Objective： The aim of our study was to investigate the effects of （-）-epigallocatechin-3-gallate （EGCG, the major phytochemistry component in green tea） on the expression of connexin43 （Cx43） gene and detect th...Objective： The aim of our study was to investigate the effects of （-）-epigallocatechin-3-gallate （EGCG, the major phytochemistry component in green tea） on the expression of connexin43 （Cx43） gene and detect the intercellular communication of the human bladder cancer cell lines BIU-87, and explore its possible mechanisms of prevention and cure for the bladder tumor. Methods： The methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium and Annexin-V/PI double-labeled flow cytometry methods were used to observe the growth inhibitory rate （IR） and apoptosis rate （AR） of BlU-87 cells treated by EGCG at different concentrations （0, 5, 10 and 20 mg/L）, respectively. The reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） and Western Blotting analysis were employed to detect the relative expression levels of the Cx43 mRNA and its protein. The scrape-loading fluorescence dye transfer method was used to assess the gap junction intercellular communication （GJIC） under fluorescence microscope. Results： EGCG at concentrations （10 and 20 mg/L） both could significantly inhibit the proliferation and induce the apoptosis of BIU-87 cells. The IR and AR were （15.67 ± 1.15）%, （18.33 ± 1.53）% and （42.00 ± 4.34）%, （27.33 ± 3.21）%, respectively. And compared with the control groups of 0 mg/L and 5 mg/L （P 〈 0.05）, EGCG could significantly up-regulate the expression of Cx43 mRNA and its protein and enhance the function of BIU-87 cells. The effects had the significant correlation with the dose-dependent of EGCG. Conclusion： EGCG （10, 20 mg/L） could effectively up-regulate Cx43 expression and enhance the GJIC of BlU-87 cells. The results may indicate the effects of EGCG inducing bladder tumor cells apoptosis and inhibiting its growth which provides the experimental evidence for further demonstrating the mechanism of chemical prevention and cure for the bladder tumor by EGCG.展开更多

Its Communication strategy leading to recalls has brought it into conflict with its customers and regulatory agencies. BVRI CCD photometry of the poorly studied open cluster NGC 6724 has been carried out down to a limiting magnitude of V-20 mag. The stars of the cluster have been observed using the Newtonian focus （f/4.84） of the 74...BVRI CCD photometry of the poorly studied open cluster NGC 6724 has been carried out down to a limiting magnitude of V-20 mag. The stars of the cluster have been observed using the Newtonian focus （f/4.84） of the 74-inch telescope at Kottamia Astronomical Observatory in Egypt. Also, the 2MASS - JHK system is used to confirm the results we obtained. The main photometric parameters have been estimated for the present object; the diameter is found to be 6 arcmin, the distance is 15304-60pc from the Sun and the age is 900＋50Myr. The optical reddening E（B - V） = 0.65 mag, while the infrared reddening is E（J - H） = 0.20 mag. The slope of the mass function distribution and the relaxation time estimations indicate that cluster NGC 6724 is dynamically relaxed.展开更多

Aiming at the problems of insufficient ...Since the Modbus RTU wired communication protocol of Siemens variable frequency motors is unstable and lacks a protection mechanism, there is a risk of user information leakage. Aiming at the problems of insufficient flexibility of traditional defense methods and poor defense effects, The present work proposed a new dual detection method based on MODBUS RTU, which combines the dual monitoring mechanism of “Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) request detection” and “ARP response detection”. In order to improve detection efficiency, two real-time updated linear tables are introduced, which can effectively deal with the three ARP spoofing methods of updating the ARP buffer. Based on the analysis of the hidden dangers of the Modbus RTU wired communication protocol, a wired connection between the S7-1200 PLC and the variable frequency motor was established, and a real experimental platform was constructed to demonstrate the attack. The intensity of ARP attacks has gradually increased over time. Through comparative experiments with traditional defense methods, it is proved that the algorithm enhances the protocol mechanism in principle, and is more flexible and reliable than traditional methods.展开更多

While defenders of minor languages frequently make use of such concepts as ecosystem, human rights, capital, power, imperialism, etc. To express alarm at the spread of the English language in the present world, researchers tend to forget that these concepts applied to languages are only metaphors which, taken at their face value, would conceal the non- exclusive nature of language as a communicative instrument. A question is raised as to whether we should go beyond an essentially nationalist perception of language inherited from the nineteenth century.展开更多
