Analysis of Family Education Differences between China and America under Cross-Cultural Perspective

Family education refers to the influence of parents on children's growth and development in the process of family interaction,and it is an important part of the whole educational cause.The differences in the purpose,content and mode of family education between China and the United States are mainly determined by three factors:history,culture,values and social conditions.This paper will make a comparative analysis of the differences and their causes in family education between China and the United States from three aspects:the purpose,content and mode of family education,which will help to eliminate misunderstandings in the process of intercultural communication and provide some enlightenment for family education between China and the United States.

The Educational Differences between China and America

Nowadays, with the fast development of science and technology in China, there is an increasing number of people going to study abroad (taking America as an example). For one hand, they want to get a better educational background to have a more promising career in the future. For the other, they want to change the way of getting knowledge, because they think the Chinese educational system still has a lot to be improved. With such tendency, more people are looking forward to an article that has a thorough analysis to reveal the educational differences between China and America from couple of aspects. It elaborates the educational differences in many ways with authentic research then comes to an analytic conclusion on what we can do to make a contribution to the Chinese educational system as a graduate student.

The Difference between Chinese and American Higher Education System

This paper describes the differences between the Chinese and American higher education system, and different issues behind these differences along with history and contemporary complexities, and analyzes the reason of its emergence, then how to solve these issues. I studied at Iowa Wesleyan College in America for two and a half years. In order to further understand American higher education system, I interviewed a librarian of Iowa Wesleyan College named Sherril Gibbs. And I have used a lot of data of the department of education USA government from Wikipedia and other sources in my paper. Then this paper finds that Chinese and American higher education system has their own strengths and weaknesses. Both the systems have a need to learn from each other to execute a better education system and to ensure development of all students as per their interest and abilities.

Influencing Factors of Long-Term Residence Intention of Highly Educated Inter-Provincial and Intra-Provincial Floating Population From the Perspective of Social Integration:Take Guangdong Province for Example

Floating population plays an important role in the development of cities,regions,and countries.The economic growth path with Guangdong characteristics is inseparable from the support of highly educated groups.Studying the long-term residence intention of the highly educated floating population is helpful for the city to attract and retain talents.From the perspective of social integration,using CMDS 2017 data and taking Guangdong Province for example,this paper studies the influencing factors of long-term residence intention through SPSS logistic regression,taking intra-provincial and inter-provincial floating population with a bachelor’s degree or above as sample.The main conclusions are:(1)Marital and childbearing status is the primitive influencing factor of long-term residence intention among intra-provincial and inter-provincial floating population.Samples with high income,under social insurance system,being female and having non-agricultural hukou,are tend to prefer long-term residence.Samples who connect with the locals and participate in social public welfare are more likely to stay.(2)Personal age and city livability have a significant positive impact on the long-term residence intention of the inter-provincial highly educated floating population,but agricultural hukou and self-employed laborer status will weaken the long-term residence intention of this group.(3)Participation in townsmen/alumni association has a positive effect on the long-term residence intention of the intra-provincial highly educated floating population,and connection with outlanders also promotes the long-term residence intention of this group.(4)The long-term residence intention of inter-provincial highly educated floating population is usually based on reality,therefore they pay more attention to the development,changes,and livability of the destination city.However,the long-term residence intention of intra-provincial highly educated floating population is usually based on perception,so they pay more attention to whether they like the city.Compared with intra-provincial flows,inter-provincial flows have higher economic and emotional migration costs,more institutional barriers,and more life adaptation problems.Therefore,the government should introduce targeted measures to promote social integration and improve long-term residence intention.

The Employment Problem of Doctoral Students in China

Thanks to the rapid growth of total economic output, the need for high-level manpower is increasing, which has provided an good opportunity for the rapid development of doctoral education in China. China's doctoral education started in 1978, when the first batch of 18 doctoral students were enrolled. In 1981, China began to implement a formal degree system, the second year, the first batch of six doc-toral students were granted Ph.D. degree. At present, China has more than 300 colleges and universities which have the right to authorize a doctorate, while the United States only has 253. So far China has cultivated more than 50,000 Ph.D. and become the largest country in the world in Ph.D. Cultivation.

以国家智慧教育平台为抓手,赋能高校课堂数字化转型,落实立德树人根本任务,提高人才培养质量,是高等教育改革发展的新方向。顺应国家教育数字化战略行动,围绕高校课堂数字化转型“为何转”“转什么”“如何转”三个核心问题开展理论研究,分析高校课堂数字化转型的价值旨归,厘清高校课堂数字化转型的要素流转,明晰国家智慧教育平台赋能高校课堂数字化转型的逻辑理路。然后,以学习理论和教学理论为指导进行实践探析,提出国家智慧教育平台赋能高校课堂数字化转型的教学设计方法,即教学目标科学化定制、教学内容动态化供给、教学活动弹性化调整、教学评价智能化开展;并构建具体实施路径,即转变课堂教学观念、关注数字素养提升、凸显数字技术赋能、注重实践融合创新。在此基础上,结合高校一流课程建设的教学现实,提出国家智慧教育平台赋能高校课堂数字化转型的关键要点:强化思政融入,数智赋能育人育才;深化“两性一度”,数实融合变革课堂;注重可持续发展,数字驱动终身成长。

