On Evaluating University Teachers’ Morality and Ethics in the New Era

University teachers play an important role in promoting moral and political education among university students.Regular and long-term construction of teachers’morality and ethics will contribute to the success of the fundamental task of cultivating talents.The present study proposes that due to the multiple identities of university teachers,it is necessary to evaluate the construction of teachers’morality and ethics in terms of what to evaluate and how to evaluate?It is expected that the attempt will provide useful guidance for the construction of university teachers’morality and ethics.

The Effects of Work Ethics, Transformational and Transactional Leadership on Work Performance of Teachers

Teacher performance is an important factor to improve education performance. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the work ethics, transformational, and transactional leadership style on teacher performance. The experiment was conducted in public high school No. 112 Jakarta. A total of 50 teachers were included as samples, where they were given the questionnaires to be filled by self-rating. Data were analyzed with multiple linear regression model and processed with SPSS version 20. Results showed that transformational leadership, transactional leadership and work ethics have positive and significant impacts on teacher performance both simultaneously and individually.

Moral Education-The Wind Vane for College Teachers to Carry out Curriculum Ideology and Politics

Moral education is the fundamental task of education.It does not only include the inheritance of the fine traditional thoughts of the Chinese nation,but also the deepening of the new era of education concept with the new development in this changing world.Moral education has been widely implemented in the practical education process of colleges and universities and has achieved some outstanding results,but there are still some areas to be improved.Teachers in colleges and universities are the key to implement the concept of moral education,and classroom teaching is the main channel for the implementation of moral education.Therefore,teachers in colleges and universities need to deeply understand the essence and connotation of moral education,accurately grasp the practical problems existing in moral education,focus on the curriculum construction and the main channel of the classroom,and make every effort to exercise curriculum ideology and politics.

Competence of clinical teachers:A survey on perception of masters of nursing specialist postgraduates, their clinical teachers, and head nurses

Objectives:To explore the current admittance situation of clinical teachers for masters of nursing specialist(MNS)postgraduates and to test the competence of clinical teachers in self-evaluation and other evaluations.Methods:In this cross-sectional study,using a random number table,we chose 80 MNS postgraduates under clinical practice,their clinical teachers,and head nurses each from six hospitals in Hunan and Guangdong.The participants were tested on the basis of the Clinical Teachers'Competence Inventory of MNS Postgraduates.The competences of clinical teachers were evaluated by the three groups of participants.Results:The aggregated scores of teacher competence as evaluated by the MNS postgraduates(181.33±24.95)were lower than those assigned by both clinical teachers(190.75±24.30)and their head nurses(198.53±18.90),with significant differences in all dimensions except for clinical managing ability.The five highest rated items from all participants focused on the teachers'clinical nursing ability,and the five lowest rated items were mainly about their clinical research ability.Conclusion:The evaluation from MNS postgraduates is obviously lower than the self-evaluation of clinical teachers,and all participants are aware of the deficiency in research ability of the teachers.Thus,the admittance and examination of clinical teachers should be controlled strictly.Training should be carried out immediately to strengthen their comprehensive abilities,especially their research ability.

Mediators of Parental Status （Single or Both Parenting） and Academic Performance of Primary School Pupils in Ghana

This multivariate study investigated whether Parental Support, Teacher Support, and Academic Motivation mediate the relationship between Parental Status （i.e., children from single or both parents homes） and Academic Performance, The research design used for the study was a cross sectional survey using the quantitative approach. Data set from 250 primary school pupils from the Effutu Municipality were analysed using partial correlation and multiple regression analytical techniques. Among the study findings, that were when the effects of Parental Status were controlled for, Parental Support, Teacher Support, and Academic Motivation still related significantly to Academic Performance. Among the conclusions of the findings are that, whether the child was from a single or both parent home was not important with regard to his or her academic performance but rather it was the quality of support that the child gets from whoever is doing the parenting, teacher support and the child＇s own academic motivation that were important to determine the child＇s Academic Performance. The study also found that Parental Support was the best predictor of the pupils＇ Academic Performance out of the three factors includingTeacher Support and Academic Motivation.

Emotional Value Care to Promote Emotional Communication Between Teachers and Students Under the New Era of Education Mode

With the development of the times and the progress of the society,the ancient education mode can no longer meet the requirements of the times.The concept of educating people must keep pace with the times.The way teachers and students get along is no longer like in ancient times,where teachers teach students to listen.In the new era,it is necessary to build a new model of interaction between teachers and students.If educators pay attention and come to understand students’psychology,listen to students’aspirations,tend to students’emotions,grow in love for education,and treat students from their hearts,they would be able to win the favor of students.Paying attention to students’emotional value can promote emotional communication between teachers and students.It is possible to adapt to the requirements of the new era for the construction of morality and ethics among teachers by caring for students’emotional value.

