The linear growth systems include the EW equation and the model of random deposition with surface relaxation(RDSR), the nonlinear growth systems involve the KPZ equation and typical discrete models including ballistic deposition(BD), etching, and restricted solid on solid(RSOS). The scaling exponents are obtained in both the(1 + 1)-and(2 + 1)-dimensional competitive growth with the nonlinear growth probability p and the linear proportion 1-p. Our results show that, when p changes from 0 to 1, there exist non-trivial crossover effects from EW to KPZ universality classes based on different competitive growth rules. Furthermore, the growth rate and the porosity are also estimated within various linear and nonlinear growths of cooperation and competition.展开更多

The concepts of radical universality and strong universality based on the concept of natural human rights are too idealistic and thus have a high risk of being alienated into a tool of international re-pression in practice. On the contrary, the theory on the subjectivity of human rights can effectively defuse this risk brought about by radical universality and strong universality. It is found that the crack propagates along the weakest crystal plane no matter what the direction of the maximum stress is if the anisotropy is sufficiently strong; and then, the fractal dimension of the fractured surfaces might be determined by the approximate fractal structure already existed in the material. Specificity of the fractal dimension of fractured surfaces would be easy to appear in this case. The model is local, conservative, and Abelian. We apply the moment analysis to evaluate critical exponents and finite size scaling method to consistently test the obtained results. Numerical results show that this model, Oslo model, and one-dimensional Abelian Manna model have the same critical behavior although the three models have different stochastic toppling rules, which provides evidences suggesting that Abelian sandpile models with different stochastic toppling rules are in the same universality class.展开更多

As examples of 2D chaotic billiards, we considered the Bunimovich stadium billiard and the Sinai billiard. In the level spacing distribution and spectral rigidity, we found GOE behaviour consistent with predictions from random matrix theory. We studied transport properties and computed a diffusion coefficient. For the Sinai billiard, we found normal diffusion, while the stadium billiard showed anomalous diffusion behaviour. As example of a 2D integrable billiard, we considered the rectangular billiard. We found very rigid behaviour with strongly correlated spectra similar to a Dirac comb. These findings present numerical evidence for universality in level spacing fluctuations to hold in classically integrable systems and in classically fully chaotic systems.展开更多

To address this issue, the finite size analysis of the nonequilibrium phase transition, in two-dimensional Ising ferromagnet driven by plane propagating magnetic wave, is studied by Monte Carlo simulation. It is observed that the system undergoes a nonequilibrium dynamic phase transition from a high temperature dynamically symmetric (propagating) phase to a low temperature dynamically symmetry-broken (pinned) phase as the system is cooled below the transition temperature. This transition temperature is determined precisely by studying the fourth-order Binder Cumulant of the dynamic order parameter as a function of temperature for different system sizes (L). From the finite size analysis of dynamic order parameter ?and the dynamic susceptibility , we have estimated the critical exponents and ?(measured from the data read at the critical temperature obtained from Binder cumulant), and (measured from the peak positions of dynamic susceptibility). Our results indicate that such driven Ising ferromagnet belongs to the same universality class of the two-dimensional equilibrium Ising ferromagnet (where and ), within the limits of statistical errors.展开更多

At thesame time, this process also makes spirit reach its own self-consciousness and self-realization. Among manyoppositions and contradictions, one of the key issues that Hegel attempts to deal with is the relationship betweenindividuality and universality in spirit. In Hegel's view, spirit is universal self-consciousness, a unity ofindividuality and universality. Consistent with his philosophy, the task of his aesthetics is also to reconcileuniversality and individuality in spirit. In Aesthetics, this settlement is mainly reflected in three aspects, namely theunity of content and form, the unity of the general world situation, and the character and finally the unity ofsubjective artistic creation and objective performance. In this way, Hegel's Aesthetics bridges the distance betweenindividuality and universality, achieving the goal of self-consciousness and self-realization in spirit, thus giving hisresponse to the problem of binary opposition caused by modern philosophy and aesthetics.展开更多

A beauty meson (B+) transforms into a strange meson (K+) with the emission of either electron-positron (e+e-) or muon-antimuon (<span style="white-space:nowrap;"><em>μ</em></span>+<em>μ</em>-). The ratio (<em>R</em>K) of branching fractions for B+ <span style="white-space:nowrap;">→</span> K+<em>μ</em>+<em>μ</em>- and B+<span style="white-space:nowrap;">→</span> K+e+e- decays is measured to be <em>R</em>K = 0.846 instead of 1 in the violation of lepton universality in the Standard Model. This paper proposes that the violation is derived from the binary isotope mixture of two beauty-quarks, b7 (4979 MeV mass) and b8 (143,258 MeV mass) whose masses are calculated from the periodic table of elementary particles. b7 is the observable B, while b8 is the hidden B to preserve the generation number symmetry between the three lepton family generations and the three quark family generations in the Standard Model. The preservation of the generation number symmetry forbids b8 to decay into K+<em>μ</em>+<em>μ</em>-. In the transition state involving the virtual particles (<span style="white-space:nowrap;"><em>γ</em></span>, W± and Z<span style="white-space:nowrap;">°</span>) before the decay, b7 and b8 emerge to form the binary isotope mixture from B. The rates of emergence as the rates of diffuse in Graham’s law of diffusion are proportional to inverse square root of mass. The rate ratio between b8/b7 is (4979/143,258)1/2 = 0.1864. Since b7 decays into K+, e+e-, and <em>μ</em>+<em>μ</em>-, while b8 decays into K+, e+e-, and forbidden <em>μ</em>+<em>μ</em>-, the calculated ratio (RK) of branching fractions for B+<span style="white-space:nowrap;">→</span> K+<em>μ</em>+<em>μ</em>- and B+<span style="white-space:nowrap;">→</span> K+e+e- is 0.5/(0.1864 × 0.5+ 0.5) = 0.843 in excellent agreement with the observed 0.846. The agreement between the calculated RK and the observed RK confirms the validity of the periodic table of elementary particles which provides the answers for the dominance of matter over antimatter, dark-matter, and the mass hierarchy of elementary particles.展开更多

The notion of "universal human rights" indicates the ideal of "all human rights for all." As the provision in Article 2 of the UDHR stated: "Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, sex, language, religion, politi cal or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status." However, some nonWestern govern ment officials and intellectuals have expressed doubts about the justifi ability of the term, which seems only to be a reflection of unique Western culture rather than Asian or Arabian ones. At the Vienna World Human Rights Conference, many heads of state said that universal human rights cannot be compatible with nonWest em culture. Even Lee Kuan Yew, the former leader of Singapore, declared in 1996: "Asian values are universal values. European values are European values.''~ This statement is obviously a rejection of the idea that human rights are universal. In contrast, universal rights extremists and human rights activists and NGOs, such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, try to propagandize unified international human rights standards and international human rights re gimes. The debate continues from the diplomatic field to the academic field. But, in the foreseeable future,展开更多
