SHRIMP Zircon U-Pb Ages of the Wajilitag Igneous Complex: Constraints on the Origin of A-type Granitoids in the Tarim Large Igneous Province, NW China

Objective Large igneous provinces （LIPs） are sites of spatially contiguous, rapidly emplaced magmatic rocks, which represent the physical and chemical transfer of material from the mantle to the crust. Exposed within some continental LIPs are felsic and rnafic plutonic and volcanic rocks. Although their volumes are minor compared to the flood basalts, the plutonic rocks of continental LIPs are often associated with economic deposits of precious metals. Within the Permian Tarim LIP of NW China, there are at least two layered ultramafic-mafic intrusions （e.g. Wajilitag and Piqiang） contain economically important Fe- Ti-V oxide deposits. Spatially associated with these layered ultramafic-mafic intrusions are syenitic and granitic plutons, which have chemical characteristics of A- type granitoids.

Geological characteristics and the origin of ore-forming materials of(Laozhaiwan gold deposit, Yunnan Province

"Golden triangle"area bordered on Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi was one of the most important Carlin-type gold deposits concentration areas.Deep understanding of Carlin-type gold deposits in Guizhou and Guangxi Province had reached through several decades studies,but geological environment was very complex in the southeastern Yunnan,and Carlin-type gold deposits produced in the southeastern Yunnan were different from that of America,few studies were taken there.Based on a large number of field work,studies on the geological characteristics combining with geochemistry characteristics were taken,and analysis the genesis of Laozhaiwan gold deposit.The types of alteration in Laozhaiwan gold deposit were mainly silicification and pyritization,and Gold grade was high when silicification and pyritization were both occurred.It could be caculated that fluid density(g/cm3)varied from 0.7 to 4.9,salinity varied from 0.76%to 0.95%and ore-forming pressure(Pa)varied from 1.81×105 to 49.96×105 according to fluid inclusion test results,showed that Laozhaiwan gold deposit was hypabyssal hydrothermal deposit in low temperature and low salinity.According to composition of fluid inclusion analysis,combining with H-O isotope,made theδD-δ18O figure,showed that the fluid of the deposit rooted in formation water and mixed with meteoric waters later.

A re-examination of the artifacts and research pertaining to woodblock printing reveals that The Great Dharani Sutra of Immaculate and Pure Light(Mugujeonggwang Daedaranigyeong 无垢净光大陀罗尼经) in the Seokgatap Pagoda at the Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju, South Korea unlikely originated in Korea and therefore cannot corroborate the claim that Korea is the birthplace of woodblock printing. It can be inferred from the earliest woodblock-printed Dharani sutra, dating from the Tang dynasty, that printing was invented no earlier than Emperor Xuanzong’s Kaiyuan era(713–741). The most significant social factor for the invention of woodblock printing is the transmission of Yoga Esotericism from India to China, where it prevailed and prompted the evolution of duplicating sutras from separate-plate stamping to woodblock printing using a whole block and from the Sanskrit prints to the Chinese ones.

Three melting events of the earth's crust occurred during the period of 220-120 Ma in the Shandong Pe-ninsula. Three subcycles of granitoid magma including six rock series were generated in the faulted granitoidmagma belt. The parent magma of several rock series formed earliest originated from the lower crust ofgranulite facies; following the increase of geothermal temperature the source magma would migrate into themiddle crust of amphibolite facies. In the seventies some scientific workers from France and Italy suggested that the grain boundary internal friction peak (named the K (e) over cap peak in the literature) widely accepted as a grain boundary process, is originated from the motion of lattice dislocations.
