Approaches to the systematic tourism planning-a case study of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

The rapid development of tourism makes a further demand for tourism planning in China. It is necessary to find out some new effective approaches and patterns to guarantee the continuity andpracticality of the planning. The approach of systematic tourism planning is a way along this line.This paper advances the theory that the tourism planning is in fact the Systematic tourism planningand that the planning must take into account the operation of the whole tourism system and befocused on the general optimization of all the subjects concerned. Besides, the planning should bemulti-dimensional. must optimize and balance the economic, environmental and social-culturalfactors in achieving sustainable development and must be monitored to ensure the accomplishment ofthe objectives and the implementation of the recommended policy. The systematic planning shouldalso embody a continuity or a guideline of progressiveness, with an adaptability to the possiblechanges in the future . The paper, with the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region as a case, gives a briefpresentation of the overall theoretical pattern of the systematic tourism planning, the essentialelements in the systematic planning and the practicable approaches.

Food Tourism Planning Support System within Urban Sightseeing Areas in Japan

The present study aimed to design, develop, operate and evaluate a tourism planning support system that can be used to decide on places to eat lunch and dinner, sightseeing spots to visit along the way, and routes for visiting these destinations. This system was developed by integrating a web geographic information system (Web-GIS) and a sightseeing plan creation system (an eatery search system and a sightseeing route creation system). Additionally, the system was operated for one month in Central Yokohama City of Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan, and the total number of users was 79. Based on the results of the web questionnaire survey, user evaluations were particularly high for the function of sightseeing spot selection and the function of display of sightseeing plan information, and also for the entire system. From the results of the access analysis of users’ log data, the total number of sessions in the system was 263, 67% used mobile devices, and smartphones were used most frequently. Therefore, it is evident that the system was used by different types of devices just as it was designed for, and that the system was used according to the purpose of the present study, which is to support the food tourism planning of users.

Tourism-guided Planning of Immigrant Relocation:A Case Study of Phoenix Mountain Resort Park in Hanyin County, South Shaanxi

The implementation of the rural resettlement policy in southern Shaanxi has produced a lot of rural immigrants that need urgent resettlement. The subsequent settlement problem is the core issue of migration policy. All kinds of special background and demand of these "rural immigrants" put forward new requirements for resettlement planning. This paper explored the planning of rural immigrant relocation under the guidance of tourism industry, so as to create a new living environment for immigrants inheriting traditional cultural context, and revitalize the new urbanization of south Shaanxi. First, the paper briefly introduced the background of the rural resettlement policy in south Shaanxi. Second, taking the Phoenix Mountain Resort Park in Hanyin County for example, this paper used SWOT to analyze the feasibility of immigrant relocation in comprehensive tourist service area. Third, this paper elaborated the specific concepts and schemes.

The Problems and Measures for Small Tourism Town Development in China:A Case Study of Wan Town

With the rapid development of tourism and urbanization in China,small tourism towns gradually grow toward prosperity.This paper takes Wan Town as an example to analyze the problem and countermeasures concerning the development of small tourism towns in China.There are a series of issues in the process of development of Wan Town,which includes uncoordinated architectural style,inaccurate market positioning,repeated cultural themes,and vulnerable linkage of the industrial chain.Based on the factor analysis,these development issues were classified into three categories:confusing architectural style,repetitive cultural theme,and weak linkage of industrial chain.To achieve the goal of sustainable development of small tourism towns,some countermeasures must be taken which include promoting the development of small tourism towns with the new rural revitalization,strengthening services improvement in small tourism towns,gathering industrial elements related to the tourism industry,and increasing tourism cultural connotation.

Analysis of Local Features and Shaping of Rural Tourism in Kuandian of Liaoning Province

In the process of rural tourism development and planning,local features and related concepts have attracted more and more attention from scholars with the deepening of development. As one form of places,rural areas have extraordinary significance,so the participation of local residents,the integration of traditional culture and the inheritance of local features should be fully taken into account in the development of rural tourism. However,some local governments refuse to focus on local features in the process of rural tourism planning,so the planning and development of rural tourism in many places are similar and can't reflect the unique features of local culture. Therefore,this paper takes Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County in Liaoning Province as an example,which has rich rural tourism resources and unique features,and conducts research on the tourism planning with local features from local perspective.
