British and American literature is the essence of culture and civilization created in the long historical development process and a bright pearl in the treasure house of world literature.Different types of civilization history,ideological history,and values can better help students understand the literary quality and ideology in various periods of Western civilization.Studying British and American literature aids students in using cross-cultural perspectives to distinguish Chinese and foreign literature and culture.Therefore,the ideological and political tasks of the curriculum are particularly prominent.This research takes a fragment of selected British and American literature as an example to analyze the paths and methods of ideological and political coordination between British and American literature and curriculum,and to explore new ways of educating students in colleges and universities using British and American literature in the new era.

The Application of Stylistics in British and American Literature Teaching

Stylistics applies modem linguistic theory to the description of and analysis into varieties of language and their stylistic features. As such it may serve to investigate the styles of British and American literary works, thus facilitating the teaching of British and American literature. Non-Pharmalogical Interventions towards Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia—An Integrated Literature Review

The objective of this integrated literature review was to identify and examine effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions towards BPSD. Database searches were documented following the PRISMA flow diagram and included papers were judged by the researchers using the SAHTAASS protocol. Coding of the papers was carried out using Polit and Beck matrix for literature review. It was concluded that several non-pharmacological interventions showed a positive influence on BPSD such as stimulating interventions, social and personalized activities and physical exercise. Also, education/training of healthcare professionals and equipment in form of a structured BPSD protocol resulted in decreased BPSD.

Evaluation of Effectiveness of Integrated Intervention Program in Improving Drug Addicts' Psychological Health

Objective To investigate the social mental state of drug addicts in a compulsive drug abuse treatment center; evaluate the effectiveness of integrated program for the prevention of abuse relapse and improvement of drug addicts＇ psychological health. Methods The study subjects were addicts from the Wuhan Compulsive Drug Abuse Treatment Center between October 2003 and June 2004, who satisfied the inclusion criteria. A non-randomized control-intervention study design was adopted. Volunteers willing to take part in intervention were put into the intervention group with their full awareness and willingness to prevent drug abuse relapse. The control group was composed of the addicts who were willing to prevent relapse and to be followed up after their discharge. Results The effectiveness of the integrated intervention program in promoting addicts＇ psychological health： before the intervention, the scores of Self-Rating Anxiety Scale （SAS）, the positive and negative dimensionalities of Simple Coping Style Questionnaire （SCSQ） and Chinese Perceived Stress Scales （CPSS） had no significant differences between the intervention group and the control group. After the intervention, except that the SCSQ＇s positive dimensionality in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group, other indices in the intervention group were lower. Before and after the intervention, the psychological health level in both the groups was lower than that in the normal population; there were significant differences between addicts and normal subjects in regards with all of the indices above. Conclusion Drug abuse was associated closely with addicts＇ social mental factors. The integrated intervention program can alleviate anxiety and stress, reduce co-morbid mental disorders and effectively improve their coping style. In conclusion, the program can promote addicts＇ psychological health significantly.

Passive Cooldown Performance of Integral Pressurized Water Reactor

The design of an integral pressurized water reactor (IPWR) focuses on enhancing the safety and reliability of the reactor by incorporating a number of inherent safety features and engineered safety features. However, the characteristics of passive safety systems for the marine reactors are quiet different from those for the land nuclear power plant because of the more formidable and dangerous operation environments of them. This paper presents results of marine black out accident analyses. In the case of a transient, the passive residual heat removal system (PRHRS) is designed to cool the reactor coolant system (RCS) from a normal operation condition to a hot shutdown condition by a natural circulation, and the shutdown cooling system (SCS) is designed to cool the primary system from a hot shutdown condition to a refueling condition by a forced circulation. A realistic calculation has been carried out by using the RELAP5/MOD3.4 code and a sensitivity analysis has been performed to evaluate a passive cooldown capability. The results of the accident analyses show that the reactor coolant system and the passive residual heat removal system adequately remove the core decay heat by a natural circulation.