虚拟数字人对用户在线学习效果的影响研究

[目的/意义]在教学环境中使用虚拟数字人进行授课可以促使用户更高效地在线学习。本研究旨在探究在线学习中虚拟数字人特征对用户在线学习效果的影响,为在线教学视频设计和教学策略优化提供参考。[方法/过程]结合准社会互动理论,使用VTube Studio软件设计虚拟数字人教学的视频材料,招募用户观看教学视频并测量用户的主观感受,对在线学习中虚拟教师授课的情境进行探究。[结果/结论]虚拟数字人的吸引力、拟人化特征通过用户对虚拟数字人的态度和学习满意度的链式中介作用积极影响在线学习效果,拟人化到学习效果的中介路径之间存在遮掩效应;准社会互动对学习满意度有积极影响,而对学习效果存在负面作用。

环境污染责任保险与企业ESG表现

作为绿色金融工具的环境污染责任保险会提升企业ESG表现,还是适得其反?本文根据环责险投保企业名单,结合沪深A股上市企业2009—2022年数据,探讨了企业投保环责险与ESG表现之间的关系。研究发现,企业投保环责险存在道德风险,在将可能的环境污染赔偿转嫁给保险公司后,企业会减弱环境治理动机和增加“漂绿”行为,从而导致ESG表现下降。异质性分析表明,外部治理监督能约束投保企业的道德风险,内部兼顾环境保护的经营目标和充足的绿色投入是企业进行环境治理的保障,因此在公众环境关注度和环境规制水平较高、环境执法力度较强的地区,重污染行业和竞争程度较低的行业中,以及国有企业和外部关注度较高的企业中,投保环责险对企业ESG表现的负面效应较弱。进一步分析发现,投保环责险对企业ESG表现的负面效应主要集中于环境和公司治理维度,投资者对企业购买环责险的短期市场反应显著为负。基于上述发现,本文建议进一步完善环保领域的法律法规体系,提高环境规制水平和环境执法力度,同时优化环责险产品设计,根据事故发生率等因素实行差别化保险费率和理赔标准。

Can a Teacher Salary Increase Promote Students' Educational Performance?

Policymakers in China have attempted to improve the quality of rural education by investing in teacher salaries through initiatives like the Rural Teachers Support Plan(RTSP).This study estimates the efects of teacher salary increase on students'educational outcomes in rural China by utilizing the exogenous variations of rural teacher salaries induced by the RTSP.It employs an intensity-based difference-in-differences strategy and panel data from 2010 to 2018 with 3,351 rural children.The findings reveal that an increase in teacher salaries had a significant positive impact on students'examination results.Moreover the results of mechanism analysis indicate that salary increases could have both quality and quantity effects on students'outcomes by increasing the proportion of highly educated teachers and reducing the student-teacher ratio.Our findings contribute to the discussion on the importance of teacher salary incentives in education production functions and provide insights for other countries undertaking rural education reforms.

高校绩效管理与课堂教学质量的挑战及策略

高校肩负培养人才、科研和社会服务的重要职责,而高效的课堂教学是实现这些目标的关键。目前,高校通过实施绩效管理提高资源利用效率和教师责任感,激发教师的教学热情。但过于追求绩效可能导致教师忽视教学,为满足考核而影响教学质量。为此,高校须采取措施平衡教学和绩效管理,确保教学质量,包括严格的授课准入制度、完善基层教学组织、建立科学合理的评学制度、制订完善的绩效管理方案等。这些措施有助于实现人才培养目标,为社会主义现代化做出贡献。

Heterogeneity Analysis on the Influence of the Supply of Teachers on the Academic Performance of 15-Year-Old Students:Based on PISA 2018 Samples from Four Provinces and Municipalities in China

The quantitative and qualitative supply of teachers has a significant influence on student academic performance.Based on the samples collected from four provinces and municipalities in China for the Program for International Student Assessment(PISA)2018,this study analyzes the effects of the supply of teachers on the academic performance of 15-year-old students through a hierarchical linear model(HLM)as well as a quantile regression model.The study has found that the shortage of teachers and the proportion of teachers with a master’s degree significantly affect student academic performance,and the supply of teachers with higher degrees has a decreasing marginal benefit on student academic performance;its best marginal benefit on student academic performance is achieved when the proportion of teachers with a master’s degree reaches about 75%.For students in different academic performance subgroups,the marginal benefit of an increase in the proportion of teachers with a master’s degree in schools is higher for“top students”than for“students with learning difficulties.”In terms of the difference between urban and rural areas,the shortage of teachers in rural schools is more prominent than that in urban schools,and teachers with higher degrees tend to cluster in core cities.The marginal benefit of an increase in the proportion of teachers with a master’s degree is higher for improving student academic performance in rural areas.Therefore,it is recommended to design a policy of differentiated compensatory earnings for rural teachers,and efforts should be enhanced to promote programs for supporting high-quality teachers.In addition,the allocation of teachers should follow the principle of“differentiated equity,”and more differentiated teaching strategies should be adopted for students with different academic abilities.
