One kind of scheme in Hotel Guest Room Service and Management System based on CAN bus is presented. The system's structure and main function are expounded. The work principle and design of the system's hardware and software are explained. The realization of the system's hardware and software is detailed from aspects of improving system's anti-jamming and fault self-examined capability, and the block diagram of each part's circuit is given. Finally, features of the system are summarized, and a comparison with the system based on RS485 was made to prove the advantages of the system. By practice, CAN bus in the system can transmit data steadily and reliably.展开更多

This paper takes Cobb-Douglas production function as the theoretical framework. Spatial Moran index of autocorrelation, Spatial Lag Model(SLM) and Spatial Error Model(SEM) are used to analyze the star-rated hotels labor productivity of 31 provincial regions in China's Mainland based on the star-rated hotels statistical data of year 2016. The spatial correlation and spatial difference of the star-rated hotels labor productivity is discussed. This paper studies the impact of three factors on spatial characteristics of star-rated hotels labor productivity in China's Mainland. The econometric estimation results show that:(1) Star-rated hotels labor productivity present significant spatial dependence and spatial difference in China's Mainland.(2) The estimation results of Ordinary least Squares(OLS) are reliable.(3) The reliability of the results obtained by the Spatial Error Model(SEM) analysis is the highest, and has a stronger explanatory power to the spatial relationship of star-rated hotels labor productivity in China's Mainland. The average room occupancy rate has more influence on the labor productivity of the provincial star-rated hotels than the impact of capital and labor.展开更多

The prediction of the Baidu index for tourism demand has been increasingly focused on by scholars.However,few studies have evaluated the predictive power of the Baidu index for hotel guest arrivals in fine granularity...The prediction of the Baidu index for tourism demand has been increasingly focused on by scholars.However,few studies have evaluated the predictive power of the Baidu index for hotel guest arrivals in fine granularity at the micro level.Taking Guilin as a case study,we use the OLS regression method to quantitatively investigate the forecasting power of the Baidu index for daily hotel guest arrivals and to comprehensively evaluate the performance of the forecasting model and to optimize the forecasting model by deeply mining the hidden characteristics of tourism flow in a special case study.The contributions of this papermainly have threefold:first,to the best of our knowledge,based on the actual full-example of daily hotel guest check-in data in fine granularity,we evaluated the predictive power of the Baidu index by comparison of 5 forecasting models for the first time.Second,we proposed two metrics for forecasting:the trend forecasting index and the forecasting stability index.Finally,we introduce a kind of punishment strategy to optimize forecasting models based on the potential pattern of research objects.展开更多

Buckybowl structures as non-uniform electrostatic potential distributions of poly-cyclic aromatic materials show a unique photoelectric performance.In this work,OTC was utilized for dynamic modulation of triplet excit...Buckybowl structures as non-uniform electrostatic potential distributions of poly-cyclic aromatic materials show a unique photoelectric performance.In this work,OTC was utilized for dynamic modulation of triplet exciton transition processes.Five host molecules with different functional units were selected,thus providing dif-ferent intermolecular interactions in the host/guest systems.Therefore,the delayed emissions were regulated from 536 to 624 nm via the tuning of the triplet exciton transition processes of OTC in different hosts.Experimental data and theoretical calculations revealed that the varied triplet transition behaviors resulted from the competition between the intersystem crossing(ISC)process of OTC-monomer and the reverse intersystem crossing(RISC)process of OTC-aggregates.This work proves the superior structure of buckybowl-based luminophore for controlling triplet exciton transition processes and supplies a new perspective for persistent afterglow luminophore design.展开更多

The objectives of the research were to ascertain the categories of service failures commonly experienced by guests and asse...This paper examines service failures in 3- to 5-star hotels in the Accra Metropolis in Ghana. The objectives of the research were to ascertain the categories of service failures commonly experienced by guests and assess guests' level of dissatisfaction with the service failures. Descriptive survey design using critical incident questionnaires (CIQ) was used to collect data from a purposive sample of 174 guests who experienced service failures in ten 3- to 5-star hotels. The data were analyzed using SPSS. The most dominant service failures experienced by guests were service system failures, such as unavailable/irregular service and defective products, occurring mostly in the housekeeping departments. With the revelation of potential service failures experienced by guests and their effect on guests, this study offers suggestions to managers to revamp some policies to curtail some service failures and improve service delivery. This study contributes to the literature on service failure in the context of a developing country.展开更多
