The Practical Path of Labor Curriculum in Compulsory Education in China from the Perspective of Overlapping Influence Domain Theory

Since the new curriculum reform,labor education has gradually shed its marginalized position in the“five educations,”and the labor curriculum has become an independent course officially separated from comprehensive practical activity courses.Exploring the practical path of labor curriculum in compulsory education in China has become the primary task of labor education in China.Based on the practical situation of labor curriculum in compulsory education in China,drawing on the theory of overlapping influence domains,and from the perspective of collaborative education among family,school,and community,this paper proposes a curriculum practical path of“school-led”family-school-community collaboration and a curriculum practical path guided by“student-centered”sentiment,in order to provide references for the practice of labor curriculum in compulsory education in China. 展开更多

The Effect of Expected Lifetime Income on Students' Human Capital Investment Decision-making after Nine-year Compulsory Education

Using data from duo-teacher program, I use the mixed logit model and nested logit model to estimate the effect of expected lifetime income on students' human capital investment decision-making after nine-year compulsory education. The result of the mixed logit model shows that one percentage point increase of expected lifetime income will increase students' 3.98 percentage points' probability of choosing corresponding choice, while the nested logit model shows the marginal effect of 4.38. Fathers' educaiton, family income and students' academic performance have significantly positive effect of students' choice probalitiy of going to normal high school and accepting secondary vocational education, which is consistent with the previous literature. 展开更多

The Regulation on the Education of Persons with Disabilities, which came into effect in 2017, stipulates for the first time disabled children’s right to individualized education, clarifies the subjects who determine and influence the individualized education that disabled children receive, and determines the procedures for disabled children to receive individualized education. However, compared to the subjects that determine disabled children’s right to individualized education and procedural provisions as stipulated in the U.S. laws such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 1990, the Regulation on the Education of Persons with Disabilities in China has some problems, including inadequate participation of disabled children and their parents and incomplete relief settlement mechanism. China should further improve the legal provisions relating to disabled children’s right to individualized education, and safeguard the right of participation and the right to relief of disabled children and their parents. 展开更多

Educational equity is important foundation to achieve social equity and to build a harmonious society,and fiscal expenditure is an important means for the government to allocate resources. However,educational inequity is very common in China at present. Through logical analysis of the relationship between the fiscal expenditure and the educational equity in this paper,it is found that the insufficiency of total fiscal expenditure is the main reason for educational inequity at the present stage; the total fiscal expenditure on education shows positive correlation with the educational equity; the optimization degree of the structure of the fiscal expenditure on education shows positive correlation with the educational equity. Therefore,the government shall expand the scale of the fiscal expenditure on education and optimize the structure of the fiscal expenditure on education. 展开更多

This paper also compares the different human capital reserve in two area, and analyzes the under-qualified human capital reserve in rural areas is resulted by these following reasons: The shortage of public spending in compulsory education for several decades has contributed to low school attendance and the great illiteracy beyond urban areas; the inefficient educational system has caused peasants to lose interest in education; No support for adult education has closed the doors for adults to earn money in non-agricultural industries. Vocational schools cannot attract the huge number of potential customers since their curricula and skills are out of date. 当前集团化办学是地方推进义务教育优质均衡发展的重要途径。但目前对集团化办学是否能促进优质资源共享和薄弱学校学生学业成绩提升尚有争议。因此,有必要对集团化办学的整体成效进行评估。本研究利用2023年华中师范大学课题组4省份调... 当前集团化办学是地方推进义务教育优质均衡发展的重要途径。但目前对集团化办学是否能促进优质资源共享和薄弱学校学生学业成绩提升尚有争议。因此,有必要对集团化办学的整体成效进行评估。本研究利用2023年华中师范大学课题组4省份调研数据,探讨了集团化办学对学生学业成绩的影响。研究发现:第一,集团化办学对受援学校学生的学业成绩有显著促进作用,受援学校学生学业成绩增值主要来源于教师教学质量的改善;第二,集团化办学对不同受援学校的学生群体学业成绩的影响具有异质性,对初中生及弱势家庭学生的学业成绩影响更大;第三,集团化办学不仅可以提升受援学校学生学业成绩,而且对援助学校学生学业成绩也有积极影响,集团化办学的效果是“互惠共生”而不是“此消彼长”。研究建议应坚持集团化办学的政策导向,不断完善相关政策保障机制,建立教师学习发展共同体,促进集团校共同发展。 展开更多
