Contribution of the MERISE-Type Conceptual Data Model to the Construction of Monitoring and Evaluation Indicators of the Effectiveness of Training in Relation to the Needs of the Labor Market in the Republic of Congo

This study proposes the use of the MERISE conceptual data model to create indicators for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of vocational training in the Republic of Congo. The importance of MERISE for structuring and analyzing data is underlined, as it enables the measurement of the adequacy between training and the needs of the labor market. The innovation of the study lies in the adaptation of the MERISE model to the local context, the development of innovative indicators, and the integration of a participatory approach including all relevant stakeholders. Contextual adaptation and local innovation: The study suggests adapting MERISE to the specific context of the Republic of Congo, considering the local particularities of the labor market. Development of innovative indicators and new measurement tools: It proposes creating indicators to assess skills matching and employer satisfaction, which are crucial for evaluating the effectiveness of vocational training. Participatory approach and inclusion of stakeholders: The study emphasizes actively involving training centers, employers, and recruitment agencies in the evaluation process. This participatory approach ensures that the perspectives of all stakeholders are considered, leading to more relevant and practical outcomes. Using the MERISE model allows for: • Rigorous data structuring, organization, and standardization: Clearly defining entities and relationships facilitates data organization and standardization, crucial for effective data analysis. • Facilitation of monitoring, analysis, and relevant indicators: Developing both quantitative and qualitative indicators helps measure the effectiveness of training in relation to the labor market, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation. • Improved communication and common language: By providing a common language for different stakeholders, MERISE enhances communication and collaboration, ensuring that all parties have a shared understanding. The study’s approach and contribution to existing research lie in: • Structured theoretical and practical framework and holistic approach: The study offers a structured framework for data collection and analysis, covering both quantitative and qualitative aspects, thus providing a comprehensive view of the training system. • Reproducible methodology and international comparison: The proposed methodology can be replicated in other contexts, facilitating international comparison and the adoption of best practices. • Extension of knowledge and new perspective: By integrating a participatory approach and developing indicators adapted to local needs, the study extends existing research and offers new perspectives on vocational training evaluation.

Research on Training Needs,Training Transfer,and Training Effectiveness of In-Service Teachers in Local Normal Colleges

This study aims to understand the in-service training needs,training transfer,and training effectiveness of teachers in local normal universities in China,while also proposing a continuous professional development plan for teachers.Descriptive research methods were employed,with questionnaires serving as the primary data collection tool.The survey revealed that the educational background of teachers in local normal universities is characterized by an unreasonable distribution of academic qualifications,with a shortage of teachers holding postgraduate and higher degrees.Additionally,the training effectiveness for female teachers was found to be lower than that of male teachers.There is a lack of personalization in training needs,which tends to be more generalized.The transfer effect of training is moderate,and there is a need for further enhancement at the behavioral level of training effectiveness.A continuous professional development plan for teachers has been formulated to improve training effectiveness and promote professional development.

Effect of Mouth Opening Training Stick Combined with Oral Massage on Mouth Opening Difficulty in Head and Neck Cancer Patients after Treatment

Objective: To study the application effect of mouth-opening training sticks combined with oral massage on patients with mouth-opening difficulty after treatment for head and neck cancer. Methods: Using convenient sampling, 60 patients with mouth-opening difficulty after treatment for head and neck cancer admitted to the Oncology Department from February 2022 to October 2023 were selected for a 2-week exercise and nursing program. The patients were divided into a control group (February 1, 2022 to November 30, 2022) and an observation group (December 1, 2022 to October 31, 2023), with 30 patients in each group. The control group underwent routine mouth-opening functional exercises combined with cork for oral support training, while the observation group underwent routine mouth-opening functional exercises combined with oral massage and mouth-opening training sticks for oral support training. The mouth-opening degree, mouth-opening difficulty level, comfort level, compliance, and quality of life were observed in both groups. Results: Before the intervention, there were no statistically significant differences in mouth-opening degree and mouth-opening difficulty level between the two groups (P > 0.05). After the intervention, the mouth-opening degree, mouth-opening difficulty level, oral comfort level, compliance, and QLICP-HN scores in the observation group were all better than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of mouth-opening training sticks and oral massage with mouth-opening functional exercises can effectively improve the degree of mouth-opening difficulty, enhance oral comfort, increase compliance with mouth-opening exercises, and improve quality of life.

