Moreover, their effective thermal conductivity is very low, making them a new type of lightweight and highly efficient nanoscale super-insulating material. However, prediction of their effective thermal conductivity is challenging due to their uneven pore size distribution. To investigate the internal heat transfer mechanism of aerogel nanoporous materials, this study constructed a cross-aligned and cubic pore model(CACPM) based on the actual pore arrangement of SiO_(2) aerogel. Based on the established CACPM, the effective thermal conductivity expression for the aerogel was derived by simultaneously considering gas-phase heat conduction, solid-phase heat conduction, and radiative heat transfer. The derived expression was then compared with available experimental data and the Wei structure model. The results indicate that, according to the model established in this study for the derived thermal conductivity formula of silica aerogel, for powdery silica aerogel under the conditions of T = 298 K, a_(2)= 0.85, D_(1)= 90 μm, ρ = 128 kg/m^(3), within the pressure range of 0–10^(5)Pa, the average deviation between the calculated values and experimental values is 10.51%. In the pressure range of 10^(3)–10^(4)Pa, the deviation between calculated values and experimental values is within 4%. Under these conditions, the model has certain reference value in engineering verification. This study also makes a certain contribution to the research of aerogel thermal conductivity heat transfer models and calculation formulae.展开更多

文摘Silicone rubber(SR)is widely used in the field of electronic packaging because of its low dielectric properties. In this work, the porosity of the SR was improved, and the dielectric constant of the SR foam was reduced by adding expanded microspheres(EM).Then, the thermal conductivity of the system was improved by combining the modified boron nitride(f-BN).The results showed that after the f-BN was added, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss were much lower than those of pure SR.Micron-sized modified boron nitride(f-mBN)improved the dielectric and thermal conductivity of the SR foam better than that of nano-sized modified boron nitride(f-nBN),but f-nBN improved the volume resistivity, tensile strength, and thermal stability of the SR better than f-mBN.When the mass ratio of f-mBN and fnBN is 2:1,the thermal conductivity of the SR foam reaches the maximum value of 0.808 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1),which is 6.5 times that before the addition. The heat release rate and fire growth index are the lowest, and the improvement in flame retardancy is mainly attributed to the high thermal stability and physical barrier of f-BN.

文摘The poor thermal stability and high sensitivity severely hinder the practical application of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane(CL-20).Herein,a kind of novel core@double-shell CL-20 based energetic composites were fabricated to address the above issues. The coordination complexes which consist of natural polyphenol tannic acid(TA) and Fe~Ⅲ were chosen to construct the inner shell, while the graphene sheets were used to build the outer shell. The resulting CL-20/TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene composites exhibited simultaneously improved thermal stability and safety performance with only 1 wt% double-shell content, which should be ascribed to the intense physical encapsulation effect from inner shell combined with the desensitization effect of carbon nano-materials from outer shell. The phase transition(ε to γ) temperature increased from 173.70 ℃ of pure CL-20 to 191.87℃ of CL-20/TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene composites.Meanwhile, the characteristic drop height(H_(50)) dramatically increased from 14.7 cm of pure CL-20 to112.8 cm of CL-20/TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene composites, indicating much superior safety performance after the construction of the double-shell structure. In general, this work has provided an effective and versatile strategy to conquer the thermal stability and safety issues of CL-20 and contributes to the future application of high energy density energetic materials.

文摘During the construction of cast-in-place piles in warm permafrost, the heat carried by concrete and the cement hydration reaction can cause strong thermal disturbance to the surrounding permafrost.Since the bearing capacity of the pile is quite small before the full freeze-back,the quick refreezing of the native soils surrounding the cast-in-place pile has become the focus of the infrastructure construction in permafrost. To solve this problem, this paper innovatively puts forward the application of the artificial ground freezing(AGF)method at the end of the curing period of cast-in-place piles in permafrost.A field test on the AGF was conducted at the Beiluhe Observation and Research Station of Frozen Soil Engineering and Environment(34°51.2'N,92°56.4'E)in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau(QTP),and then a 3-D numerical model was established to investigate the thermal performance of piles using AGF under different engineering conditions.Additionally, the long-term thermal performance of piles after the completion of AGF under different conditions was estimated.Field experiment results demonstrate that AGF is an effective method to reduce the refreezing time of the soil surrounding the piles constructed in permafrost terrain, with the ability to reduce the pile-soil interface temperatures to below the natural ground temperature within 3 days.Numerical results further prove that AGF still has a good cooling effect even under unfavorable engineering conditions such as high pouring temperature, large pile diameter, and large pile length.Consequently, the application of this method is meaningful to save the subsequent latency time and solve the problem of thermal disturbance in pile construction in permafrost. The research results are highly relevant for the spread of AGF technology and the rapid building of pile foundations in permafrost.

