Based on the CIPP(context,input,process,and product)model,this paper constructs an index system suitable for evaluating the teaching effect of VBSE(virtual business social environment)practical training from four aspects:context evaluation,input evaluation,process evaluation,and product evaluation.Taking the students participating in VBSE practical training in X university as the survey population,381 valid sample data were obtained through an online questionnaire survey,and the index weights were determined by factor analysis method.The score value of the VBSE practical training teaching effect was calculated based on the evaluation mean value of three indexes.The results showed that the context evaluation score was 1.56,the input evaluation score was 1.54,the process evaluation score was 1.51,and the product evaluation score was 1.48.Subsequently,this paper put forward some countermeasures from the aspects of optimizing course arrangement,improving hardware facilities,and enhancing team cooperation to provide a guideline for improving the effect of VBSE practical training. 展开更多

BACKGROUND With the continuous development and progress of medical technology,the position of surgical nursing in the field of clinical medicine is becoming in-creasingly prominent.As an important branch of the surgical field,the nursing requirements and difficulty of gastrointestinal surgery are also increasing.In order to improve the teaching quality of nursing care in gastrointestinal surgery,many educators and researchers are actively exploring new teaching methods.Among them,the teaching method case-based learning(CBL),scene-simulated learning(SSL),task-based learning(TBL),combining self-evaluation and training mode is considered as an effective method.This method aims to help students to better master knowledge and skills and improve their comprehensive quality by cultivating their self-evaluation ability.AIM To explore the practical effect of CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode and student self-assessment in nursing teaching of gastrointestinal surgery.METHODS Seventy-one nursing interns in our hospital from December 2020 to December 2021 were selected.According to different teaching modes,they were divided into observation group CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode combined with student self-assessment and control group(conventional teaching mode),of which 36 were in observation group and 35 were in control group.The results of operational skills,theoretical knowledge,nursing students'satisfaction,learning effectiveness questionnaire and teaching effect were compared between the two groups.RESULTS Compared between the two groups,the operational skills and theoretical knowledge scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the total satisfaction ratio of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the observation group was lower than the control group in the questionnaire results of learning efficacy,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the proportion of thinking ability,subjective initiative and understanding of theoretical knowledge in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The use of CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode and student self-assessment in gastrointestinal surgery nursing teaching can improve the operational skills of nursing interns,theoretical knowledge and satisfaction scores of nursing students,improve the results of learning efficiency questionnaire and teaching effect,which can be popularized in clinical teaching. 展开更多

A Study on the Work Process-Based Practical Training Model for Basic Nursing Skills in Vocational Colleges

Objective:To explore and analyze the work process-based practical training teaching model for basic nursing skills in vocational colleges and its implementation effects.Methods:A total of 82 nursing students from our school were selected for the study,which was conducted from April 2023 to April 2024.Using a random number table method,the students were divided into an observation group and a control group,each with 41 students.The control group received conventional practical training teaching,while the observation group followed the work process-based practical training model for basic nursing skills.The assessment scores and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were compared.Results:The comparison of assessment scores showed that the observation group performed significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).The comparison of teaching satisfaction also indicated that the observation group had significantly higher satisfaction than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The work process-based practical training teaching model for basic nursing skills in vocational colleges can improve students’assessment scores and enhance teaching satisfaction,demonstrating its value for wider application. 展开更多

Objective To explore a corresponding model that would bridge the gap between the practice of clinical teaching of nursing students in clinical settings in China and the clinical instructors' standard teaching of nursing students in clinical settings in the Philippines. Methods A phenomenological-qualitative,non-experimental type of research was utilized to recruit 27 staff nurses/clinical teachers in China. Data was collected by using audio-tapes and taking notes in the interviews. Results A content analysis was conducted and the sorted into four themes:(1) The things that they were able to teach their students;(2) The things that they were not able to teach their students;(3) The difficulties encountered in doing Clinical Teaching for their students;(4) Suggestions to improve Clinical Teaching. Conclusion According to the findings,the "CP's Proposed Nursing Clinical Teaching Model"should be introduced into the clinical set-up for staff nurses/clinical teachers handling nursing students in China. 展开更多

