Effects of Warm Needling at Zusanli(ST 36)on NO and IL-2 Levels in the Middle-Aged and Old People

42 middle-aged and old people at the age between 55-70 years were selected and given the warm needling at Zusanli (ST 36), and their IL-2 and NO contents of peripheral blood before and after acupuncture were determined. The results showed that IL-2 and NO contents increased significantly after the warm needling (P<0.01).

China-Turkey Security Cooperation Under the Background of the ‘Belt and Road’ and the ‘Middle Corridor’ Initiatives

This article focuses on the security cooperation between China and Turkey and the impact of the‘Belt and Road’and the‘Middle Corridor’Initiatives on bilateral cooperation.The‘Belt and Road’Initiative and Turkey’s‘Middle Corridor’Initiative have promoted economic cooperation and enhanced communication and mutual understanding between the two countries.We examine this cooperation from a security perspective;with deep analysis on security cooperation between China and Turkey published by the governments,academia and social media,the impact of the‘Belt and Road’and‘Middle Corridor’Initiatives on the growing bilateral relationship has been clearly highlighted.Additionally,this article focuses on the challenges of bilateral security and counterterrorism cooperation,and the positive impact of security cooperation on Sino-Turkish relations in the wake of the‘Belt and Road’and the‘Middle Corridor’initiatives.This article shows that economic cooperation has a significant impact on security cooperation and the‘Belt and Road’and the‘Middle Corridor’Initiatives may build closer ties between the two countries.

The Turbulent Middle East: Analysing Security Issues facing China’s Belt and Road Initiative towards the Region

Since the announcement of the‘Belt and Road Initiative’(BRI)in 2013,China has yet to unveil the greatest challenge facing the implementation of this initiative.The Middle East offers both strategic as well as resource opportunities for China but the region remains fluid and unstable security wise.Shaky regional alliances,a dissatisfied labour force,pressures from non-state actors,gender discrimination and human rights abuses and sustained external intervention are just some of the security issues facing the Middle East.How would China navigate itself in such a volatile region without jeopardizing its interests and without breaking the principles of non-intervention and sovereignty?More importantly,what type of power does China want to project vis-a-vis the region?This paper argues that the Middle East region,among all the world’s regions,is the most critical for the success of the BRI.China’s ability to maximize gains amidst regional security challenges will determine the future of its global political and economic influences.The region is a test for China’s diplomacy and credibility,which are crucial for its status as a future global power.

Experience in Differentiation and Treatment of Stubborn Insomnia

Stubborn insomnia is characterized by: a) a long course of illness, lasting over 3 months; b) ineffectiveness of the routine treatment; c) the patient can sleep no more than 2 hours at night; d) the patient has a low spirit, palpitation, poor memory, viscera function disorder, all seriously affecting the patient's life and work. The following is an account of the author's clinical experience in treating stubborn insomnia.

西藏冈底斯带东段尼木地区中二叠世和晚三叠世基性岩浆作用及其对新特提斯洋初始俯冲的约束

野外地质调查和SHRIMP锆石U-Pb年代学研究发现,藏南冈底斯带尼木地区出露有规模较大、原岩形成于中二叠世(~266Ma)和晚三叠世(220~219Ma)的变质基性岩,而晚三叠世变质基性岩中还存在~2.5Ga的捕获锆石。全岩地球化学分析显示,两期基性岩具有相似的地球化学特征,即:(1)相对富集轻稀土元素,亏损重稀土元素和高场强元素;(2)比较一致的Sr和Nd同位素比值(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr(t)=0.703225~0.703664,εNd(t)=6.51~6.81)。结合拉萨地块东南缘已发表的三叠纪中-基性岩地球化学数据,发现尼木中二叠世和晚三叠世基性岩皆形成于陆缘弧环境,岩浆来源于尖晶石橄榄岩地幔2.5%~4%的部分熔融,并经历了一定程度的地壳混染。对比拉萨地块西南缘与东南缘二叠纪-三叠纪俯冲相关的岩浆记录,推断新特提斯洋向拉萨地块下的初始俯冲作用具有穿时性,东段俯冲作用在~266Ma已经开启,西段则发生在255~214Ma之间。

The Middle East is a region where China has more advantages in production capacity cooperation.China started early and has a good reputation in the area of engineering contracting,which has laid good foundations.At present,the Middle East countries are in an important stage of economic transformation.In order to accelerate industrialization,they have developed long-term economic development plan,which provides an important historical opportunity for Chinese enterprises to establish business there.The production capacity cooperation between China and the Middle East countries will utilize the complementary advantages and adhere to mutually beneficial and win-win spirit,and thus has been welcomed by the Middle East countries.At present,the two sides are carrying out fruitful cooperation in infrastructure,high technology and labor-intensive industries,and have achieved significant results.The production capacity cooperation between China and the Middle East countries are facing both opportunities and challenges.We should make good use of opportunities,prevent and resolve risks,and effectively do a good job in production capacity cooperation between China and the Middle East countries.