中国式现代化背景下西部农村学前教育高质量发展的困境与纾解

西部农村学前教育高质量发展对建设教育强国、推进中国式现代化具有重要意义。理论上,中国式现代化从普惠性教育、整体性思维、内涵式发展、共生型主张、前瞻性布局五个维度为农村学前教育高质量发展指明了方向。实践上,通过对我国西部70所农村幼儿园的大规模调研发现,在中国式现代化进程中,我国学前教育整体取得了跨越式发展,但西部农村学前教育仍面临规模与质量协同的“困顿”、教育资源供给与需求的“错配”、园本课程特色与底色的“迷失”、教师专业发展能动与被动的“纠葛”、教育督导与评估机制的“乏力”等困境。为此,有必要建立“量质并举”的教育质量观,顺应人口变动,合理调控教育资源,坚持乡土特色与课程底色并重,构建以教师为核心的“1+3+N”育人新格局,加强数字化教育质量评估体系建设。

中美数字人文教育对比研究

通过对中美两国数字人文教育的比较分析,总结美国的成功经验,找出我国在数字人文教育发展中面临的问题,并提出推进我国数字人文教育发展的建议。通过系统梳理中美数字人文教育在参与主体、教育模式、课程设置、基础设施、质量保障等方面的异同,指出目前我国在数字人文教育方面存在的一些问题,如统筹协调有待加强、课程教学相对单一、数字资源建设滞后、质量评估机制不健全等,并提出了一系列经验与对策建议。对深化中美两国数字人文教育的交流合作,推进我国教学改革,提升人才培养质量,具有重要的理论价值和实践意义。

中外混合式教学质量评价标准比较研究

混合式教学因利用现代信息技术,突破传统教学时空限制,融合线上线下教学优势,已成为高校课堂教学的主流模式之一。传统课堂教学评价不能完全适用于混合式教学,新的评价体系亟需构建。本文旨在介绍中外三个较有影响力的评价标准,比较三者之间的异同。研究结果发现中外三个标准因用途不同导致部分评价指标存在差异:两个外方标准主要用于常规教学检查,重在评估课程建设过程中的教学细节,以此体现以学生为中心的教学理念;中方标准主要用于遴选,重在评估混合式教学的效果,聚焦课程特色和价值以此鼓励各高校积极参与教学改革。研究结果可为我国高校制定重在过程评估的混合式教学评价标准提供参考,亦可为外语界构建与其专业特点相适配的混合式教学评价标准提供启示。

高水平教育对外开放视域下来华留学生奖学金政策转型的困境、逻辑与进路

来华留学生教育是构建高水平教育对外开放格局的关键组成部分,但相关奖学金政策亟须转型。基于对来华留学生奖学金政策结构、类型和功能的研判,并结合对国内外多个城市的实地调查和经验研究,分析提出奖学金政策转型面临的挑战集中在发展理念、政策实施形式、政策结构、政策效益等方面。来华留学生奖学金政策转型的逻辑在于提升政策的核心议程地位、构建多元的政策主体结构、开发多样的政策工具类型、设置多元关联的政策目标。奖学金政策转型的进路如下:转变指导理念,增强服务中国式现代化的能力;开发政策新类型,拓展留学生教育新功能;搭建政策新组合,扩展政策实施单元;切实下放政策实施权,提升多元主体参与度。

2023年12月24日至25日,由中国—东盟职业教育研究中心举办的“2023中国—东盟职业教育发展论坛”在广西南宁召开。本次论坛以“集聚开放·合作创新”为主题,与会专家学者围绕中国与东盟职业教育高质量发展、职业教育国际产教融合、职业教育国际化等方面进行了深入交流研讨,并就强化职教发展模式交流互鉴、创新中国与东盟职业教育合作机制、共创职业教育国际产教融合新范式和加强职教智库合作等方面形成了广泛共识。

职业教育高水平开放合作:立意、要点和路径——以中国—东盟职业教育合作为考察对象

当前,拔尖创新人才培养成为推动教育强国目标实现的重要举措,高校作为人才培养的主阵地,肩负着“为党育人、为国育才”的使命。为适应时代发展所需,高校应积极探索创新创业教育高质量发展路径,在拔尖创新人才培养上不断发力。中国国际大学生创新大赛作为创新创业大赛的龙头赛事,对促进高校创新创业教育发展意义重大。文章结合中国国际大学生创新大赛组织情况,分析目前创新创业教育发展中存在的问题,并从“全员和全程相结合、培育和管理相结合、赛前和赛后相结合”三个方面,提出大赛视域下高校创新创业教育高质量发展的路径。
