A characteristic dimension is found for the cubic, cylindrical and spherical-shaped samples of the sweet potato. This characteristic dimension corresponds to the diameter D for the sphere, to the edge a for the cube and the diameter = height D = H for the cylinder. Unlike the sphere where this characteristic dimension is perfect, the cubic and cylindrical shapes have space factors which are, among other things, angles and borders. By fixing the same characteristic dimensions, we end up with overlapping curves, showing identical and uniform transfers.展开更多

Wide tunability of electron density, high mobility of motion, and feasible controllability in microscales are the most prominent advantages that researchers strive for. Nevertheless, it is always difficult to fulfill all in one solid-state system. Two-dimensional electron systems(2DESs) floating above the superfluid helium surfaces are thought to meet these three requirements simultaneously, ensured by the atomic smoothness of surfaces and the electric neutrality of helium. Here we report our recent work in preparing, characterizing, and manipulating 2DESs on superfluid helium. We realized a tunability of electron density over one order of magnitude and tuned their transport properties by varying electron distribution and measurement frequency. The work we engage in is crucial for advancing research in many-body physics and for development of single-electron quantum devices rooted in these electron systems.展开更多

In this paper, the closely related IFP-flat and IFP-injective dimensions are introduced and studied. We show that IFP-fd(M) = IFP-id(M+) and IFP-fd(M+)=IFP-id(M) for any R-module M over any ring R. Let :Z-In (resp., "Zgv,~) he the class of all left (resp., right) R-modules of IFP-injective (resp., IFP-flat) dimension at most n. We prove that every right R-module has an IFn- preenvelope, (IFn,IF⊥n) is a perfect cotorsion theory over any ring R, and for any ring R with IFP-id(RR) 〈 n, (IIn,II⊥n) is a perfect cotorsion theory. This generalizes and improves the earlier work (J. Algebra 242 (2001), 447-459). Finally, some applications are given.展开更多

文摘2D,3D chloride ion concentration at the edge and corner zones were systematically investigated for fly ash concretes made with different cement replacement percentage by fly ash (0%,10%,20%,40%,60%),water to binder ratios (0.3,0.35,0.4),and curing ages (28 d,90 d).An interaction effect caused by 2D and 3D diffusion could obviously be observed through the comparison with 1D testing results. In order to quantify the interaction effect,2D and 3D diffusion interaction coefficients was proposed in this paper. Finally, the changes of 2D and 3D interaction coefficients with the change in the free chloride ion concentration were given. The above research provide an insight into chloride ion attack on the edge and corner reinforcing bars of concrete structures in the field of civil engineering.
文摘The linear relationship between fractal dimensions of a type of generalized Weierstrass functions and the order of their fractional calculus has been proved. The graphs and numerical results given here further indicate the corresponding relationship.

文摘Potassium ion batteries(PIBs)with the prominent advantages of sufficient reserves and economical cost are attractive candidates of new rechargeable batteries for large-grid electrochemical energy storage systems(EESs).However, there are still some obstacles like large size of K+to commercial PIBs applications. Therefore, rational structural design based on appropriate materials is essential to obtain practical PIBs anode with K+accommodated and fast diffused.Nanostructural design has been considered as one of the effective strategies to solve these issues owing to unique physicochemical properties.Accordingly, quite a few recent anode materials with different dimensions in PIBs have been reported, mainly involving in carbon materials,metal-based chalcogenides(MCs),metal-based oxides(MOs),and alloying materials.Among these anodes, nanostructural carbon materials with shorter ionic transfer path are beneficial for decreasing the resistances of transportation.Besides,MCs,MOs,and alloying materials with nanostructures can effectively alleviate their stress changes.Herein, these materials are classified into 0D,1D,2D,and 3D.Particularly,the relationship between different dimensional structures and the corresponding electrochemical performances has been outlined.Meanwhile, some strategies are proposed to deal with the current disadvantages.Hope that the readers are enlightened from this review to carry out further experiments better.

文摘Let R be a ring. We define a dimension, called P-cotorsion dimension, for modules and rings. The aim of this article is to investigate P-cotorsion dimensions of modules and rings and the relations between P-cotorsion dimension and other homological dimensions. This dimension has nice properties when the ring in consideration is generalized morphic.

文摘Electron systems in low dimensions are enriched with many superior properties for both fundamental research and technical developments. The work we engage in is crucial for advancing research in many-body physics and for development of single-electron quantum devices rooted in these electron systems.
文摘A novel computational reconstruction method called the Lucy–Richardson–Rosen algorithm(LRRA)for the construction of a single-shot infrared 3D imaging microscope was reported in Opto-Electronic Science. In that study,a commonly available optical element, the Cassegrain objective lens, was used as a coded aperture for 3D imaging using LRRA.Unlike regular coded aperture imaging systems, achieving 3D imaging using commonly available imaging devices leads to the development of hybrid imaging systems where direct and indirect imaging concepts coexist. The development above will make 3D imaging more commonly used in daily life.

文摘In basic homological algebra, the flat and injective dimensions of modules play an important and fundamental role. Finally, some applications are given.