岱语土俗文本中的浊声母对应

学术界早已知晓,越南北部高平省岱语方言保留有原始台语浊声母的发音,但有趣的是,这些浊声母在当地流行的岱语传统抄本也有反映。这个现象尚未进入国际学术界的视野。当地抄本是用方块土俗字书写的,千百年来,岱人一直使用这种类依附于汉字的书写系统来记录岱语。文章从重庆县(Trùng Khánh)传统文本中寻找证据材料,发现原始台语*b-和双唇浊复辅音在这类浊声母中尤其明显,同时还发现龈浊阻塞音(*d-等)、软腭浊声母(*g-等)、浊擦音声母和其他浊声母均有表现。这些声母的书写方式大多由早期中古汉语带有浊声母的汉字(或说土俗字声符)表现出来。这为岱语土俗字形成的年代考提供了重要的启示。

The Middle East in China-Japan Relations: Shared Interests, Competition, and Rivalry Spillover

Since the early twenty-first century,interaction between East Asia and the Middle East has grown considerably.An expected,though understudied,consequence of this development is a gradual spillover of the intra-East Asian political process to the Middle East.Attempting to enhance the understanding of this understudied aspect of East-West Asia relations,as well as new aspects of the China-Japan dynamic,this article explores the competition and possible expansion of the Sino-Japanese rivalry into the Middle East.To examine more concretely we focus on two areas of activities that exceed China’s and Japan’s traditional interests in the Middle East:the utilisation of Middle East events by Japan to loosen its half-century restrictions on the use of military force,and China’s respective response;and Japan’s reaction to China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

China’s New Silk Road Strategy and the Turkish Middle Corridor Vision

Turkey is one of the main regional powers in the Middle East,a member of OECD and NATO,a quasi-member of the European Union(EU),and an Islamic Turkic-speaking country with a close relationship with Central Asia.The article’s main argument is that China’s strategic partnership framework with Turkey is based on shared or mutual complementary economic and commercial interests,especially the integration of Turkey’s Middle Corridor vision into the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).However,the synergy between the two grand schemes largely depends on the quality of the bilateral relationship and the development of the Sino-Turkish relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.As one of the leading powers in the Middle East,Ankara also has a vital part to play in China’s BRI which aims to build links between East Asia,Central Asia,West Asia,Africa,and Europe both overland and by sea.

The Role of the EU and China in the Security Architecture of the Middle East

For decades,contradicting foreign policy principles,including state sovereignty,territorial integrity,and non-interference have hindered cooperation between the EU and China beyond the economic realm.However,since the establishment of the EU-China 2020 Strategic Agenda for Cooperation(2013)we observe a shift towards cooperation.For instance,China and the EU have expressed the desire to collaborate on security issues in the Middle East.The paper argues that although EU and China follow different trajectories in the Middle East,they play complementary roles for the region’s security.It takes a role-theoretic perspective to assess the changing security roles of the EU and China in the Middle East,ascribed to them by external and internal expectations and shows in two exemplary cases the complementarity of the EU’s and China’s roles in the region.The analysis draws on policy documents,expert interviews and secondary literature.The paper concludes with a discussion of the findings against the backdrop of growing tensions between the EU and China.

Infrastructure is not only a priority of the“Belt and Road”Initiative,but also an important component of the productivity cooperation between China and Middle East.The Middle East was one of the regions that had been working with China in the early stage after China’s reform and opening up to the outside world,and since China was integrated into the world economic system and carried out international cooperation.China has a good foundation and experience in the cooperation with the Middle East in the field of infrastructure.Based on the analysis of basic problems of the Middle East infrastructure,this article sorts out the main mode of China’s cooperation with the Middle East in infrastructure,and points out the main problems in China’s expansion in the Middle East infrastructure market.According to the characteristics and future scale of infrastructure market in the Middle East countries,this articles puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for future development of Chinese enterprises in the Middle East market in the field of infrastructure as well as the proposals to increase market share.

上古群母字部份在中古以前擦化,部份在中古以后清化,这是音韵学常识。但为什么这么变,却是以前没有问过的问题。本文以实验语音学、类型学为工具来解答这个问题。并连带着处理浊声清化、浊擦音、日母元音值等问题。本文提倡的汉语实验音韵学以普遍音变现象为考察对象,从物理、生理、心理学中的普遍原理来探索发生在汉语中的普遍音变的条件。而什么是普遍音变则是从共时类型学和反复发生的历史音变来确定的。
