An Empirical Study of the Socratic Method in Nongraded English Teaching in Senior High School Under the Background of the New National College Entrance Examination

With the reform of the New National College Entrance Examination(Gaokao),the nongraded education will become an inevitable trend.In senior high school,the traditional test-oriented education is popular.The knowledge is mainly taught by the teachers,and the students passively absorb it.This study examines a problem-oriented Socratic experiment in nongraded English teaching in senior high school.The teachers seek output from students,who respond by interpreting questions,fostering critical thinking,and enhancing problem-solving skills.This teaching experiment indicates that the Socratic method has a significant positive effect on cultivating nongraded senior high English students’critical thinking under the New National College Entrance Examination.

Two-phase tabu search algorithm for solving Chinese high school timetabling problems under the new college entrance examination reform

Upon the latest reform to the college entrance examination in China(i.e.,Gaokao),high schools began implementing an optional class system.Under this scheme,students’time slots become complex,thereby increasing the difficulty in formulating a suitable timetable from the available ones.To address this problem,the coursescheduling model was improved.On the basis of the original hard constraints,the“concurrent group”was considered,and the softer constraints were regarded as optimization goals,such as“teaching plans synchronously”,“no idle periods in the timetables of teachers”,and“evenly distributed lessons”.Given these soft constraints,the model becomes more practical.In this study,a two-phase tabu search algorithm was proposed to solve the problem.The proposed algorithm uses the characteristics of the graph coloring model to eliminate redundant calculations in the neighborhood search process,thereby effectively improving computational efficiency.Fifteen practical instances of different scales were selected for testing to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.The proposed algorithm can formulate high-quality available timetables(The average satisfaction rate of soft constraints is more than 71%)in a short period.

Composition Templates in English Writing of the College Entrance Examination

In recent years,more and more students relay on universal composition templates.Students believe that the"universal composition template"can cope with all kinds of English tests.How the pros and cons of writing methods seem to put things right once and for all?How’s enlightening significance to English teaching?In this paper,based on the two language acquisition theory and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the composition template,some suggestion are given to the students to improve their English writing level.

Orientation and Function of Examination Evaluation in the Reform of College Entrance Examination

With the aim of deepening the college entrance examination reform,this paper analyzes the orientation and role of examination evaluation in the reform of college entrance examination.Firstly,the paper expounds the implementation of the college entrance examination reform and affirms the necessity of several related educational reforms.Secondly,it expoxmds the orientation of examination evaluation.Finally,it summarizes the function of examination evaluation from four aspects:guiding the development of students*comprehensive quality,supervising teaching work,promoting the progress of teaching work,and guiding examination propositions.The advantages of examination evaluation are emphasized to promote the reform of college entrance examination and further drive the progress of the education reform in China.

Research on the Reform of College Entrance Examination Content under the Background of New College Entrance

Since the reform of the new college entrance examination,the reform of the college entrance examination content has achieved certain results,but there are still problems in the connection of basic education and higher education,the relationship between school teaching and the college entrance examination,knowledge selection and ability examination.The reform of the content of the college entrance examination can solve the problems in the reform by clarifying the educating nature of the content of the college entrance examination,improving the guidance of the content of the college entrance examination,and enhancing the scientificity of the content of the college entrance examination.

Investigation and Analysis on the Postgraduate Entrance Examination for Undergraduate Students from Private Colleges and Universities

Students from private undergraduate universities were included in this study as research subjects.Questionnaires were distributed to the students to collect information in order to keep abreast of students’motivation,preference,preparation and plan,encountered difficulties and adjustments made,demands,as well as other aspects about their postgraduate entrance examination.The results showed that students from private universities have clear motivation for their postgraduate entrance examination,but there are some problems,such as the lack of scientific choices,long preparation time,more challenges,and lack of school support.In view of these problems,this study offers countermeasures and suggestions for these students and relevant schools.

An Analysis of the Pre-writing Strategies Employed by Chinese College Students in the Timed Examination

This thesis is trying to analyze the pre-writing strategies used by Chinese college students in a timed examination.The purposes of this study is to identify the possible strategies the Chinese college students claimed they used in the pre-writing stage of the timed examination,find if differences exist between the pre-writing strategies employed by skilled writers and unskilled writers,and find which strategy best facilitate writing in a timed condition.

Learning Style Preferences and the Level of L2 Achievement: A Case Study of EFL College Students

This study investigated the relationship between learning styles preferences of English as foreign language (EFL)college students from three different achievement levels and to explore whether there is statistically significantdifference between different achievement levels and different learning styles. A total of 120 EFL freshman collegestudents from high, intermediate, and basic levels in Taiwan participated in the present study. Using a learning stylepreference checklist, students’ perceptional learning styles were first explored in terms of preferences. 120participants with different levels were classified based on their English scores on College Entrance Exam. With theuse of descriptive statistics and a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), the results indicated that specificlearning style preference correlated with certain achievement levels of students. Students with differentachievement levels preferred significantly certain style preference to other style comparing to other achievementlevels. It seems that learning styles preferences may not definitely relate to a student’s achievement levels. Certainvariables may also probably affect learning style preferences with respect to English performance.

