From a known result that the circle or rectangl...An alternative extension to the Gaussian-beam expansion technique is provided to simplify the computation of the ~esnel field integral for rectangular symmetric sources. From a known result that the circle or rectangle function is approximately decomposed into a sum of Gaussian functions, the cosine function is similarly expanded by the Bessel Fourier transform. Two expansions are together inserted in this field integral, it is then expressible in terms of the simple algebraic functions. As examples, the numerical results for the sound pressure field are presented for the uniform rectangular piston transducer, in a good agreement with those directly evaluated from the Fresnel integral. A wide applicability of this approach is discussed in treatment of the ultrasonic field radiation problem for a large and important group of piston sources in acoustics.展开更多

A series of small spherical cavities including plasma are homogeneously distributed on a short straight line segment and every such cavity may be considered as a point source radiating acoustic impulse. Theoretical expressions of the relations between the amplitude and width of acoustic impulse and the receiving direction are given. It was proved through the listening test that the unrevealed auditory localization clues really exist with the reduction to absurdity. And the effective frequency bands of the unrevealed localization clues were in- duced and summed. The result of finite element based simulations showed that the pressure distribution at the entrance of ear canal was non-uniform, and the pattern was related to the direction of sound source. And it was proved that the sound pressure distribution pattern at the entrance of the ear canal carried the sound source direction information and could be used as an unrevealed localization clue. The frequency bands in which the sound pressure distribution patterns had significant differences between front and back sound source directions were roughly matched with the effective frequency bands of unrevealed localization clues obtained from the listening tests. To some extent, it supports the pattern could be a kind of unrevealed auditory hypothesis that the sound pressure distribution localization clues.展开更多

More and more oilfields are using acoustic technology to enhance oil recovery.In order to know the mechanism of acoustic oil recovery technology,the sound radiator of a new downhole vibration device is modeled and ana...More and more oilfields are using acoustic technology to enhance oil recovery.In order to know the mechanism of acoustic oil recovery technology,the sound radiator of a new downhole vibration device is modeled and analyzed.Based on the theoretical background,this paper firstly analyzes the acoustic mechanism for the oil reservoir and then makes a acoustic response analysis on the sound radiator model for frequency and time-domain investigation by using professional acoustic simulation softwareeLMS Virtual.lab Acoustics,finally calculates the acoustic transmission loss in the downhole oil reservoir.The research reveals that firstly,acoustic waves have influences on the oil&water fluidity in the oil reservoir,the oil pressure gradient and the interfacial tension of capillary;secondly,the acoustic radiation power and sound pressure of field point attain a peak on the natural frequency of the sound radiator;thirdly,with the acoustic impact,the sound pressure of oil reservoir would fluctuate so as to improve the oil recovery ratio;the last but not the least one is both the sound pressure of oil reservoir point and the transmission loss of rock have a positive correlation with the vibration frequency.Therefore,it is of great importance for the research of vibration frequency and structure optimization of sound radiator.展开更多
