The calcined TiO_ 2 thin films werecharacterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), BET surface area and X-rayphotoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Photocatalytic activity was evaluated by photocatalyticdecoloration of methyl orange aqueous solution. The results showed that the TiO_2 thin filmsprepared by reverse micellar method (designated as RM-TiO_2 films) showed higher photocatalyticactivity than those by sol-gel method (designated as SG-TiO_2 films). This is attributed to the factthat the former is composed of smaller monodispersed spherical particles with a size of about 15 nmand possesses higher surface areas.展开更多

The results indicate that the films arehomogeneous and dense; the structure of the as-deposited films is amorphous and they crystallizeafter annealed at 500℃ for 30 min. The resultsshowed that the thin films are uniform, compact and good in adhesion to the substrates, and thegrowth of the films is 2.8 nm/cycle. The evolution of structure undergoes from the cubic structureto the hexagonal one with a preferred orientation along the (002) plane after annealing at 673 K. Anamount of C, O and Cl impurities can be reduced by increasing the drying temperature or byannealing in N2 atmosphere. It was found that the band gap of the CdS films shifts to higherwavelength after annealing or increasing film thickness. The electrical resistivity decreases withincreasing annealing temperature and film thickness.展开更多

Young modulus,electric-field-induced displacement and the density of the PZT film are measured respectively.Bimorph- type bending actuators are fabricated using these films. The model, which is used toanalyze the driving ability of bimorph-type bending actuators by hydrothermal method, is set up. Itcan be seen that the driving ability of bimorph-type bending actuators can be greatly improved byoptimizing the thickness of PZT thin film and substrate from the theoretical analysis results. The structures and magnetic behaviors are characterized by several techniques, in which the oxygen states in the lattice and the absorptive oxygen bonds at the surface are carefully examined. The absorptive oxygen bond is about 50% of the total oxygen bond by using a semi-quantitative method. The value of actual stoichiometry δ′ is close to 2. The experimental results indicate that the thin films are of a cerium oxide-based solid solution with few oxygen vacancies in the lattice and many absorptive oxygen bonds at the surface. Week ferromagnetic behaviors were evidenced by observed M-H hysteresis loops at room temperature. Furthermore, an evidence of relative ferromagnetic contributions was revealed by the temperature dependence of magnetization. It is believed that the ferromagnetic contributions exhibited in the M-H loops originate from the absorptive oxygen on the surface rather than the oxygen vacancies in the lattice.展开更多

The samples...Ni0.4Cu0.2Zn0.4Fe2O4 thin films were fabricated on Si substrates by using the sol-gel method and rapid thermal annealing (RTA), and their magnetic properties and crystalline structures were investigated. The samples calcined at and above 600 ℃ have a single-phase spinel structure and the average grain size of the sample calcined at 600 ℃ is about 20 nm. The initial permeability μi, saturation magnetization M and coercivity H of the samples increase with the increasing calcination temperature. The sample calcined at 600 ℃ exhibits an excellent soft magnetic performance, which has μi=33.97 (10 MHz), Hc=15.62 Oe and Ms=228.877 emu/cm^3. Low-temperature annealing can enhance the magnetic properties of the samples. The work shows that using the sol-gel method in conjunction with RTA is a promising way to fabricate integrated thin-film devices.展开更多

XRD results indicate the phase structure of ZnSe particles embedded in ZnSe/SiO2 composite thin films is sphalerite (cubic ZnS). Spectroscopic ellipsometers were used to investigated the dependences of ellipsometric angle with wavelength of ZnSe/SiO2 composite thin films. The optical constant, thickness, porosity and the concentration of ZnSe of ZnSe/SiO2 thin composite films were fitted according to Maxwell-Garnett effective medium theory. The thickness of ZnSe/SiO2 composite thin thin films was also measured through surface profile. The photoluminescence properties of ZnSe/SiO2 thin composite thin films was investigated through fluorescence spectrometer. The photoluminescence results show that the emission peak at 487 nm (2.5 eV) is excited at 395 nm corresponds to the band-to-band emission of sphalerite ZnSe crystal(2.58 eV). The strength free exciton emission and other emission peaks correlating to ZnSe lattice defect were also observed.展开更多

Crystal structure and lattice constant determination was performed b...Ti4+ substitution for Fe3+ in Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4(NZF) ferrite thin films were realized by sol-gel method and annealing at 600 ℃ for 30 min in the air. Crystal structure and lattice constant determination was performed by X-ray diffractometer(XRD). Surface microstructure was observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and atomic force microscope(AFM),and the magnetic properties were measured by vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM). XRD analyses of the samples show that Ni0.5+xZn0.5TixFe2-2xO4(NZTF) films with x varying from 0 to 0.15 in steps of 0.05 are composed of single phase with spinel structure. And the lattice parameter,particle size and the diffraction intensity of the films increase with substitution of Ti as the result of the larger radius ions entering the lattice. SEM and AFM show homogeneous grain size of each sample,but there is a few differences in grain size with different Ti-substitution contents. As the nonmagnetic Ti4+ substitutes Fe3+,both the saturation magnetization and coercivity decrease.展开更多

