Presently China mainly relies on the low cost of production factors and introducing advanced foreign technology to create an international competitive edge.Thepresent foreign trade growth mode,which is charaterized of quantitative expansion,labor-intensive and low prices,low e ciency,unsustained,is facing lots ofdifficulties.The problems such as the worsening terms of trade,the huge trade surplus,too much dependence on foreign trade,the rising prices of production factors,difficulties in the introduction of high technology,excessive consumption of resources,environmental pressures exacerbated the situations.Therefore,China mustadopt effective measures into a sustained and high efficiency foreign trade growth mode,which is supposed to be described as optimization of export commoditystructure,market diversification,mainly relying on independent innovation and independent brands,promoting trade with science and technology,rationaliztion ofindustrial structure,focusing on high added value.

Exploring the moderating role of financial development in environmental Kuznets curve for South Africa:fresh evidence from the novel dynamic ARDL simulations approach

The extant literature has produced mixed evidence on the relationship between finan-cial development and ecological sustainability.This work addresses this conundrum by investigating financial development’s direct and indirect consequences on ecologi-cal quality utilizing the environmental Kuznets curve(EKC)methodological approach.Our empirical analysis is based on the novel dynamic autoregressive distributed lag simulations approach for South Africa between 1960 and 2020.The results,which used five distinct financial development measures,demonstrate that financial develop-ment boosts ecological integrity and environmental sustainability over the long and short terms.In the instance of South Africa,we additionally confirm the validity of the EKC theory.More importantly,the outcomes of the indirect channels demonstrate that financial development increases energy usage’s role in causing pollution while attenuating the detrimental impacts of economic growth,trade openness,and foreign direct investment on ecological quality.Moreover,the presence of an inadequate financial system is a requirement for the basis of the pollution haven hypothesis(PHH),which we examine using trade openness and foreign direct investment variables.PHH for both of these variables disappears when financial development crosses specified thresholds.Finally,industrial value addition destroys ecological quality while tech-nological innovation enhances it.This research provides some crucial policy recom-mendations and fresh perspectives for South Africa as it develops national initiatives to support ecological sustainability and reach its net zero emissions goal.

本文基于中国近代出口与近现代铁路建设的历史经验,探讨国际贸易与交通基础设施对区域经济长期增长的综合影响。理论与实证研究发现:近代出口贸易与铁路建设均能够显著促进区域人口长期增长,两者的影响具有替代性,该替代性在邻近历史口岸或较早开通铁路的地区相对较强。进一步分析表明,铁路一方面能够提升贸易区位劣势地区的企业出口参与度,另一方面能够促使出口福利空间溢出,增强贸易区位劣势地区对劳动力迁移的吸引力,从而对出口贸易的影响起到替代性作用。本文的研究结论揭示了交通基础设施在国际贸易的资源空间配置效应中发挥的重要作用,为当今中国统筹对外开放布局优化与国内市场一体化、推动区域经济协调发展提供了参考。

自由贸易试验区对所属区域经济增长的影响--基于川渝地区的“反事实”分析

自由贸易试验区的成立对所属区域经济增长有着重要的经济意义。以川渝地区为例,利用2008年第一季度至2019年第二季度全国省域样本的GDP季度增长率、进口额、出口额及固定资产投资额数据进行合成控制,对自贸试验区的经济效应进行反事实分析。结果显示:自由贸易试验区的成立促进了川渝地区经济增长,但该影响具有异质性。对四川而言,贸易驱动对经济增长的影响较投资驱动更加显著;对重庆而言,投资驱动大于贸易驱动,且自由贸易试验区成立的经济效应具有一定的滞后性。

广东省对外贸易与经济增长关系的实证分析

当前,全球一体化与经济全球化已经是时代的主旋律,随着国际分工的深入,中国等几个重要的国家已经把对外贸易放在了其发展的核心位置,外贸已逐步成为推动中国发展的一个重要力量。广东省作为中国的第一外贸大省,经济实力雄厚。因此,本文以广东省为视角,研究了广东省的对外贸易与经济增长的现状,根据广东省主要经济指标的具体数据,建立VAR计量经济模型,对广东省外贸与经济增长关系进行了深入研究,有针对性地提出了促进广东省经济发展的政策建议。

中国省域外贸竞争力测度、区域差异及时空演变

新发展格局下,探究省域外贸竞争力的地区差异与时空演变,对促进外贸区域协调发展具有重要意义。文章通过建立中国省域外贸竞争力综合评价体系,对2013—2021年中国东部、中部和西部地区30个省、自治区、直辖市的外贸竞争力进行测度与分析。研究发现:2013—2021年,我国省域外贸竞争力不断提升,但省际差距较大,马太效应显著;东部地区与西部地区之间的外贸竞争力差距最大,中部地区与西部地区之间的外贸竞争力差距最小;东部、中部、西部地区区域内部均存在中心区域引领其他区域对外贸易发展的情况;东部、西部地区区域内部外贸竞争力均存在轻微的两极分化现象;省域外贸竞争力在空间上呈正相关性,且以低水平集聚为主。

