A new singularity extraction technique is presented to calculate accurately the singular integrals in Time Domain Electric Field Integral Equation (TDEFIE).In singularity extraction pro- cedure,through the aid of the ...A new singularity extraction technique is presented to calculate accurately the singular integrals in Time Domain Electric Field Integral Equation (TDEFIE).In singularity extraction pro- cedure,through the aid of the first order Taylor series of time base function including time-retardation,the singularity of the integrand can be removed.The surface current density and backscattered far-field response of a conducting cube illuminated by a Gaussian plane wave is com- puted using the presented technique.Comparisons are made with the results obtained by the Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT) of the frequency domain and the results obtained by using Ve- chinski's time averaging technique,which demonstrate that the presented method with this new time domain singularity extraction technique to solve TDEFIE is very accurate and stable.展开更多

Modeling method for generating non-stationary fluctuating winds with probabilistic model for non-stationary strong wind fields is first presented. Non-stationary wind forces induced by strong winds on bridge deck and tower are then given a brief introduction. Finally,Non-stationary buffeting response of Pulite Bridge in China,a long span suspension bridge,is computed by using ANSYS software under four working conditions with different combination of time-varying mean wind and time-varying variance. The case study further confirms that it is necessity of considering non-stationary buffeting response for long span suspension bridge under strong wind loading,rather than only stationary buffeting response.展开更多
Because of its very low light extraction efficiency(LEE),LED is limited to be widely used under the condition of the internal quantum efficiency which up to 90%.In order to fullfill the design of a more efficient GaN-...Because of its very low light extraction efficiency(LEE),LED is limited to be widely used under the condition of the internal quantum efficiency which up to 90%.In order to fullfill the design of a more efficient GaN-based blue light LED,the model including deeply etched surface photonic crystals(PhCs)LED is discussed using mode analysis method from light waveguide theory.The distributions of all order modes in GaN layer are obtained by the effective index approximation.The light extraction efficiencies are also calculated by finite-difference time-domain method(FDTD).The emulated results fully coincide with the former analysis.Because the manufacture of the surface photonic crystal is feasible,the work can be very meaningful to design and manufacture the high efficiency GaN-based blue light LED in factory for a large amount.展开更多