文摘Combining the mean field Pozhar-Gubbins(PG)theory and the weighted density approximation,a novel method for local thermal conductivity of inhomogeneous fluids is proposed. The correlation effect that is beyond the mean field treatment is taken into account by the simulation-based empirical correlations. The application of this method to confined argon in slit pore shows that its prediction agrees well with the simulation results, and that it performs better than the original PG theory as well as the local averaged density model(LADM).In its further application to the nano-fluidic films, the influences of fluid parameters and pore parameters on the thermal conductivity are calculated and investigated. It is found that both the local thermal conductivity and the overall thermal conductivity can be significantly modulated by these parameters.Specifically,in the supercritical states, the thermal conductivity of the confined fluid shows positive correlation to the bulk density as well as the temperature. However, when the bulk density is small, the thermal conductivity exhibits a decrease-increase transition as the temperature is increased. This is also the case in which the temperature is low.In fact, the decrease-increase transition in both the small-bulk-density and low-temperature cases arises from the capillary condensation in the pore.Furthermore, smaller pore width and/or stronger adsorption potential can raise the critical temperature for condensation, and then are beneficial to the enhancement of the thermal conductivity. These modulation behaviors of the local thermal conductivity lead immediately to the significant difference of the overall thermal conductivity in different phase regions.

文摘GeTe has attracted extensive research interest for thermoelectric applications. In this paper,we first train a neuroevolution potential(NEP)based on a dataset constructed by ab initio molecular dynamics, with the Gaussian approximation potential(GAP)as a reference. The phonon density of states is then calculated by two machine learning potentials and compared with density functional theory results, with the GAP potential having higher accuracy.Next, the thermal conductivity of a GeTe crystal at 300 K is calculated by the equilibrium molecular dynamics method using both machine learning potentials, and both of them are in good agreement with the experimental results;however, the calculation speed when using the NEP potential is about 500 times faster than when using the GAP potential. Finally, the lattice thermal conductivity in the range of 300 K-600 K is calculated using the NEP potential. The lattice thermal conductivity decreases as the temperature increases due to the phonon anharmonic effect. This study provides a theoretical tool for the study of the thermal conductivity of GeTe.

文摘Thermal conductivity is one of the most significant criterion of three-dimensional carbon fiber-reinforced SiC matrix composites(3D C/SiC).Represent volume element(RVE)models of microscale,void/matrix and mesoscale proposed in this work are used to simulate the thermal conductivity behaviors of the 3D C/SiC composites. An entirely new process is introduced to weave the preform with three-dimensional orthogonal architecture. The 3D steady-state analysis step is created for assessing the thermal conductivity behaviors of the composites by applying periodic temperature boundary conditions.Three RVE models of cuboid, hexagonal and fiber random distribution are respectively developed to comparatively study the influence of fiber package pattern on the thermal conductivities at the microscale.Besides, the effect of void morphology on the thermal conductivity of the matrix is analyzed by the void/matrix models. The prediction results at the mesoscale correspond closely to the experimental values. The effect of the porosities and fiber volume fractions on the thermal conductivities is also taken into consideration. The multi-scale models mentioned in this paper can be used to predict the thermal conductivity behaviors of other composites with complex structures.

文摘Aerogel nanoporous materials possess high porosity, high specific surface area, and extremely low density due to their unique nanoscale network structure. This study also makes a certain contribution to the research of aerogel thermal conductivity heat transfer models and calculation formulae.

