The identification and characterization of these interlayers iscritical for minimizing the uncertainty associated with oilfield development and improving oil and gas recovery.Identifying interlayers outside wells using identification methods based on logging data and machine learning isdifficult and seismic-based identification techniques are expensive. Herein, a numerical model based on seepageand well-testing theories is introduced to identify interlayers using transient pressure data. The proposed modelrelies on the open-source MATLAB Reservoir Simulation Toolbox. The effects of the interlayer thickness, position, and width on the pressure response are thoroughly investigated. A procedure for inverting interlayer parametersin the reservoir using the bottom-hole pressure is also proposed. This method uses only transient pressuredata during well testing and can effectively identify the interlayer distribution near the wellbore at an extremelylow cost. The reliability of the model is verified using effective oilfield examples.展开更多

Simultaneous pressure measurements were made on its entire ellipsoidal roof in a simulated suburban boundary layer flow field. Special attention is paid to the charaeteristics of fluctuating wind pressures in different zones on the roof. Some selected results are presented: 1) correlations between fluctuating wind pressures on both roof surfaces, 2) eigenvalues and eigenvectors of covariance matrices of the fluctuating wind pressures, 3) probability distributions of the fluctuating wind pressures, and 4) statistical characteristics of peak factor. Furthermore, the applicability of the quasi-steady approach is discussed in detail. Based on the results, an empirical formula for estimating the minimum pressure coefficients, using a peak factor approach, is presented. Comparison of the minimum pressure coefficients determined by the proposed formula and those obtained from the wind tunnel tests is made to examine the applicability and accuracy of the proposed formula.展开更多

Occlusion pressure, as an important parameter of infusion pumps, should be detected when an occlusion occurred. How-ever, infusion pumps’ occlusion pressure could not be tested and the performance of these pumps is not known to us. In order to test the occlusion pressure of infusion pump, a testing system has been put forward according to standards of IEC 60601-2-24:1998/ GB 9706.27- 2005. The system is comprised of sensor, acquisition card, three-way tap and so on;this system is controlled by a PC. At the same time, sampling rate could be changed if necessary and test time could be recorded. And then the characteristics of this system were studied, such as linear, effects of pump rates and different pumps. The system remained linear in a given environment. The higher is the pump rate, the faster is the time to reach occlusion condi-tion. The testing system has been proved to be effective in testing the occlusion pressure of infusion pumps and the accuracy error of pressure is content the demand of ±1% of range.展开更多

Lab testing and on-site testing was carried out. The modular zonal sampling and testing system is composed of 10 functional modules, namely ground control system, downhole power supply module, drainage pump, electronically controlled anchor, electronically controlled packer, electronically controlled sampler, magnetic positioning sub, terminal sub, adapter cable, and quick connector. Indoor tests have confirmed that the performance parameters of each module meet the design requirements. The downhole function modules of the system can withstand pressures up to 35 MPa and temperatures up to 85 ℃. The rubber cylinder of the electronically controlled packer can withstand a pressure difference of more than 10 MPa. The electronically controlled anchor has an anchoring force of greater than 6.9 t, and can be forcibly detached in the event of an accident. The discharge pump has a displacement of 0.8 m;/d and a head of 500 m. The electronically controlled sampler can meet the requirement of taking 500 mL of sample in each of the 3 chambers. Field tests in Jilin Oilfield show that the system can realize rapid isolation and self-check of isolation of a certain production interval downhole, as well as layer-by layer pressure build-up test. The drainage pump can be used to discharge the mixed liquid between the upper and lower packers and near the wellbore to obtain real fluid samples of the tested formation interval. The data obtained give us better understanding on the pay zones in old oilfields, and provide important basis for development plan adjustment, reservoir stimulation, and EOR measures.展开更多

The structure of the new type of ultra-high pressure pipe joint is simple and is easy to be produced. The finite element model on two working conditions( preload condition with 30 N·m torque and static-loading condition with 70 MPa pressure) is built and computed. According to the steam generator program requirement, condition monitoring assessment was performed to the all detected flaws. For condition monitoring assessments, the limiting structural integrity requirement should be demonstrated for all detected degraded tubes at a probability of at least 0.95 at 50% confidence. Some flaws were slightly exceeded the structural integrity threshold values of the condition monitoring performance limits using analytical method. As a direct evaluation of tube integrity with degraded tubes, in-situ pressure testing performed on some selected flaws and passed all proof and leakage test criteria with no leakage. From this pressure testing, the authors have verified that degraded tubes met a specified value containing a defined safety margins. Also, the authors have confirmed that existing structural assessment methodology has enough margins to retain integrity of steam generator tubes.展开更多