Augmented Reality(AR)is a new mode of interactive media that is becoming increasingly popular.Few universities,however,offer courses specifically in AR.This raises questions on appropriate teaching paradigms for this fast-developing area.This paper,therefore,discusses current challenges for teaching AR including a shortage of teaching staff,segmented teaching materials,and theory-driven assessment methods.As such,we present several strategies currently used in the AR technology and application course at Xiamen University.To improve teaching performance,we introduced part-time tutors who are currently employed within the AR industry.Furthermore,we improved the systematic presentation of our course materials to allow an integrative understanding of them.Students developed AR projects using Huawei,the most popular mobile platform in China.This paper concludes that students who underwent this teaching paradigm developed effective skills and knowledge in AR and successfully advanced their careers. 展开更多

Showcasing modeling strategies in the ESOL writing class: Blending rhetorical fluency with grammatical accuracy

This paper argues for an overt innovational shift in praxis, as well as classroom configuration in the ESOL writing class by calling for a move away from the current foci on process-based pedagogies for newcomer populations, to an explicit teaching of modeling strategies with concomitant practice opportunities provided in the ESOL writing class. It is argued that explicit, sequenced instruction in the domains of rhetorical structure as well as grammatical accuracy provide ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) learners in the emerging stages of language learning with a more concrete grasp of meaning, structure and grammar in rhetorical construction. The modeling strategies proposed in the paper focus on a simultaneous building of rhetorical fluency and grammatical accuracy via spotlighted and sequenced strategies which afford learners practice in smaller chunks of composition including but not limited to thesis statement writing, varied paragraph organization, multiple modes of exposition, and grammatical complexity all in a bid to generate rhetorical depth and grammatical detail in writing. In short, both form and function need to be explicitly taught in the ESOL writing class with adequate opportunities provided for rhetorical practice. Using a meticulous blend of meaningful, authentic and purposeful tasks combined with one-on-one instruction which incorporates a variety of visual and rhetorical modeling strategies, emerging writers, it is argued a move from controlled to automatic writing fluency within a short time span. The pedagogy proposed in the current paper spotlights the specific learner, rather than the writing process and entails a move away from traditional, teacher-fronted classrooms to targeted, workshop-centered configurations which permit for one-on-one conferencing in the ESOL writing class. The visually rendered modeling strategies proposed in this paper argue for writing instruction for ESOL students which is learner responsive, relevant and practical. 展开更多

目的探讨基于OBE理念的Mini-CEX评估模式在神经内科临床实习教学中的应用实效。方法选择2022年5月1日至2023年4月30日在神经内科实习的100名学生作为研究对象,将其分成实验组(n=50)和对照组(n=50)。实验组在OBE理念指导下,以学习成果为... 目的探讨基于OBE理念的Mini-CEX评估模式在神经内科临床实习教学中的应用实效。方法选择2022年5月1日至2023年4月30日在神经内科实习的100名学生作为研究对象,将其分成实验组(n=50)和对照组(n=50)。实验组在OBE理念指导下,以学习成果为导向,细化教学目标,并应用Mini-CEX评估模式进行测评和反馈,对照组采用与实验组相同的评估方式,并按照传统教学流程进行。结合观察数据,分析对比2组学生实习开始时和实习结束时的各项指标数据。结果实习结束时,实验组临床接诊、体格检查、人文医学、临床诊断、健康咨询、组织效果、整体评价等评分得到明显提升,且高于对照组P值;实习结束后,技能考试成绩方面,实验组得分高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05),而且实验组满意度评价得分也比对照组更高。结论基于OBE理念的Mini-CEX评估教学模式应用于神经内科临床实习教学,可以增强学生临床实践技能培育效果。 展开更多

以大模型为代表的新一代人工智能技术正深刻影响传统教学模式。在计算机实践教学过程中,如果大模型被合理应用,它可以充当学生的“私教”,辅助学生的个性化学习;否则大模型可能沦为学生完成作业的“枪手”,削弱学生的独立思考及实践能... 以大模型为代表的新一代人工智能技术正深刻影响传统教学模式。在计算机实践教学过程中,如果大模型被合理应用,它可以充当学生的“私教”,辅助学生的个性化学习;否则大模型可能沦为学生完成作业的“枪手”,削弱学生的独立思考及实践能力。该文首先论述了计算机实践教学的层次,并分析了大模型对各个层次实践教学的正面和负面影响。然后,以“算法设计与分析”课程为案例,设计了面向算法设计实践的大模型应用模式,包括过程报告、逆向思考和集中考核等主要形式,初步应用结果表明,84.8%的学生在课程中使用大模型,其中51%的学生认可大模型的帮助作用,大模型应用显著提高了课程实践作业的完成度。 展开更多