文摘Rock thermal physical properties play a crucial role in understanding deep thermal conditions, modeling the thermal structure of the lithosphere, and discovering the evolutionary history of sedimentary basins.Recent advancements in geothermal exploration, particularly the identification of high-temperature geothermal resources in Datong Basin,Shanxi,China, have opened new possibilities. This study aims to characterize the thermal properties of rocks and explore factors influencing thermal conductivity in basins hosting high-temperature geothermal resources.A total of 70 groups of rock samples were collected from outcrops in and around Datong Basin,Shanxi Province.Thermal property tests were carried out to analyze the rock properties, and the influencing factors of thermal conductivity were studied through experiments at different temperature and water-filled states. The results indicate that the thermal conductivity of rocks in Datong,Shanxi Province, typically ranges from 0.690 W/(m·K)to 6.460 W/(m·K),the thermal diffusion coefficient ranges from 0.441 mm^(2)/s to 2.023 mm^(2)/s,and the specific heat capacity of the rocks ranges from 0.569 KJ/(kg·℃)to 1.117 KJ/(kg·°C).Experimental results reveal the impact of temperature and water saturation on the thermal conductivity of the rock. The thermal conductivity decreases with increasing temperature and rises with high water saturation.A temperature correction formula for the thermal conductivity of different lithologies in the area is proposed through linear fitting. The findings from this study provide essential parameters for the assessment and prediction, development, and utilization of geothermal resources in the region and other basins with typical high-temperature geothermal resource.

文摘The thermoelectric properties of layered Mo_(2)AB_(2)(A=S,Se,Te;B=Cl,Br,I)materials are systematically investigated by first-principles approach.Soft transverse acoustic modes and direct Mo d–Mo d couplings give rise to strong anharmonicities and low lattice thermal conductivities. The double anions with distinctly different electronegativities of Mo_(2)AB_(2)monolayers can reduce the correlation between electron transport and phonon scattering, and further benefit much to their good thermoelectric properties.Thermoelectric properties of these Mo_(2)AB_(2)monolayers exhibit obvious anisotropies due to the direction-dependent chemical bondings and transport properties.Furthermore, their thermoelectric properties strongly depend on carrier type(n-type or p-type),carrier concentration and temperature. It is found that n-type Mo_(2)AB_(2)monolayers can be excellent thermoelectric materials with high electric conductivity,σ,and figures of merit,ZT.Choosing the types of A and B anions of Mo_(2)AB_(2)is an effective strategy to optimize their thermoelectric performance. These results provide rigorous understanding on thermoelectric properties of double-anions compounds and important guidance for achieving high thermoelectric performance in multi-anion compounds.

文摘Highly thermally conductive graphitic film(GF)materials have become a competitive solution for the thermal management of high-power electronic devices. However, their catastrophic structural failure under extreme alternating thermal/cold shock poses a significant challenge to reliability and safety. Here,we present the first investigation into the structural failure mechanism of GF during cyclic liquid nitrogen shocks(LNS),which reveals a bubbling process characterized by“permeation-diffusion-deformation”phenomenon.To overcome this long-standing structural weakness,a novel metal-nanoarmor strategy is proposed to construct a Cu-modified graphitic film(GF@Cu)with seamless heterointerface. This well-designed interface ensures superior structural stability for GF@Cu after hundreds of LNS cycles from 77 to 300 K.Moreover,GF@Cu maintains high thermal conductivity up to 1088 W m^(−1)K^(−1)with degradation of less than 5%even after 150 LNS cycles, superior to that of pure GF(50%degradation).Our work not only offers an opportunity to improve the robustness of graphitic films by the rational structural design but also facilitates the applications of thermally conductive carbon-based materials for future extreme thermal management in complex aerospace electronics.

文摘An experimental investigation into the thermal conductivity of CF-SiC two-phase composite asphalt concrete is presented. The main objective of this study was to verify the possibility of using SiC powder instead of mineral powder as the thermal conductive filler to prepare a new type of asphalt concrete and improve the efficiency of electrothermal snow and ice melting systems accordingly. The thermal conductivity of asphalt concrete prepared with different thermally conductive fillers was tested by a transient plane source method, and the related performances were measured. Then the temperature rise rate and surface temperature were studied through field heating tests. Finally, the actual ice melting efficiency of the thermally conductive asphalt concrete was evaluated using an effective electrothermal system. As shown by the experimental results, the composite made of SiC powder and carbon fiber has a high thermal conductivity. When SiC replaces mineral powder, the thermal conductivity of the asphalt mixture increases first and then decreases with the increase of carbon fiber content. In the present study,in particular, the thermal conductivity attained a peak when the carbon fiber content was 0.2%of the aggregate mass.