In...The developed technique of diffusive gradients in thin film( DGT) has been suggested as a promising tool for evaluation of cadmium( Cd) availability in soils,but there exists considerable debate on its suitability. In this study,Cd bioavailability in soils was systemically investigated by comparing this technique with seven traditional methods, including soil solution concentration and six commonly used extraction methods( HAc,EDTA,Na c,NH4Ac,CaCl2 and MgCl2). Two typical plants( wheat and maize) were examined for Cd uptake. Maize was more sensitive to increasing exposure to Cd in soils than wheat when the added amounts of Cd ranged from 3. 5 to 5. 0 mg · kg-1,accompanied by the significant decreases of shoot and root biomasses. Cd concentrations in shoots and roots of two plants increased continuously with increasing levels of Cd in soils. Cd uptake was higher in wheat than that in maize. The bioavailable concentrations of Cd measured by all methods increased nearly linearly with increasing addition of Cd in soils. Positive correlations were observed between various bioavailable indicators of Cd in soils and Cd concentrations in two plants. The extractable Cd by six chemical extractants was considerably higher for maize than for wheat,while the DGT-measured and soil solution concentrations of Cd were lower for maize than for wheat,following the same trend as plant Cd uptake. The results imply that DGT measurement can effectively predict the bioavailable levels of Cd in soil solutions and that it is an ideal tool for prediction of Cd bioavailability in soils.展开更多

The parameters consist of annealing temperature, current density, CuCl2 concentration, FeCl3 concentration, H2SeO3 concentration, TEA amount, pH value, and deposition time. The experiments were carried out according to an L18(2^13^7) table An X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and a scanning electron microscope (SEM) were respectively used to analyze the phases and observe the microstructure and the grain size of the CuInSe2 film before and after annealing treatment. The results showed that the CuInSe2 phase was deposited with a preferred plane (112) parallel to the substrate surface. The optimum parameters are as follows: current density, 7 mA/cm^2; CuCl2 concentration, 10 mM; FeCl3 concentration, 50 mM; H2SeO3 concentration, 15 mM; TEA amount, 0 mL; pH value, 1.65; deposition time, 10 min; and annealing temperature, 500℃.展开更多

The molar ratio of zinc acetate dehydrate to MEA is 1.0. X-ray diffraction, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy are employed to investigate the effect of solution concentration on the structural and optical properties of the ZnO thin films. The obtained results of all thin films are discussed in detail and are compared with other experimental data.展开更多

The effect of (Ba+Sr)/Ti ratio deviating from the st...Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 (BST) thin films were fabricated on Pt coated Si (100) substrates by sol-gel techniques with molar ratio of (Ba+Sr) to Ti changing from 0.76 to 1.33. The effect of (Ba+Sr)/Ti ratio deviating from the stoichiometry on microstructure, grain growth, dielectric and tunable properties of BST thin films were investigated. TiO2 and (Ba,Sr)2TiO4 were found as a second phase at the ratios of 0.76 and 1.33, respectively. The variation of the ratio reveals more significant effect on the grain size in B-site rich samples than that in A-site rich samples. The dissipation factor decreases rapidly from 0.1 to 0.01 at 1 MHz with decreasing (Ba+Sr)/Ti ratio. The tunability increases with decreasing ratio from 1.33 to 1.05, and then decreases with decreasing ratio from 1.05 to 0.76. The film with (Ba+Sr)/Ti ratio of 1.05 has a maximum tunability of 32% and a dissipation factor of 0.03 at 1 MHz.展开更多
Tin oxide (SnO<sub>2</sub>) thin films were deposited on glass substrate by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD), Drop-Cast and Dip-Coating method. The thin films were post-annealed at 500°C for 2 hours....Tin oxide (SnO<sub>2</sub>) thin films were deposited on glass substrate by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD), Drop-Cast and Dip-Coating method. The thin films were post-annealed at 500°C for 2 hours. The structural, optical, and electrical properties of the SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films were investigated by using XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDX, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and Electrometer experiment. The XRD patterns of SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films deposited on glass substrate by CBD method, Drop-Cast method and Dip-Coating method showed cubic, tetragonal and amorphous structures respectively. The FTIR spectrum exhibited the strong presence of SnO<sub>2</sub> with the characteristic vibrational mode of Sn-O-Sn. The SEM analysis was observed that the surface morphology of the thin films toughly depends on the deposition methods of the SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films. EDX measurement confirmed that the thin films are the composition of Tin (Sn) and Oxygen (O<sub>2</sub>). The optical band gap of SnO<sub>2 </sub>thin films deposited by CBD method, Drop-Cast method and Dip-Coating method is found to be 3.12 eV, 3.14 eV and 3.16 eV respectively. Thin films deposited by Dip-Coating method showed the highest band gap. The electrical results confirmed that the SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films are good conductors and pursued Ohm’s Law. These properties of the SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films brand are appropriate for application in solar cell assembly, gas sensor devices and transparent electrodes of panel displays.展开更多

