The three-photon absorption (3PA) properties of two thiophene-fluorene derivatives (abbreviated as MOTFTBr and ATFTBr) have been determined by using a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser pumped with 38ps pulses at 1064nm in DMF. The measured 3PA cross-sections are 152×10^-78cm^6s^2 and 139× 10^-78cm^6s^2, respectively. The optimized structures were obtained by AM1 calculations and the results indicate that these two molecules show nonplanar structures, and attaching different donors has different effects on the molecular structure. The charge density distributions during the excitation were also systematically studied by using AM1 method. In addition, an obvious optical power limiting effect induced by 3PA has been demonstrated for both derivatives. 展开更多

Enhancing the upconversion luminescence of rare earth ions is crucial for their applications in the laser sources,fiber optic communications,color displays,biolabeling,and biomedical sensors.In this paper,we theoretically study the resonance-mediated(1+2)-three-photon absorption in Pr^(3+) ions by a rectangle phase modulation.The results show that the resonance-mediated(1+2)-three-photon absorption can be effectively enhanced by properly designing the depth and width of the rectangle phase modulation,which can be attributed to the constructive interference between on-resonant and near-resonant three-photon excitation pathways.Further,the enhancement efficiency of resonance-mediated(1+2)-threephoton absorption can be affected by the pulse width(or spectral bandwidth)of femtosecond laser field,final state transition frequency,and absorption bandwidths.This research can provide a clear physical picture for understanding and controlling the multi-photon absorption in rare-earth ions,and also can provide theoretical guidance for improving the up-conversion luminescence. 展开更多

Ozone absorption cross sections have been reported with discrepancies and inconsistencies. In this paper, simultaneous effects of the optical path length and temperature variations on ozone gas absorption cross sections are investigated at different wavelengths. HITRAN 2012, the latest available line list on spectralcalc.com simulator, is used in this study to simulate ozone gas absorption cross sections in relation to the simultaneous effects of the optical path length and temperature at the wavelengths of 603 nm and 575 nm. Results obtained for gas cells with the optical path length from 10 cm to 120 cm show that the decrease in temperatures from 313 K to 103 K results in the increase in ozone gas absorption cross sections. At wavelengths of 603 nm and 575 nm, the percentage increase of ozone gas absorption cross sections is 1.22% and 0.71%, respectively. Results obtained in this study show that in the visible spectrum, at constant pressure, ozone gas absorption cross sections are dependent on the temperature and wavelength but do not depend on the optical path length. Analysis in this work addresses discrepancies in ozone gas absorption cross sections in relation to the temperature in the visible spectrum; thus, the results can be applied to get optimal configuration of high accuracy ozone gas sensors. 展开更多

The peak energy density w0P of second harmonic pulses of a mode-locked titanium sapphire laser at wavelength λP = 400 nm is determined by nonlinear energy transmission measurement TE through the dye ADS084BE (1,4-bis(9-ethyl-3-car-bazovinylene)-2-methoxy-5-(2’-ethyl-hexyloxy)-benzene) in tetrahydrofuran. TE(w0P) calibration curves are calculated for laser pulse peak energy density reading w0P from measured pulse energy transmissions TE. The ground-state absorption cross-section σP and the excited-state absorption cross-section σex at λP, and the number density N0 of the retinal Schiff base isoform RetA in pH 7.4 buffer of the blue-light adapted recombinant rhodopsin fragment of the histidine kinase rhodopsin HKR1 from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii were determined by picosecond titanium sapphire second harmonic laser pulse energy transmission measurement TE through RetA as a function of laser input peak energy density w0P. Developing ultrabroad radar-infrared compatible stealth materials has turned into a research hotspot,which is still a problem to be solved.Herein,the copper sulfide wrapped by reduced graphene oxide to obtain three-dimensional(3D)porous network composite aerogels(CuS@rGO)were synthesized via thermal reduction ways(hydrothermal,ascorbic acid reduction)and freeze-drying strategy.It was discovered that the phase components(rGO and CuS phases)and micro/nano structure(microporous and nanosheet)were well-modified by modulating the additive amounts of CuS and changing the reduction ways,which resulted in the variation of the pore structure,defects,complex permittivity,microwave absorption,radar cross section(RCS)reduction value and infrared(IR)emissivity.Notably,the obtained CuS@rGO aerogels with a single dielectric loss type can achieve an ultrabroad bandwidth of 8.44 GHz at 2.8 mm with the low filler content of 6 wt%by a hydrothermal method.Besides,the composite aerogel via the ascorbic acid reduction realizes the minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of−60.3 dB with the lower filler content of 2 wt%.The RCS reduction value can reach 53.3 dB m^(2),which effectively reduces the probability of the target being detected by the radar detector.Furthermore,the laminated porous architecture and multicomponent endowed composite aerogels with thermal insulation and IR stealth versatility.Thus,this work offers a facile method to design and develop porous rGO-based composite aerogel absorbers with radar-IR compatible stealth. 展开更多

Wideband radar cross section reduction based on absorptive coding metasurface with compound stealth mechanism