Predictors of Performance of the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific （MAAP） in the OIC Navigational Watch Licensure Examination

Abstract： The study aimed to assess the predictors of performance administered by the Philippine Regulation Commission （PRC） in the licensure examination of Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific （MAAP） for Academic Year 2007-2011. Specifically, this also aimed to answer the following questions： demographic profile of the maritime graduates, the college related factors, administrative related factors, the level of scholastic achievement of the graduates, and the performance of the graduates in the licensure examination. A total of one hundred seventy three （173） graduates of MAAP from Class 2007-2011 were utilized as the respondents for the study. The study found out that the results of pre board examination and scholastic achievement of the graduates had significant effect on the performance of the graduates in O.I.C Navigational Watch Licensure Examination. Other variables found out to have no significant effect on the result of the licensure examination of the graduates. Therefore, the null hypotheses that the demographic profile of the graduates, college related factors, and administrative related factors has no significant effect on scholastic the achievement of the students were accepted. However, the null hypothesis that scholastic achievement of the students has no significant effect on the performance in maritime licensure examination was rejected. The same way, the null hypothesis that the demographic profile of the graduates, college related factors and the administrative related factors has no significant effect on the performance in Officer in Charge--Navigational Watch licensure Examination were accepted.

Research on the Influencing Factors and Countermeasures of Independent College Enrollment in the New Era

The Policy for Education of Migrant Workers＇ Children：Situation Analysis and the Future Orientation

Analysis and Strategy Research on the Mathematics Learning Situation of the Postgraduate Candidates

This study takes the students who intend to study for graduate students as the research object,and makes a questionnaire survey on the mathematics learning situation and learning platform of the postgraduate candidates.Questionnaires were distributed online and offline,and a total of 326 valid questionnaires were collected.Based on 326 questionnaires,this paper analyzes the current learning situation of mathematics in the postgraduate entrance examination and studies the strategies based on the present situation,which points out the direction for the construction of mathematics learning and communication platform based on the needs of postgraduate entrance examination.

Evaluation of Students'Performance in Specialized Courses in Yanbian Agriculture College by Variance

职教高考制度的发展历程、瓶颈问题及破解路径——以湖北省为例

职教高考制度是优化人才层次结构、拓宽成长成才通道、完善现代职业教育体系的重要举措。作为推进职教高考改革的先行实践,湖北省积极探索职教高考制度区域模式创新的新路,逐渐从萌芽起步期迈向深化提质期,呈现出鲜明特征:在制度理念上,从“消化模仿”向“改革创新”转变;在制度主体上,从“一元主体”向“多元主体”转变;在制度内容上,从“单一松散”向“系统规范”转变。然而,湖北省职教高考在发展过程中存在一系列需要破解的难题,如晋升渠道之困境、技能评价之难题、文化素质之困囿、组织实施之窘境。因此,系统总结湖北省“技能高考”制度的发展历程,准确把握“技能高考”的目标定位,完善“技能高考”招录机制、建立健全职业技能评价体系、全面优化“文化素质+职业技能”考试方式、深化考试方式分层分类等,能有效彰显职业教育类型特色,进而建立高质量现代职业教育体系。

高考跨学科命题透视:特点、问题与改进建议——基于对2016-2023年210份全国卷的分析

高考作为衡量学生学业水平的权威性高利害考试,是我国人才培养的重要指挥棒和风向标。新课标和新高考改革明确强调问题导向、学科融合的基本取向,对跨学科命题提出了新要求。为了把握高考跨学科命题的总体概况,有必要基于高考全国试卷对其跨学科命题进行深入分析。通过对2016—2023年共210份高考全国卷中的跨学科试题所考查的学科知识内容、核心素养水平、问题情境等进行编码分析发现:当前我国高考跨学科试题数量约占总题量的10%,与新课标所要求的课时比例相匹配;跨学科命题整体呈现出能力本位、问题开放、形式多样的特点,但仍然存在文理内部组合远多于文理交叉组合,学科融合程度不够高,学科核心素养的组合方式相对固定且频次分布不均衡,学科核心素养考查水平不高等问题。未来高考跨学科命题应从学科知识锚定、学科融合水平提升和核心素养考查三个方面进行综合考量,并不断提升命题质量。具体而言,可通过增强试题的情境化创设,突出不同学科之间的交叉关联点,以命制文理交叉的跨学科试题;可通过提炼跨学科大概念,并提供相应的引导和提示,以命制超学科融合水平的试题;还可通过构建核心素养所对应的学科知识体系,并与相关学科建立情境关联,以命制素养导向的跨学科试题。

江苏省中职职教高考命题研究

中职职教高考是中等职业学校毕业生接受高等职业教育的选拔性考试,考试命题在选拔过程中发挥着重要的基础性作用。以江苏省为例,通过问卷对30所中等职业学校的师生进行调查,用SPSS工具对调查结果进行统计分析,探讨中职职教高考的考试定位。通过完善“文化素质+职业技能”考试招生办法、制定基于课程标准的考试大纲、基于课程核心素养组织命题、采用命题技术控制命题质量等路径,推动职教高考制度发展完善,培养更多高素质技术技能型人才。

新时代我国高校考试招生制度改革与实践

进入新时代,党中央对考试招生制度改革进行顶层设计和重大部署。针对存在的突出问题,国家有关部门和地方政府以制度建设为核心,坚持育人为本,着力完善规则,强化综合改革,努力构建适应新时代要求的考试招生制度体系,积极稳妥推动高考改革。十年来,在促进学生健康发展、科学选拔各类人才和维护社会公平等方面取得重要成果,积累了宝贵经验。面对新形势、新挑战,考试招生制度改革依然任重道远。今后一段时期,要坚定改革方向,保持改革韧劲,增强改革的系统性、整体性、协同性,努力构建与教育强国和教育现代化相适应的现代教育考试招生制度。