A Controlled Study of the Effectiveness of EEG Biofeedback Training on Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

In order to study the treatment of the children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the integrated visual and auditory continuous performance test (IVA-CPT) was clinically applied to evaluate the effectiveness of electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback training. Of all the 60 children with ADHD aged more than 6 years, the effective rate of EEG biofeedback training was 91.6 % after 40 sessions of EEG biofeedback training. Before and after treatment by EEG biofeedback training, the overall indexes of IVA were significantly improved among predominately inattentive, hyperactive, and combined subtype of children with ADHD (P<0.001). It was suggested that EEG biofeedback training was an effective and vital treatment on children with ADHD.

Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation of Training Effect on Human Resource Development

On the basis of the essential connotation of the training effect on human resource development and the basic principles of setting up a index system, the evaluation index system of the training effect on human resource development in enterprises has been established. It evaluates the training effect on human resource development with the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and achieves better results. It also provides a scientific, practical and quantitative method for the systematic analysis and comprehensive evaluation of the training effect on human resource development.

Rural Labor Force Transfer Training Effects Evaluation by Matching Methods: Evidence from Yunnan Province of China

Rural labor force transfer training is one of important poverty alleviation measures in China. This paper describes training participation situation and evaluates training effects by matching methods in the case of coastal autonomous minority nationality areas of Yunnan province by using 2053 rural household data. The result shows that the average training participation from 2006 to 2008 is 26.39 percent. In addition, ATE is 18.33 percent, TT is 18.99 percent, TUT is 18.09 percent. And,TUT . It demonstrates that the rural labor force transfer training program is effective and well-directed in coastal autonomous minority nationality areas of Yunnan province of China.

Asymmetric exchange bias training effect in spin glass(FeAu)/FeNi bilayers

A significant exchange bias （EB） traimng ettect has been observea in sputter deposited FeAu/FeNi bilayers, wherein the exchange field （HE） exhibits a special sign-changeable temperature dependence. Very interestingly, despite the absence of multiple easy axes in the FeAu spin glass （SG） layer, HE drops abruptly between the first and second magnetic cycles, which is followed by a more gradual continuous change in the subsequent cycles. This training behavior cannot be described by the empirical n-1/2 law because of the asymmetric magnetization reversal processes. We propose modifying Binek＇s model to include the asymmetric changes of the pinning SG spins at the descending and ascending branches. This new model successfully describes the EB training effect in FeAu/FeNi bilayers.

Evaluation of Training Course Effects on Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Counseling

Objective To evaluate the training course effects on integrated sexual and reproductive health （SRH） counseling, so as to improve family planning providers＇ capacities of SRH counseling. Methods The SRH training course was conducted by using new curriculum and participatory training methods. The purpose was meeting the SRH needs of clients. Evaluations were done by pre- and post-training questionnaires to trainees. Results The average total scores of trainees were 54.9 before trained and 83.4 after trained respectively. As to trainees＇ self evaluation of the capacities, the capacity for comfortably discussing sexuality and related issues with clients increased from 9.9% to 90.7%, the capacity for helping clients to understand their sexual risk factors increased from 12.5% to 92.2%, the capacity for helping clients assessing their own needs for SRH services, information and emotional support increased from 16.0% to 87.8%, and the capacity for helping clients to develop negotiation and communication skills increased from 12.0% to 86. 0%. Conclusion The training course of integrated SRH counseling changed the traditional training types and services concept o f family planning service providers, and the trainees＇ capacities of implementing integrated SRH counseling also improved very much.

Effect of Training on Two-way Shape Memory Effect and Its Stability in a Ti-Ni-Hf High Temperature Shape Memory Alloy

The Effect of the thermal cycling training under constant strain on the two-way shape memory effect (TWSME) in a Ti36l\li49Hf15 high temperature shape memory alloy (SMA) has been investigated by bending tests. The results indicated that the training procedure is beneficial to get the better TWSME. The two-way shape memory strain increases with increasing the training strain. And it decreases with increasing the training temperature. The TWSME obtained in the present alloy shows poorer stability compared with that obtained in the TiNi alloys.