For comparis...In this paper, He’s variational iteration method is successfully employed to solve a nonlinear boundary value problem arising in the study of thin film flow of a third grade fluid down an inclined plane. For comparison, the same problem is solved by the Adomian decomposition method. The results show that the difference between the two solutions is negligible. The conclusion is that this technique may be considered an alternative and efficient method for finding approximate solutions of both linear and nonlinear boundary value problems. Furthermore, the variational iteration method has an advantage over the decomposition method in that it solves the nonlinear problems without using the Adomian polynomials.展开更多

文摘Ni0.4Cu0.2Zn0.4Fe2O4 thin films were fabricated on Si substrates by using the sol-gel method and rapid thermal annealing (RTA), and their magnetic properties and crystalline structures were investigated. The samples calcined at and above 600 ℃ have a single-phase spinel structure and the average grain size of the sample calcined at 600 ℃ is about 20 nm. The initial permeability μi, saturation magnetization M and coercivity H of the samples increase with the increasing calcination temperature. The sample calcined at 600 ℃ exhibits an excellent soft magnetic performance, which has μi=33.97 (10 MHz), Hc=15.62 Oe and Ms=228.877 emu/cm^3. Low-temperature annealing can enhance the magnetic properties of the samples. The work shows that using the sol-gel method in conjunction with RTA is a promising way to fabricate integrated thin-film devices.

文摘ZnSe/SiO2 composite thin films was prepared by sol-gel method. XRD results indicate the phase structure of ZnSe particles embedded in ZnSe/SiO2 composite thin films is sphalerite (cubic ZnS). Spectroscopic ellipsometers were used to investigated the dependences of ellipsometric angle with wavelength of ZnSe/SiO2 composite thin films. The optical constant, thickness, porosity and the concentration of ZnSe of ZnSe/SiO2 thin composite films were fitted according to Maxwell-Garnett effective medium theory. The thickness of ZnSe/SiO2 composite thin thin films was also measured through surface profile. The photoluminescence properties of ZnSe/SiO2 thin composite thin films was investigated through fluorescence spectrometer. The photoluminescence results show that the emission peak at 487 nm (2.5 eV) is excited at 395 nm corresponds to the band-to-band emission of sphalerite ZnSe crystal(2.58 eV). The strength free exciton emission and other emission peaks correlating to ZnSe lattice defect were also observed.
文摘Ti4+ substitution for Fe3+ in Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4(NZF) ferrite thin films were realized by sol-gel method and annealing at 600 ℃ for 30 min in the air. Crystal structure and lattice constant determination was performed by X-ray diffractometer(XRD). Surface microstructure was observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and atomic force microscope(AFM),and the magnetic properties were measured by vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM). XRD analyses of the samples show that Ni0.5+xZn0.5TixFe2-2xO4(NZTF) films with x varying from 0 to 0.15 in steps of 0.05 are composed of single phase with spinel structure. And the lattice parameter,particle size and the diffraction intensity of the films increase with substitution of Ti as the result of the larger radius ions entering the lattice. SEM and AFM show homogeneous grain size of each sample,but there is a few differences in grain size with different Ti-substitution contents. As the nonmagnetic Ti4+ substitutes Fe3+,both the saturation magnetization and coercivity decrease.

