As an important component of load transfer,various fatigue damages occur in the track as the rail service life and train traffic increase gradually,such as rail corrugation,rail joint damage,uneven thermite welds,rail ...As an important component of load transfer,various fatigue damages occur in the track as the rail service life and train traffic increase gradually,such as rail corrugation,rail joint damage,uneven thermite welds,rail squats fas-tener defects,etc.Real-time recognition of track defects plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and stable operation of rail transit.In this paper,an intelligent and innovative method is proposed to detect the track defects by using axle-box vibration acceleration and deep learning network,and the coexistence of the above-mentioned typical track defects in the track system is considered.Firstly,the dynamic relationship between the track defects(using the example of the fastening defects)and the axle-box vibration acceleration(ABVA)is investigated using the dynamic vehicle-track model.Then,a simulation model for the coupled dynamics of the vehicle and track with different track defects is established,and the wavelet power spectrum(WPS)analysis is performed for the vibra-tion acceleration signals of the axle box to extract the characteristic response.Lastly,using wavelet spectrum photos as input,an automatic detection technique based on the deep convolution neural network(DCNN)is sug-gested to realize the real-time intelligent detection and identification of various track problems.Thefindings demonstrate that the suggested approach achieves a 96.72%classification accuracy.展开更多
A simple and fast prediction scheme is presented for train-induced ground and building vibrations.Simple models such as(one-dimensional)transfer matrices are used for the vehicle–track–soil interaction and for the b...A simple and fast prediction scheme is presented for train-induced ground and building vibrations.Simple models such as(one-dimensional)transfer matrices are used for the vehicle–track–soil interaction and for the building–soil interaction.The wave propagation through layered soils is approximated by a frequency-dependent homogeneous half-space.The prediction is divided into the parts“emission”(excitation by railway traffic),“transmission”(wave propagation through the soil)and“immission”(transfer into a building).The link between the modules is made by the excitation force between emission and transmission,and by the free-field vibration between transmission and immission.All formula for the simple vehicle–track,soil and building models are given in this article.The behaviour of the models is demonstrated by typical examples,including the mitigation of train vibrations by elastic track elements,the low-and high-frequency cut-offs characteristic for layered soils,and the interacting soil,wall and floor resonances of multi-storey buildings.It is shown that the results of the simple prediction models can well represent the behaviour of the more time-consuming detailed models,the finite-element boundary-element models of the track,the wavenumber integrals for the soil and the three-dimensional finite-element models of the building.In addition,measurement examples are given for each part of the prediction,confirming that the methods provide reasonable results.As the prediction models are fast in calculation,many predictions can be done,for example to assess the environmental effect along a new railway line.The simple models have the additional advantage that the user needs to know only a minimum of parameters.So,the prediction is fast and user-friendly,but also theoretically and experimentally well-founded.展开更多

Using the developed model, the influences of the thickness, length and mass of floating-slab, spring rate and its arrangement space, running speed, etc. on the time and frequency domain characteristics of steel-spring fulcrum force are analyzed. The applicability of steel-spring floatingslab track is discussed through two integrated example cases of metro and buildings possessing distinct natural vibra- tion characteristics. It is concluded that, it is quite significant, in the optimization modular design of the parameters of steel-spring floating-slab track, to take the matching relationship of both the amplitude-frequency characteristics of steel-spring fulcrum force and natural vibration characteristics of integrated structures into comprehensive consideration. In this way the expensive steel-spring floating-slab track can be economically and efficiently utilized according to the site condition, and at the same time, the economic losses and bad social impact resulted from the resonance during usage of steel-spring floating-slab track can be avoided.展开更多

According to structural characteristic of a slab track, a new spatial vibration model of track segment element of the slab track was put forward. The spatial vibration equation set of the high-speed train and slab track system was then established on the basis of the principle of total potential energy with stationary value in elastic system dynamics and the rule of "set-in-right-position" for formulating system matrices. The equation set was solved by the Wilson-θ direct integration method. The contents mentioned above constitute the analysis theory of spatial vibration of high-speed train and slab track system. The theory was then verified by the high-speed running experiment carried out on the slab track in the Qinghuangdao-Shenyang passenger transport line. The results show that the calculated results agree well with the measured rcsults, such as the calculated lateral and vertical rail displacements are 0.82 mm and 0.9 mm and the measured ones 0.75 mm and 0.93 mm, respectively; the calculated lateral and vertical wheel-rail forces are 8.9 kN and 102.3 kN and the measured ones 8.6 kN and 80.2 kN, respectively. The interpolation method, that is, the lateral finite strip and slab segment element, for slab deformation proposed is of simplification and applicability compared with the traditional plate element method. All of these demonstrate the reliability of the theory proposed.展开更多

