Quasi-Green's function is established by the fundamental solution and the boundary equation of the problem. The function satisfies the homogeneous boundary condition of tile problem. The mode-shape differential equation of the free vibration problem of clamped thin plates on the Winkler foundation is reduced to the Fredholm integral equation of the second kind by Green's formula. The irregularity of the kernel of the integral equation is overcome by choosing a suitable form of the normalized boundary equation. The numerical results show the high accuracy of the proposed method.展开更多
AIM To explore the differences in the responses of left-sided colorectal cancer(LSCRC) and right-sided colon cancer(RSCC) to traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).METHODS Patients with postoperative stage I-III colorectal...AIM To explore the differences in the responses of left-sided colorectal cancer(LSCRC) and right-sided colon cancer(RSCC) to traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).METHODS Patients with postoperative stage I-III colorectal cancer(CRC) were enrolled and divided into the LSCRC with or without TCM and RSCC with or without TCM groups depending on the primary tumor side and TCM administration. Patients in the TCM group were given TCM for at least 6 mo. Our research adopted diseasefree survival(DFS) as the primary endpoint. We applied a Cox proportional hazards regression model for the multivariate factor analysis using Stata 12.0 and SPSS 22.0 software for data analysis.RESULTS Of the 817 patients included in our study, 617 had LSCRC(TCM group, n = 404; Non-TCM group, n = 213), and 200 had RSCC(TCM group, n = 132; NonTCM group, n = 68). The 6-year DFS for patients with LSCRC was 56.95% in the TCM group and 41.50% in the Non-TCM group(P = 0.000). For patients with RSCC, the 6-year DFS was 52.92% in the TCM group and 37.19% in the Non-TCM group(P = 0.003). Differences between LSCRC and RSCC were not statistically significant regardless of TCM ingestion.CONCLUSION Patients with either LSCRC or RSCC and who took TCM experienced longer DFS; furthermore, patients with RSCC benefited more from TCM in DFS.展开更多
A new kind of quadrilateral assumed stress hy- brid membrane element with drilling degrees of freedom and a traction-free inclined side has been developed based on an extended Hellinger-Reissner principle which is est...A new kind of quadrilateral assumed stress hy- brid membrane element with drilling degrees of freedom and a traction-free inclined side has been developed based on an extended Hellinger-Reissner principle which is established by expanding the essential terms of the assumed stress field as polynomials in the natural coordinates of the element. The homogeneous equilibrium equations are imposed in a variational sense through the internal displacements which are also expanded in the natural coordinates, while the tractionfree conditions along the inclined side are satisfied exactly. The use of such special element in the finite element solution is shown to be highly accurate when only a very coarse element mesh is used for plates with V-shaped rounded notches or inclined sides.展开更多
The present paper covers the synthesis and characterization of several intermediate products, monomer, and polymers. 3-{ 2-[ 4-( 4-Nitrophenylazo ) phenoxy] ethyloxycarbonyl} propanoyloxy (2-hydroxy) propyl acrylate (...The present paper covers the synthesis and characterization of several intermediate products, monomer, and polymers. 3-{ 2-[ 4-( 4-Nitrophenylazo ) phenoxy] ethyloxycarbonyl} propanoyloxy (2-hydroxy) propyl acrylate (4) was prepared by the ring-opening reaction of glycidyl acrylate with the monoester of succinic acid (3). The polymers (5) with different molecular weights were prepared by the free-radical polymerization. The polymers (5) had liquid crystalline behavior without decomposition as revealed by DSC, optical microscope.展开更多
