The transverse and longitudinal GMI effect in patterned FeSiB/Cu/FeSiB tri-layer films with the change of external magnetic field and frequency were studied at the same time. The change of the impedance of the films with the external magnetic fieldand frequency was shown. Comparing the longitudinal and transverse effect, the transverse effect has a larger linear range from zero magnetic field to a quite large magnetic field at all frequencies, and the change still were not saturated until the external magnetic field reached 1.2×104A/m, which illustrated that the films can be utilized to detect larger magnetic fields than now presented GMI sensors.展开更多

With in-house rotating anode X-ray source, these crystals diffract to 1.65 ?resolution which is much higher than that of the previously reported crystals that diffracted only to 3 ?resolution. The crystals belong to space group P212121 with cell parameters a = 41.5, b = 58.4 and c = 99.3 . Molecular replacement studies indicate that the cucurmosin structure is homologous to trichosanthin. The initial structural model has been obtained and the model fitting/ refinement is in progress.展开更多

In this study, a constant volume visual method is used to measure the critical point ofCO2+n-butyraldehyde, CO2+ i-butyraldehyde and CO2+alcohol binary systems and CO2+entrainer+trisodiumsalt of tri-(m-sulfonphenyl)phosphine (TPPTS) ternary systems, which provides us good theoretical basis for super-critical extraction and chemical reaction. The relationship between critical point and concentration of the entrainerare discussed. The phase behavior of binary system and that of ternary system are compared. The relationshipbetween the concentration of TPPTS and critical point of binary systems are also discussed.展开更多

Biological parameters related to hatching, lifetime, number of blood meals to molt, percentage of females at the end of the cycle, number of laid eggs, and mortality for each instar of 3 M. phyllosomus subspecies [M. p. mazzottii (Usinger), M. p. pallidipennis (Stal), and M. p. phyllosomus] and their laboratory hybrids were evaluated and compared. No significant differences (P 〉 0.05) were found among the experimental hybrids (MaPa, MaPhy, PaPhy) and reciprocal cohorts. In 5 (hatching, number of blood meals to molt, accumulative mortality, percentage of females, and mean number of laid eggs) of the 6 studied parameters (with the exception of development time), the hybrid cohorts had better fitness results than the parental cohorts involved in each set of crosses. The increase in hybrid fitness found in our study could lead to an increase in the epidemiologic risks caused by transmission of Trypanosoma cruzi to humans.展开更多

Tri-[bis(2-hydroxyethylammonium)] citrate(DCi) was synthesized in a simple and low-cost way, and the ionic structure of DCi was confirmed by proton nuclear magnetic resonance(^(1)H NMR). The stability measurement of 1 wt% DCi to a MO was investigated, and the lubricating ability and anti-wear properties of DCi as an additive in MO were also examined using a custom-designed reciprocating ball-on-flat tribometer. Optical microscope and profilometry were used to obtain the worn morphology of the steel disks. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS) were carried out to investigate the wear mechanism and to analyze the surface interactions between the rubbing components. When 1 wt% DCi is added into the base MO, frictional performance is improved at both temperatures studied with a friction reduction of 29.0% and 35.5%, respectively. Moreover, the addition of 1 wt% DCi to MO reduced the wear volume 59.4% compared to the use of MO. An oxygen-richened tribolayer is confirmed by EDS on the disk surface when DCi was used as additive under 100℃.展开更多