Evaluation Model of Farmer Training Effect Based on AHP–A Case Study of Hainan Province

On the basis of studying the influencing factors of training effect evaluation,this paper constructs an AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for farmers’vocational training activities in Hainan Province to evaluate farmers’training effect,which overcomes the limitations of traditional methods.Firstly,the content and index system of farmer training effect evaluation are established by analytic hierarchy process,and the weight value of each index is determined.Then,the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation(FCE)of farmer training effect is carried out by using multi-level FCE.The joint use of AHP and FCE improves the reliability and effectiveness of the evaluation process and results.The overall comprehensive evaluation result of the farmer training effect evaluation is“good”.

Examining the Effectiveness of Virtual Training under the Kirkpatrick Model:A Post-COVID Study

Teaching and training through online tools were used by most Higher Education Institute(HEIs)worldwide during COVID-19 to cater to the needs of students who stay far away from educational institutions.After the pandemic,the virtual model of education and training became a trend.The students and teachers are also more used to this trend which is giving more opportunities to both learners and instructors.One of the notable benefits of virtual teaching and learning platform is that it provides a flexible environment to gain knowledge,skills,and attitude simultaneously along with formal off-line education.From the earlier studies it is found that the majority of studies have focused on traditional,offline training methods and only a few studies have focused on virtual training.Therefore,the present study examined the effectiveness of virtual training using the Kirkpatrick model.For this purpose,a research instrument based on the Kirkpatrick model was constructed and distributed among the UG and PG students in Mangalore City.A total of 143 responses were collected,of which 132 were completed responses and all of them were considered for analysis.Descriptive statistics and one sample t-test are employed to analyse and interpret the data.The findings revealed that virtual training is more effective compared to traditional and offline training methods.Henceforth,the training and education provided through virtual platforms made significant contributions to the employability of youngsters.

Changes in brain activation patterns according to cross-training effect in serial reaction time task An functional MRI study

Cross-training is a phenomenon related to motor learning, where motor performance of the untrained limb shows improvement in strength and skill execution following unilateral training of the homologous contralateral limb. We used functional MRI to investigate whether motor performance of the untrained limb could be improved using a serial reaction time task according to motor sequential learning of the trained limb, and whether these skill acquisitions led to changes in brain activation patterns. We recruited 20 right-handed healthy subjects, who were randomly allocated into training and control groups. The training group was trained in performance of a serial reaction time task using their non-dominant left hand, 40 minutes per day, for 10 days, over a period of 2 weeks. The control group did not receive training. Measurements of response time and percentile of response accuracy were performed twice during pre- and post-training, while brain functional MRI was scanned during performance of the serial reaction time task using the untrained right hand. In the training group, prominent changes in response time and percentile of response accuracy were observed in both the untrained right hand and the trained left hand between pre- and post-training. The control group showed no significant changes in the untrained hand between pre- and post-training. In the training group, the activated volume of the cortical areas related to motor function （i.e., primary motor cortex, premotor area, posterior parietal cortex） showed a gradual decrease, and enhanced cerebellar activation of the vermis and the newly activated ipsilateral dentate nucleus were observed during performance of the serial reaction time task using the untrained right hand, accompanied by the cross-motor learning effect. However, no significant changes were observed in the control group. Our findings indicate that motor skills learned over the 2-week training using the trained limb were transferred to the opposite homologous limb, and motor skill acquisition of the untrained limb led to changes in brain activation patterns in the cerebral cortex and cerebellum.