Role of ESR Pathway Genes in Breast Cancer: A Review

Breast cancer is the leading cause of death in women. Prognosis of breast cancer is often pessimistic because the tumors are prone to metastasizing to the bone, brain, and lung. The estrogen signaling receptor (ESR) pathway contains 39 main genes and proteins which makes it one of the larger signaling pathways. Predominately this pathway and the proteins within are involved in breast growth and development, making it a prospective area of study for breast cancer. While the healthy ESR pathway has been constructed and is well established, a mechanistic model of mutated genes of ESR pathway has not been delved upon. Such mutated models could be utilized for selecting combinational targets for drug therapies, as well as elucidating crosstalk between other pathways and feedback mechanisms. To construct the mutated models of the ESR pathway it is imperative to assess what is currently understood in the literature and what inconsistencies exist in order to resolve them. Without this information, a model of the ESR pathway will be unreliable and likely unproductive. This review is the detailed literature survey of the biological studies performed on ESR pathways genes, and their respective roles in breast cancer. Furthermore, the details mentioned in the review can be beneficial for the integrated study of the ESR pathway genes, which includes, structural and dynamics study of the genes products, to have a holistic understanding of the cancer mechanism.

A General Analysis of Lu Xun’s Short Stories

Single Layer Centrifugation with Androcoll-E^(TM) improved progressive motility and percentage of live spermatozoa with intact acrosome of chilled stallion semen but did not have an effect on DNA integrity

A significant number of stallions produce low quality ejaculates with high sensibility to chilling. Single Layer Centrifugation (SLC) with Andro-coll-ETM has been presented as an efficient method of selecting good quality spermatozoa. In the current study, changes in sperm quality (motility, viability, acrosome integrity and DNA damage) occurring during storage at 5?C for a maximum of 72 h, were investigated. For that, one ejaculate from 12 stallions was split in two aliquots: control and SLC-selected. Both aliquots were chilled and stored at 5?C and spermatozoa were evaluated for motility, viability and acrosome integrity at 24, 48 and 72 h post collection. DNA damage was evaluated at 48 h post collection using the comet assay. In the SLC-selected aliquots, there was a significant improvement in terms of progressive motility (0 h: P = 0.005;24 h: P 0.05). SLC with Androcoll-ETM improved semen quality prolonging sperm longevity of chilled semen (P = 0.012). This positive effect was more evident in ejaculates most sensitive to chilling that had a sharp decrease in motility in the first 24 h of refrigeration and for all ejaculates at 72 h post-chilling. Therefore, this method reveals to be a useful technique for selecting spermatozoa and maintain sperm quality during storage.

新质生产力发展水平、区域差异与提升路径

2023年9月,习近平总书记在黑龙江省考察调研期间强调了“新质生产力”这一重要概念,新质生产力是创新起主导作用,摆脱传统经济增长方式、生产力发展路径,具有高科技、高效能、高质量特征,符合新发展理念的先进生产力质态。新质生产力的提出具有全新的理论内涵和丰富的现实价值,结合习近平总书记的相关重要论述和当前中国经济发展事实,文章认为新质生产力是一个至少涵盖科技、绿色和数字三大方面的集成体,并基于科技生产力、绿色生产力和数字生产力3个一级指标构建了新质生产力的综合评价体系。文章采用改进的熵权-TOPSIS方法测度了2012—2021年我国30个省级区域的新质生产力水平,测度结果表明,我国新质生产力水平由2012年的0.302 6上升到2021年的0.874 7,年均增速为21%,对应的,科技生产力、绿色生产力和数字生产力的水平也稳步上升。研究发现,针对不同区域,东部地区新质生产力水平不仅增速最快,总量也高于中西部地区,中部地区新质生产力水平高于西部地区,但增速低于西部地区;针对具体省份,新质生产力形成了广东省和江苏省“双雁领航”断层式发展格局,不同省份之间的差距极大,反映了中国新质生产力水平的区域异质性。进一步研究,Kernel密度估计和Markov链分析结果表明,一方面我国省际新质生产力水平的差距有逐渐拉大趋势,但这一趋势主要存在于个别新质生产力发达和落后的省份之间,大部分中间省份差异不明显,且新质生产力发展存在俱乐部趋同现象,新质生产力发达省份之间的趋同现象更为明显;另一方面,新质生产力发展具有明显的空间外溢效应,在与邻近省份的新质生产力水平存在差异的情况下,本省的新质生产力将会受到邻近省份的影响。新质生产力水平的基尼系数计算及其分解结果表明,区域间差异是全国新质生产力发展不平衡的主要原因,也就是说当下导致新质生产力水平差异的主要原因是地区间的发展不平衡。针对上述问题,提升新质生产力的发展路径应该着重从统筹区域联动合作促进平衡发展,加大对新质生产力发展的引导力度,在新质生产力构成的三大指标上进行新部署等方面展开。

