Inhibition Effects of Different Trace and Secondary Elements on Scab of Cucurbits(Cladosporium cucumerinum) and Their Effects on Enzyme Activities of Cucumber Plants

The paper was to explore the effect of trace and secondary elements on scab of cucurbits ( Cladosporium cucumerinum) and their effects on enzyme activities of cucumber plants. [ Method ] Indoor antifungd experiment and pot test was carried out to study the control effect of different trace and secondary dements on scab of cucu.rbits; after trace and secondary element compounds were sprayed for 7 d, the content of soluble protein and malondialdehyde (MDA) and the activities of peroxidase (POD) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) of cucumber leaves during seedling stage were simultaneously detected. [ Result] The inhibi- tion effects on scab of cucurbits were found in the three trace and secondary dements, especially for the CaC12 (66.9%), and about 54.6% and 24.1% for ZnSO4 and H3 BO3 , respectively. When cucumber plants were infected by scab of cuea.rbits, the contents of MDA for all treatments were significantly decreased in cucum- ber leaves after spraying the three trace and secondary elements compared with control. The contents of soluble protein in cucumber seedling were increased by Zn- SO4 and H3 BO3 application, while the contents of POD and SOD were increased on ZnSO4 and CaCI2 treatments. The defense system of cucumber was induced and strengthened by application of the three trace and secondary elements. [ Conclusion ] The results provided the theoretical basis for practical application and research on resistance mechanism of using trace and secondary dements to control scab of eueurbits. 展开更多

The Ailaoshan aquamarine-bearing pegmatites are associated with Proterozoic metamorphic rocks in the southern portion of the Ailaoshan fault-folded complex.The gem-bearing pegmatite mineralization zones of the region occur in areas generally consistent with the regional tectonic trend.The pegmatites are found in metamorphic rocks,migmatites and in the inner/outer contact zones of gneissoid granites. The Rb-Sr isochron drawn for the pegmatites is 26~31 Ma,(i.e.in Himalayan).The homogenization temperatures of melt and liquid inclusions in minerals vary from 185 to 920℃,which are comparable to the inclusions observed in banded migmatites and ptygmatic quartz veins in the surrounding metamorphic rocks. The mineralization fluids of the pegmatite were rich in HCO_3 and CO_2,and their compositional assemblages are comparable to metamorphic fluids.Results of H,O,C,Si etc.isotopic analyses and REE,and Be analyses indicates that the sources of mineralization components that formed the pegmatites are closely associated with metamorphic fluids and the enclosing metamorphic rocks. A pegmatite structure simulation experiment was conducted at high temperature and pressure(840℃and 1,500×105Pa.),with various metamorphic rock samples in a water-rich and volatile-rich environment.When the liquidus was reached,the temperature was gradually decreased at the rate of 5~10℃/day over a time period of three months.SEM energy-dispersive spectrum analyses were performed on the experimental products.A series of pegmatoid textures were observed including zonal texture,megacryst texture,drusy cavities,crystal druses,and vesicular texture along with more than ten types of minerals including plagioclase,microcline,quartz and biotite.Different metamorphic rock melts generated different mineral assemblages.Experiment results revealed that the partial melting of metamorphic rocks could form melts similar to pegmatite magmas. Based upon the geological characteristics,geochemistry,and pegmatite texture simulation experimental results,it is concluded that the mineralization components of Ailaoshan aquamarine-bearing pegmatites came from metamorphic rocks.The petrogenetic model for the origin of pegmatites is related to ultrametamorphism and metamorphic anatexis. 展开更多

This paper reviews some experiments and hypotheses developed in this area, which mainly include plant fine roots growth, root turnover, root respiration and other root dynamics responses to elevated CO2 and global climate change. Some recent new methods of studying root systems were also discussed and summarized. It holds herein that the assemblage of information about root turnover patterns, root respiration and other dynamic responses to elevated atmospheric CO2 and global climatic change can help to better understand and explore some new research areas. In this paper, some research challenges in the plant root responses to the elevated CO2 and other environmental factors during global climate change were also demonstrated. 展开更多

The mathematics model of the drive control system for this motor is established. The new mode that the added exiting magnetism field could be weakened and the speed of the motor could be controlled automatically is proposed and realized. The method of root locus design is applied to analyze the acceleration control characteristic. The results of simulation show that the new drive motor control system has extraordinary response characteristic and adjustable performance. Experiments of vehicle running show that the drive control system's antijamming ability is strong and the adjustable performance is fast and smooth, it can meet the demand of power characteristic very well. 展开更多