The Effect of Functional Training on the Performance of Female Handball Players’Shooting Skills

A randomized grouping experiment was conducted to study the effect of 8-week functional training on shooting performance of Beijing female handball players.According to the athletes’FMS(functional movement screening)scoring results,they were randomly divided into 2 groups.The experimental group adopted an 8-week functional training,aiming at strengthening their core strength,joint stability,and the power chain of shooting techniques.The control group adopted the traditional strength training mode.ANOVA(analysis of variance)was adopted to analyze the different performance of the athletes from two groups on their FMS scores,distances of throwing,and 7-meter shooting speed before and after the experiment.The results show that:(1)the total FMS scores of the experimental group athletes have been increased more significantly than those of the control group,and the injuries per capita has been significantly reduced;(2)the athletes in the experimental group have more significantly improved performance in handball throwing and 7-meter shooting speed than those in the control group.It shows that 8 weeks of functional training may effectively improve the physical function of Beijing female handball players and their performance in two special skills of handball throwing and shooting speed.

Semi-supervised LIBS quantitative analysis method based on co-training regression model with selection of effective unlabeled samples

The accuracy of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) quantitative method is greatly dependent on the amount of certified standard samples used for training. However, in practical applications, only limited standard samples with labeled certified concentrations are available. A novel semi-supervised LIBS quantitative analysis method is proposed, based on co-training regression model with selection of effective unlabeled samples. The main idea of the proposed method is to obtain better regression performance by adding effective unlabeled samples in semisupervised learning. First, effective unlabeled samples are selected according to the testing samples by Euclidean metric. Two original regression models based on least squares support vector machine with different parameters are trained by the labeled samples separately, and then the effective unlabeled samples predicted by the two models are used to enlarge the training dataset based on labeling confidence estimation. The final predictions of the proposed method on the testing samples will be determined by weighted combinations of the predictions of two updated regression models. Chromium concentration analysis experiments of 23 certified standard high-alloy steel samples were carried out, in which 5 samples with labeled concentrations and 11 unlabeled samples were used to train the regression models and the remaining 7 samples were used for testing. With the numbers of effective unlabeled samples increasing, the root mean square error of the proposed method went down from 1.80% to 0.84% and the relative prediction error was reduced from 9.15% to 4.04%.

Effect of Training Nurses in ICU in Immediate Care Post Cardiac Surgery

The specialty of cardiovascular surgical nursing has advanced patient care significantly both before and after surgery, and it is now a well-established field. The primary goal of cardiovascular surgical nursing is to optimize the patient's recovery and prevent complications. Immediate nursing care for post-operative cardiac patients in a state of controlled shock due to fluid shift and varying vascular tone. Aim of the Study: Assessment of nurse’s knowledge and performance after the training program of nursing care immediately after a patient arrives from cardiac surgery. Methods: This pre and post-intervention study was conducted at cardiac centers in Sudan Alshaab and Ahmed Gasim Cardiac Center. The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact on nurses’ performance after training program post open-heart surgery. In the initial phase of the study, all 98 nurses working in the intensive care units at Alshaab and Ahmed Gasim cardiac centers were designated as the study group and evaluated before the intervention. Subsequently, the same group was reassessed after the intervention (phase 2), allowing for a comparison of the pre- and post-intervention results. The assessment involved the use of a specifically designed questionnaire and an observation checklist developed in accordance with the standards recommended by the American Nurses Association (phase 3). Result: Descriptive analysis was performed using the Chi-square test, the difference in the performance between the study group before intervention and after the intervention was assessed by the mean of chi-square significantly was taken as p < 0.05.

Generation of time-dependent ultra-short optical pulse trains in the presence of self-steepening effect

Starting from the extended nonlinear Schrodinger equation in which the self-steepening effect is included, the evolution and the splitting processes of continuous optical wave whose amplitude is perturbed into time related ultra-short optical pulse trains in an optical fibre are numerically simulated by adopting the split-step Fourier algorithm. The results show that the self-steepening effect can cause the characteristic of the pulse trains to vary with time, which is different from the self-steepening-free case where the generated pulse trains consist of single pulses which are identical in width, intensity, and interval, namely when pulses move a certain distance, they turn into the pulse trains within a certain time range. Moreover, each single pulse may split into several sub-pulses. And as time goes on, the number of the sub-pulses will decrease gradually and the pulse width and the pulse intensity will change too. With the increase of the self-steepening parameter, the distance needed to generate time-dependent pulse trains will shorten. In addition, for a large self-steepening parameter and at the distance where more sub-pulses appear, the corresponding frequency spectra of pulse trains are also wider.