交通碳排放研究综述::核算方法、影响因素及作用机理

交通运输业是碳减排的重要行业,关于交通碳排放核算方法、影响因素及作用机理的研究一直是交通碳排放研究领域的一个热点。本文从交通碳排放量核算方法、交通碳排放影响因素辨识、交通碳排放作用机理分析三个方面来进行综述。在交通碳排放量核算方法部分按照直接获取、“自上而下”法、“自下而上”法、机动车排放模型四种方法进行分类。在交通碳排放影响因素辨识部分从IPAT模型、Kaya恒等式、直接选取三点进行综述,并对近年学者们选取的影响因素进行了总结。在交通碳排放作用机理分析部分综述了脱钩模型、因素分解法、计量经济学方法、系统动力学方法,进而对用不同方法分析的交通碳排放作用机理进行了总结,其中Tapio脱钩模型和对数平均迪氏指数分解法是应用较为广泛的方法。最后,探讨了交通碳排放核算方法、影响因素及作用机理研究中的关键问题,指出本领域的研究难点主要集中于交通碳排放核算方法的优化及统一、影响因素选取体系的形成上。

区域融通:职业本科教育中国式现代化的理性逻辑

中国式现代化是职业本科教育发展的风向标,区域融通则是职业本科教育中国式现代化的重要生命线。其本质为在特定的地理场域中,调和职业本科在转型中产生的变化、矛盾和冲突,对参与职业本科教育建设的各主体进行价值整合与价值重建。“区域融通”包含教育融通、产教融合与校地联动三个向度,意为职业本科教育与外部教育、经济、政治、文化的互动坐标轴。为推动“区域融通”这一行动范式由理想走向现实,需要以城市集群为办学单元、以联合办学为跃升契机、以和而不同为治理理念、以数字技术为重要引擎,促进职业本科教育与区域经济、教育、政治、文化达到在协调中耦合、在互通中升值、在递进中生成、在均衡中吸引的理想关系形态,以及构建出“集群生长与共演发展”的经济空间、“错位互补与竞合发展”的教育空间、“同构配套与统筹发展”的制度空间、“正视技能与共识发展”的文化空间。

文旅融合赋能文化软实力的理论机理与发展路径

文化软实力是中国式现代化进程中文化强国建设的重要方向,高质量文旅融合是提升文化软实力的必由之路。文章首先解析文化软实力的结构维度,提出文化软实力包括文化凝聚力、文化创新力、文化辐射力、文化传播力和文化保障力,并进一步总结文旅资源融合增强文化凝聚力、文旅业态融合提升文化创新力、文旅市场融合扩大文化辐射力、文旅交流融合加强文化传播力、文旅服务融合夯实文化保障力等主要机制;其次,剖析文旅融合赋能文化软实力的关键问题,指出文旅融合产品的文化内涵不足、科技赋能文旅融合效用不显著、文旅融合品牌特色优势不突出、文旅融合背景下入境旅游不景气、文旅融合体制机制边界不清晰,这些关键问题制约文化软实力发展。在提炼文旅融合赋能文化软实力的国际经验的基础上,提出文旅融合赋能文化软实力提升的发展建议,为文旅融合高质量发展和文化软实力建设提供参考。

中国式城镇化:从传统城市化向新型城镇化转型的理论探索与实践创新

城市是人类文明的载体。人类文明经历了农业文明时代,进入到工业文明时代,开启了城市化进程。中国的城市化相比西方发达国家的城市化起步晚,因此在中国城市化前期无论是在理论上还是在实践上都是西方发达国家的跟随者和模仿者,以“物”为主的城市化成为发展的方向,因而也出现了若干城市病。新中国是中国共产党领导的国家,以人民群众的利益为根本遵循。因而,跟随西方传统城市化的发展,不符合中国共产党所提出的“人民城市人民建、人民城市为人民”的初心,也不符合中国的国情和发展规律。中国特色社会主义进入新时代,以习近平同志为核心的党中央果断选择了以人为本的新型城镇化道路,并以新型城镇化为抓手和新路径,扭转了中国城市化的发展方向,有力地推动了中国式现代化建设与中华民族现代文明的构建。中国从传统城市化向新型城镇化转型有其历史逻辑,也是“两个结合”的中国化与当代化表达。
