Hence, its purification becomes important. Generally, tris is purified by recrystallisation. Koch et al. tried to sublime it at atmospheric pressure and under nitrogen current, but without success. We succeeded in purifying the compound using vacuum sublimation, which possesses the advantages of (ⅰ) simplicity in operation, and (ⅱ) no contamination can be introduced during the process.