The corresponding computer program was written by FORTRAN language. The dynamic responses of the high-speed train and slab track under cross-wind action were calculated. Meanwhile, the effects of the cross-wind on the dynamic responses of the system were also analyzed. The results show that the cross-wind has a significant influence on the lateral and vertical displacement responses of the car body, load reduction factor and overturning factor. For example, the maximum lateral displacement responses of the car body of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 32.10 and 1.60 mm, respectively. The maximum vertical displacement responses of the car body of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 6.60 and 3.29 mm, respectively. The maximum wheel load reduction factors of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 0.43 and 0.22, respectively. The maximum overturning factors of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 0.28 and 0.08, respectively. The cross-wind affects the derailment factor and lateral Sperling factor of the moving train to a certain extent. However, the lateral and vertical displacement responses of rails with the crnss-wind are almost the same as those without the cross-wind. The method presented and the corresponding computer program can be used to calculate the interaction between trains and track in cross-wind.展开更多

At first, relations between amplitude of vibration and frequency as well as main loop current and amplitude of vibration were analyzed. From this analysis, we deduced that frequency tracking process of the vibration system can be concluded as an optimizing problem of one dimensional fluctuant extremum of main loop current in vibration system. Then a method of self-optimizing fuzzy control, used for the realization of automatic frequency tracking in vibration system, is presented on the basis of serf-optimizing adaptive control approach and fuzzy control approach. The result of experiments shows that the fuzzy self-optimizing method can solve the problem of tracking frequency drift very well. Response time of tracking in the system is less than 50 ms, which basically meets the requirements of frequency tracking in ultrasonic plastic welding machine.展开更多

This paper presents a comparative analysis of ground vibration in three directions generated by a heavy-duty railway with various track sections.The vibration characteristics in the plane area were investigated by usi...This paper presents a comparative analysis of ground vibration in three directions generated by a heavy-duty railway with various track sections.The vibration characteristics in the plane area were investigated by using matrix test measurements.Acceleration peak attenuation was faster within 25 m from the embankment,and the high-frequency vibration attenuates faster with increased distance.For the cutting section with multi-stage soil slope,decay rate of acceleration was relatively larger.The acceleration level of the plane region ranged to 82.2-89.1 dB by the single C80 train.Yet the acceleration level caused by the C80 trains running parallel after meeting showed a distinct increment.The increment of the cutting section was much larger compared with the embankment section,with the increment ranging from 1.2-2.5 dB.In terms of the cutting section,Y direction acceleration was dominant closer to the track.Within 10-30 m of the track,the Y direction acceleration(perpendicular to the rail)decreased rapidly and became comparable to the X direction(parallel to the rail)and Z direction.Additionally,the cutting case generated a higher level of vibration in all three directions compared to the embankment,but as the distance from track increased,the deviation between acceleration gradually decreased.展开更多

First, a simplified model with a single wheelset moving at a constant speed on a tangential track with irregularity is used to investigate the longitudinal vibration dynamics. Computional results indicate that the longitudinal vibration frequency of the wheelset is most sensitive to the primary longitudinal stiffness and the mass of the wheelset. As to the locomotive model, the longitudinal vibration is concerned with cross-level irregularity and vertical profile irregularity. Meanwhile, a method to estimate the resonance speed is presented. Finally, a possible solution is brought forward to extend wheel-rail service life by eliminating longitudinal vibration of the wheelset. The solution is simply to arrang the primary vertical damper with a forward angle, so that its damping component can be applied to longimdinal direction.展开更多
This research introduces a challenge in integrating and cleaning the data,which is a crucial task in object matching.While the object is detected and then measured,the vibration at different light intensities may influ...This research introduces a challenge in integrating and cleaning the data,which is a crucial task in object matching.While the object is detected and then measured,the vibration at different light intensities may influence the durability and reliability of mechanical systems or structures and cause problems such as damage,abnormal stopping,and disaster.Recent research failed to improve the accuracy rate and the computation time in tracking an object and in the vibration measurement.To solve all these problems,this proposed research simplifies the scaling factor determination by assigning a known real-world dimension to a predetermined portion of the image.A novel white color sticker of the known dimensions marked with a color dot is pasted on the surface of an object for the best result in the template matching using the Improved Up-Sampled Cross-Correlation(UCC)algorithm.The vibration measurement is calculated using the Finite-Difference Algorithm(FDA),a machine vision systemfitted with a macro lens sensor that is capable of capturing the image at a closer range,which does not affect the quality of displacement measurement from the video frames.Thefield test was conducted on the TAFE(Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited)tractor parts,and the percentage of error was recorded between 30%and 50%at very low vibration values close to zero,whereas it was recorded between 5%and 10%error in most high-accelerations,the essential range for vibration analysis.Finally,the suggested system is more suitable for measuring the vibration of stationary machinery having low frequency ranges.The use of a macro lens enables to capture of image frames at very close-ups.A 30%to 50%error percentage has been reported when the vibration amplitude is very small.Therefore,this study is not suitable for Nano vibration analysis.展开更多