A scheme of combing wave absorption and phase cancellation mechanisms for widening radar cross section(RCS)reduction band is proposed.An absorptive coding metasurface implementing this scheme is derived from traditional circuit analog absorber(CAA)composed of resistive ring elements which characterize dual resonances behavior.It is constructed by replacing some of the CAA elements by another kind of resistive ring elements which is singly resonant in between the original two resonant bands and has reflection phase opposite to that of the original elements at resonance.Hence the developed metasurface achieves an improved low-RCS band over which the lower and higher sub-bands are mainly contributed by wave absorption mainly while the middle sub-band is formed by joint effect of wave absorption and antiphase cancellation mechanisms.The polarization-independent wideband RCS reduction property of the metasurface is validated by full-wave simulation results of a preliminary and an advanced design examples which employ the same element configuration but different element layout schemes as partitioned distribution and random coding.The advanced design also exhibits broadband bistatic low-RCS property and keeps a stable specular RCS reduction performance with regard to incident elevation angle up to 35◦.The advanced design is fabricated and the experimental results of the sample agrees qualitatively well with their simulated counterparts.The measured figure of merit(i.e.,low-RCS bandwidth ratio versus electrical thickness)of the sample is 40.572,which is superior to or comparable with those for most of other existing metasurface with compound RCS reduction mechanism.The proposed compound metasurface technique also features simple structure,light weight,low cost and easy fabrication compared with other techniques.This makes it promising in applications such as radar stealth and electromagnetic compatibility. 展开更多

中子辐射俘获反应在反应堆运行、核装置设计及核天体物理研究中起重要的作用.4πBaF_(2)探测装置有着高时间分辨能力、低中子灵敏度、高探测效率等优点,适合开展中子辐射俘获反应截面数据的测量.中国原子能科学研究院核数据重点实验室... 中子辐射俘获反应在反应堆运行、核装置设计及核天体物理研究中起重要的作用.4πBaF_(2)探测装置有着高时间分辨能力、低中子灵敏度、高探测效率等优点,适合开展中子辐射俘获反应截面数据的测量.中国原子能科学研究院核数据重点实验室建立了伽马全吸收装置(Gamma total absorption facility,GTAF),该装置用28块六棱BaF_(2)晶体和12块五棱BaF_(2)晶体构成了外径25 cm,内径10 cm的球壳,覆盖了95.2%的立体角.利用GTAF在中国散裂中子源Back-n束线上,测量了197Au(n,γ)的反应截面数据.测量数据通过能量筛选、PSD方法、晶体多重性筛选进行了初步本底扣除,随后结合对^(nat)C及空样品的测量数据对本底进行了分析及扣除,获得了197Au俘获反应的产额,利用SAMMY程序拟合得到了^(197)Au在1—100 e V的共振能量、中子共振宽度和伽马共振宽度参数.实验测量结果与ENDF/B-VIII.0数据库符合良好,其共振参数存在一定差异,分析原因可能与GTAF能量分辨率、Back-n的中子能谱测量精度、以及实验本底扣除方法相关,这也是下一步工作的重点. 展开更多

为了研究大型客机货舱地板下部结构吸能特性,在已开展的3框两跨货舱地板下部结构落重冲击试验基础上,建立了结构的细节有限元模型,开展了坠撞动力学仿真分析。与试验结果对比分析了货舱地板下部结构的变形模式、关键点位移及落重速度变... 为了研究大型客机货舱地板下部结构吸能特性,在已开展的3框两跨货舱地板下部结构落重冲击试验基础上,建立了结构的细节有限元模型,开展了坠撞动力学仿真分析。与试验结果对比分析了货舱地板下部结构的变形模式、关键点位移及落重速度变化情况等,并得到了各部件能量吸收情况。研究结果表明:货舱地板下部结构有限元模型总体刚度与试验件基本相同,验证了有限元模型和材料模型的准确性。建立了货舱地板下部结构垂直坠撞工况模型,验证了货舱地板下部结构垂直坠撞与落重冲击工况的等效性。同时建立货舱地板下部结构垂直坠撞俯仰(3°,5°,7°和9°)与滚转(3°,5°,7°和9°)模型,通过变形模式及吸能分析对比,进行了俯仰、滚转对货舱地板下部结构适坠性的影响分析。结果显示,货舱地板下部结构俯仰及滚转对框组件、立柱及横梁变形和吸能有较大的影响。货舱地板下部结构适坠性研究可以为客舱地板下部结构适坠性设计和分析研究提供技术支持。 展开更多

Water equivalence of some 3D dosimeters:a theoretical study based on the effective atomic number and effective fast neutron removal cross section

Effective atomic numbers for photon energy absorption(ZPEA_(eff)) and their corresponding electron numbers (NPEA_(eff)), and effective macroscopic removal cross sections of fast neutrons(RR) were calculated for 27 different types of three-dimensional dosimeters, four types of phantom materials, and water. The values of ZPEA_(eff) and NPEA_(eff) were obtained using the direct method for energies ranging from 10 keV to 20 MeV. Results are presented relative to water, for direct comparison over the range of examined energies. The effect of monomers that are used in polymer gel dosimeters on the water equivalence is discussed. The relation between Σ_R and hydrogen content was studied. Micelle gel dosimeters are highly promising because our results demonstrate perfect matching between the effective atomic number, electron density number, and fast neutron attenuation coefficient of water. 展开更多

We investigate the differential cross sections (DCS) of elastic electron scattering from CH4, CF4 and SF6 at six impact energies in a range of 100 700eV by employing the independent atom model (IAM) together with the relativistic partial waves. The atom is present in an optical potential which is complex, spherically symmetric, and energy dependent. The optical potential of the atom is the sum of the direct static, dynamic polarization, local exchange and modified absorption potentials. The results obtained by using a modified absorption potential show significant improvements on the unmodified absorption potential results. The present results are generally in good agreement with experimental data available. In addition, the present results indicate that the structure of molecule manifests the observable effects on electron- molecule scattering. 展开更多