Capacity for agriculture production needs to be increased to meet the demands of the increasing human population. Within alternatives for an improvement in technology of agriculture in arid and sub arid countries’ irrigation with magnetized water (MH<sub>2</sub>O). This study was carried out to investigate the nutrients taken up by plants irrigated with (MH<sub>2</sub>O). During this study, we have grown Cucumis sativus in greenhouse for one month. The growth was carried on a sandy loamy soil type with two sets of pots 1) one set of pots without MH<sub>2</sub>O, as reference and 2) another set of pots was irrigated with MH<sub>2</sub>O. The results revealed that the plants’ leaves irrigated with MH<sub>2</sub>O were enriched in Zn, Cu and depleted in Ba, Ti and Sr relative to the plant grown in control conditions and unchanged in Fe, V, Ni;Mn and Cr. The roots of the same plants irrigated with MH<sub>2</sub>O were depleted in Fe, Mn, Ti, Ba, V, Ni, Cr, Zn and Sr. Translocation of elements from roots to leaves irrigated with MH<sub>2</sub>O seems more important than for plants irrigated with ordinary water. Based on the results of this study, irrigation with magnetized water may exhibit a positive effect on nutrition of plants. In addition to the effect of MH<sub>2</sub>O on growth, content of nutrients, revealed the effect on the quality of plants. These results show that irrigation with MH<sub>2</sub>O in arid countries with reduced water resources, may help to promote agriculture for an amelioration by increasing available elements. 展开更多

In order to explore the physiological and biochemical characteristics of fresh upper leaves and roots of different qualities of tobacco, the malonaldehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, chlorophyllase activity, amylase activity, medium trace element content, chemical component content, root fresh weight, dry weight and activity in the normal tobacco leaves, tobacco leaves rich in nutrients and premature grey tobacco leaves were studied. The results showed that compared with the normal tobacco leaves, the root fresh weight, dry weight and activity in the premature grey tobacco leaves decreased by 41.22%, 14.44% and 60.29% respectively, while malonaldehyde content increased by 34.82%, and chlorophyllase, α-amylase, β-amylase and SOD activity declined by 89.55%, 65.71%, 71.26% and 37.25% respectively. Chlorophyllase, co-amylase and 13-amylase activity in the tobacco leaves rich in nutrients decreased by 58.76%, 36.19% and 41.93% respectively. The content of medium trace elements in the tobacco leaves rich in nutrients and premature grey tobacco leaves was lower than that of the normal tobacco leaves. Starch, total sugar, reducing sugar and potassium content in the normal tobacco leaves were higher than that of the tobacco leaves rich in nutrients and premature grey tobacco leaves. 展开更多

If a partial contralateral C7 nerve is transferred to a recipient injured nerve, results are not satisfactory. However, if an entire contralateral C7 nerve is used to repair two nerves, both recipient nerves show good recovery. These findings seem contradictory, as the above two methods use the same donor nerve, only the cutting method of the contralateral C7 nerve is different. To verify whether this can actually result in different repair effects, we divided rats with right total brachial plexus injury into three groups. In the entire root group, the entire contralateral C7 root was transected and transferred to the median nerve of the affected limb. In the posterior division group, only the posterior division of the contralateral C7 root was transected and transferred to the median nerve. In the entire root + posterior division group, the entire contralateral C7 root was transected but only the posterior division was transferred to the median nerve. After neurectomy,the median nerve was repaired on the affected side in the three groups. At 8, 12, and 16 weeks postoperatively, electrophysiological examination showed that maximum amplitude, latency, muscle tetanic contraction force, and muscle fiber cross-sectional area of the flexor digitorum superficialis muscle were significantly better in the entire root and entire root + posterior division groups than in the posterior division group. No significant difference was found between the entire root and entire root + posterior division groups. Counts of myelinated axons in the median nerve were greater in the entire root group than in the entire root + posterior division group, which were greater than the posterior division group. We conclude that for the same recipient nerve, harvesting of the entire contralateral C7 root achieved significantly better recovery than partial harvesting, even if only part of the entire root was used for transfer. This result indicates that the entire root should be used as a donor when transferring contralateral C7 nerve. 展开更多