The uences range from 11010 to 11012 ions/cm2. The electronic energyloss (dE/dx)e increases from 5.9 to 31.5 keV/nm. The vibrational modi cations in irradiated mica were investigatedby Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and the latent tracks were observed by transmission electron microscope(TEM). The infrared spectrum shows that motions from all atom types in the muscovite mica structure could befound in modes for all vibrations. As shown in Fig. 1, the intensity of all vibrational modes in mica, including theOH stretch motion at 3621 cm??1, decreased with the increasing (dE/dx)e. The similar tendency is found in samplesirradiated by swift heavy ions with increasing ion uence. Purpose–This study aims to propose a vertical coupling dynamic analysis method of vehicle–track–substructure based on forced vibration and use this method to analyze the influence on the dynamic response of track a...Purpose–This study aims to propose a vertical coupling dynamic analysis method of vehicle–track–substructure based on forced vibration and use this method to analyze the influence on the dynamic response of track and vehicle caused by local fastener failure.Design/methodology/approach–The track and substructure are decomposed into the rail subsystem and substructure subsystem,in which the rail subsystem is composed of two layers of nodes corresponding to the upper rail and the lower fastener.The rail is treated as a continuous beam with elastic discrete point supports,and spring-damping elements are used to simulate the constraints between rail and fastener.Forced displacement and forced velocity are used to deal with the effect of the substructure on the rail system,while the external load is used to deal with the reverse effect.The fastener failure is simulated with the methods that cancel the forced vibration transmission,namely take no account of the substructure–rail interaction at that position.Findings–The dynamic characteristics of the infrastructure with local diseases can be accurately calculated by using the proposed method.Local fastener failure will slightly affect the vibration of substructure and carbody,but it will significantly intensify the vibration response between wheel and rail.The maximum vertical displacement and the maximum vertical vibration acceleration of rail is 2.94 times and 2.97 times the normal value,respectively,under the train speed of 350 km$h1.At the same time,the maximum wheel–rail force and wheel load reduction rate increase by 22.0 and 50.2%,respectively,from the normal value.Originality/value–This method can better reveal the local vibration conditions of the rail and easily simulate the influence of various defects on the dynamic response of the coupling system.展开更多

The track structure is modeled as an assembly of track elements with 30degrees of freedom, then the spatially coupling vibration matrix equation of the train-track time-variant system is es-tablished on the basis of the principle of total potential energy with stationary value and the "set-in-right-position"rule. The track vertical geometric irregularity is considered as the excitation source of the vertical vibration of thesystem, and the hunting wave of car bogie frame is taken as the excitation source of lateral vibration of the system.The spatially coupling vibration matrix equation of the system is solved by Wilson-θ direct integration method. Theapproximation of the calculated results to the spot test results demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of thepresented analysis method. For each track,the acceleration response in the free field was obtained.The numerical results show that the influence of vibrations from underground trains on sensitive equipment depends on the track types.At frequencies above 10 Hz,the floating slab track with a natural frequency of 7 Hz can be effective to attenuate the vibrations.展开更多
In this paper,the use of recycled tire-derived aggregates(TDA)mixed with ballast material is evaluated in order to reduce the train-induced ground-borne vibrations.For this purpose,a series of field vibration measurem...In this paper,the use of recycled tire-derived aggregates(TDA)mixed with ballast material is evaluated in order to reduce the train-induced ground-borne vibrations.For this purpose,a series of field vibration measurements has been carried out at an executed pilot track.The prepared ballast layer was mixed with different percentages of TDA in three sections.Moreover,another test section with pure ballast is considered as a reference.The vibrations generated by a motor-powered draisine at two different speeds are then recorded.Records of vibration data are provided using four seismometers placed once longitudinally and once transversely beside different sections.The outputs are then processed in both velocity–time and velocity–frequency domains.To verify the vibration mitigation performance of TDA in real operation conditions,field measurements under the passage of two planned passenger and freight trains are finally arranged.Results show that the best TDA mixture ratio,i.e.,10%by weight,can reduce the transmitted vibrations up to 12 dB for frequencies above 31.5 Hz.According to the obtained effi-ciency and the very low cost of the recycled materials,this solution can be considered as a competitive vibration countermeasure.展开更多