文摘The developed technique of diffusive gradients in thin film( DGT) has been suggested as a promising tool for evaluation of cadmium( Cd) availability in soils,but there exists considerable debate on its suitability. In this study,Cd bioavailability in soils was systemically investigated by comparing this technique with seven traditional methods, including soil solution concentration and six commonly used extraction methods( HAc,EDTA,Na c,NH4Ac,CaCl2 and MgCl2). Two typical plants( wheat and maize) were examined for Cd uptake. Maize was more sensitive to increasing exposure to Cd in soils than wheat when the added amounts of Cd ranged from 3. 5 to 5. 0 mg · kg-1,accompanied by the significant decreases of shoot and root biomasses. Cd concentrations in shoots and roots of two plants increased continuously with increasing levels of Cd in soils. Cd uptake was higher in wheat than that in maize. The bioavailable concentrations of Cd measured by all methods increased nearly linearly with increasing addition of Cd in soils. Positive correlations were observed between various bioavailable indicators of Cd in soils and Cd concentrations in two plants. The extractable Cd by six chemical extractants was considerably higher for maize than for wheat,while the DGT-measured and soil solution concentrations of Cd were lower for maize than for wheat,following the same trend as plant Cd uptake. The results imply that DGT measurement can effectively predict the bioavailable levels of Cd in soil solutions and that it is an ideal tool for prediction of Cd bioavailability in soils.
文摘The Taguchi method was used to obtain the optimum electrodeposition parameters for the synthesis of the CuInSe2 thin film for solar cells. The parameters consist of annealing temperature, current density, CuCl2 concentration, FeCl3 concentration, H2SeO3 concentration, TEA amount, pH value, and deposition time. The experiments were carried out according to an L18(2^13^7) table An X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and a scanning electron microscope (SEM) were respectively used to analyze the phases and observe the microstructure and the grain size of the CuInSe2 film before and after annealing treatment. The results showed that the CuInSe2 phase was deposited with a preferred plane (112) parallel to the substrate surface. The optimum parameters are as follows: current density, 7 mA/cm^2; CuCl2 concentration, 10 mM; FeCl3 concentration, 50 mM; H2SeO3 concentration, 15 mM; TEA amount, 0 mL; pH value, 1.65; deposition time, 10 min; and annealing temperature, 500℃.
文摘Transparent zinc oxide(ZnO) thin films are fabricated by a simple sol-gel spin-coating technique on glass substrates with different solution concentrations(0.3-1.2 M) using zinc acetate dehydrate [Zn(CH_3COO)_2·2H_2O] as precursor and isopropanol and monoethanolamine(MEA) as solvent and stabilizer, respectively. The molar ratio of zinc acetate dehydrate to MEA is 1.0. X-ray diffraction, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy are employed to investigate the effect of solution concentration on the structural and optical properties of the ZnO thin films. The obtained results of all thin films are discussed in detail and are compared with other experimental data.

文摘Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 (BST) thin films were fabricated on Pt coated Si (100) substrates by sol-gel techniques with molar ratio of (Ba+Sr) to Ti changing from 0.76 to 1.33. The effect of (Ba+Sr)/Ti ratio deviating from the stoichiometry on microstructure, grain growth, dielectric and tunable properties of BST thin films were investigated. TiO2 and (Ba,Sr)2TiO4 were found as a second phase at the ratios of 0.76 and 1.33, respectively. The variation of the ratio reveals more significant effect on the grain size in B-site rich samples than that in A-site rich samples. The dissipation factor decreases rapidly from 0.1 to 0.01 at 1 MHz with decreasing (Ba+Sr)/Ti ratio. The tunability increases with decreasing ratio from 1.33 to 1.05, and then decreases with decreasing ratio from 1.05 to 0.76. The film with (Ba+Sr)/Ti ratio of 1.05 has a maximum tunability of 32% and a dissipation factor of 0.03 at 1 MHz.
文摘Tin oxide (SnO<sub>2</sub>) thin films were deposited on glass substrate by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD), Drop-Cast and Dip-Coating method. The thin films were post-annealed at 500°C for 2 hours. The structural, optical, and electrical properties of the SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films were investigated by using XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDX, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and Electrometer experiment. The XRD patterns of SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films deposited on glass substrate by CBD method, Drop-Cast method and Dip-Coating method showed cubic, tetragonal and amorphous structures respectively. The FTIR spectrum exhibited the strong presence of SnO<sub>2</sub> with the characteristic vibrational mode of Sn-O-Sn. The SEM analysis was observed that the surface morphology of the thin films toughly depends on the deposition methods of the SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films. EDX measurement confirmed that the thin films are the composition of Tin (Sn) and Oxygen (O<sub>2</sub>). The optical band gap of SnO<sub>2 </sub>thin films deposited by CBD method, Drop-Cast method and Dip-Coating method is found to be 3.12 eV, 3.14 eV and 3.16 eV respectively. Thin films deposited by Dip-Coating method showed the highest band gap. The electrical results confirmed that the SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films are good conductors and pursued Ohm’s Law. These properties of the SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films brand are appropriate for application in solar cell assembly, gas sensor devices and transparent electrodes of panel displays.
文摘In this paper, He’s variational iteration method is successfully employed to solve a nonlinear boundary value problem arising in the study of thin film flow of a third grade fluid down an inclined plane. For comparison, the same problem is solved by the Adomian decomposition method. The results show that the difference between the two solutions is negligible. The conclusion is that this technique may be considered an alternative and efficient method for finding approximate solutions of both linear and nonlinear boundary value problems. Furthermore, the variational iteration method has an advantage over the decomposition method in that it solves the nonlinear problems without using the Adomian polynomials.
