An Analysis on the Blended Teaching Mode of College English

This paper explores blended teaching in college English from five aspects:the connotation,theoretical basis,design principles,advantages,and challenges of blended teaching and blended teaching models.The purpose is to attract more foreign language practitioners and learners to pay attention to this model and put it into practice.

Research and Practice of Course Reform in English Majors of Colleges and Universities from the Ideological and Political Perspective

There is an urgent need for high-quality talents with ideological and moral character for the development of higher education and the cultivation of English majors who meet the requirements of the times.The course reform in English majors from the ideological and political perspective is an important way to improve the comprehensive quality and moral values of students,which helps to cultivate English talents with social responsibility and innovative abilities.This paper analyzes the problems in the current courses through literature review and field research,such as the lack of ideological and political perspective and low interest of students in ideological and political content.Based on these issues,taking the course“Comprehensive English”as an example,various teaching stages were practiced from the aspects of learning objectives,learning content,learning situation,implementation ideas,implementation effects,and teaching evaluation.Additionally,some suggestions are proposed,such as integrating ideological and political content into the entire process of teaching.The teaching staff needs to possess high-level English teaching ability and ideological and political perspective,standardize the evaluation system,and integrate epistemology into the evaluation process of ideological and political education,in order to promote in-depth research and exploration of ideological and political education of English majors.

On Problems in College English Teaching Reform on the Basis of Cloud Computing Assisted Instruction

Cloud Computing Assisted Instruction shows incomparable advantages over the traditional language teaching, but meanwhile, it exists some major problems, for instance, the information technology is omnipotent, information input is too excessive and teachers' role is considerably weakened. Analysis of the Teaching Mode of College English Reading Teaching Based on Flipped Classroom Model

The teaching of Eng-lish reading is a key point in College English education. However, the reality of College English reading education is not satisfacto-ry due to certain factors. This paper aims to discuss the implication of flipped classroom mode in college English reading teaching,hoping to provide references for the relevant parties.

Study Weariness of Vocational College Students and Reform of the Teaching Mode in Nursing Basic Technology Course

Objective: As part of an investigation and analysis of the study weariness of nursing vocational college students, the authors attempted to reform the teaching mode of a Nursing Basic Technolo-gy course to solve the problem of study weariness in vocational college students. Methods: The authors designed student questionnaires to investigate study weariness in 128 nurs-ing vocational college students. Results: Of the 128 students, 58 were tired of study, accounting for 45. 3%; 40 students often had weariness, accounting for 31. 3%; and 71 students had moderate or severe weariness, accounting for 55. 5%. Seventy-five students played on their mobile phone when they were tired of studying. Conclusions: The study weariness of vocational college students is a common phenomenon that has been developing rapidly. There are many factors that cause study weariness of professional college students. The students believe that the traditional teaching method is the main reason for study weariness. Reform of the teaching mode in a Nursing Basic Technology course effectively solved the learning problems of vocational college students. Teaching experiments for reform may have marked effects, and they are worthy of promoting.

The Application of “Yunban Class” for College English Based on Blended Teaching Mode

The blended teaching mode has the advantages of combining traditional teaching methods with online teaching.It can not only play the leading role of teachers in guiding,inspiring,and monitoring the teaching process,but also fully reflect the initiative,enthusiasm,and creativity of students as the main body of the learning process.This paper mainly explores“Yunban Class”for College English based on blended teaching mode.This learning mode is characterized by problem-oriented and task-driven pattern and requires teachers to assign online learning tasks and offline learning tasks to students at different stages.Meanwhile,classroom performance takes a large portion in evaluating students’learning by combining formative assessment and summative assessment in order to motivate students to learn and make them get more involved in class activities so that independent learning could be gradually achieved.

On the Reform of Vocabulary Teaching in College English Reading Course