Eliminating the effects of gravity and designing nonlinear energy sinks(NESs)that suppress vibration in the vertical direction is a challenging task with numerous damping requirements.In this paper,the dynamic design ...Eliminating the effects of gravity and designing nonlinear energy sinks(NESs)that suppress vibration in the vertical direction is a challenging task with numerous damping requirements.In this paper,the dynamic design of a vertical track nonlinear energy sink(VTNES)with zero linear stiffness in the vertical direction is proposed and realized for the first time.The motion differential equations of the VTNES coupled with a linear oscillator(LO)are established.With the strong nonlinearity considered of the VTNES,the steady-state response of the system is analyzed with the harmonic balance method(HBM),and the accuracy of the HBM is verified numerically.On this basis,the VTNES prototype is manufactured,and its nonlinear stiffness is identified.The damping effect and dynamic characteristics of the VTNES are studied theoretically and experimentally.The results show that the VTNES has better damping effects when strong modulation responses(SMRs)occur.Moreover,even for small-amplitude vibration,the VTNES also has a good vibration suppression effect.To sum up,in order to suppress the vertical vibration,an NES is designed and developed,which can suppress the vertical vibration within certain ranges of the resonance frequency and the vibration intensity.展开更多

In the calculation of rail corrugation we consider the combination of Kalkers rolling contact theory modified, a model of material loss on rail running surface, and a dynamics model of railway vehicle coupled with a curved track. In the establishment of the dynamic model, for simplicity, one fourth of the freight car without lateral motions, namely a wheelset and the equivalent one fourth freight car body above it, is considered. The Euler beam is used to model the rails and the track structure under the rails is replaced with equivalent springs, dampers and mass bodies. The numerical results show the great influence of the rail corrugation on the vibration of the parts of the vehicle and the track, and the some characters of rail corrugation in development.展开更多

文摘A simple and fast prediction scheme is presented for train-induced ground and building vibrations.Simple models such as(one-dimensional)transfer matrices are used for the vehicle–track–soil interaction and for the building–soil interaction.The wave propagation through layered soils is approximated by a frequency-dependent homogeneous half-space.The prediction is divided into the parts“emission”(excitation by railway traffic),“transmission”(wave propagation through the soil)and“immission”(transfer into a building).The link between the modules is made by the excitation force between emission and transmission,and by the free-field vibration between transmission and immission.All formula for the simple vehicle–track,soil and building models are given in this article.The behaviour of the models is demonstrated by typical examples,including the mitigation of train vibrations by elastic track elements,the low-and high-frequency cut-offs characteristic for layered soils,and the interacting soil,wall and floor resonances of multi-storey buildings.It is shown that the results of the simple prediction models can well represent the behaviour of the more time-consuming detailed models,the finite-element boundary-element models of the track,the wavenumber integrals for the soil and the three-dimensional finite-element models of the building.In addition,measurement examples are given for each part of the prediction,confirming that the methods provide reasonable results.As the prediction models are fast in calculation,many predictions can be done,for example to assess the environmental effect along a new railway line.The simple models have the additional advantage that the user needs to know only a minimum of parameters.So,the prediction is fast and user-friendly,but also theoretically and experimentally well-founded.