The distribution patterns of rare earth elements(REEs)in fine-grained materials in various depositions were often found to be similar to those of the aeolian sediments deposited in the Loess Plateau in North China and the fine-grained materials were suggested to be derived from wind-blown dust.However,increasing evidence indicated that the REEs in the water-soluble portion of atmospheric depositions also displayed similar patterns to those of aeolian sediments.In this study,water-soluble REEs in three atmospheric depositions collected from different climatic zones in China were adsorbed with two adsorbents with distinct adsorption capacity,glass powder,and co-precipitated iron hydroxide.The results showed that the REEs adsorbed by the two adsorbents displayed patterns similar to those of the original atmospheric depositions.The typical characteristics of the REE patterns of atmospheric deposition can be well reproduced in the adsorbed REEs.The higher the REE concentrations in the atmospheric depositions,or the higher adsorption efficiency of the adsorbents,the better reproducibility of the REEs patterns.The results suggest that the REEs of the fine-grained materials in various sediments,which have a high adsorption capacity,especially those deposited in South China,may come from the water-soluble REEs in atmospheric deposition,and may not be appropriate tracers of wind-blown dust from North China. 展开更多

[Method] Corn root soils and corn samples from various parts were collected from the Inner Mongolia Hetao agricultural economic zone. Trace element contents in root soils and different parts of corn were analyzed. [Result] Most element contents in cumulated irrigated soil were relatively higher. Most elements were relatively enriched in the stems and leaves of corn. F, Mn and Co were relatively enriched in roots of corn; and N was strongly enriched in grains, and Zn and F were relatively enriched in grains. [Conclusion] It is necessary to rationally apply fertilizer in corn production area in Hetao and control the application of harmful elements in fertilizer in future. 展开更多

A large amount of coal ashes, which are regarded as waste materials, have been stockpiled in the area and have influenced the environment of the mine district. In this paper, analysis of fly ash samples from three power plants is carried out, the enrichment and concentration of trace elements, Pb, Zn, Cu and As, in coal ashes are analyzed, and petrological and mineralogical characteristics and chemical compositions of coal ashes are studied. [Objectives] To increase the survival rate of tissue culture seedlings of Dendrobium officinale,and optimize the conditions of rooting medium by the response surface methodology( RSM). [Methods]The effects of 6-BA concentration,NAA concentration,potato amount and the amount of mashed banana on the growth of seedlings were determined by single factor experiment and were analyzed by Box-Behnken design and response surface methodology. [Results]The optimal culture conditions: rooting medium 1/2 MS + 6-BA 0. 24 mg/L + mashed banana 87. 63 g/L + potato 89. 30 g/L + NAA 0. 52 mg/L + sucrose 20. 0 g/L + activated carbon 4. 0 g/L + agar 7. 0 g/L,p H 5. 8,and light intensity 2 000 Lx. [Conclusions]The model established by response surface methodology has a good predictability and could be used to optimize the conditions of tissue culture and rooting medium of D. officinale. 展开更多

农田裂隙优先流对灌水模式/初始墒情响应机制及其模拟研究

农田灌溉管理过程中优先流降低水肥利用效率,加剧地下水污染风险。基于碘化钾-淀粉染色示踪试验,分析了地面灌DM、微喷灌WP1(20 mm/h)、微喷灌WP2(40 mm/h)处理下的裂隙优先流特征,验证了基于水量平衡的双域渗透模型的有效性,并采用4组... 农田灌溉管理过程中优先流降低水肥利用效率,加剧地下水污染风险。基于碘化钾-淀粉染色示踪试验,分析了地面灌DM、微喷灌WP1(20 mm/h)、微喷灌WP2(40 mm/h)处理下的裂隙优先流特征,验证了基于水量平衡的双域渗透模型的有效性,并采用4组初始体积含水率(0.20、0.25、0.30、0.35 cm^(3)/cm^(3))与5组灌水强度(12.0、24.0、36.0、48.0、60.0mm/h)旋转组合设计进行模拟应用分析。结果表明,WP1、WP2处理整体上水分以均匀的基质流形式入渗;DM处理下的土壤剖面染色区域在垂直方向上可明显划分为基质流区(0~6.9 cm)和优先流区(>6.9 cm)。此外,DM处理下的基质流深度、灌水均匀度显著(P<0.05)小于WP1、WP2处理,而其优先流指数及湿润锋弯曲度均极显著大于(P<0.01)WP1、WP2处理,这表明地面灌可以激活更多的优先流路径,增大优先流发育程度和空间异质性,降低灌水质量。基于水量平衡的双域渗透模型可有效预测不同灌水强度下的基质流深度和土壤剖面染色面积比变化趋势(R2≥0.9276、NSE≥0.8844、RSR≤0.0230),初始体积含水率和灌水强度旋转组合设计模拟结果表明,增加灌水强度或减小初始含水率会增加优先流的程度而降低灌水质量,故建议在农田灌溉管理过程中采用“高频少量”的灌水模式以减少优先流导致的水肥利用效率降低。该研究成果可为农田灌溉决策提供理论依据,其试验数据可为优先流模型优化与验证提供重要的数据支撑。 展开更多
