A quantitative evaluation system of Chinese journals in the humanities and social sciences

Based on analyses on existing indicators for evaluating journals in the humanities and social sciences and our experience in constructing the Chinese Social Science Citation Index(CSSCI), we proposed a comprehensive system for evaluating Chinese academic journals in the humanities and social sciences. This system constitutes 8 primary indicators and 17 sub-indicators for multidisciplinary journals and 19 sub-indicators for discipline-specific journals. Each indicator or sub-indicator is assigned a suitable weight according to its importance in terms of measuring a journal's academic quality and/or impact.

This journal provides an international medium for the publication of theoretical and experimental studies related to the fields of Mineral, Metallurgy and Materials. Papers dealing with mineral processing, mining, mine safety, environmental pollution and protection of mines, process metallurgy, metallurgical physical chemistry, metals working, structure and physical properties of materials, corrosion and resistance of materials, are viewed as suitable for publication.

Brief Introduction to “Journal of Jilin University(Science Edition)”

"Journal of Jilin University(Science Edition)"is a comprehensive academic journal in the fields of science sponsored by Jilin University and administrated by the Ministry of Education of the Peoples Republic of China.The journal started publication in 1955.The original name at starting publication was"Journal of Natural Science of Northeast People University",which was changed into "Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Jilinensis"in 1958owing to the name change of the university.

Spatial Humanities and Geo-computation for Social Sciences:Advances and Applications

Humanities and Social Sciences(HSS) are undergoing the transformation of spatialization and quantification. Geo-computation, with geoinformatics(including RS: Remote Sensing;GIS: Geographical Information System;GNSS: Global Navigation Satellite System), provides effective computational and spatialization methods and tools for HSS. Spatial Humanities and Geo-computation for Social Sciences(SH&GSS) is a field coupling geo-computation, and geoinformatics, with HSS. This special issue accepted a set of contributions highlighting recent advances in methodologies and applications of SH&GSS, which are related to sentiment spatial analysis from social media data, emotional change spatial analysis from news data, spatial analysis of social media related to COVID-19, crime spatiotemporal analysis, “double evaluation” for Land Use/Land Cover(LUCC), Specially Protected Natural Areas(SPNA) analysis, editing behavior analysis of Volunteered Geographic Information(VGI), electricity consumption anomaly detection, First and Last Mile Problem(FLMP) of public transport, and spatial interaction network analysis for crude oil trade network. Based on these related researches, we aim to present an overview of SH&GSS, and propose some future research directions for SH&HSS.

Reflections on Amendments to the Journal's Editing Standards

《西北农林科技大学学报(社会科学版)》2013-2022年高被引论文特征分析

利用中国知网引文数据库的资料,以2013-2022年《西北农林科技大学学报(社会科学版)》(以下简称《学报》)刊发文章总量的5%为标准遴选出的高被引论文作为研究对象,对高被引论文的栏目/专题、基金项目、高被引论文作者、第一作者机构和排名前20的高被引论文进行了分析,为组稿、约稿和筛选优质稿源提供依据。结果显示,《学报》2013-2022年共刊发论文1266篇,总被引频次为32051次,从中遴选出高被引论文63篇,高被引论文总被引频次为8308次,占总被引频次的25.92%。63篇高被引论文均属学报特色栏目——“三农”问题研究的下设专题论文,此栏目的高被引论文占到了73.02%,“精准扶贫”“乡村振兴”“农村电商”3个专题高被引论文表现抢眼。在高被引论文获助的基金项目中,国家社科基金资助20项,占31.75%,是获助的主体;国家自然科学基金资助论文居于第2位。高被引论文中作者的职称(学历)居前3位的分别是博士研究生、教授(研究员)、副教授(副研究员),其中博士研究生的高被引论文占到了总数的38.10%,表明其已经成为学术研究的主力军;发表2篇以上高被引论文的作者有3位。来源论文机构总被引频次的排序前5名为西北农林科技大学、中国农业大学、华中农业大学、华中科技大学和西安交通大学。被引频次最多的前20篇论文的统计结果与前面的统计情况相吻合,值得注意的是“精准扶贫”和“乡村振兴”两个专题的高被引论文占了几近一半。鉴于以上结果,今后应继续做好选题策划,持续加强“三农”问题研究特色栏目建设。组稿约稿中要扩大核心作者群,积极关注青年科技工作者研究成果,打造高水平服务团队,提升论文学术水平;大力推进新媒体融合出版,提升学术成果传播速度。

文理综合学报面向主办高校的出版服务能力研究

为了评价文理综合学报面向主办高校的出版服务能力,基于载文量这一最基础、最核心的期刊出版指标,提出理想服务能力、可能服务能力、实际服务能力、服务诚意指数4个概念,并构建了相应的计算模型。以江浙沪12种文理综合学报为样本,进行了具体研究。结果显示:12种学报的年均载文量较低,且呈逐年下降趋势;主要受载文量偏低影响,其可能服务能力为38.64%;在中低水平的服务诚意指数的进一步影响下,其实际服务能力仅为20.64%;个刊之间差异明显,实际服务能力评价方面《丽水学院学报》得分最高,是《淮阴工学院学报》的4.48倍。建议主办高校从编辑队伍建设、出版经费支持、科研评价适当向学报倾斜等几方面综合施策,切实提高学报的出版服务能力。

英文“摘要地图”助力中国学术“走出去”——中文人文社会科学期刊英文摘要评价指标探析

面对中文人文社会科学期刊英文摘要建设的现存问题,有必要从内容评价的角度探索加强英文摘要建设的有效方法。通过文献综述与案例分析可以发现,中文人文社会科学期刊的英文摘要存在可读性低、信息量少、自明性弱等问题。因此,基于中文人文社会科学期刊英文摘要的媒介功能、学科特质和写作特点,英文摘要的学术评价必须坚持正确的政治标准,可以从可读性、独立性、制度化这三个指标实施评价,积极引导期刊编辑部、论文作者与论文读者规范英文摘要写作,促进中文人文社会科学期刊形成英文摘要建设的有效路径,进而助力中国学术“走出去”。

自主知识体系语境下人文社科学术期刊评价的改革路径

自主知识体系是我国学术评价的宗旨,也是期刊评价的根本遵循。中国人文社科学术期刊评价标准须以建构自主知识体系为指引,其评价改革过程也恰好是自主知识体系在理论创新与实践创新领域相结合的一块试验田。为此,人文社科学术期刊评价应遵循公平公开公正的原则,强化学术共同体作为评价主体的主导作用,秉持守正创新的评价理念。从自主知识体系语境出发,在具体改革举措上,须完善“全评价”和动态评价,实施适恰的分层分类方案,并深入拓展开放科学评价路径,探索一系列既体现中国学术话语权要求,又能被国际学术界认可的人文社科类期刊科学评价标准。