文摘A coupled dynamics computation model for metro vehicles, along with a steel-spring floating-slab track, is developed based on the theory of vehicle-track coupled dynamics. Using the developed model, the influences of the thickness, length and mass of floating-slab, spring rate and its arrangement space, running speed, etc. on the time and frequency domain characteristics of steel-spring fulcrum force are analyzed. The applicability of steel-spring floatingslab track is discussed through two integrated example cases of metro and buildings possessing distinct natural vibra- tion characteristics. It is concluded that, it is quite significant, in the optimization modular design of the parameters of steel-spring floating-slab track, to take the matching relationship of both the amplitude-frequency characteristics of steel-spring fulcrum force and natural vibration characteristics of integrated structures into comprehensive consideration. In this way the expensive steel-spring floating-slab track can be economically and efficiently utilized according to the site condition, and at the same time, the economic losses and bad social impact resulted from the resonance during usage of steel-spring floating-slab track can be avoided.

文摘The motor and trailer cars of a high-speed train were modeled as a multi-rigid body system with two suspensions. According to structural characteristic of a slab track, a new spatial vibration model of track segment element of the slab track was put forward. The spatial vibration equation set of the high-speed train and slab track system was then established on the basis of the principle of total potential energy with stationary value in elastic system dynamics and the rule of "set-in-right-position" for formulating system matrices. The equation set was solved by the Wilson-θ direct integration method. The contents mentioned above constitute the analysis theory of spatial vibration of high-speed train and slab track system. The theory was then verified by the high-speed running experiment carried out on the slab track in the Qinghuangdao-Shenyang passenger transport line. The results show that the calculated results agree well with the measured rcsults, such as the calculated lateral and vertical rail displacements are 0.82 mm and 0.9 mm and the measured ones 0.75 mm and 0.93 mm, respectively; the calculated lateral and vertical wheel-rail forces are 8.9 kN and 102.3 kN and the measured ones 8.6 kN and 80.2 kN, respectively. The interpolation method, that is, the lateral finite strip and slab segment element, for slab deformation proposed is of simplification and applicability compared with the traditional plate element method. All of these demonstrate the reliability of the theory proposed.

文摘By taking cross-wind forces acting on trains into consideration, a dynamic analysis method of the cross-wind and high-speed train and slab track system was proposed on the basis of the analysis theory of spatial vibration of high-speed train and slab track system. The corresponding computer program was written by FORTRAN language. The dynamic responses of the high-speed train and slab track under cross-wind action were calculated. Meanwhile, the effects of the cross-wind on the dynamic responses of the system were also analyzed. The results show that the cross-wind has a significant influence on the lateral and vertical displacement responses of the car body, load reduction factor and overturning factor. For example, the maximum lateral displacement responses of the car body of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 32.10 and 1.60 mm, respectively. The maximum vertical displacement responses of the car body of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 6.60 and 3.29 mm, respectively. The maximum wheel load reduction factors of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 0.43 and 0.22, respectively. The maximum overturning factors of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 0.28 and 0.08, respectively. The cross-wind affects the derailment factor and lateral Sperling factor of the moving train to a certain extent. However, the lateral and vertical displacement responses of rails with the crnss-wind are almost the same as those without the cross-wind. The method presented and the corresponding computer program can be used to calculate the interaction between trains and track in cross-wind.

文摘In order to realize automatic tracking drift of resonance frequency of ultrasonic vibration system with high power and high quality factor Q, adaptive fuzzy control was studied with a self-fabricated ultrasonic plastic welding machine. At first, relations between amplitude of vibration and frequency as well as main loop current and amplitude of vibration were analyzed. From this analysis, we deduced that frequency tracking process of the vibration system can be concluded as an optimizing problem of one dimensional fluctuant extremum of main loop current in vibration system. Then a method of self-optimizing fuzzy control, used for the realization of automatic frequency tracking in vibration system, is presented on the basis of serf-optimizing adaptive control approach and fuzzy control approach. The result of experiments shows that the fuzzy self-optimizing method can solve the problem of tracking frequency drift very well. Response time of tracking in the system is less than 50 ms, which basically meets the requirements of frequency tracking in ultrasonic plastic welding machine.

文摘The uneven frost heave of frost-susceptible subgrade soil causes track irregularity,which highly enhances train vibration and affects the comfort and safety of railway transportation.This paper presents a coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical(THM)analysis for the freezing behavior of railway located above a box culvert.The vertical acceleration of the vehicle,an indicator of riding comfort,is predicted through a vehicle dynamic model.The results reveal that the existence of a box culvert changes the subgrade thermal pattern,leading to a deeper frost penetration depth.The frost heave amount above the box culvert is larger than the adjacent section,resulting in uneven track structure upheave and track irregularity.This frostinduced track irregularity highly affects train vibration.

