The regression equations built were tested with data collected from some s, and the influences of coal quality indexes on adsorption ratio of CO2/CH4 were studied with investigation of regression equations. The study results show that the regression equation for adsorption ratio of CO2/CH4 and volatile matter, ash and moisture in coal can be obtained with multiple linear regression analysis, that the influence of same coal quality index with the degree of metamorphosis or influence of coal quality indexes for same coal rank on adsorption ratio is not consistent.展开更多

Non-precious metal heterogeneous catalysts have broad application in the fiel...Ammonia borane(AB) can be catalytically hydrolyzed to provide hydrogen at room temperature due to its high potentaial for hydrogen storage. Non-precious metal heterogeneous catalysts have broad application in the field of energy catalysis. In this article, catalysts precursor is obtained from Co-Ti-resorcinol-formaldehyde resin by sol–gel method. Co/TiO_(2)@N-C(CTC) catalyst is prepared by calcining the precursor under high temperature conditions in nitrogen atmosphere. Co-CoO_x/TiO_(2)@N-C(COTC) is generated by the controllable oxidation reaction of CTC. The catalyst can effectively promote the release of hydrogen during the hydrolytic dehydrogenation of AB. High hydrogen generation at a specific rate of 5905 m L min^(-1) g_(Co)^(-1) is achieved at room temperature. The catalyst retains its 85% initial catalytic activity even for its fifth time use in AB hydrolysis. The synergistic effect among Co, Co_(3)O_(4) and TiO_(2) promotes the rate limiting step with dissociation and activation of water molecules by reducing its activation energy. The applied method in this study promotes the development of non-precious metals in catalysis for utilization in clean energy sources.展开更多

The ...The monomer reactivity ratios of free radical copolymerization of styrene and methyl methacrylate in carbon dioxide at vapor-liquid equilibrium state (vlCO(2)) at 65 degrees C and under 7.5-8.5 MPa were measured. The experimental results showed that, in comparison with the data in bulk copolymerization, the monomer reactivity ratio of St in vlCO(2) increased acompanied by a somewhat decrease in that of MMA. Further analysis of the sequence distributions of these copolymers by H-1-NMR spectra indicated that there was a significant bootstrap effect in this system. The local monomer concentrations in the proximity of growing free radicals, rather than the true reactivity of monomers or free radicals, were altered by the presence of vlCO(2), leading to the change in monomer reactivity ratios.展开更多
The instrumentation, method and measurement results used for measurements of CO2 concentrations in surface air of Obninsk (55.1° N, 36.9° E, 183 m above the sea level) located at a distance of 105 km to th...The instrumentation, method and measurement results used for measurements of CO2 concentrations in surface air of Obninsk (55.1° N, 36.9° E, 183 m above the sea level) located at a distance of 105 km to the south-west of Moscow are presented. Proposed is a method of experimental data filtering allowing one to separate natural and anthropogenic variations of CO2 concentrations. It is shown that minimal concentrations of CO2 registered in Obninsk and at the continental stations of GAW WMO characterize not only the "regional background" but also coincide with the data from GAW WMO background stations located in the oceanic regions. In this connection, one can assume that the excess in measured CO2 concentration over its minimal values, making about 5-6 ppm, is connected with an anthropogenic emission, and the continent should be considered as an anthropogenic source of C02.展开更多

By comparing to the conventional method (using the Einstein model) and the differentiation-interval variation method, we found that the results ob- tained by the clustering method used in this study are more close to the experimental values. Simulations on vapor-liquid equili- brium (VLE) of ammonia carbonation with different physical properties were discussed in NH3-H20 and NH3-CO2-H2O systems, respectively. The results indicated that at low temperature (303.15 K363.15 K) and pressure (0.1-0.4MPa), the PR (Peng-Robinson) equation was suitable for the description of the thermodynamic state in NH3-H2O system. NRTL (Non-Random-Two-Liquid) series models were selected for NH3-CO2-H2O mixed electrolyte solution system. VLE data regression results showed that NRTL series models were suitable for describing thermodynamic properties of NH3-CO2-H2O system, because average relative error fitting with each model was about 1%. As an asymmetric electrolytes model in NRTL model, E-NRTLRK (Electrolyte NRTL Redlich Kwong) could most accurately fit VLE data of NH3-CO2- H2O system, with fitting error less than 1%. In the extent temperature range of 273.15 K363.15 K, the prediction of product component using E-NRTLRK model for ammonia carbonation agreed well with the data reported in literature.展开更多
Plant carbon sequestration is an effective way to abate the global warming. However, the field-scale carbon exchange on a peach orchard remains unclear. Here, using an eddy covariance technique, the net ecosystem carb...Plant carbon sequestration is an effective way to abate the global warming. However, the field-scale carbon exchange on a peach orchard remains unclear. Here, using an eddy covariance technique, the net ecosystem carbon dioxide exchange and energy balance were analyzed on a coarse-sand-field, no-tillage, 12-year-old-peach orchard. The results showed that during full flowering, the ability to sequestrate carbon was significant, it reached on the peak of-0.33 mg (CO2) m^-2 s^-1. During rapid growth, the Bowen ratio was under 0.3 and daily net carbon sequestration reached on the peak of-25.1 g (CO2) m^-2 d^-1. During the leaf fall stage, there is a great deal of CO2 emissions, the peak value of carbon sequestration reached +0.60 mg (CO2) m^-2 s^-1. During monitoring period, the daily average of net carbon sequestration and Bowen ratio was 1.22 ± 1.56 and -2.90 ± 6.63 g (CO2) m^-2 d^-1, respectively. The net carbon sequestration could reach -1,052 g (CO2) m^-2 in a year. These results reveal that there is high carbon sequestration on a coarse-sand-field, no-tillage peach orchard.展开更多