文摘Ultrathin, lightweight, and flexible aligned single-walled carbon nanotube(SWCNT)films are fabricated by a facile, environmentally friendly, and scalable printing methodology. The aligned pattern and outstanding intrinsic properties render“metal-like”thermal conductivity of the SWCNT films,as well as excellent mechanical strength, flexibility, and hydrophobicity.Further, the aligned cellular microstructure promotes the electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding ability of the SWCNTs,leading to excellent shielding effectiveness(SE)of~39 to 90 dB despite a density of only~0.6 g cm^(−3) at thicknesses of merely 1.5-24μm,respectively.An ultrahigh thickness-specific SE of 25693 dB mm^(−1) and an unprecedented normalized specific SE of 428222 dB cm^(2)g^(−1) are accomplished by the freestanding SWCNT films, significantly surpassing previously reported shielding materials. In addition to an EMI SE greater than 54 dB in an ultra-broadband frequency range of around 400 GHz,the films demonstrate excellent EMI shielding stability and reliability when subjected to mechanical deformation,chemical(acid/alkali/organic solvent)corrosion, and high-/low-temperature environments. The novel printed SWCNT films offer significant potential for practical applications in the aerospace, defense, precision components, and smart wearable electronics industries.

文摘The use of steel slag, which is a by-product of the steel manufacture,in the construction of asphalt pavement would contribute to waste reduction and environment protection.Using rubber asphalt at the same time can improve the performance of asphalt mixture. This study investigates the influence of steel slag content on the road performance, thermal conductivity and outdoor temperature distribution of steel slag rubber asphalt mixtures(SSRAM),and calculates the cumulative stress in surface layer. At a certain range of concentration, the steel slag additive improved the deformation resistance and low-temperature cracking resistance of the mixtures. The SSRAM with 40%steel slag content has the best deformation resistance while SSRAM with 60%steel slag content performed well in low-temperature cracking resistance. The thermal conductivity of the SSRAM with different steel slag content(0%,20%,40%,60%,80%,and 100%)was 1.994,2.188,2.239,2.255,2.288,and 2.295 W/(m·K),respectively.Measurements of the outdoor temperature distribution further confirmed that steel slag increased the thermal conductivity of the mixtures, thereby increasing the cumulative temperature difference between the top and bottom layers. The temperature stress and temperature-stress ratio of the SSRAM with 40%steel slag were 0.43 MPa and 0.24,while the SSRAM with 100%steel slag were 0.58 MPa and 0.36.The stress and stress ratio were much higher in the SSRAM with 100%steel slag than in the specimen with 40%steel slag.Accordingly, the maximum accumulated temperature stress aggrandized and caused early temperature cracks in the surface layer. The optimum content of steel slag was 40%.

文摘Effective heat dissipation is a crucial issue in electrochemical energy storage devices. Thus, it is highly desirable to develop high-performance electrode materials with high thermal conductivity. Here, we report a facile one-step electrodeposition method to synthesize ternary cobalt nickel sulfide(CoNi2S4)flower-like nanosheets which are grown on graphite foil(GF) as binder-free electrode materials for supercapacitors. The as-fabricated GF/CoNi2S4 integrated electrode manifested an excellent thermal conductivity of 620.1 W·m-1·K-1 and a high specific capacitance of 881 F·g-2 at 5 mA cm-2, as well as good rate capability and cycling stability. Ultimately, the all-solid-state symmetric supercapacitor based on these advanced electrodes demonstrated superior heat dissipation performance during the galvanostatic charge-discharge processes. This novel strategy provides a new example of effective thermal management for potential applications in energy storage devices.

The factors affecting thermal conductivity were analyzed by using variance analysis for a perpendicular experiment. The effects of thermal conductivity on sliding gate free tapping were studied, and it was revealed that decreasing the thermal conductivity of the filling materials is beneficial in enhancing the rate of free tapping for sliding gates.