文摘This paper presents a comparative analysis of ground vibration in three directions generated by a heavy-duty railway with various track sections.The vibration characteristics in the plane area were investigated by using matrix test measurements.Acceleration peak attenuation was faster within 25 m from the embankment,and the high-frequency vibration attenuates faster with increased distance.For the cutting section with multi-stage soil slope,decay rate of acceleration was relatively larger.The acceleration level of the plane region ranged to 82.2-89.1 dB by the single C80 train.Yet the acceleration level caused by the C80 trains running parallel after meeting showed a distinct increment.The increment of the cutting section was much larger compared with the embankment section,with the increment ranging from 1.2-2.5 dB.In terms of the cutting section,Y direction acceleration was dominant closer to the track.Within 10-30 m of the track,the Y direction acceleration(perpendicular to the rail)decreased rapidly and became comparable to the X direction(parallel to the rail)and Z direction.Additionally,the cutting case generated a higher level of vibration in all three directions compared to the embankment,but as the distance from track increased,the deviation between acceleration gradually decreased.

文摘The problems associated with vibrations of viaducts and low-frequency structural noise radiation caused by train excitation continue to increase in importance.A new floating-slab track vibration isolator-non-obstructive particle damping-phononic crystal vibration isolator is proposed herein,which uses the particle damping vibration absorption technology and bandgap vibration control theory.The vibration reduction performance of the NOPD-PCVI was analyzed from the perspective of vibration control.The paper explores the structure-borne noise reduction performance of the NOPD-PCVIs installed on different bridge structures under varying service conditions encountered in practical engineering applications.The load transferred to the bridge is obtained from a coupled train-FST-bridge analytical model considering the different structural parameters of bridges.The vibration responses are obtained using the finite element method,while the structural noise radiation is simulated using the frequency-domain boundary element method.Using the particle swarm optimization algorithm,the parameters of the NOPD-PCVI are optimized so that its frequency bandgap matches the dominant bridge structural noise frequency range.The noise reduction performance of the NOPD-PCVIs is compared to the steel-spring isolation under different service conditions.
文摘Longitudinal vibration of wheelset with respect to bogie frame often exists with a high acceleration magnitude and relative high frequency. First, a simplified model with a single wheelset moving at a constant speed on a tangential track with irregularity is used to investigate the longitudinal vibration dynamics. Computional results indicate that the longitudinal vibration frequency of the wheelset is most sensitive to the primary longitudinal stiffness and the mass of the wheelset. As to the locomotive model, the longitudinal vibration is concerned with cross-level irregularity and vertical profile irregularity. Meanwhile, a method to estimate the resonance speed is presented. Finally, a possible solution is brought forward to extend wheel-rail service life by eliminating longitudinal vibration of the wheelset. The solution is simply to arrang the primary vertical damper with a forward angle, so that its damping component can be applied to longimdinal direction.
文摘This research introduces a challenge in integrating and cleaning the data,which is a crucial task in object matching.While the object is detected and then measured,the vibration at different light intensities may influence the durability and reliability of mechanical systems or structures and cause problems such as damage,abnormal stopping,and disaster.Recent research failed to improve the accuracy rate and the computation time in tracking an object and in the vibration measurement.To solve all these problems,this proposed research simplifies the scaling factor determination by assigning a known real-world dimension to a predetermined portion of the image.A novel white color sticker of the known dimensions marked with a color dot is pasted on the surface of an object for the best result in the template matching using the Improved Up-Sampled Cross-Correlation(UCC)algorithm.The vibration measurement is calculated using the Finite-Difference Algorithm(FDA),a machine vision systemfitted with a macro lens sensor that is capable of capturing the image at a closer range,which does not affect the quality of displacement measurement from the video frames.Thefield test was conducted on the TAFE(Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited)tractor parts,and the percentage of error was recorded between 30%and 50%at very low vibration values close to zero,whereas it was recorded between 5%and 10%error in most high-accelerations,the essential range for vibration analysis.Finally,the suggested system is more suitable for measuring the vibration of stationary machinery having low frequency ranges.The use of a macro lens enables to capture of image frames at very close-ups.A 30%to 50%error percentage has been reported when the vibration amplitude is very small.Therefore,this study is not suitable for Nano vibration analysis.
文摘Muscovite mica sheets with a thickness of 12 m were irradiated by swift heavy ions Kr and Bi from Heavy IonResearch Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL). The uences range from 11010 to 11012 ions/cm2. The electronic energyloss (dE/dx)e increases from 5.9 to 31.5 keV/nm. The vibrational modi cations in irradiated mica were investigatedby Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and the latent tracks were observed by transmission electron microscope(TEM). The infrared spectrum shows that motions from all atom types in the muscovite mica structure could befound in modes for all vibrations. As shown in Fig. 1, the intensity of all vibrational modes in mica, including theOH stretch motion at 3621 cm??1, decreased with the increasing (dE/dx)e. The similar tendency is found in samplesirradiated by swift heavy ions with increasing ion uence. It is indicated that defects and structural modi cationsgenerated during swift heavy ion irradiation, and more defects are introduced by irradiation with higher ion uence.

