The Formative Role of Art: John Dewey's Art as Quotidian Experience

The present manuscript aims to examine the impact of art on the cultivation of personality and sensitivity. The author suggests that education in art contributes to evolving sensibility towards the surrounding world. The artistic knowledge or attitude helps us perceive and feel the quotidian with affection, imagination, and creativity. It functions as a complement to a rational understanding of reality. This paper retakes Aristotelian category of poiesis, considering it a creative act and delves into John Dewey's view of relations between education and art. Dewey f'mds in the aesthetic-artistic experience of the quotidian a way to engage with the other and to treat life as something with deep aesthetic sense. The discussion shown in this article follows four main threads under the scope of the Deweynian notion of art as experience, They are the education for art, education by art, education in art, and the creative act of the quotidian. 展开更多

According to constitutional jurisprudence in China,Article 51 of the Constitution is an unenumerated restrictive clause.Such theoretical construction fails to justify the differentiated restrictions established in the Constitution and makes it difficult to explain the constitutional status of human dignity. Article 51 implies the possibility of other theoretical constructions. It is not an unenumerated restriction clause but an unenumerated rights clause. It aims to provide guarantees for general freedom of action not enumerated in the Constitution rather than restricting fundamental rights. The actual benefit of this kind of theoretical construction lies in that it can establish the basis of the constitutional text for general freedom of action and promote the people’s correct understanding of the model of restriction on fundamental rights established by the Constitution of PRC. 展开更多

In 2011 neutrinos from CERN in Geneva-CH were announced to reach to the OPERA Lab in Gran Sasso-IT 60 ns earlier than light. In reality, the velocity of the neutrinos was compared, not with the measured one-way velocity of light, however with the presumed velocity of light c. As this conclusion breaks the light postulate, the data were withdrawn. In fact, to compare the neutrino velocity with the presumed velocity of light violates a fundamental precept of scientific methodologies. Such a comparison could make a sense only if the velocity of both neutrinos and light had been measured along the same path in vacuum. Actually the absence of the solar gravitational slowing of the GPS clocks, absence of light anisotropy with respect to earth etc. demonstrates that the Higgs Quantum Fluid Space (HQFS), giving mass to the elementary particles and thus ruling their inertial motion, is moving round the sun according to a Keplerian velocity field, consistently with the planetary motions. It is also moving round earth consistently with the orbital motion of the Moon. The Keplerian velocity fields are the quintessence of the gravitational fields. In the earth’s field, the velocity of the HQFS achieves 7.91 km/sec on surface and drags both the neutrinos and light toward the East. In the South-East direction, from CERN to OPERA Lab, making &sim;58 degrees with the Meridians, this drag adds 6.7 km/sec to the conventional light velocity c, making neutrinos from CERN (and light) to reach the OPERA Lab ~60 ns earlier than presumed by the current theories. 展开更多

Einstein’s Theory of Relativity in the Scenario of the Higgs Quantum Space Dynamics

This work is concerned about the true physical mechanism of gravity. The Higgs theory introduces important changes in Einstein’s view about the nature of empty space, about the meaning of motions and about the nature of the gravitational physics. The Higgs Quantum Space (HQS) is a real quantum fluid spatial medium, giving inertial mass to the elementary particles by the Higgs mechanism. Therefore, the HQS rules the inertial motion of matter-energy and is the local ultimate reference for rest and for motions. In this new scenario, velocity with respect to the local HQS and not relative velocity is the origin of all the effects of motion. The HQS also necessarily is responsible for the gravitational fields because it is mass that creates the gravitational fields. The observed absence of the gravitational slowing of the GPS clocks by the solar field and the absence of light anisotropy with respect to earth are both the obvious signature of the true physical mechanism of gravity in action. These observations show that the HQS is moving itself round the sun according to a Keplerian velocity field, consistent with the planetary motions, which will be shown to accurately create, besides the observed gravitational dynamics, all the observed effects of the gravitational fields on light and on clocks. Current theories explain the absence of the solar gravitational slowing of the GPS clocks with base in the principle of equivalence. In the language of the present work, the HQS materializes the local Lorentz frames (LFs), turning them into local proper LFs, intrinsically stationary with respect to the local moving HQS. In its motions, the HQS carries these local proper LFs with it round the sun, so that the planets of the solar system are stationary with respect to them, which directly predicts the absence of the gravitational slowing of the GPS clocks by the solar field, the absence of light anisotropy with respect to earth and all the other effects of the gravitational fields observed on earth. 展开更多

Objective:Based on network pharmacology and molecular docking technology to explore the mechanism of Professor Cao Enze's application of Panax notoginseng in the treatment of membranous nephropathy.Methods:TCMSP database was used to obtain the effective components and corresponding target information of Panax notoginseng,and Gene Cards database was used to obtain the disease target genes of membranous nephropathy.The intersection targets of the two were taken and the Venn diagram was drawn.The STRING database was used to obtain the protein interaction relationship,and the PPI network diagram was constructed by Cytoscape 3.9.1 software to screen out the core targets of Panax notoginseng in the treatment of membranous nephropathy.GO function and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis were performed using the David database to obtain the potential pathway of Panax notoginseng in the treatment of membranous nephropathy.Finally,Autodock software was used to verify the molecular docking of the main active components of the drug with the core targets.Results:A total of 7 effective components such as quercetin,ginsenoside rh2,Mandenol and Stigmasterol were retrieved,and 127 potential targets of Panax notoginseng in the treatment of membranous nephropathy were screened out.By PPI network topology analysis,23 core targets such as JUN,TP53,RELA,AKT1 and MAPK1 were screened out.GO functional enrichment analysis contained 703 biological processes,55 cell components and 121 molecular functions,and KEGG signal pathway enrichment analysis enriched 171 signal pathways.The results of molecular docking showed that there was a strong binding ability between the main core targets and the main components of Panax notoginseng.Conclusion:Through network pharmacology,it is concluded that Panax notoginseng treats membranous nephropathy through multiple targets and multiple pathways,which provides a theoretical basis for subsequent basic research. 展开更多

