The structure of the low-temperature 4f^N→4f^N-15d excitation spectra of Eu^3＋ and Tb^3＋ doped in crystals LiYF4, YPO4 and CaF2 measured by van Pieterson et al. in 2002 was analyzed and assigned based on the simple...The structure of the low-temperature 4f^N→4f^N-15d excitation spectra of Eu^3＋ and Tb^3＋ doped in crystals LiYF4, YPO4 and CaF2 measured by van Pieterson et al. in 2002 was analyzed and assigned based on the simple model proposed by Duan and co-workers in the last few years. Some complemental discussion on effects of J-mixing on the f-d transition intensities for Eu^3＋ due to the f-electron crystal-field interaction Hcf（f）, which was ignored in the simple mod- el, was presented. Some previously unexplained peaks for Tb^3 ＋ were interpreted to be spin-forbidden transitions to higher 5d crystal-field levels, or assigned to be f→d excitations with the core 4f7 excited from ^8S to ^6P, ^6I and ^6D, respectively. It is shown that the main structure of 4f-Sd excitation spectra of Eu^3＋ and Tb^3＋ can be well interpreted with the simple model.展开更多

The transferability of 1s^2 K , 1s^2 F and the inner core correlation effects of K and F in both K, K^＋, KF and F, F^-, KF sys...The calculation results of electron correlation energies of KF and （KF）2 were reported. The transferability of 1s^2 K , 1s^2 F and the inner core correlation effects of K and F in both K, K^＋, KF and F, F^-, KF systems were investigated respectively. The correlation energy contributions of K and F component to KF system were calculated. By applying the simple estimation scheme to the calculation of the correlation energy of the strong ionic compound KF and （KF）2, it was shown that such a powerful scheme could not only reach the chemical accuracy but also need little computational work.展开更多
I begin this paper by outlining two senses of"phenomenology."First,the"what it is like"or"analytic tradition"sense:the verbalization of qualitative states of consciousness of which we are...I begin this paper by outlining two senses of"phenomenology."First,the"what it is like"or"analytic tradition"sense:the verbalization of qualitative states of consciousness of which we are aware.Second,the"Continental"sense:the rigorous study of the structures of consciousness.I outline the ways in which these two senses diverge.First,Continental phenomenology involves a diversified account of consciousness,states of awareness,and the human person.The phenomenologist articulates this account not by introspection but via acts of phenomenological reflection concerning eidetic intuitions about essential structural features.Second,via the method of"sense explication,"the phenomenologist can articulate an account of passive and subconscious states which we are not strictly"aware"of.The conclusion shows these divergences of senses are sometimes overlooked,leading to equivocation.Zahavi and Gallagher must be employing the"what it is like"sense when they make certain"phenomenological"arguments concerning social cognition,yet Spaulding's ensuing critique of phenomenology is directed at Continental phenomenology.Also,it is only phenomenology in the"what it is like"sense which cannot contribute to subpersonal psychology.Genetic Continental phenomenology describes the lawful relations amongst the precursors and preconditions which give rise to conscious experience,constituting a type of(non-causal)subpersonal explanation.展开更多