文摘Purpose–This study aims to propose a vertical coupling dynamic analysis method of vehicle–track–substructure based on forced vibration and use this method to analyze the influence on the dynamic response of track and vehicle caused by local fastener failure.Design/methodology/approach–The track and substructure are decomposed into the rail subsystem and substructure subsystem,in which the rail subsystem is composed of two layers of nodes corresponding to the upper rail and the lower fastener.The rail is treated as a continuous beam with elastic discrete point supports,and spring-damping elements are used to simulate the constraints between rail and fastener.Forced displacement and forced velocity are used to deal with the effect of the substructure on the rail system,while the external load is used to deal with the reverse effect.The fastener failure is simulated with the methods that cancel the forced vibration transmission,namely take no account of the substructure–rail interaction at that position.Findings–The dynamic characteristics of the infrastructure with local diseases can be accurately calculated by using the proposed method.Local fastener failure will slightly affect the vibration of substructure and carbody,but it will significantly intensify the vibration response between wheel and rail.The maximum vertical displacement and the maximum vertical vibration acceleration of rail is 2.94 times and 2.97 times the normal value,respectively,under the train speed of 350 km$h1.At the same time,the maximum wheel–rail force and wheel load reduction rate increase by 22.0 and 50.2%,respectively,from the normal value.Originality/value–This method can better reveal the local vibration conditions of the rail and easily simulate the influence of various defects on the dynamic response of the coupling system.

文摘Virtual simulation teaching is an addendum to the experimental teaching mode of railway engineering,and the two teaching methods complement each other and merge with each other.In view of the current research,there is little discussion about the integration path of the two above.Based on the connotation and design of virtual simulation teaching,this research systematically expounds the integration of the real path and path optimization problems,and puts forward the railway engineering experimental teaching principles based on virtual simulation teaching.On the basis of this research,a virtual simulation experiment platform for vibration mechanics and its application in the floating slab vibration damping track was developed to make full use of three-dimensional modeling,virtual reality,human-computer interaction and other technologies,which can realistically simulate the vibration law and vibration damping effect of the rail transit system,and in the hope that the virtual simulation teaching can be widely used in the experimental teaching mode of railway engineering in the future.

文摘There exist three problems in the calculation of lateral vibration of the train-track time-variant system athome and abroad and the method to solve them is presented. Spatially coupling vibration analysis model of train-track time-variant system is put forward. Each vehicle is modeled as a multi-body system with 26 degrees of freedomand the action of coupler is also considered. The track structure is modeled as an assembly of track elements with 30degrees of freedom, then the spatially coupling vibration matrix equation of the train-track time-variant system is es-tablished on the basis of the principle of total potential energy with stationary value and the "set-in-right-position"rule. The track vertical geometric irregularity is considered as the excitation source of the vertical vibration of thesystem, and the hunting wave of car bogie frame is taken as the excitation source of lateral vibration of the system.The spatially coupling vibration matrix equation of the system is solved by Wilson-θ direct integration method. Theapproximation of the calculated results to the spot test results demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of thepresented analysis method. Finally, some other vibration responses of the system are also obtained.