What Is the Missing Dark Energy in a Nutshell and the Hawking-Hartle Quantum Wave Collapse

We reason that in quantum cosmology there are two kinds of energy. The first is the ordinary energy of the quantum particle which we can measure. The second is the dark energy of the quantum wave by quantum duality. B... We reason that in quantum cosmology there are two kinds of energy. The first is the ordinary energy of the quantum particle which we can measure. The second is the dark energy of the quantum wave by quantum duality. Because measurement collapses the Hawking-Hartle quantum wave of the cosmos, dark energy cannot be detected or measured in any conventional manner. The quantitative results are confirmed using some exact solutions for the hydrogen atom. In particular the ordinary energy of the quantum particle is given by E(0) = (/2)(mc2) where is Hardy’s probability of quantum entanglement, =( - 1)/2 is the Hausdorff dimension of the zero measure thin Cantor set modeling the quantum particle, while the dark energy of the quantum wave is given by E(D) = (5/2)(mc2) where is the Hausdorff dimension of the positive measure thick empty Cantor set modeling the quantum wave and the factor five (5) is the Kaluza-Klein spacetime dimension to which the measure zero thin Cantor set D(0) = (0,) and the thick empty set D(-1) = (1,) must be lifted to give the five dimensional analogue sets namely and 5 needed for calculating the energy density E(0) and E(D) which together add to Einstein’s maximal total energy density E(total) = E(0) + E(D) = mc2 = E(Einstein). These results seem to be in complete agreement with the WMAP, supernova and recent Planck cosmic measurement as well as the 2005 quantum gravity experiments of V. V. Nesvizhersky and his associates. It also confirms the equivalence of wormhole solutions of Einstein’s equations and quantum entanglement by scaling the Planck scale. 展开更多

Change of pore water near the freezing front during soil freezing: Migration and mechanisms

The formation and growth of segregation ice dominate the frost heave during soil freezing,which is closely related to water migration.To analyze segregation ice during soil freezing for different soils,a freezing-thawing experiment was conducted with Lanzhou loess(LZL)and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau silty clay(QSC)using a novel layered nuclear magnetic resonance approach.During LZL freezing,the unfrozen water content first increased and then decreased with decreasing temperature near the freezing front,but decreased with decreasing temperature in other layers,whereas during the freezing of QSC,the unfrozen water content in different layers(including the freezing front)decreased with decreased temperature.Notably,the increased liquid water near the freezing front during LZL freezing was primarily adsorbed water.In addition to the temperature gradient,the squeezing action during soil freezing was another important factor affecting water migration,especially at the early stage of soil freezing.However,which of the two factors,squeezing action and temperature gradient,was the dominant one causing water migration depended on soil structure.At the early stage of soil freezing,the squeezing action had a significant effect on the water migration of LZL,but no significant effect on that of QSC.Furthermore,water accumulation of LZL near the freezing front due to squeezing action at the early stage of freezing limited the formation and growth of segregation ice.This study provided an improved understanding for ice segregation and water migration during soil freezing. 展开更多

The other ways for space microgravity experiment are with the help of Chinese Shenzhou spacecraft, Chinese Tiangong space laboratory, and Chinese space station in the near future. 利用球磨纳米生物质炭模拟老化产生的纳米生物质炭,通过一维柱迁移试验研究了不同背景溶液离子强度(IS)、pH和流速对球磨纳米生物质炭在饱和多孔石英砂介质中迁移与滞留行为的影响,并运用对流弥散模型拟合穿透与滞留曲线得到沉积速率系... 利用球磨纳米生物质炭模拟老化产生的纳米生物质炭,通过一维柱迁移试验研究了不同背景溶液离子强度(IS)、pH和流速对球磨纳米生物质炭在饱和多孔石英砂介质中迁移与滞留行为的影响,并运用对流弥散模型拟合穿透与滞留曲线得到沉积速率系数等运移参数,结合DLVO理论研究影响作用机制。结果表明:背景溶液IS降低,pH和流速升高,球磨纳米生物质炭的迁移率明显提高。这是由于在低IS和高pH条件下,球磨纳米生物质炭和石英砂的电负性增加,从而增强了两者之间的静电斥力,同时球磨纳米生物质炭之间具有更好的分散性,有助于球磨纳米生物质炭的迁移;在高流速条件下,球磨纳米生物质炭在石英砂柱中的滞留时间因为平流扩散而减短,同时水流剪切作用力增大不利于颗粒在石英砂上的吸附,有助于球磨纳米生物质炭的迁移。 展开更多