It has such features as extremely long interval (550m), high pressure (74.5MPa) and pressure coefficient (2.022). Gas reservoirs with a pressure coefficient of over 2.0 are not commonly found. The abnormal high-pressure reservoirs are quite different in characteristic and performance during the process of depletion exploitation. Therefore, it is necessary to know the property of pressure sensitivity for this abnormal high-pressure reservoir. The aim of this paper is to test the reservoir pressure sensitivity and to analyze its effect on the deliverability of gas. Through some experiments, the permeability change with the confining pressure of rock samples from KeLa-2 abnormal high-pressure gas reservoir is measured. A power function is used to match the measured data, and to derive an empirical equation to describe the change of permeability through the change of the reservoir pressure or effective overburden pressure. Considering the permeability change during the development of reservoirs, a conventional deliverability equation is modified, and the deliverability curve for KeLa-2 gas reservoir is predicted. The research indicates that the extent of the pressure sensitivity of rock samples from KeLa-2 is higher than that from the Daqing oilfield. KeLa-2 reservoir rock has the feature of an undercompaction state. The pressure sensitivity of a reservoir may decrease the well deliverability. It is concluded that for KeLa-2 reservoir the predicted absolute open flow (AOF), when the pressure sensitivity is taken into account, is approximately 70% of the AOF when permeability is constant and does not change with pressure.展开更多

To find the reasons in the abnormally collapse and countermeasures, first the quality of the tubing was checked. It was founded that the collapse was not resulted from the defect of the tubing. Then, force and stress exerted in the tubing was analyzed taking XS2 well as an example. The analysis results were concluded as follows. The collapsing strength of tubing decreased due to the axial tensile, which is seriously at the upper tubing especially. During injecting, the additional axial force that was caused by the temperature effect increased the tubing near wellhead to suffer axial tensile and further reduced the collapsing strength of tubing near wellhead. Reinforcing defect, prohibiting defect tubing to trip in hole, according to the calculation to impose appropriate annular pressure, selecting size nozzle to reverse pumping and controlling the reverse pumping speed and pressure, prohibiting to be opened flow and reducing or releasing the annular pressure can prevent the well testing tubing down-hole being collapsed at the wellhead.展开更多

The effects of UHP on the structural, pasting, and thermal properties of starch were investigated using solid-state 13C CP/MAS NMR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), HPSEC-MALLS-RI, and a rapid visco analyzer. The 13C CP/MAS NMR results revealed a reduction in the relative crystallinity and peak intensity of the crystalline state with increasing the UHP time. The molecular weight of native starch was 1.433 × 107 Da, which was higher than that of the UHP-treated starch. Viscograms of UHP-treated starch revealed an increase in paste viscosity, peak time, and pasting temperature and a reduction in breakdown and setback viscosity compared to the native starch. Furthermore, the DSC results showed a reduction in gelatinization temperature and gelatinization enthalpy with increasing the UHP time.展开更多

The reliability of the model is verified using effective oilfield examples.
文摘The mechanical behavior of the test string in deep wells is generally relatively complex as a result of the high temperature and high pressure, severe dogleg and buckling effects, which in some circumstances can even lead to string failure.Traditional computational methods for the analysis of these behaviors are often inaccurate. For this reason, here a more accurate mechanical model of the test string is introduced by considering variables such as temperature, pressure, wellbore trajectory, and buckling,as well as combining them with the deformation and string constraint conditions brought in by changes in temperature and pressure during the tripping, setting, and test operations. The model is validated by applying it to a specific high-pressure gas well(located in Northeast Sichuan).

文摘A wind tunnel test was conducted for a large steel gymnasium structure. Comparison of the minimum pressure coefficients determined by the proposed formula and those obtained from the wind tunnel tests is made to examine the applicability and accuracy of the proposed formula.
文摘Reliability of medical devices such as infusion pumps is extremely important because these devices are being used in patients who are in critical condition. The testing system has been proved to be effective in testing the occlusion pressure of infusion pumps and the accuracy error of pressure is content the demand of ±1% of range.

文摘To accurately obtain development dynamic data such as zonal pressure and fluid parameters of each oil layer in the late development stage of a high water-cut old oilfield, a modular zonal sampling and testing technology with the characteristics of modularization, full electronic control and rapidity was proposed and developed. The data obtained give us better understanding on the pay zones in old oilfields, and provide important basis for development plan adjustment, reservoir stimulation, and EOR measures.

