With the acceleration of urbanization,the demand for water supply and drainage pipe networks has increased significantly.In the planning of urban construction,it is necessary to optimize the design of the water supply and drainage system pipe network to effectively save energy while providing residents with more accessible water resources.Therefore,the municipal water supply and drainage system and the water transmission methods should be designed according to the geographical conditions of the city.In this paper,we mainly analyze the design of municipal water supply and drainage systems and the selection of water transmission methods.Besides,the optimization of the water supply and drainage network zoning process and pipe network maintenance is also discussed,so as to provide a reference for municipal water supply and drainage work. 展开更多

The trend in video viewing has been evolving beyond simply providing a multi-view option.Recently,a function that allows selection and viewing of a clip from a multi-view service that captures a specific range or object has been added.In particular,the free-view service is an extended concept of multi-view and provides a freer viewpoint.However,since numerous videos and additional data are required for its construction,all of the clips constituting the content cannot be simultaneously provided.Only certain clips are selected and provided to the user.If the video is not the preferred video,change request is made,and a delay occurs during retransmission from the server.Delays due to frequent re-requests degrade the overall quality of service.For free-view services,selectively transmitting the video according to the user’s desired viewpoint and region of interest within the limited network of available videos is important.In this study,we propose a method of screening and providing the correct video based on objects in the contents.Based on the method of recognizing the object in each clip,we designed a method of setting its priority based on information about the object’s location for each viewpoint.During the transmission and receiving process using this information,the selected video can be rapidly recognized and changed.Herein,we present a service system configuration method and propose video selection examples for free-view services. 展开更多

This paper describes a data transmission method using a cyclic redundancy check and inaudible frequencies.The proposed method uses inaudible high frequencies from 18 k Hz to 22 k Hz generated via the inner speaker of smart devices.Using the proposed method,the performance is evaluated by conducting data transmission tests between a smart book and smart phone.The test results confirm that the proposed method can send 32 bits of data in an average of 235 ms,the transmission success rate reaches 99.47%,and the error detection rate of the cyclic redundancy check is0.53%. 展开更多

In order to optimize the wood internal quality detection and evaluation system and improve the comprehensive utilization rate of wood,this paper invented a set of log internal defect detection and visualization system by using the ultrasonic dry coupling agent method.The detection and visualization analysis of internal log defects were realized through log specimen test.The main conclusions show that the accuracy,reliability and practicability of the system for detecting the internal defects of log specimens have been effectively verified.The system can make the edge of the detected image smooth by interpolation algorithm,and the edge detection algorithm can be used to detect and reflect the location of internal defects of logs accurately.The content mentioned above has good application value for meeting the requirement of increasing demand for wood resources and improving the automation level of wood nondestructive testing instruments. 展开更多

When the MILO is driven by a 430 k V, 40.6 k A electron beam, high-power microwave is generated with a peak output power of 3.0 GW and frequency of 1.51 GHz, and the relevant power conversion efficiency is 17.2%. The 3-d B tunable frequency range(the relative output power is above half of the peak output power) is 2.25–0.825 GHz when the outer radius of the slow-wave structure(SWS) vanes ranges from 77 mm to 155 mm, and the 3-d B tuning bandwidth is 92%, which is sufficient for the aim of large-scale tuning and high power output. 展开更多

In this Letter, we have proposed a generalized Gaussian probability density function(GGPDF)-based method to estimate the symbol error ratio(SER) for pulse amplitude modulation(PAM-4) in an intensity modulation/direct detection(IM/DD) system. Furthermore, a closed form expression of SERGGDfor PAM-4 has been derived. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated through simulation as well as experimental work.The fitting of probability density functions of the received signal is applied via GGPDF and shape parameters P1 and P2 associated with different PAM-4 levels are determined. The optimum single value of shape parameter P is then calculated to estimate the SER. The mathematical relationship of P with different received optical powers and receiver bandwidths has been determined and verified. The proposed method is a fast and accurate method to estimate SER of a PAM-4 system, which is more reliable and in agreement with the error counting method. 展开更多

This paper presents a novel way to improve Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) performance of the users at the edge areas of the macro cells in Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) systems. Previous works on improving wireless TCP performance are reviewed and current considerations on TCP in LTE-A are explained. However, those solutions are neither too complex nor limited to some presuppositions which are too restricting for the deployment of LTE-A networks. In this paper a substituted TCP acknowledgement transmission scheme based on Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) information in layer 2 is proposed. The simulation result shows that the proposed method can reduce the delay and improve the throughput of the edging users of the cell, as well as reducing radio resources in LTE-A macro cells. 展开更多

Under high speed and heavy loading, the vi... As a passive means of vibration reduction, particle damping is mainly applied to the horizontal or vertical steady field. However, it is seldom applied to centrifugal fields. Under high speed and heavy loading, the vibration of tooth surfaces of gear transmissions becomes more severe shortening gear service life and augmenting noise. Under centrifugal loading, the particle system exhibits different characteristics, for example, particles are extruded at the end farthest from the center. We investigated gears with drilled via holes filled with damping particles. Using the discrete-element method, we developed an energy dissipation model for the particle system accounting for friction and inelastic collisions. Energy dissipation and damping characteristics of this system were analyzed. Experiments were also conducted with the gear system having different particle filling rates. The results show that this filling rate is an important parameter associated with particle damping in a centrifugal field. An unsuitable filling rate would significantly reduce damping effectiveness. With changes in rotation speed and load, the gear transmission system has different optimal filling rates. The results provide guidelines for the application of particle damping in centrifugal fields of gear transmissions. 展开更多

Three-photon absorption(3PA) of a push-pull chromophore,2-(3-cyano-(3-(4-(dimethylamino)styryl)-5,5-dimethylcyclohex- 2-enylidene)methyl)-5,5-dimethylfuran-2-ylidene) malononitrile(CFM) including TCF group was measured by the nonlinear transmission method using a femto-second Ti:Sapphire oscillator-amplifier laser system.Its three-photon absorption cross-sections at 1300 ran were 36.8×10^-79 cm^6 s^2 in the solution of DMF and 12.3×10^-79 cm^6 s^2 in the solution of CH_2Cl_2,respectively.The large values were got by experiments in this paper,which is a new exploration for these kinds of materials.The molecule has the potential application foreground of 3PA areas and optical power limiting. 展开更多
