The prediction of slope stability is considered as one of the critical concerns in geotechnical engineering.Conventional stochastic analysis with spatially variable slopes is time-consuming and highly computation-dema...The prediction of slope stability is considered as one of the critical concerns in geotechnical engineering.Conventional stochastic analysis with spatially variable slopes is time-consuming and highly computation-demanding.To assess the slope stability problems with a more desirable computational effort,many machine learning(ML)algorithms have been proposed.However,most ML-based techniques require that the training data must be in the same feature space and have the same distribution,and the model may need to be rebuilt when the spatial distribution changes.This paper presents a new ML-based algorithm,which combines the principal component analysis(PCA)-based neural network(NN)and transfer learning(TL)techniques(i.e.PCAeNNeTL)to conduct the stability analysis of slopes with different spatial distributions.The Monte Carlo coupled with finite element simulation is first conducted for data acquisition considering the spatial variability of cohesive strength or friction angle of soils from eight slopes with the same geometry.The PCA method is incorporated into the neural network algorithm(i.e.PCA-NN)to increase the computational efficiency by reducing the input variables.It is found that the PCA-NN algorithm performs well in improving the prediction of slope stability for a given slope in terms of the computational accuracy and computational effort when compared with the other two algorithms(i.e.NN and decision trees,DT).Furthermore,the PCAeNNeTL algorithm shows great potential in assessing the stability of slope even with fewer training data.展开更多

MEGA is an end-to-end encrypted cloud storage platform controlled by users.Moreover,the communication between MEGA client and server is carried out under the protection of Transport Layer Security(TLS)encryption,it is...MEGA is an end-to-end encrypted cloud storage platform controlled by users.Moreover,the communication between MEGA client and server is carried out under the protection of Transport Layer Security(TLS)encryption,it is difficult to intercept the key data packets in the process of MEGA registration,login,file data upload,and download.These characteristics of MEGA have brought great difficulties to its forensics.This paper presents a method to attack MEGA to provide an effective method for MEGA’s forensics.By debugging the open-source code of MEGA and analyzing the security white paper published,this paper first clarifies the encryption mechanism of MEGA,including the detailed process of registration,login,and file encryption,studies the encryption mechanism of MEGA from the perspective of protocol analysis,and finds out the vulnerability of MEGA encryption mechanism.On this basis,a method to attack MEGA is proposed,and the secret data stored in the MEGA server can be accessed or downloaded;Finally,the efficiency of the attack method is analyzed,and some suggestions to resist this attack method are put forward.展开更多

Our exploration is to find potentially suitable high gamma radiation dosimeters...The essential objective of radiation dosimetry is to develop suitable sensitive materials for different measurements in radiation fields. Our exploration is to find potentially suitable high gamma radiation dosimeters in the range from 0.5E4 to 1.5E4 Gy. Gamma rays source (<sup>60</sup>Co, 136 Gy/min) has been used. Many compound semiconductor materials were prepared and investigated. Thermoluminescence (TL) glow curve was analyzed into its component by analytical segregation program using computerized glow curve deconvolution (CGCD). Three zero dose readings for non-irradiated powders of the materials have been taken as lower limit of detection. The results indicated that some of the tested materials have exhibited TL linearly with respect to dose. In addition, dose response of these materials was found to be useful for high radiation dosimetry. Glow curve structures exhibited several peaks corresponding to the various energies of the emptied traps. Variation in the standard deviation for reusability cycles has been ten readout. The fading at ambient temperature was studied up to 60 days which reached a relative stability (~1.5% for all), 10 days after irradiation. A typical glow curve of CoPa which irradiated with 1.5E4 Gy was analyzed. Characterizations of tested materials indicated that crystals of ZnLa:Li, ZnLa:Cd, and ZnLa:Cr have stable and increasing thermoluminescent responses with high gamma radiation dose range. Special glow peaks can be used as estimators for absorbed doses as well as re-estimation for time elapsed exposures.展开更多
