The key to the integral practicability and aesthetics is the emphasis on the integrality of spatial logical order of those two factors, which contains the integral harmony of function attributes, scale, logics, and modal relationships and so on. Purpose:This paper presents the ARQUIGRAFIA project,an open,public and nonprofit,continuous growth web collaborative environment dedicated to Brazilian architectural photographic images.Design/methodology/approach:The...Purpose:This paper presents the ARQUIGRAFIA project,an open,public and nonprofit,continuous growth web collaborative environment dedicated to Brazilian architectural photographic images.Design/methodology/approach:The ARQUIGRAFIA project promotes the active and collaborative participation among its institutional users(GLAMs,NGOs,laboratories and research groups)and private users(students,professionals,professors,researchers),both can create an account and share their digitized iconographic collections in the same Web environment by uploading their files,indexing,georeferencing and assigning a Creative Commons license.Findings:The development of users interactions by means of semantic differentials impressions recording on visible plastic-spatial aspects of the architectures in synthetic infographics,as well as by the retrieval of images through an advanced system search based on those impressions parameters.By gamification means,the system often invites users to review images’in order to improve images’data accuracy.The pilot project named Open Air Museum that allows users to add audio descriptions to images in situ.An interface for users’digital curatorship will be soon available.Research limitations:The ARQUIGRAFIA’s multidisciplinary team gathering professorsresearchers,graduate and undergraduate students from the Architecture and Urbanism,Design,Information Science,Computer Science faculties of the University of S?o Paulo,demands continuous financial resources for grants,for contracting third party services,for the participation in scientific events in Brazil and abroad,and for equipment.Since 2016,significant budget cuts in the University of S?o Paulo own research funds and in Brazilian federal scientific agencies can compromise the continuity of this project.Practical implications:The open source template called+GRAFIA that can freely help other areas of knowledge to build their own visual Web collaborative environments.Originality/value:The collaborative nature of the ARQUIGRAFIA distinguishes it from institutional image databases on the internet,precisely because it involves a heterogeneous network of collaborators.展开更多

In that sense, the primary objective of this study is to examine the Core Concepts and Forms of traditional architecture, as well as their cultural connotations, in three regions of Saudi Arabia: the central, eastern, and western regions. Non-participant observation, ethnographic, and descriptive approaches were used in the study, which was based on a multi-dimensional comparative observational model. It was determined that the traditional Saudi built environment relied on forty Core Concepts and Forms that were divided into four categories: constant, semi-constant, semi-flexible, and flexible core forms to regulate the production process and maintain its continuity over centuries.展开更多

Our objective was to collect data on genotype and pheno...Using newly developed methods and software, association mapping was conducted for chromium content and total sugar in tobacco leaf, based on four-omics datasets. Our objective was to collect data on genotype and phenotype for 60 leaf samples at four developmental stages, from three plant architectural positions and for three cultivars that were grown in two locations. Association mapping was conducted to detect genetic variants at quantitative trait SNP(QTS) loci, quantitative trait transcript(QTT) differences,quantitative trait protein(QTP) variability, and quantitative trait metabolite(QTM) changes,which can be summarized as QTX locus variation. The total heritabilities of the four-omics loci for both traits tested were 23.60% for epistasis and 15.26% for treatment interaction.Epistasis and environment × treatment interaction had important impacts on complex traits at all-omics levels. For decreasing chromium content and increasing total sugar in tobacco leaf, six methylated loci can be directly used for marker-assisted selection, and expression of ten QTTs, seven QTPs and six QTMs can be modified by selection or cultivation.展开更多
Moving humans,agents,and subjects bring many challenges to robot self‐localisation and environment perception.To adapt to dynamic environments,SLAM researchers typically apply several deep learning image segmentation...Moving humans,agents,and subjects bring many challenges to robot self‐localisation and environment perception.To adapt to dynamic environments,SLAM researchers typically apply several deep learning image segmentation models to eliminate these moving obstacles.However,these moving obstacle segmentation methods cost too much computation resource for the onboard processing of mobile robots.In the current industrial environment,mobile robot collaboration scenario,the noise of mobile robots could be easily found by on‐board audio‐sensing processors and the direction of sound sources can be effectively acquired by sound source estimation algorithms,but the distance estimation of sound sources is difficult.However,in the field of visual perception,the 3D structure information of the scene is relatively easy to obtain,but the recognition and segmentation of moving objects is more difficult.To address these problems,a novel vision‐audio fusion method that combines sound source localisation methods with a visual SLAM scheme is proposed,thereby eliminating the effect of dynamic obstacles on multi‐agent systems.Several heterogeneous robots experiments in different dynamic scenes indicate very stable self‐localisation and environment reconstruction performance of our method.展开更多
The creation of national energy strategy cannot proceed without accurate projections of future electricity consumption;this is because EC is intimately tied to other forms of energy,such as oil and natural gas.For the...The creation of national energy strategy cannot proceed without accurate projections of future electricity consumption;this is because EC is intimately tied to other forms of energy,such as oil and natural gas.For the purpose of determining and bettering overall energy consumption,there is an urgent requirement for accurate monitoring and calculation of EC at the building level using cutting-edge technology such as data analytics and the internet of things(IoT).Soft computing is a subset of AI that tries to design procedures that are more accurate and reliable,and it has proven to be an effective tool for solving a number of issues that are associated with the use of energy.The use of soft computing for energy prediction is an essential part of the solution to these kinds of challenges.This study presents an improved version of the Harris Hawks Optimization model by combining it with the IHHODL-ECP algorithm for use in Internet of Things settings.The IHHODL-ECP model that has been supplied acts as a useful instrument for the prediction of integrated energy consumption.In order for the raw electrical data to be compatible with the subsequent processing in the IHHODL-ECP model,it is necessary to perform a preprocessing step.The technique of prediction uses a combination of three different kinds of deep learning models,namely DNN,GRU,and DBN.In addition to this,the IHHO algorithm is used as a technique for making adjustments to the hyperparameters.The experimental result analysis of the IHHODL-ECP model is carried out under a variety of different aspects,and the comparison inquiry highlighted the advantages of the IHHODL-ECP model over other present approaches.According to the findings of the experiments conducted with an hourly time resolution,the IHHODL-ECP model obtained a MAPE value of 33.85,which was lower than those produced by the LR,LSTM,and CNN-LSTM models,which had MAPE values of 83.22,44.57,and 34.62 respectively.These findings provided evidence of the IHHODL-ECP model’s improved ability to provide accurate forecasts.展开更多

