This paper is concerned with the following fourth-order three-point boundary value problem , where , we discuss the existence of positive solutions to the above problem by applying to the fixed point theory in cones and iterative technique.

The asymptotic relation between the first crossing point and the last exit time of Gaussian order statistics sequences

In this paper,we study the asymptotic relation between the first crossing point and the last exit time for Gaussian order statistics which are generated by stationary weakly and strongly dependent Gaussian sequences.It is shown that the first crossing point and the last exit time are asymptotically independent and dependent for weakly and strongly dependent cases,respectively.The asymptotic relations between the first crossing point and the last exit time for stationary weakly and strongly dependent Gaussian sequences are also obtained.

Existence of solutions and positive solutions to a fourth-order two-point BVP with second derivative

Several existence theorems were established for a nonlinear fourth-order two-point boundary value problem with second derivative by using Leray-Schauder fixed point theorem, equivalent norm and technique on system of integral equations. The main conditions of our results are local. In other words, the existence of the solution can be determined by considering the height of the nonlinear term on a bounded set. This class of problems usually describes the equilibrium state of an elastic beam which is simply supported at both ends.

Control system design for a pressure-tube-type supercritical water-cooled nuclear reactor via a higher order sliding mode method

Nuclear power plants exhibit non-linear and time-variable dynamics.Therefore,designing a control system that sets the reactor power and forces it to follow the desired load is complicated.A supercritical water reactor(SCWR)is a fourth-generation conceptual reactor.In an SCWR,the non-linear dynamics of the reactor require a controller capable of control-ling the nonlinearities.In this study,a pressure-tube-type SCWR was controlled during reactor power maneuvering with a higher order sliding mode,and the reactor outgoing steam temperature and pressure were controlled simultaneously.In an SCWR,the temperature,pressure,and power must be maintained at a setpoint(desired value)during power maneuvering.Reactor point kinetics equations with three groups of delayed neutrons were used in the simulation.Higher-order and classic sliding mode controllers were separately manufactured to control the plant and were compared with the PI controllers speci-fied in previous studies.The controlled parameters were reactor power,steam temperature,and pressure.Notably,for these parameters,the PI controller had certain instabilities in the presence of disturbances.The classic sliding mode controller had a higher accuracy and stability;however its main drawback was the chattering phenomenon.HOSMC was highly accurate and stable and had a small computational cost.In reality,it followed the desired values without oscillations and chattering.

Unifying the theory of integration within normal-,Weyl- and antinormal-ordering of operators and the s-ordered operator expansion formula of density operators

By introducing the s-parameterized generalized Wigner operator into phase-space quantum mechanics we invent the technique of integration within s-ordered product of operators （which considers normally ordered, antinormally ordered and Weyl ordered product of operators as its special cases）. The s-ordered operator expansion （denoted by s…s ） formula of density operators is derived, which isρ=2/1-s∫d^2β/π〈-β｜ρ｜β〉sexp{2/s-1（s｜β｜^2-β＊α＋βa-αα）}s The s-parameterized quantization scheme is thus completely established.

Existence and iteration of monotone positive solutions for a third-order two-point boundary value problem

The existence of nondecreasing positive solutions for the nonlinear third-order twopoint boundary value problem u′″（t） ＋ q（t）f（t,u（t）,u′（t）） = 0, 0 〈 t 〈 1, u（0） = u″（0） = u′（1） = 0 is studied. The iterative schemes for approximating the solutions are obtained by applying a monotone iterative method.

DOUBLE HIGH ORDER S－BREAKING BIFURCATION POINTS AND THEIR NUMERICAL DETERMINATION

We consider double high order S-breaking bifurcation points of two-Parameter dependent nonlinear problems with Z_2×Z_2-symmetry. Because of the underlying symmetry we could propose some regular extended systems to determine double high order S-breaking bifurcation points. and we could also show that there exist two quadratic pitchfork bifurcation point paths passing through the point being considered.

Existence and Uniqueness of Positive Solution for Third-Order Three-Point Boundary Value Problems

This paper is devoted to the study of the existence and uniqueness of the positive solution for a type of the nonlinear third-order three-point boundary value problem. Our results are based on an iterative method and the Leray-Schauder fixed point theorem.

Three-point explicit compact difference scheme with arbitrary order of accuracy and its application in CFD

Based on the successive iteration in the Taylor series expansion method, a three-point explicit compact difference scheme with arbitrary order of accuracy is derived in this paper. Numerical characteristics of the scheme are studied by the Fourier analysisl Unlike the conventional compact difference schemes which need to solve the equation to obtain the unknown derivatives in each node, the proposed scheme is explicit and can achieve arbitrary order of accuracy in space. Application examples for the convectiondiffusion problem with a sharp front gradient and the typical lid-driven cavity flow are given. It is found that the proposed compact scheme is not only simple to implement and economical to use, but also is effective to simulate the convection-dominated problem and obtain high-order accurate solution in coarse grid systems.

Existence and Stability Analysis of Fractional Order BAM Neural Networks with a Time Delay

Based on the theory of fractional calculus, the contraction mapping principle, Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem and the inequality technique, a class of Caputo fractional-order BAM neural networks with delays in the leakage terms is investigated in this paper. Some new sufficient conditions are established to guarantee the existence and uniqueness of the nontrivial solution. Moreover, uniform stability of such networks is proposed in fixed time intervals. Finally, an illustrative example is also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.

ON QUADRATURE FORMULAE FOR SINGULAR INTEGRALS OF ARBITRARY ORDER

Some quadrature formulae for the numerical evaluation of singular integrals of arbitrary order are established and both the estimate of remainder and the convergence of each quadrature formula derived here are also given.

RANDOM SINGULAR INTEGRAL OF RANDOM PROCESS WITH SECOND ORDER MOMENT

Then Plemelj formula and some other properties for random singular integral are proved.

EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS RESULTS FOR BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS OF HIGHER ORDER FRACTIONAL INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS INVOLVING GRONWALL'S INEQUALITY IN BANACH SPACES

We study boundary value problems for fractional integro-differential equations involving Caputo derivative of order α∈ （n-1, n） in Banach spaces. Existence and uniqueness results of solutions are established by virtue of the Holder＇s inequality, a suitable singular Cronwall＇s inequality and fixed point theorem via a priori estimate method. At last, examples are given to illustrate the results.

FIXED POINTS OF INCREASING OPERATORS IN ORDERED SPACE WITH APPLICATIONS

The minimal-maximal fixed points theorems of increasing operators are proved in ordered space and some well-known results of increasing operators and monotone operators are improved and generalized. The obtained results are then applied to singular nonlinear boundary problem in ordinary differential equation without any assumption of continuity, compactness, convexity and concavity.

In this paper we prove common fixed point results for multivalued and singlevalued mappings in partially ordered metric space. Dynamic Analysis of Some Impulsive Fractional-Order Neural Network with Mixed Delay

In this paper,the authors study some impulsive fractionalorder neural network with mixed delay. By the fractional integral and the definition of stability, the existence of solutions of the network is proved,and the sufficient conditions for stability of the system are presented. Some examples are given to illustrate the main results.
