能”考试方式、深化考试方式分层分类等,能有效彰显职业教育类型特色,进而建立高质量现代职业教育体系。

作为建设职普融通“双轨”评价体系的关键一维,职业教育高考不仅需要扭转不科学的教育评价导向,更要让人民群众能够感受到教育评价改革所带来的公平正义。通过对1019名职业教育高考考生的调查数据进行分析发现:职业教育高考制度感知正义整体处于较低水平,无法充分彰显类型化教育评价理念;性别、生源类型对考生职业教育高考制度感知正义影响明显;学生群体对政策的了解程度偏低,导致整体感知正义较低。为优化职业教育高考制度的感知正义,职业教育高考要更加重视招生考试各环节的公平性问题,要充分考虑到不同群体的感知正义差异;要加强制度普及和制度正义的宣传工作。

体育高考生术科考试焦虑的潜在类别及影响因素研究

目的:探索体育高考生术科考试焦虑的类型及影响因素。方法:以2022年江西省785位体育高考生为调查对象,采用体育术科考试焦虑量表、成就动机量表和自我效能量表进行测量,用潜在类别模型对体育高考术科考试焦虑进行潜在类别探索,用无序多元logistic回归模型分析其影响因素。结果:①《体育高考术科考试焦虑量表》有良好的信效度,可用于体育高考生的专业考试焦虑测量。②体育高考生术科考试焦虑可分三个潜在类别,分别是认知状态焦虑组(11.3%)、躯体和状态自信焦虑组(51.2%)和高焦虑水平组(37.5%);③女生、城市考生和高自我效能者更可能进入认知状态焦虑组,成就动机对高焦虑水平组有显著的预测效应,三组之间复读生的比例没有显著性差异。结论:体育高考生术科考试焦虑有显著的群体异质和个体差异,自我效能、性别和生源地对考生的类别归属有显著影响,高成就动机可缓解高焦虑水平,是否复读对考生的类别归属没有显著影响。

宁做“鸡头”不做“凤尾”?——新高考背景下优质高中对学生学业表现的影响

基于某新高考省份高中毕业生的大规模问卷调查数据,使用断点回归方法研究进入不同梯队优质高中对学生高考成绩、选科选考及学习投入的影响。研究发现:从学业成绩来看,优质高中并没有显著提升学生的高考成绩;相比在第二梯队优质高中做“鸡头”,勉强进入第一梯队优质高中的“凤尾”学生甚至可能面临成绩损失。从学习行为来看,“鸡头”和“凤尾”学生在选科选考和学习投入方面差异不大;相比非优质高中的“鸡头”,第二梯队优质高中的“凤尾”学生更晚确定选考科目、校内学习投入更少;相比第二梯队优质高中的“鸡头”,第一梯队优质高中的“凤尾”学生的校内学习投入更多、但学习效率更低。本文的研究发现侧面验证了政府部门监管择校、实施教育资源均衡政策的必要性。

中考体育政策执行效果直接影响着我国中考体育的改革与发展。基于史密斯政策执行过程模型,运用文献资料法与逻辑分析法,对当前我国中考体育政策的实施过程进行梳理与分析。研究认为,政策有效推行不畅、机构运行效果滞后、目标认知偏差和外界阻力较大等都是阻滞中考体育政策有效执行的重要因素。提出中考体育政策执行的路径:强化政策制定体系,保证政策科学合理;完善政策执行机制,发挥多元协同作用;激发群体主动性,满足群体利益需求;营造良好政策环境,提升宣传保障效能。