文摘The impact of vibrations due to underground trains on Beijing metro line 15 on sensitive equipment in the Institute of Microelectronics of Tsinghua University was discussed to propose a viable solution to mitigate the vibrations.Using the state-of-the-art three-dimensional coupled periodic finite element-boundary element(FE-BE) method,the dynamic track-tunnel-soil interaction model for metro line 15 was used to predict vibrations in the free field at a train speed of 80 km/h.Three types of tracks(direct fixation fasteners,floating slab track and floating ladder track) on the Beijing metro network were considered in the model. For each track,the acceleration response in the free field was obtained.The numerical results show that the influence of vibrations from underground trains on sensitive equipment depends on the track types.At frequencies above 10 Hz,the floating slab track with a natural frequency of 7 Hz can be effective to attenuate the vibrations.
文摘In this paper,the use of recycled tire-derived aggregates(TDA)mixed with ballast material is evaluated in order to reduce the train-induced ground-borne vibrations.For this purpose,a series of field vibration measurements has been carried out at an executed pilot track.The prepared ballast layer was mixed with different percentages of TDA in three sections.Moreover,another test section with pure ballast is considered as a reference.The vibrations generated by a motor-powered draisine at two different speeds are then recorded.Records of vibration data are provided using four seismometers placed once longitudinally and once transversely beside different sections.The outputs are then processed in both velocity–time and velocity–frequency domains.To verify the vibration mitigation performance of TDA in real operation conditions,field measurements under the passage of two planned passenger and freight trains are finally arranged.Results show that the best TDA mixture ratio,i.e.,10%by weight,can reduce the transmitted vibrations up to 12 dB for frequencies above 31.5 Hz.According to the obtained effi-ciency and the very low cost of the recycled materials,this solution can be considered as a competitive vibration countermeasure.

文摘Aiming at the independent development of tracked vehicles,it is urgent to improve its mobility,passability and ride comfort,a new type of flexible road wheel with a“wheel-hinge-hub”combined structure is proposed in this study.The vibration model characteristics of the flexible road wheel were studied by the combination of numerical simulation and experiments.The superelasticity of rubber is obtained through uniaxial tensile experiment of the material and a detail three-dimensional nolinear finite element model of the flexible road wheel is established through finite element software ABAQUS.The free vibration equation of the flexible road wheel is solved by Lanczos vector direct superposition method,and its predicted modes and natural frequencies are compared with experimental results,which verifies the accuracy and reliability of the established finite element model.On this basis,the effects of various key structural or material factors on the natural frequencies of the flexible road wheel are studied using orthogonal experimental design method.Besides,the vibration modal characteristics of the flexible road wheel are also compared with those of the rigid road wheel.The research results provide a theoretical basis for the vibration and noise reduction of flexible road wheel.

文摘Eliminating the effects of gravity and designing nonlinear energy sinks(NESs)that suppress vibration in the vertical direction is a challenging task with numerous damping requirements.In this paper,the dynamic design of a vertical track nonlinear energy sink(VTNES)with zero linear stiffness in the vertical direction is proposed and realized for the first time.The motion differential equations of the VTNES coupled with a linear oscillator(LO)are established.With the strong nonlinearity considered of the VTNES,the steady-state response of the system is analyzed with the harmonic balance method(HBM),and the accuracy of the HBM is verified numerically.On this basis,the VTNES prototype is manufactured,and its nonlinear stiffness is identified.The damping effect and dynamic characteristics of the VTNES are studied theoretically and experimentally.The results show that the VTNES has better damping effects when strong modulation responses(SMRs)occur.Moreover,even for small-amplitude vibration,the VTNES also has a good vibration suppression effect.To sum up,in order to suppress the vertical vibration,an NES is designed and developed,which can suppress the vertical vibration within certain ranges of the resonance frequency and the vibration intensity.

文摘The effect of rail corrugation on the vertical dynamics of railway vehicle coupled with a curved track is investigated in detail with a numerical method when a wheelset is steadily curving. In the calculation of rail corrugation we consider the combination of Kalkers rolling contact theory modified, a model of material loss on rail running surface, and a dynamics model of railway vehicle coupled with a curved track. In the establishment of the dynamic model, for simplicity, one fourth of the freight car without lateral motions, namely a wheelset and the equivalent one fourth freight car body above it, is considered. The Euler beam is used to model the rails and the track structure under the rails is replaced with equivalent springs, dampers and mass bodies. The numerical results show the great influence of the rail corrugation on the vibration of the parts of the vehicle and the track, and the some characters of rail corrugation in development.
