Meanwhile, some sensitive loads or precise instruments demand for high power quality. When voltage flicker or harmonics occurs, dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) can be used to stabilize the load-side voltage, which is a good manner of improving power quality. The paper explains the load demand in large scale industrial enterprises, analyzes several common voltage compensation scheme of DVR, and comes up with another voltage compensation scheme of DVR applied for double power supply with double load. A Simulink model according to the new scheme is also built in MATLAB/Simulink to test its performance. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can guarantee the load-side voltage stability, which is an effective scheme for managing power quality.展开更多

To this point, this paper conducts a questionnaire survey on the satisfaction status of power supply services of some power users, and conducts statistics and analysis on its data, and establishes a customer satisfaction model for power supply enterprise services, and then uses weighted arithmetic average method to measure 152 online customers. Increasing railway traffic and energy utilization issues prompt electrified railway systems to be more economical,efficient and sustainable.As regenerative braking energy in railway systems has huge potential for opti...Increasing railway traffic and energy utilization issues prompt electrified railway systems to be more economical,efficient and sustainable.As regenerative braking energy in railway systems has huge potential for optimized utilization,a lot of research has been focusing on how to use the energy efficiently and gain sustainable benefits.The energy storage system is an alternative because it not only deals with regenerative braking energy but also smooths drastic fluctuation of load power profile and optimizes energy management.In this work,we propose a co-phase traction power supply system with super capacitor(CSS_SC)for the purpose of realizing the function of energy management and power quality management in electrified railways.Besides,the coordinated control strategy is presented to match four working modes,including traction,regenerative braking,peak shaving and valley filling.A corresponding simulation model is built in MATLAB/Simulink to verify the feasibility of the proposed system under dynamic working conditions.The results demonstrate that CSS_SC is flexible to deal with four different working conditions and can realize energy saving within the allowable voltage unbalance of 0.008%in simulation in contrast to 1.3%of the standard limit.With such a control strategy,the performance of super capacitor is controlled to comply with efficiency and safety constraints.Finally,a case study demonstrates the improvement in power fluctuation with the valley-to-peak ratio reduced by 20.3%and the daily load factor increased by 17.9%.展开更多

However, due to different human perceptions, quantifying the effective capacity of wireless network subject to diverse Qo E is very difficult, which leads to many new challenges regarding Qo E guarantees in wireless networks. In this paper, we formulate the Qo E guarantees model for cellular wireless networks. Based on the model, we convert the effective capacity maximization problem into the equivalent convex optimization problem. Then, we develop the optimal Qo E-driven power allocation scheme, which can maximize the effective capacity. The obtained simulation results verified our proposed power allocation scheme, showing that the effective capacity can be significantly increased compared with that of traditional Qo E guarantees based schemes.展开更多
In recent years,with the rapid development of high-speed railways(HSRs),power interruptions or disturbances in traction power supply systems have become increasingly dangerous.However,it is often impossible to detect ...In recent years,with the rapid development of high-speed railways(HSRs),power interruptions or disturbances in traction power supply systems have become increasingly dangerous.However,it is often impossible to detect these faults immediately through single-point monitoring or collecting data after accidents.To coordinate the power quality data of both traction power supply systems(TPSSs)and high-speed trains(HSTs),a monitoring and assessing system is proposed to access the power quality issues on HSRs.By integrating train monitoring,traction substation monitoring and data center,this monitoring system not only realizes the real-time monitoring of operational behaviors for both TPSSs and HSTs,but also conducts a comprehensive assessment of operational quality for train-network systems.Based on a large number of monitoring data,the field measurements show that this real-time monitoring system is effective for monitoring and evaluating a traction-network system.展开更多
Side lobe level reduction(SLL)of antenna arrays significantly enhances the signal-to-interference ratio and improves the quality of service(QOS)in recent and future wireless communication systems starting from 5G up t...Side lobe level reduction(SLL)of antenna arrays significantly enhances the signal-to-interference ratio and improves the quality of service(QOS)in recent and future wireless communication systems starting from 5G up to 7G.Furthermore,it improves the array gain and directivity,increasing the detection range and angular resolution of radar systems.This study proposes two highly efficient SLL reduction techniques.These techniques are based on the hybridization between either the single convolution or the double convolution algorithms and the genetic algorithm(GA)to develop the Conv/GA andDConv/GA,respectively.The convolution process determines the element’s excitations while the GA optimizes the element spacing.For M elements linear antenna array(LAA),the convolution of the excitation coefficients vector by itself provides a new vector of excitations of length N=(2M−1).This new vector is divided into three different sets of excitations including the odd excitations,even excitations,and middle excitations of lengths M,M−1,andM,respectively.When the same element spacing as the original LAA is used,it is noticed that the odd and even excitations provide a much lower SLL than that of the LAA but with amuch wider half-power beamwidth(HPBW).While the middle excitations give the same HPBWas the original LAA with a relatively higher SLL.Tomitigate the increased HPBWof the odd and even excitations,the element spacing is optimized using the GA.Thereby,the synthesized arrays have the same HPBW as the original LAA with a two-fold reduction in the SLL.Furthermore,for extreme SLL reduction,the DConv/GA is introduced.In this technique,the same procedure of the aforementioned Conv/GA technique is performed on the resultant even and odd excitation vectors.It provides a relatively wider HPBWthan the original LAA with about quad-fold reduction in the SLL.展开更多