Exchange Bias Effect in Phase Separated La0.33Pr0.34Ca0.33MnO3 Thin Films

Exchange bias effect is observed in the phase separated La0.33Pr0.34Ca0.33MnO3 thin films. High exchange bias field of about 1 kOe is achieved at 4 K. The exchange bias effect in La0.33Pr0.34Ca0.33MnO3 thin films might originate from the intrinsic phase separation of the La0.33Pr0.34Ca0.33MnO3 or surface effect. The dependence of exchange bias effect on temperature, cooling field, and thickness is also investigated. This work would open an avenue to the application in the magnetic memory devices based on the phase separated manganites.

Conceptual Design Optimization of Fighter Trainer Aircraft with Double-delta Wing Configuration

Compared with a delta wing aircraft, the double delta wing configuration has better aerodynamic performance at high angles of attack. An operational analysis was introduced as a method for evaluating training effectiveness of trainer aircraft. Approaches to the engineering estimation of aerodynamic characteristics for aircraft with a double delta wing configuration were studied, and the procedures for determining aircraft performance indices formulated. Taking training effectiveness as the objective function and geometric parameters of the wing platform as design variables, through a numerical multivariate optimization arithmetic, the conceptual design optimization for a certain fighter trainer aircraft with double delta wing configuration was carried out under the constraints of tactical and technical requirements and interrelated geometry. Agreement of a calculation example with engineering practice indicates that the optimal design has higher training effectiveness than the baseline design, and in addition, improves the structural force bearing conditions.

形状记忆合金在辅助器具和康复设备中的应用

背景:随着科技的不断进步,新技术和新方法的引入将为形状记忆合金在辅助和康复领域的应用带来更多的可能性和新的突破。目的:通过综述形状记忆合金在辅助器具和康复设备中的应用现状,讨论它们的主要方法、技术和结果,归纳总结并提出建议,希望形状记忆合金能够不断优化,为辅助和康复设备的发展带来更多新的变革。方法:通过计算机检索万方、Pub Med和Web of Science数据库,以“形状记忆合金,应用进展,正畸,矫形,假肢,康复,特性,植入,力学性能,镍钛记忆合金,驱动”为中文检索词,以“Shape memory alloys,Application,Orthodontics,Orthopedic,Prosthetics,Rehabilitation,Properties,Implant,Drive,Progress,Prostheses”为英文检索词,最终纳入91篇文献进行综述。结果与结论:(1)形状记忆合金具有耐腐蚀性、耐磨性、生物相容性、抗疲劳性和抗扭结性等特性,相比其他传统材料(不锈钢、钛合金、钴铬合金等)具有更低的弹性模量且无生物毒性,适合作为假体长期植入体内。由于其具有形状记忆效应和优异的力学性能,遂主要作为驱动元件或作为连接设备和人体的桥梁应用于假肢、矫形器和康复设备中。(2)使用形状记忆合金驱动元件能够减轻设备质量、消除噪声、容易操作、便于携带和更好地辅助关节运动等,比起使用气动、液压和电气驱动方法的设备优势明显。(3)另外形状记忆合金在变形时能够产生恒久、稳定的应力,相比不锈钢、钛合金和铝合金矫形器具有更高的材料回收率且不用频繁更换调整,所以在矫治畸形方面更具实用价值。(4)目前形状记忆合金在矫形器中应用最多,在镫骨假体中的临床应用效果最好。而由于技术及成本等的限制,形状记忆合金在假肢和康复设备中的应用较少,且缺乏对应用效果的大样本研究。(5)虽然形状记忆合金在辅助和康复领域得到了一定的发展,但仍存在许多问题:对形状记忆合金进行精准控制很难;形状记忆合金的冷却速度慢;无法对其变形速度进行控制;缺乏对不同性状形状记忆合金的对比研究和专家共识;形状记忆合金成本高,价格贵。(6)未来应注意开发新型形状记忆合金,增加对比性研究,采用新技术、新方法(如4D打印等)解决目前存在的问题,从而研发出高性能的辅助器具和康复设备。