Nuclear energy driven magnetic confinement via donut shape device known as Tokamak,a toroidal apparatus,for producing controlled fusion reactions in hot plasma,was originally suggested as a basic yet more promising fu...Nuclear energy driven magnetic confinement via donut shape device known as Tokamak,a toroidal apparatus,for producing controlled fusion reactions in hot plasma,was originally suggested as a basic yet more promising fusion reactor.Today the more innovative version of this apparatus that is known as an ITER(international thermonuclear experimental reactor)shows a way toward MCF(magnetic confinement fusion)of hot plasma goal by satisfying Lawson’s Criteria to some degree of achievement.However,since this fusion driven reactor of hot plasma needs to operate at almost 150 million Celsius,the internal material of this reactor is a matter of concern for scientists that are involved with its fabrication.Uniqueness of nanomaterials from the point of view of physical and chemical properties is suggested as a possible potential application for this special and innovative reactor for a nuclear fusion device.Convergence of nanotechnology in study of new generation of materials of this kind can shape the path for various technological developments and a large variety of disciplines,including MCF driven plasma of hot fusion as well.This short TM(technical memorandum)written by these two authors will cover this aspect of technology in a holistic way and the more granular level is left to the reader of this TM to investigate further.展开更多

文摘With the aid of the research method of land landscape,on the basis of briefly analyzing the construction process of regional traditional living environment in Jingzhou,a hierarchical analysis of the regional landscape system was carried out from the aspects of natural landscape,water conservancy construction,agricultural production and urban construction,and the overall pattern of traditional living environment landscape system in Jingzhou was summarized to provide new ideas for the exploration of landscape system.In view of the many problems in the current urban development of Jingzhou,the enlightenment of traditional human settlement experience and wisdom in Jingzhou to the current urban construction of Jingzhou was summarized to provide an example reference for building a living environment that integrates mountains,water and a city.
文摘Architecture is an indispensable part of the development of human civilization and the carrier of human civilization.The evolution of architectural style can also reflect the development of a nation.With the continuous development of history,the preservation and development of historic sites has gradually become a topic of common concern in China and the west.However,with the continuous development of modern technology,there are fewer and fewer traditional cultural elements in the newly-built buildings,which lead to the gradual loss of some traditional architectural culture.In order to avoid the further aggravation of this phenomenon,something should be done.From the perspective of the development characteristics of Chinese and western architectural culture,the characteristics and differences of the development process of Chinese and western architecture were listed from ancient to modern times,and gradually the main reasons for the different development directions and characteristics were analyzed.In addition,according to the law and characteristics of the development of Chinese and western architecture,some methods on how to solve the inheritance of Chinese modern architecture to traditional culture were put forward.

文摘Nuclear energy driven magnetic confinement via donut shape device known as Tokamak,a toroidal apparatus,for producing controlled fusion reactions in hot plasma,was originally suggested as a basic yet more promising fusion reactor.Today the more innovative version of this apparatus that is known as an ITER(international thermonuclear experimental reactor)shows a way toward MCF(magnetic confinement fusion)of hot plasma goal by satisfying Lawson’s Criteria to some degree of achievement.However,since this fusion driven reactor of hot plasma needs to operate at almost 150 million Celsius,the internal material of this reactor is a matter of concern for scientists that are involved with its fabrication.Uniqueness of nanomaterials from the point of view of physical and chemical properties is suggested as a possible potential application for this special and innovative reactor for a nuclear fusion device.Convergence of nanotechnology in study of new generation of materials of this kind can shape the path for various technological developments and a large variety of disciplines,including MCF driven plasma of hot fusion as well.This short TM(technical memorandum)written by these two authors will cover this aspect of technology in a holistic way and the more granular level is left to the reader of this TM to investigate further.