Development of Pilot Free Trade Zones and Regional Economic Growth in China:Comparison on the Conducting Paths and Dynamic Mechanisms

This study discusses the effect and the dynamic mechanism of free trade zone(FTZ)development promoting regional economic growth in China from the perspective of institutional innovation,and finds as follows.(1)The identification process based on difference-in-differences(DID)testing and Bayesian information criterion(BIC)indicates that the institutional innovation of FTZs not only drives regional economic growth,but acts as one of the core factors among the many drivers.(2)The rapid development of investment and trade,as the primal core function of FTZs,is an important dynamic factor for FTZs to promote regional economic growth.It means in the macro-context of lasting and repeated China-U.S.trade frictions,FTZ development should refer to the practice of China(Shanghai)Pilot Free Trade Zone and China(Zhejiang)Pilot Free Trade Zone in aligning to high-standard investment and trade criteria,return to the origin of free trade,and actively seek policy support in improving trade openness and investment facilitation.(3)With the synthetic control method used,the study finds a wide gap in the“experimental effect”of setting up FTZs in different areas.The effect is better in coastal FTZs than in inland ones,and FTZs established later usually have less noticeable effect.On this account,FTZs in China should be positioned differently based on their characteristics of location and endowment;featured development modes should be explored to reduce homogeneous competition;development of coastal and inland FTZs should be balanced and coordinated.

中国对外贸易高质量发展背景下价格贸易条件波动对经济增长影响的实证分析

对外贸易是推动国民经济高速发展的重要力量。价格贸易条件作为贸易条件中的一种重要形式,其波动会在一定程度上从侧面反映出一个国家抵御国际贸易冲击的能力。基于“十四五”期间政府提出的对外贸易高质量发展的基本要求,通过价格贸易条件波动来探究归纳出对外进出口贸易规模、对外进出口贸易对中国经济增长、健康发展的重要影响,由此得出对外贸易高质量发展,要在兼顾商品质量和出口规模的同时,还需要最大限度考虑好贸易结构效率问题。最后提出中国在对外贸易高质量发展建设的需求方面的对策建议,持续实施创新驱动发展的既定国家战略,扩大内需改善国内产业结构,扩大资源性产品进口来促进发展。

“一带一路”背景下新疆对外贸易开放度测算与提升路径研究

新疆作为中国西部地区的重要经济枢纽,对外贸易开放度的提升对于促进地区经济发展、加强国际合作具有重要意义。本文通过对新疆对外贸易开放度的测算与分析,探讨提升新疆对外贸易开放度的路径。首先,从新疆对外贸易的现状出发,分析了新疆对外贸易的基本情况;其次,运用相关统计数据和指标,对新疆对外贸易开放度进行量化测算,分析新疆对外贸易的发展现状和存在的问题;最后,文章提出新疆对外贸易开放度的具体路径和措施,以期为新疆地区对外贸易的持续发展提供参考和借鉴。研究认为,新疆应加快新质生产力的建设,优化对外贸易结构,加强国际合作与交流,以促进对外贸易的健康快速发展。

对外贸易的区域创新促进作用研究——基于经济水平的门槛效应分析

创新是社会发展的第一动力,在不同经济发展水平下创新路径理应有所不同。在“拿来主义”难以为继、“原始创新”相对薄弱的现实情况下,分析对外贸易如何有效提高区域创新能力显得尤为重要。为此,本文基于双重固定面板回归模型,并运用门槛回归的分析方法,从地市级层面分析验证了在不同经济发展水平下对外贸易对区域创新的差异化促进作用,同时,本文还从政府支出增加和企业利润增长的视角进一步验证了其作用机制。

RCEP背景下广西进出口贸易的现状及发展建议——以广西梧州为例

作为亚太区域经济一体化建设的里程碑式成果,《区域全面经济伙伴关系协定》(RCEP)实施两年以来,区域贸易成本大幅降低,产业链、供应链联系更加紧密,为地区经济一体化和发展繁荣注入强劲动力。本文通过对RCEP签署前后广西梧州与RCEP成员国之间进出口贸易相关情况进行分析,提出梧州在实施RCEP中外贸进出口呈现的特点和问题,最后在加强宣传培训、搭建更多国际经贸交流合作平台、加快构建RCEP产业集聚公共服务平台、争取各方政策支持及紧盯大宗商品进口等方面提出具体的发展建议,以供参考。

都市圈空间结构与对外贸易高质量发展——来自长江三角洲的证据

本文基于2011—2019年我国长江三角洲地区六大都市圈34个地级城市数据,借鉴以往学界对外贸易高质量发展的研究,从贸易发展环境、贸易发展条件以及贸易发展能力三个维度出发构建城市经济高质量发展评价指标体系,并运用固定面板模型进行实证回归。研究表明:(1)都市圈多中心空间结构的形成能促进都市圈对外贸易质量,且这种促进作用具有空间异质性;(2)从异质性角度出发,这种促进作用对于经济基础较好的都市圈更加明显,对于经济基础较差的都市圈并不显著;(3)从影响机制出发,产业结构合理化对都市圈空间结构多中心化带来的对外贸易高质量发展具有一定的促进作用。