文摘Analysis as well as application of ultra-high pressure hydraulic system and elements has become a trend. The structure and operation principle of a new type of ultra-high pressure pipe joint is introduced. The structure of the new type of ultra-high pressure pipe joint is simple and is easy to be produced. The finite element model on two working conditions( preload condition with 30 N·m torque and static-loading condition with 70 MPa pressure) is built and computed. The width of contact area, the equivalent stress status,as well as the contact pressure status are plotted and analyzed. According to the national standard, test on air-tightness,blasting,and cyclic endurance is conducted and the results show that the new type of ultra-high pressure pipe joint has the sealability for ultra-high pressure up to 70 MPa,and the DN6 ultra-high pressure pipe joint can provide effective seal under70 MPa fluid pressure. The research can provide a thinking and method on designing ultra-high pressure pipe joint and push forward the development of ultra-high pressure hydraulic system.
文摘This paper assessed the benefit of the in-situ pressure test to support steam generator tube integrity assessment and reviewed a conservatism of currently applied structural integrity assessment methodology against defected tubes. Also, the authors have confirmed that existing structural assessment methodology has enough margins to retain integrity of steam generator tubes.
文摘KeLa-2 gas reservoir is the largest uncompartimentalized gas field so far discovered in China, with a reserve of hundreds of billions of cubic meters of dry gas. It is concluded that for KeLa-2 reservoir the predicted absolute open flow (AOF), when the pressure sensitivity is taken into account, is approximately 70% of the AOF when permeability is constant and does not change with pressure.
文摘Because various reasons, the tubing near wellhead was collapsed during well testing in high pressure and high temperature deep well when the outer pressure was less than collapsing strength. Reinforcing defect, prohibiting defect tubing to trip in hole, according to the calculation to impose appropriate annular pressure, selecting size nozzle to reverse pumping and controlling the reverse pumping speed and pressure, prohibiting to be opened flow and reducing or releasing the annular pressure can prevent the well testing tubing down-hole being collapsed at the wellhead.

文摘During the test on transient pressure signal in explosion field, false trigger caused by field interference can lead to test failure. To improve the stability of test system,a signal detection and recognition technology is proposed for transient pressure test system. In the process of signal acquisition, firstly, electrical levels are monitored in real time to find effective abrupt changes and mark them;then the effective data segments are detecdted totected;thus the effective signals can be acquired in turn finally. The experimental results show that the shock wave signal can be collected effectively and the reliability of the test system can be improved after removal of interferences.

文摘For the shock wave overpressure signal measurement of explosion field, the type and equivalent of the ammunition as well as the distance from test nodes to ground zero have a great influence on the characteristics of shock wave signal. To ensure that shock wave signal with different characteristic parameters can be collected completely in the test of shooting range, a tran- sient pressure signal storage system with configurable parameters is presented. In order to meet the requirements of different test nodes, the system can set parameters of all test nodes by wireless communication in explosion field. The feasibility and re- liability of the system are fully verified through transient pressure measurement in explosion field.

文摘The rock bridges sandwiched in incipiently jointed rock mass were considered as barriers that block the fluid seepage, and provide certain shear strength reservation. For better revealing the influence of hydraulic pressure on the failure behaviour of rock bridges, direct shear tests were carried out through a newly proposed method on rock samples that contain two parallel incipient joints.By developing the gypsum-silicone pad coupling samples,a conventional triaxial test system was qualified to implement direct shear tests with satisfied sealing capability. The results showed that the rock bridges could be failed through the tensile failure, shear failure and mixed failure mechanism. The hydraulic pressure would facilitate the tensile failure mechanism and induce rougher fracture surfaces;while the normal stress would facilitate the shear failure mechanism and induce less rough fracture. The hydraulic pressure reduced the global shear strength of the rock block through reducing the efficient normal stress applied on the rock bridge area, which was highly dependent on the joint persistence,k.Moreover, because of the iterating occurrence of the hydraulic pressure lag with the fracture propagation, the rock bridge failure stage in the shear stress-shear displacement curves displayed a fluctuation trend.

文摘Lotus seed starch (15%, w/w) was subjected to ultra-high pressure (UHP) at 500 MPa for 10~60 min. Furthermore, the DSC results showed a reduction in gelatinization temperature and gelatinization enthalpy with increasing the UHP time.
