The results indicate that the organic amine has a certain influence on the crystal shape and size. The alkaline condition was in favor of the crystallization of ZSM-5 zeolite in the triethylene-tetramine system. The catalytic activity of as-synthesized crystals was examined for the aqueous hydroxylation of phenol with hydrogen peroxide. The phenol conversion was 13.6%, and the selectivities of the as-synthesized samples for catechol, hydroquinone, and benzoquinone were 66.0%, 23.6%, and 10.4%, respectively. The as-synthesized ZSM-5 sample shows a relatively high selectivity towards catechol and could be a promising catalyst.展开更多
